Dorcas rummaged about her wardrobe and through her draws, she really needed to go shopping sometime soon. She'd worn all these clothes before and rather than making some new ones, a quick fix would be to buy some. She could also buy some new materials and make her own for when she had nothing else to do of a weekend or a night, but she had a feeling that she was going to be kept busy every night for the rest of her life. There was so much to do and so much to see that there was no way she'd still have time to make her own clothes. Still, the thought occured to her that she could have her clothes made. She vaugly recalled seeing a Hufflepuff girl that had been in her year in Hogsmeade fixing up clothes and such. Vanessa, or Nessa as she believed the girl liked to be called. Dorcas wondered if she made clothes to order. It would certainly be something she'd start looking into because Dorcas had a very different sense of fashion to most and enjoyed her leather pants especially.
Throwing on an old outfit she'd worn a few times before when she was in Hogwarts, Dorcas let her hair down and flicked it over her shoulders so it hung down her back. She crossed her room and opened up her little jewellery box and slipped on her favourite rings. Sure some would call the skull and snake ring tasteless with the whole wizarding war, but one - they were going out to a muggle place and two - Dorcas liked snakes and skulls. Not that she was about to keep any really snakes or start gathering skulls or anything sadistic like that, she just liked that sort of thing and that was that. She wasn't gothic or any sort of person that would do any sort of unnecessary harm to anyone at all.
Lining her eyes with an eyeliner and coating her lashes with a bit of mascara Dorcas slipped her purple lipgloss into her pocket after applying some to her lips. She grabbed her wand and had to ponder where to put it for a while. Usually she'd just take it out with her in the wizarding world, but they weren't going to the wizarding world, they were bigging it up in the muggle realm and wands would look weird and suspicious and were obviously going to make her look like some crazy nutcase to a cute, sexy male muggle. Ah well, maybe Wally would have some idea's because she wasn't sticking it down her pants and she wasn't carrying it about as it was and she wasn't in the mood to take a handbag. She even kept her money down her top, nestled away by her boobs, a thought that she was sure would make Wally uncomfortable if she were to share it with him.
Leaving her room and making sure she shut her door behind herself she headed across the hall to Wally's room. She waited outside and gave a knock on the door, hoping Wally wasn't wearing anything too .... posh. She really hoped he had something with him that would pass as acceptable for going to the pub in, though in all fairness if he wanted to go in a tux, bow-tie and god damned top hat, she'd not give a crap, she'd just have a good old laugh at his expense and then take him out for a night he'd never forget. "Ready yet Wally-monster?" She called through the door, figuring that if his pants weren't on yet and she walked in, he might get a little embarrassed.

There was not a doubt in Waldemar's mind that Dorcas was probably having a far easier time getting dressed into something more appropriate for a pub crawl. Hence, he was pretty surprised that it seemed to take her longer than him, then again, when he opened the door to let her in, he knew what had taken her so long. He had sort of forgotten that for girls, a night out didn't just mean clothes, but also hair and make up and accesoires. Part of him was glad that he didn't have to worry about that. Another part of him was a little anxious to hear what she thought of his clothes - because Waldemar was painfully aware of the fact that she would probably disapprove. "Well, this is the best outfit I have, anyway," he said in response to her question and tugged on his shirt's sleeves. Was it okay to wear long sleeves in a pub? If not, he guessed they could just cut them shorter - he had plenty of shirts and if that meant he'd have to wear any of Dorcas' clothes, that was good. Personally, Wally was pretty pleased with his outfit. His trousers would've been formal with a white shirt and a tie, but like this, they didn't seem all that bad, he thought. "I suppose we could transfigure them a little, if needed," he suggested with another shrug and a slight smile. "It's not like I care if these get ruined much." It was true. Not that his parents bought him anything he liked, but they did insist on him looking presentable at least while he was still living with them; Waldemar knew they'd get him made a new suit if they thought he needed it. Looking Dorcas over again, he smiled. "You look good, though. You sure you want to make me look better, because you'll look even better in comparison with me?" Waldemar grinned and made his friend do a twirl to admire her outfit for a moment. He did mean the compliment - Dorcas had a style that was all her own and suited her. "Where, eh, are you keeping your wand, though?" If they didn't cut his sleeves, Waldemar was planning to keep his in his trouser pocket. As his clothes were custom made by wizarding tailors, there was a wand pocket in there, only small enough to fit one wand (Wally's to be precise) and hardly visible. "Please don't tell me you're going to carry it around in your top?" He knew Dorcas well enough by now to know that it was a possibility. [Sorry it's a little short! xD And no worries about the wait (: Also, Nessa would be happy to make Dorcas an outfit! She's currently experimenting with corsets :3]

Dorcas stood waiting after she had knocked on the door. She was quite curious to find out what Wally was going to be wearing for his first night out in the muggle world. Well, she assumed it was actually going to be his first night out ever! She wasn't too sure how he was going to handle it or his alcohol, but she knew one thing for sure, it was going to be the greatest night of his life so far and she had every intention of creating more and more nights that he'd never forget, or if she did her job correctly, nights he'd only ever remember small parts of and wake up the next day with an exceedingly handsome guy between his thighs. Oh yes, that would be the life.
