Outfit: clickWord Count: 493 Tagged: Sirius Lena groaned as she finally got to the Fat Lady, who was trying to sing again. The portrait really had no talent and it hurt when she tried. Lena tried to say the password but the Fat Lady refused to let her through until she was done singing. Lena rolled her eyes and said the password before going inside to the common room, ears ringing. How had it been her luck she was the one caught by their door singing? Why not some little first year? She was exhausted from carrying her huge amounts of books and things all day and from running up and down the stairs. She’d walked town all the stairs earlier and had to turn around and run back up, then back down, because she’d forgotten one of her papers that was due today. Thank goodness she’d made it to the class in time and had been able to turn it in. But it still left her tired and then the rest of her busy classes hadn’t helped. She just looked forward to getting her new homework assignments done and out of the way, then go up to her bed and pass out. Who cared if she skipped dinner? Sleep looked way more appealing than eating something at that moment.
She moved to an empty table, most of the students still gone for a little bit longer, and started tugging books, parchment, quills, and ink out of her bag. All of the books were flipped to the subject of the homework and she pulled the closest one to her, Charms, and started writing. The students were either finally finishing up classes, going to dinner, or even outside practicing Quidditch. There was no telling. Lena started to fade out everything but her homework so she could get it done, the quill in her hand flicking across the parchment quickly and deftly. As her head bent lower over the paper, her hair slid down and into her face. She let out a puff of air to make it go away but when that didn’t work she grabbed an extra quill that did not have ink on it, and twisted her hair up with it. So what if she now had a feather randomly sticking out of her hair? It worked for her.
Once Charms was done she scooted the book away along with the parchment that went with it, and slid the next book closer to start working on it. She felt her head dropping even more from tiredness and knew she needed a boost so reached down, not looking away from her homework, and grabbed one of her emergency sugar quills. Hopefully the sugar in it would keep her awake. She started eating it while working, once again completely concentrated, not even noticing the people starting to come into the common room. They weren’t as important to her as finishing her homework, and then getting blessed sleep, at that time.

Sirius made his way through the corridors, slipping through the crowds and occasionally grinning at a girl. He had to be swift, for he had just set off a Dungbomb in the Great Hall where Snivelly had been seated. He had timed it perfectly so that he would be long gone by the time it had gone off. In the distance, he heard the echo of people coughing and cursing, and knew that he had he had performed his task well. He always already up the Entrance Hall staircase, and out of sight. It helped that he ducked down, as well.
When he was a few more floors up, he stood back up again, straightened out his uniforms, and continued at a brisk pace. Sirius no longer looked rushed, and instead looked like he was heading somewhere with a purpose. Most people got out of his way without question. He may not have been a seventh year, or even a sixth year, but there was a few things that worked in his favour: One, Sirius was a Black. Although he hated that it got him respect for he hated owning such a name, it was something he couldn't control. Two, he was good looking. That always helped, no matter what situation you were in, and three, everyone saw the terrible ways he treated those whom he didn't like, and no one wanted to be on the bad side of the Marauders, especially Sirius with his renowned temper.
Sirius got to the portrait of the Fat Lady to discover she was singing yet again. There were a few first years who she was ignoring, so Sirius pushed past them in order to get access to her. She opened one eye to look down at the new arrival.
"Wollyburg," Sirius said, simply.
She ignored him as well, as she continued to sing. Sirius sighed, a bit impatiently, but his lips were still upturned into a grin. He began clapping for her, which only lead to her singing louder. Finally, she decided to turn her attention back to the students standing in front of her. "You really like it?"
"Love it," he replied, simply. "Wonderful talent. Horribly underrated. Wollyburg."
"Well, alright then," the Fat Lady replied, swinging forward to allow them access.
Sirius said it as if it were rehearsed, but by now, it practically was. He used the same lines every time she decided to do this, and she always became so flattered that she would let him through. The first years tried to climb through first, but Sirius grabbed them by the shoulders and pulled them back.
"Seniority," he replied with a wink. He climbed through first into the round Gryffindor common room. His grey eyes scanned the room, and it didn't take him long to find the prettiest girl there, in his opinion. Lena Becket was hunched over her homework, and he pranced over to her casually and enthusiastically. He stood behind her, and placed his head close to hers.
"Do you always keep..." he began, as he pulled out the quill from her hair. "Writing untensils in your hair?"
Sirius then pulled away from her and took a few steps back before she could even try to grab it back. He grinned back at her and continued with, "You know how I don't like things distracting from your.. natural beauty."
Sirius twirled the feather quill between his fingers, watching it as he did so. He then glanced back at Lena, raising his eyebrow in a challenging sort of way. Word count: 600

