Veronica grinned as he called her useless, she was hoping that she had somehow gotten to him, maybe annoyed him a bit. “I won’t be late.” she vowed, this project did mean something to her believe it or not, and she would not by any means fail it.
As he was telling her what to do, Veronica couldn’t help but to feel like she were a child being scolded. He made her feel stupid and foolish, and she hated feeling like that. “Yes, oh wise one I will have the list ready for you. However, I must say that I happen to like my personality and will not in anyway be working on it, sorry if that disappoints you.” Her tone implied that she was anything but sorry. As Pete saluted her, which she scowled at, she gave him a mock bow and plopped down on the couch once he passed her and made his way up the stairs.
Veronica opened her book and flipped to the page where the supplies were listed. She grabbed her parchment, ink and quill and before long she had finished the list. Making sure that her handwriting was neat and readable, and that she hadn’t left out any of the things they would need, she stood. Veronica stretched before going over to where the clock was. She took out her wand and quietly muttered a spell; the piece of paper went blank so nobody but Walker could read it. She folded the piece of parchment in half and placed it under the clock.
Collecting all her materials together Veronica, walked up to the girl’s dorms, watching her step as she went, not wanting a repeat of earlier’s accident. Once she was there she placed everything on the stand by her bed and sat down on her comfy bed. Letting out a peaceful sigh she placed her head on her pillows. Her thoughts drifted off to her day, from the beginning, until now. But she let her thoughts linger a bit on Pete Walker. He was a git, but he was a cute git, as much as she hated to admit. And, she couldn’t place it but there had been a small something she kinda liked about him.