Wally opened his bedroom door and Dorcas was taken aback. He actually looked surprisingly normal and so the brunette cracked a smile. "Are you kidding? You look perfect Wally!" Dorcas really was actually quite surprised. If Wally wasn't so skinny and effeminate she'd even pass him off as straight, but everything from his fine cheek bones to his posture seemed to suggest that yeah, this guy might be gay. Though for Dorcas, that just meant a whole new world of fun she'd never before entered. Wally was her gay best friend and she was looking forward to going out with him for years to come!
Dorcas allowed herself to be complimented and then snorted. Wally was really coming out of his shell and Dorcas was loving his zazzy sense of humour. If he wasn't gay and if she could never settle down, she was sure she would marry the guy in front of her and, if he were ever to try and get deported, she really would actually marry him to keep him in the country. No way she'd let her Wally-Monster go anywhere now, even if he wanted to - which she somewhat expected he might want to if he were to get deported.
Dorcas allowed herself to be twirled about by the man before her and laughed at the mention of her wand. "Of course not down my top!" She said in an almost outraged voice but with a laugh, but she added on a more serious note; "It's going up my skirt" And then laughed again before shrugging her shoulders. "I'll think of ... somewhere." Before she'd even finished that sentence she'd had an idea. She bent down and rolled up her trouser leg. She stuck the wand in her boot, along the inside of her leg, pointing down. Probably not the safest place but she'd survive and it was unnoticeable. Besides, eighteen year olds weren't exactly the types to think about wand safety. Well, unless you were Wally probably.
Dorcas sorted out her trousers legs and her boots and got everything looking perfect. For every day in the wizarding world she did have a strap thing that she could attach to her thigh to hold her wand, but one; she rarely used it because she always forgot about it, and two; tonight she was going out muggle style, so no visible wands!
"Right! Time to hit the town! Right, we both know my address so if one of us is passed out from copious amounts of alcohol, we can still catch the Knight Bus home!" To Dorcas this seemed like a great plan, especially the getting drunk! "Alrighty then! We'll disapperate from the entrance hall I think. Say goodbye to mum and dad." Though a goodbye to Dorcas' parents was a scream from the hall way, she was sure that Wally's family had a far more proper way of saying goodbye. Probably with a hug from his mother and a stern yet hearty handshake from his father. Then again Dorcas did let her imagination goet away sometimes and liked to make things up about people based on what very little she knew of them.
Before she knew it she had taken Wally's hand and lead him down the stairs and quite fast too. Her sister complained about the noise and Dorcas just yelled back at her to shut the hell up before standing at the front door, clasping Wally's hand. "BYE MUM! BYE DAD! BYE POOFACE!" and with that, Dorcas grabbed hold of Wally around the waste and disapperated them to the side alley of a pub..
Letting go of Wally went she felt hard, yet uneaven ground beneath her feet, Dorcas stumbled back and landed on her arse. Like most wizards she was able to disapperate without actually holding onto her wand but unlike most she was better at apparating if she was taking someone along with her. She supposed it was because her balance was terrible and holding onto someone else helped. However this time was an exception, she thought as she stood up and dusted her arse off, but she had landed on a stone, she discovered, looking closely at the uneven ground. Trust her to be able to find the only spot on a flat alley where the was a stone to land on.
