maybe a plot ad? where members can plot specific plots between their characters or explain why they dislike the character, etc. that way when doing plot pages, its alot easier to write the histories because the members have talked about the relationships already and what not. does that make sense? if not, let me know. i'll explain further.

Ooh, and maybe a tread-tracking board where everyone can make a topic with all their RP topics in it so their easy to find?

'nother couple o' ideas!
* You encourage members to keep the boy/girl balance even and I think you succeeded in that, but I also have the feeling this board's swarming with Slytherins, outnumbering the other Houses by far. Maybe it would be nice to balance that a bit, as well? * Is there a board for the Dorms? I was looking for it, but couldn't find it.

No boards for the dorms, can create a sub board for that, good thinking! Boy girl ratio, well, for every three characters you have, one has to be opposite gender to the other two. Also going to be making Quidditch team sign ups and Prefect & Heads lists.

Sorry! I completely forgot to address that issue. Hmm . . . not a lot we can really do about that. I know we could say NO MORE SLYTHERINS! But I for one don't like that, but I'll talk with the others about it if they ratio's don't even up a bit more soon!

Oh, me neither - but you could just put a suggestion in the rules saying 'if you can help it, try to keep membership evenly devided over houses as well' (that was the suckiest English sentence in the world, I just work up, but you get the point

If there are a couple of people in each house, people tend to be less worried about making people in those less popular houses. I've only been on one site where there were a reasonably number of Hufflepuffs (we outnumbered teh Gryffindors at one point! It was fabulous!) and that was mainly because people saw that there were interesting things you could do with charries in that house.
I'm not sure how we can try and balance things out, besides a ban and I think it might be a bit too early for that. Maybe, in addition to the girl boy ratio rule, add a clause about not having all your charries in the same House. It's one of those hard things to avoid, because even though I generally play Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws, I admit playing evil people (generally in Slytherin, people need to mix things up a bit!) is fun!

I'm having a hard time remembering what Year people are in. Perhaps where it says something in the "edit profile" section, there's a spot in the admin section called, "custom title." Perhaps putting their Year in there when they sign up? It's always helped me a lot when I was on other sites.

Hmm . . . . We use the Custom titles bit so people could have custom titles above their avvie, but I suppose I might be able to work something else out because I'm so awesome!

well if you want to keep the custom titles like that, you can also just make member groups for specific years? like a membergroup that is 'fifth year slytherin' and another that is 'sixth year slytherin' and another that is 'seventh year slytherin?' and all the slytherin ones would be the same color and stuff so it wouldn't seem different? that's the way i've seen it done on most sites. or you could just put it in the custom title and then do the double thing so the year is on top of the custom title that people choose o.o
