Be who they want to see:
Mai is a wholesomely pretty girl, she doesn't wear much make up and has a very fair complexion, her eyes are naturally soft and she had quite long eye lashes. Her lips are full and pouty and she has very high cheek bones.
She is quite small and thin but her legs are quite long and she has a flat stomach. Her hair is a very mild brown which gets darker in the winter and lighter in the summer, it falls to just past her shoulders and is very curly.
Although she is thin, she wears clothes that emphasize what curves she has and give her the look of a killer physique. As she loves sports she is very toned and has a flat stomach even though she tends to eat a lot of junk food.
She is not an metamorphagus but her mother was and she has inherited a sliver of her ability, simply through that her eyes change colour depending on her mood. This can also affect her hair colour as she is in a better mood when there is good weather and her hair colour gets lighter sometimes such a light brown that it's almost blonde, during the Winter months it tends to get much darker and borders on Black.
She has two tattoos, one on her left hip, of a star, and on her right shoulder, two butterflies. She has her ears pierced and a stud in her top of her right ear, she also has a belly button piercing
But that leaves no one:
To discover that inside:
Mai is a sweet person, she loves having fun and one of her favorite sources of fun is pulling pranks, though she never intentionally hurts someone she has a habit of accidentally taking things to far. She hates being lied to and being treated like a child.
She tries to be nice to everyone but if you get on her nerves she can be vicious. If she doesn't like someone she lets them know. She is open and honest, though some people don't like it when she gives her opinion as she never sugarcoats it and is very blunt and to the point. She is also one hundred percent quidditch mad but missed the trials as she was in detention for hexing a Slytherin who called her trash.
Mai makes everyone around her think that she's confident and fearless, when really she hides behind that, she's stubborn, when she thinks she's right she won't let anything change her mind, not even proof that she's wrong.
She never lets anyone see her weaknesses though she has no problem pointing out other peoples, when she gets scared or angry, she normally recacts with violence whether it's using magic or her fist. She doesn't trust people very easily as the only serious relationship she's ever had was with someone who cheated on her.

Fairly Well off
What a bitter story of love: Mai was born in Galway, Ireland. Her father abandoned them when Mai was born, leaving her mother Mona for a woman he had met in a bar. Christian, who had been one of Monas best friends as a child, was there for her and helped her out with four year old Lucas and baby Maia, eventually they got married and moved to London as Christian had been offered a job working as a chef in a five star resteraunt. When Lucas was eleven he began attending Hogwarts and Mai followed suit four years later.
When she was twelve, during Christmas break, Mai, Mona and Christian went for a walk in London. Lucas was sick with the flu so he had stayed home. As they were walking they were attacked by two dark wizards who considered them blood traitors.
They killed Christian first, as he was the easiest, being a muggle, then they bgan to torture Mona, using the crucio curse as well as any others they could think of, once Mona was on the brink of death, they forced her to watch as they used the crucio on Mai, then killed Mona, and just as they were about to kill Mai, were caught by an auror who had been in the area and had heard screams, the Auror stunned the two dark wizards, and called for help. Mai was treated for her injuries and she was sent to live with her grandparents in Dublin. As there were no wizarding schools in Ireland, Mai and Lucas continued attending Hogwarts, though while Lucas moved on from what had happened, Mai withdrew from everyone.
Neither of them ever told anyone about what had happened and Mai cut off most of the friends that she had, becoming withdrawn, in fourth year, she began making friends again though she never told anyone about what happened, every year on her birthday, her brother Lucas sends her a howler as a birthday card to embarass her as they have a kind of Love/Hate relationship and pulled pranks on each other whenever possible. During the years after her parents death, Mai began to develop feelings for a certain Gryffindor boy, Sirius Black and eventually found herself completely infatuated with him, though he didn't know she existed and she would never tell him how she felt.
Maia-Lynn Hart was not in a good mood, in fact she was in a foul mood, the same foul mood she got into on this day every year. And that day was February 14th, her birthday. Now unlike most people, Mai did not look forward to her birthday, in fact she dreaded it. One of the reasons was what had happened to her that morning at breakfast, she had recieved a howler from her brother which had announced her birthday (Something she never told anyone about) and then said that Lucas hoped that everyone she knew came up to her and gave her a big birth day hug and invade her personal space as much as possible.
Along with the howler her brother had sent her a silver locket (which she was now wearing) and a small bottle of fire whiskey (which she had downed with out hesitation). Other birth day presents she had recieved were an enchanted mirror from her grand mother that gave her opinions on her outfit, an emerald green scarf from one of her aunts, a charm bracelet from her muggle friend Diana and a picture of Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz that sang over the Rainbow if you tapped it with a wand from her cousin Chrissie. Although Mai appreciated all of these gifts, all it did was remind her of the gift she would never get, the one from her parents.
So she had gone for a walk around the grounds, wearing the scarf that her mirror had told her really brought out her eyes. As she walked Mai couldn't help but let her mind once again wander to a certain Sirius Black. She wondered if he had been there when she got the howler and if he had laughed. Mai blushed at the thought, God that had been embarassing. She was going to KILL Lucas! And that firewhiskey had tasted funny, she had also felt a little strange ever since she had drank it. Suddenly, Mai's foot caught on a root and she fell forwards rolling down the small hill and stopping just short of the Black Lake. She screamed as she fell, twigs catching in her hair and dirt smudging across her face. Dear Lord, she hoped no one had seen.