"Ready?" She asked Wally with a smirk before walking up the alley and turning the corner and entering the busy pub they'd apparated next to.

To be honest, he had expected Dorcas to see his outfit, spell his clothes off there and then, and drag him over to her own wardrobe. When she didn't, that was a welcome turn of events. Apparently, he had done something right, which really did surprise him because this was indeed his very first night out ever and he was hardly aware of how to dress, after all. As for handling alcohol - do pureblood formal gatherings count? If not - Wally going to have to learn to cope with a hangover tomorrow! (And, if it were up to Dorcas, he'd also have to cope with some sexy bloke whose name he would certainly not remember.)
But we're not there yet! As Dorcas walked in and complimented him on his clothes, he couldn't help but laugh a little - both in relief and (dare I say it?) slight pride in himself. "Really? You're not joking?" He was still expecting Dorcas to add something like 'but we'll have to restyle your hair'. Another fun fact: Waldemar had no idea he looked effeminate! Sure, he knew he wasn't as broad-shouldered as some of his recent classmates had been, but when he looked at himself in the mirror, he saw a young man, and not necessarily a young, gay man. Maybe Dorcas shouldn't mention it, either, though, or he'll start feeling self conscious and afraid everyone would notice! It would be no fun scaring him back into his shell just now that he was coming out of there. Because, Dorcas was right, he was. He felt at ease around her and, in fact, even felt more daring, ready to try things that were (for him at least) out of the ordinary.
He raised an eyebrow when Dorcas laughed and said "of course not down my top!" Waldemar rolled his eyes. "We both know you would've, if you could do that and still be comfortable." "It's going up my skirt." Even if she put it into her boot, eventually, Waldemar snorted a little. "You totally would've put it up your skirt if you weren't afraid some guy might notice it there," he teased. In the end, though he was just glad she was taking her wand at all. You could never know what might happen, after all, and even a drunken Dorcas with a wand was better than a sober Dorcas with no wand, maybe..
"Right! Time to hit the town! Right, we both know my address so if one of us is passed out from copious amounts of alcohol, we can still catch the Knight Bus home! Alrighty then! We'll disapperate from the entrance hall I think. Say goodbye to mum and dad." He laughed a little at her excitement, though he couldn't deny that he felt a little nervous tingle in the depths of his stomach. Not that he would ever admit that, of course. Also, he wasn't sure whether to feel reassured or worried by the fact Dorcas knew what to do when drunk. Oh, who was he kidding. No - don't think. They were going to have fun tonight, he was going to have fun tonight. He was almost about to sigh contentedly when they stepped out the door, but then Dorcas apparated so quickly that he hadn't seen it coming. He stumbled a little, but didn't fall over even though the unexpected apparating had left him feeling lightheaded. Maybe wait with the drinking until that had worn off. Nah - he was with Dorcas, he would end up passed out somewhere anyway.
"Ready?" He nodded and followed her inside, a little unsure what to expect, but then found it wasn't all that bad. The pub was larger than he had expected, and there were less old men sitting at the bar smoking cigars and complaining about the youth of today. Maybe he had allowed himself to get carried away by a stereotype, though!
[We'll chat about a Nessa/Dorcy topic sometime! :3 It's more than fine you skipped ahead, yeh - Wally was getting thisty lol xD]

Dorcas looked about and made her way to the bar. This was one of the more popular places for younger people. She wasn't going to take Wally out to some old blokes pub for his first night out. She was wanting to get him all hyper and excited about his first night out. And then eventually she wanted him drunk. Very drunk. So drunk she'd have to carry him home! She was going to have to watch how much she was drinking, so for every two drinks, she was going to have to have a glass of water so she wasn't too wasted to look after him.
