Be who they want to see:
Alice is quite an ordinary looking person which is something she has lived with all her life. She doesn’t have a stunning body, or lushes silky hair, or long dark eyelashes. But she has a sparkle in her hazel eyes which brings people towards her. Her hair is a medium length and a mousy brown colour. Alice usually pulls it up into a neat ponytail or plait, for it becomes messy and knotted when left out. Her gentle face is heart shaped. Her doe shaped eyes are hazel and her pink lips are plump. Whenever she smiles or laughs, two dimples appear on her cheeks and it lights up her face. She is 5 foot and 3 inches tall and weighs 128 pounds. Her body is slightly curvy but is not as mature as most girls’ her age. As she has a small appetite and for some strange reason does not like over sugary food her weight generally stays in control and doesn’t change. Alice is not gifted with legs or arms which go on forever, but they are strong and muscular. Her skin is not fair or tanned but a pleasant mix between the two. Her fingers are long and slender on her hands, and perfect for playing the piano. The clothes that she wears are generally fairly conservative and not out there. Green is her favourite colour and you will often see her wearing it, as it accentuates the green specks in her eyes.
But that leaves no one:
To discover that inside:
Alice is very courageous, brave and kind hearted. She has big dreams for the future, and is determined to get them. Often, she can come across quite shy and reclusive, but she really loves her friends and family and is stubborn and friendly when you get to know her. Once you are her friend, she is extremely loyal and trusting. Alice will often go out of her way to get what she wants and needs, but it’s never for selfish purposes. Sometimes she gives in too easily and lets people walk over her, but when she feels strongly about something she makes sure it is known and she doesn’t back down. Alice is very intelligent, but she is also modest and often doubts herself. She could succeed at so many things, but often looses opportunities because she is scared that she is not good enough. Her low self esteem is due to the fact that she was bullied when she was younger. Although this has lowered her esteem, it has also taught her to stand up for her rights and the rights of others. She does not always put this lesson into action but it comes out at the most important of times. Alice is a very good friend and confident. She is extremely good at keeping secrets, and you can tell her anything. She is kind and supportive, but often she is shy and quiet. Some people think she is strange because she hardly talks. This isn’t because she doesn’t want to open up to people, but she fears being judged and talked about.
This soulless being:
+ Wizards Chess
+ Music
+ Playing the piano
+ Duelling
+ Reading
Is just as lost:
- Butterbeer
- Lollies
- Bullies
- Physical violence
- Backstabbers
As everyone else:
+ Loyal
+ Intelligent
+ Fast thinking
+ Kind
+ Charms
In a world that knows only hate:
- Trusting
- Self conscious
- Clumsy
- Boys (she becomes twice as shy as usual around them)
- Potions
And causes pain for the soulless like me:
Alice often doubts herself so much that she wonders if anybody would notice or care if she died.
Once graduating Hogwarts she wants to become an Auror, although she has not told anybody this as she suspects she won’t get the marks
They left me to die:
Grandmother: Aurelia Grant Grandfather: Campbell Grant
On a bed of roses:
Grandmother: Katherine Logan Grandfather: Jeremiah Logan
Blood seeping through:
Merope had an affair with a werewolf and Rupert found out. They try to keep their marriage together for Alice and Saige, and they maintain the facade of two happily in love people. But underneath, they are extremely close to breaking point.
The satin sheets of fame:
Well off
What a bitter story of love:
Alice Lucille Logan was born into a happy family on a warm Sunday morning. Her childhood was as normal as a young witch’s can be, with the biggest event being when her younger sister was born. Her days were filled with books, reading and music. She would often invent games to play with her younger sister, Saige, and put her great imagination to use. Alice was always a goody two shoes, never wanting to upset her parents or do the wrong thing. Ever since she was young she had a way of always knowing when something she did was wrong or right, and whether somebody was happy, sad, upset or angry. Saige and Alice got on together very well as young children and were close. But a sort of sibling rivalry started when Alice was nine. Her parents were starting to get worried, as she had not yet shown any signs of magic. One night, Alice was awoken by a bang coming from Saige’s room. She went to check what it was, and found that Saige had fallen out of her bed. But Saige was floating about two inches above the ground, and had prevented any harm to come upon her. From then on Alice and Saige started competing for their parent’s approval and to outdo one another. After finally showing signs of magic, Alice received her letter from Hogwarts.
In her first year at Hogwarts, Alice had trouble finding where she fit in. Most people thought she was strange, as she usually kept to herself because of her shyness. Then the bullying began. It started with a group of Slytherin girls making fun of her and calling her fat. Then it started getting physical, as the group of girls began to use her as a test subject for their new hexes. At the end of the year, Alice miserably returned home and complained to her parents that she didn’t want to go back to Hogwarts. But her parents sent her back, and the bullying continued. The girls wouldn’t leave her alone. It got to a point about halfway through the year that Alice ended up with bruises all over her body. Another group of Gryffindor girls her age asked if she was okay, and Alice told them the truth. The Gryffindor’s adopted her into the group, and then encouraged her to stand up to the Slytherin’s. After help from her friends, she stopped the bullying and started to enjoy Hogwarts more.
By her third year, Alice had gained a little more confidence and was having the time of her life with her new friends. She started excelling in Charms, DADA and duelling. From there on in, Alice’s life at Hogwarts and home was pretty uneventful, exactly the way Alice liked it. She now aims to do well in her N.E.W.T.S and hopefully become and Auror.
Alice strolled down the streets of Hogsmead, looking for something to do. Her friends had all somehow managed to get themselves a detention for the Hogsmead weekend, leaving Alice to wander the streets alone. Her friends had promised to help her pick out a dress to wear to the upcoming ball. At first Alice thought that she may as well go buy a dress herself, but then she remembered how her friends were always telling her what bad taste in clothes she had. Alice walked past Honeydukes to find that it was full of Hogwarts students, mostly ones from third and fourth year. As Alice disliked sweets, and absolutely loathed crowds she decided she’d skip Honeydukes. She knew that some band was performing at the Three Broomsticks, so she suspected that it would be crowded there as well.
After Alice had walked a bit further and escaped the babbling streets, she began to hear somebody playing a song on an instrument. The song was beautiful and Alice was determined to find the source. She started following the sound. This led her down three back alleys and four corners. Alice was beginning to get worried. She expected she was lost, so she started raking her memory to try and find a way to get back. She had been worrying so much that she didn’t notice how loud the enchanting sound of the instrument was. As she continued to stare worriedly around the alley she was in, the playing stopped and a wizard called down to her from his balcony.
