Be who they want to see:
If it wasn't for his hair, Regulus' looks would have nothing in common with his brother's. His hair isn't exactly long, but it's not short either. He likes to keep it somewhere in the middle. Its natural colour is dark brown, and that's the way it's been his entire life. He doesn't really care about what it looks like, so it is pretty messy most of the time. Except for when he's home with his parents, then he combs it an makes it look nice. He's got a square face, a not so wide mouth with full lips and average sized nose, though it's kind of pointy and round at the same time. His eyes are light green, almost sort of yellow-ish on some days. They often have dark circles just below them, since Regulus hardly ever gets enough sleep.
He doesn't show emotions very well, because he thinks of it as a weakness. It doesn't matter whether it's happiness, anger or sadness, his face will stay the same most of the time. However, it's pretty easy to tell when he gets scared; his eyes will give him away.
Regulus spends most of his time inside, so he always looks pretty pale. Height-wise he's average, but he's always been rather skinny and not very muscular.
But that leaves no one:
To discover that inside:
Regulus is not a very happy person. He is quiet and antisocial. He doesn't have very many friends, and will, on some days, go 24 hours without talking to anyone at all. He likes spending time where there aren't very many people, because if no one is there to see him all by himself, they should have no reason to think of him as a loner.
As mentioned above, he doesn't like to show emotions. He always tries to keep his problems to himself, though he does confide in Kreacher a lot. He is very proud, and his family means a lot to him.
Regulus cares about what people think of him. Well, people, whose blood is pure and aren't Gryffindors or Hufflepuffs. He doesn't want anyone to think badly of him, so whenever he's upset someone or done something stupid in front of them, he's pretty quick to try and fix it. Usually he tries to come up with some explanation; he only apologizes if he's tried everything else.
Most of the time, when something serious is going on, he prefers to stand in the back and let other people take care of it. Regulus is not a coward, but he knows how to take care of himself, so he stays out of dangerous situations unless there is someone he can count on nearby or backing him up.

And causes pain for the soulless like me:
Regulus likes being the center of attention (when it's for a good reason), but he doesn't want people to know it because it's kind of hypocritical, since he hates people, who want attention.
He has tried smoking a few times now, but doesn't want his parents to find out.
They left me to die:
All Blacks
On a bed of roses:
All Blacks
Blood seeping through:
All the people, who have been burned off the family tree.

What a bitter story of love:
Regulus was born in the fall of '61. His parents were very pleased that they had been given another son, another boy to carry on their name. He was pretty much adored from the start. Orion and Walburga loved their newborn child, and were convinced from the very beginning that he was going to become something great.
Whenever Regulus thinks about his childhood, he thinks of it as a good one. Even though his parents insisted on their children pretty much taking care of themselves, he still always felt loved and appreciated. When Regulus learned how to walk he imitated everything his brother did, which meant that, a lot of times, he ended up doing some things they were not allowed to do. However, he was never the one, who was yelled at for this. No, Sirius was the one, who got in trouble for this.
So Orion and Walburga saw Sirus as a bad influence to his younger sibling, so they were not upset at all once the two brothers started spending less time together as they got older. At first, Regulus was upset about this, but he learned to deal with it and ignore it, because it was what his parents and Sirius wanted. Regulus always respected his parents' rules and beliefs. He almost always agreed with them, and on the few occasions that he didn't, he made sure to keep his mouth shut about it, which is the opposite of what Sirius would do.
Regulus showed signs of having magical abilities pretty early on, so no one was surprised when his letter from Hogwarts arrived. His parents were certain their little boy was going to make them proud, show everyone that he was a true Black. Regulus already knew, which house he was going to be sorted into; he had decorated his walls with green and silver banners long before his Hogwarts letter even arrived.
He was not used to being around so many people of his own age, since his brother and cousins were all older than him. However, the other Slytherins were pretty quick to accept and include him; he fit right in with them. But even though he was liked by almost everyone in his house, Regulus preferred being by himself most of the time, and he is still like that. He would spend most of his time with the people a few years older than him, though, as they wanted to be absolutely sure he was heading in the 'right' direction, and so that there was no way he would end up like his brother.
It was Sunday afternoon and it was raining quite heavily. Regulus was walking up the stone steps that led to the Owlery. He wasn't in a hurry. All his homework for Monday was already done, and what else was there to do on a Sunday? All the older students were trying to sleep off their hangover, and the younger ones were, well, who cared about the younger ones? Regulus already hated being a fourth year. Being a fourth year only meant that you were one year away from being considered an 'older student'. Just one year away from respect.
Besides, hurrying while walking up those stone steps was never a good idea. He had slipped several times through the years, and it had hurt just as badly every time. The rain didn't really bother him anymore, because his clothes had gotten completely soaked on the way there, although it did make his robes feel very heavy. His shoes were muddy from walking on the grass a bit earlier, so he was being extra careful with the steps. He didn't really have reason to go to the Owlery; there wasn't even have a letter to send. He just wanted some company.
The inside of the Owlery was particularly full that day, just as he had expected. The owls usually stayed in when it was raining that badly. Now that the rain wasn't hitting him anymore he realized just how wet he was. He was shivering. This had not been a good idea. Next time he would definitely check what the weather was like outside before he went to visit Nicodemus. Nicodemus was his owl. He had been a gift from his parents when was eleven and had just received his letter from Hogwarts. Regulus liked visiting him, especially when he was feeling lonely.
Regulus knew exactly what his owl looked like, but he was always difficult to find when the Owlery was this full. But he had only been looking for him for a few seconds, before Nicodemus came flying towards him, landing on the arm Regulus was holding out for him. Smiling, Regulus stroked the owl's back. "I knew you would be happy to see me." Regulus mumbled. They stood like that for a few minutes, before Regulus suddenly heard footsteps. Someone was walking up the stairs.
He quickly spun around, almost losing control of his balance as he did, but managed to regain it, fortunately. He was not used to being disturbed while being up there. Now he would look weird to whoever was on their way, since he didn't even have a letter to send, and that he had been stupid enough to not bring an umbrella or something. Regulus wished he knew how to conjure things, so that he could get an envelope in his hand or something. Or if he could at least use his wand to dry his clothes, but he didn't know how.
The footsteps were getting louder, but Regulus suddenly realized how stupid it was to be so worried about not having a letter to send; he could always just pretend that he had already sent it. He began running towards the window to send Nicodemus away, and as he did so he forgot how wet and muddy his shoes were and how slippery this floor always was, so he slipped and fell on his back, yelling out loud out of surprise and hitting the ground hard. Nicodemus had been smart enough to fly up as this was happening, and then sat down on Regulus' chest, hooting loudly. Regulus heard as the person entered the Owlery, so he closed his eyes and hoped for the best.