"Any idea what you want?" she asked as a bar tender came up and took her order of double scotch and coke. The bartender then looked to Wally for his order and so did Dorcas. "I'd recommend coke and vodka if you don't want anything too strong and overwhelming for your first drink out with me, or if you want to try a beer be my guest!" she said, pulling out her little pouch from her top that contained her muggle money. No use getting mixed up and trying to pay the muggle bar keep with a couple sickles or something like that. She'd probably get a strange look and the two of them kicked out. There was no way she was going to get Wally kicked out of a pub while he was sober. She had to wait until he was more than tipsy, maybe drunk, and then she'd be able to get into a bar fight and give him a proper night out.
Dorcas was not one to shy away from a fight, she was usually a more relaxed and laid back person, but when she'd been drinking and if anyone got under her nerves quite severely, then she'd not hold back a punch or several. When she was drunk it took a bit to get her angry but she had been known to get there and usually because of people with prejudices, usually against blood types when she was in the wizarding world and sexuality or skin colour when in the muggle world. It was a shame that so many people were narrow minded and she knew she shouldn't let it get to her but it did. When she was sober, things would turn into a argument followed by the strong possibility of a punch, when she was drunk she usually couldn't get words out to start an argument so things just turned straight into fighting and that was that. She'd never been in a fight she couldn't handle though.

Was Waldemar's idea of Briths pubs perhaps a little old-fashioned and silly? Probably. Was he glad to be wrong? Very much so! Looking around briefly, he followed Dorcas to the bar, tracing silly patterns around the beer mats with his index finger. So this would be a first time in a lot of things. Not that Waldemar had never had alcohol before, but this was the first time he would be drinking what his mother called 'vulgar drinks' - because at home, of course, all they drank was expensive wine and stuff. This, Waldemar hoped, would be quite different. "Any idea what you want?" Waldemar tried to read the chalkboard behind the bar, but couldn't really figure out any drink that sounded familiar to him. He hadn't the foggiest. The bar tender was looking at him expectedly and Dorcas was giving him some well-meant advice on drinks. Waldemar weighed the options in his mind. Was he going to be sensible, or was he going to show he had balls? "I'll have what she's having," he said to the bar tender with a smile. No, he was not in the mood to be responsible tonight.
He was glad Dorcas had reminded him to get muggle money and although he only knew about it in theory, not practise, Waldemar found the act of paying went rather well. Good. Good start of the evening. This was going to be a good night. Waldemar ought to be glad he couldn't read Dorcy's mind. He had never been in a bar fight, nor would he be able to survive one, I reckon. Well, he might be unexpectedly good at getting out of fighting-people's ways, but it was obvious he was not a fighter. Not physically, anyway. Anyways, at least he was with Dorcas, and she could surely handle a fight.
Now that they'd ordered drinks, Waldemar glanced around a little more at ease as their drinks were poured. It really was a nice pub. He had no idea what song was playing, some muggle band, probably, but it was rather catchy, even if he couldn't really dance - he could always watch other people dance and make arses out of themselves. Oh, who was he kidding. Dorcas would make him dance before the night was over. He nodded at the bar tender as their drinks arrived and sipped his. That wasn't so bad. Sure, stronger than he was used to, but as long as he didn't gulp it down.. "So this is what you do all summer?" he half-teased Dorcas.
[Haha, Nessa will love that P: In fact, by the way, they did keep my cousin on a leash, because he'd walk off without thinking all the time, haha!]

Dorcas kept glancing around the pub. There were no cute guys yet, at least not any that appealed to her tastes. She did catch a glimpse of a girl checking out Wally as they were stood at the bar and she almost snorted. Ah how amused she would be should a young woman approach and start hitting on Wally. The poor lad probably wouldn't know what to do with himself. Or the girl for that matter. But it didn't matter! She would probably let him struggle for a while before she would decide that she would probably help him out a little, after a bit more struggling of course. Though if he managed o get himself out of it, she would be mighty impressed.
Dorcas was surprised to hear Wally would be having the same as her and she turned back to the bar. When their drinks arrived she took a good mouthful of hers and let the diluted burn trickle back her throat. It wasn't the full sensation she had been wanting, but she was taking tonight easy. At least for the most part. She'd ease Wally into the pubbing life style of England and before long she would have him table top dancing and stripping! Well maybe not fully, but it was an amusing image in her mind and nothing she would shy away from. She was quite curious actually as to just how well endowed he was. Strange. She thought thinking about that would make her cringe, Wally was a very dear friend after all, but apparently it didn't effect her at all, but she did find her thoughts strolling across to his brother and his areas.
Dorcas was snapped back as someone knocked into her and apologised. She just rolled her eyes and let out a little sigh. She heard Wally talk to her and she snorted and laughed whilst nodding. "Absolutely! What else would there be? I suppose I get in a little sleeping every now and then, but most of the time it's this, sex or if you include last summer, working at the ministry as a summer job" Dorcas rolled her eyes. "It sucked donkey balls but I got a job there again but for good this time, only in a different department. I hope it's better." She said because she hadn't started yet and it was going to be another week or so until she did. She wasn't entirely sure of the day she was starting, she just trusted that her mother would let her know and wake her up in the morning. As much as Dorcas disliked her mother, she couldn't deny that she was a proper mother to her. Perhaps Dorcas was too harsh on her. Nah, the old with was into pure blood idealisms. That was not something Dorcas ever could agree with.
"Right-o there Wally Monster? How you going with that drink? Not too strong for you, is it?" Dorcas took another good gulp of her drink and half of the glass was empty before she even knew it. "Spot any guys you might like the look of?" She asked, glancing to the girl that had been checking Wally out before. She was gossiping and giggling with her friends and Dorcas wondered that if she went to the toilet, if that girl would approach Wally.

Although Waldemar had given the pub a glance when he'd first walked in, he hadn't looked around in the way Dorcas was doing now - searching for 'victims' so to speak. In all honesty, he hadn't really thought about it, really. Also, tonight was already a night of firsts. It was his first pubcrawl, his first real night out with Dorcas, quite possible his first future-pubfight - he hadn't even thought about first one-night-stands! He half registered that Dorcas snorted about something, but by now he also knew her well enough that half the sound she made was the result of (dirty) thoughts he didn't really want to know and, besides, he was reading the bottles of liquor on display, quite curious about some of them, and determined to try a few. As for a girl flirting with Waldemar, Dorcas was half right. Either he would go as red as a tomato and stammer some half-baked excuses, or (and that's the more fun reaction, really!) he would decline her almost formally, and then grow rude if she didn't leave and tried to get into his pants regardless.
As surprise flashed in Dorcas' eyes for a moment when he ordered the same drink as her, he grinned, a slight sense of pride sparking in his chest. Yes, Dorcas, take that - I might be gay, but I have balls. Well, sort of, anyway, because as Dorcas took a gulp of hers, Waldemar sipped it at first, a little more cautious, with a thoughtful look on his face (which should disappear soon enough if he managed to keep up drinking at Dorcas' usual pace). As to how well-endowed Waldemar is? Well, for now he's still sober enough to hex me into my next life if I tell you, so let's wait a little longer before breaching that subject.
The pub was getting more busy by the minute and Waldemar moved his glass to his lips again, this time drinking more than a sip, though he still wasn't as quick as Dorcas had been. "I suppose I get in a little sleeping every now and then, but most of the time it's this, sex or if you include last summer, working at the ministry as a summer job." Waldemar tried to picture Dorcas working at the ministry - and failed. "It sucked donkey balls but I got a job there again but for good this time, only in a different department. I hope it's better." He pulled a face at the profanity, having a bit of an imagery-sensitive mind, and hid it by finishing his drink. "What department did you get in?" He still didn't have a job, he hadn't quite thought about it yet. Maybe something at the Ministry, too? What was he good at? Maybe something solving puzzles, he liked hat, he wouldn't mind doing that all day.
Finishing his drink so swiftly had maybe not been the best of ideas to start with, but, actually, Waldemar felt relatively fine, so he nodded at Dorcas' question. "It has a bit of an.. aftertaste, but it's good?" he responded, toying with his empty glass a little. "Spot any guys you might like the look of?" It was Wally's turn to snort now. "Hadn't been looking, honestly," he said - and it was no lie. Now that she had mentioned it, though.. Waldemar glanced over his shoulder, following Dorcas' gaze, and then looked back at her with an eyebrow raised. "You do know guys don't generally have cleavage, right?" he teased. "Or did I inspire you to swing to lesbianism?"

This sucked! Not the company, not the atmosphere, not the drink and not the fact that there were no overly cute guys around, what sucked was that she was talking about work and she hadn't even started yet! Still, it was about her and Dorcas did enjoy talking about herself from time to time and Lord knew she loved to be the centre of attention, especially when there were other girls around that were really quite attractive, some more so than her, but Dorcas wasn't going to let that get to her, later on she'd be dancing and rubbing up against some guy and having a great time, though knowing her luck she'd be so drunk she wouldn't realise it was probably Wally-monster. Still, she was going to try and stay sober than that so that Wally could get wasted for a change!
"Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Nothing major, just helping out Alastor Gumboil with officey sorts of stuff but then I think I want to do some training, see if it's the sort of thing I want to do. You know, be a hit witch. I think it would be cool." Dorcas wasn't too careful with what she was saying because really, muggles didn't notice much and if someone overheard their conversation then chances were they probably would think they'd heard wrong and shrug it off. Dorcas knew she probably shouldn't have been so careless about speaking of her new position but she was having too much of a good time to really care, even if she was talking about work.
Dorcas took a good sized mouthful of her drink again and grinned at Wally. "Yeah it's good." She confirmed as Wally had made more of a question than a statement about their drinks, but still, he was doing well with his double scotch and coke and it was all gone before she noticed and he just stood there, messing with his empty glass a little.
Dorcas chuckled softly a little and shook her head. "As tempting as it is, no, but she's been checking you out. Maybe I should just," Dorcas slid away from Wally a fraction "Leave you alone for a while so you can" Dorcas slipped away a little more again but wasn't really gone that far "Have a nice chat with her." Dorcas smirked and quirked her eyebrows up and down suggestively. There was no way Wally would want to be left alone with a girl he didn't know how they worked and Dorcas was a special case because she just so awesome. Well awesome in her own mind, but mainly she got on well with Wally because she was the one that made all the moves and practically forced him to be her friends. They were such a good couple together, it was just a shame he was gay and she was useless at long-term relationships.

Waldemar's inquiring after Dorcas' work had been politeness, mostly. She'd mentioned it and he had always been taught that it was polite to show interest in other people's ongoings, so he had asked. Had he known she didn't want to discuss her job or even think about it, he would never have asked her. "Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Nothing major, just helping out Alastor Gumboil with officey sorts of stuff but then I think I want to do some training, see if it's the sort of thing I want to do. You know, be a hit witch. I think it would be cool." Waldemar didn't really think to be careful, either, though that was probably because he had never been around muggles much to begin with, so he didn't even really realise they were there! "Alastor who?" he asked with a bit of a chuckle. Surely, since he'd come to Great Britain he'd heard a lot of ridiculous nakes, but this one-! This couldn't be real. This had to be some nickname Dorcas had made up for the guy because she couldn't remember his real name! Anyways, that was not the important bit! "I can totally see you being a hit witch. Luring in dark, criminal types with your charms and then striking when they least expect it," he said with a slight grin. "Like a black widow, or something." Did I mention that Waldemar reads too many rubbish books in his spare time when he's not studying? Well, he does. This idea is actually copied from a rather low-quality detective novel.
This drink really wasn't so bad, to be honest, not at all. In fact, it was pretty awesome, not just 'good', and so he ordered two new ones, one for Dorcas and one for himself (though he did need some help with that damned muggle money! good thing he was a foreigner, that gave him an excuse, sort of). "As tempting as it is, no, but she's been checking you out. Maybe I should just ... leave you alone for a while so you can ... have a nice chat with her." Waldemar frowned and then raised both his eyebrows, looking torn between grabbing her and putting her back on her barstool and being stubborn and pretending as though it didn't phase him in the slightst. "Don't be ridiculous," he muttered, eventually settling on pretending he doesn't care, hoping that'll take the fun out of Dorcas' teasing. "Besides, if you do, I'll just pretend I'm Finnish and don't speak English," he added, feeling quite smart for having come up with that. Oh, Wally - don't you realise that girls who go to pubs don't hesitate to move to body language if the verbal variety doesn't work?