Outfit: clickWord Count: 568 Tagged: Sirius No doubt about it, Ancient Runes had to be the hardest class she was taking for the year. It wasn’t just another language you had to learn. It was symbols and shapes. Most of which looked almost exactly alike. Lena puffed a piece of her bangs that had slid from the quill away from her face but she didn’t pay much more attention to it than that. She was way too busy. There was a small group of just rune books around her, just so she could finish this paper. The teacher had assigned that they must tell a story, a mythological story, in just runes. It could have been any story but Lena had decided she was in a romantic story mood. Weird but it was true. She was currently sketching out the story of Cinderella in runes. She was trying to anyway. She had to switch between the books to find the correct symbol for a certain word of phrase. Lena was going to end up pulling her hair out soon if she couldn’t get it done. It was driving her insane. That taught her a lesson. Next time she’d bloody chose the shortest story.
Lena was so lost in her work, furiously writing and flipping through pages in books at the same time that she didn’t notice Sirius coming into the Commons. If she had, she would probably have shrunk back and tried to hide from him while she finished. She didn’t mind the other 5th year but he would never leave her alone while she worked. Was hugely annoying. She was finishing a particularly difficult line of runes when she suddenly felt the quill holding her hair up, slide out as she heard Sirius’ voice in her ear. Lena immediately dropped the quill she had been writing with and spun around, trying to snatch for the one in his hand. “Sirius, give it back. Besides. I didn’t have anything else to hold my hair up…It was working.” She rolled her eyes at his empty flattery. He was such a charmer, she never took him serious. Usually she found him amusing but today had just been way too long and she wanted to finish up so she could go to bed.
She almost growled at him as he teased her and the look in his eyes challenged her. He might be taller than her by about a foot, but she would get that quill back. “There is no beauty for the quill to distract from anyway. Why must you always bug me while I'm working? You’re like a dog with a bone. And no, that was not a compliment. Now, give me the quill and no one gets hurt.” Lena stood up from her chair and took a step toward him; hand out to wait for him to set the writing utensil in her palm. Her tie was undone and laid around her neck, her shirt was un-tucked, and her hair now flowed over her shoulders and down her back, thanks to him. She had started getting comfortable while working, having known she would be there for a while. And now Sirius was distracting her from her homework. It would not be done.

When Lena stood up, it just caused him to become even more amused and hyper. Only one thing was the result of someone standing up: they were going to fight back. Ah, Lena. How he found her so, endearing. He just loved to taunt her, and to try to compliment her as much as possible. It was just so fun. He knew he would never get with her, but he liked to try regardless. The resistance was probably the best thing about her. She was practically the only girl who wasn't a Slytherin who jumped into his bed at first chance. How would a guy with his reputation not be intrigued by this?
"Besides. I didn’t have anything else to hold my hair up…"
Sirius mock-frowned at her. He leaned forward and touched her hair, but only briefly, so that she couldn't make a grab at him or anything. Last thing he wanted was a red hand print across his cheek. He had enough of those in the five years he had been attending Hogwarts. He let her dark hair slip through his fingers and said, "Why would you want to tie back that gorgeous hair of yours? Your hair is the only hair that can compare to mine in being luscious."
Sirius flicked his thick hair dramatically. He imagined that if his hair was longer, it would probably resemble the girl's in front of him, although his would probably be darker, despite her Oriental descent. He had never met any Asian with hair that was lighter than his, but it just added to her beauty. It was different, and different was good.
Sirius raised an eyebrow sketically. "No beauty to distract from? You're kidding me! You've probably got more than all of the Slytherin's combined. Although thinking about that, it's not really a hard feat." He glanced around the room quickly, and then whispered loudly enough for her to hear, "But you're also the hottest girl in the room."
Sirius chuckled as Lena held her hand out expectantly. Who did she think that he was? Remus? Remus wouldn't even have taken it from her in the first place, and if he had, it would only be because it was dangerous or something. Sometimes he wondered if his mate even knew how to joke around with girls. He hoped so, for the sake of his and Annelise's potential relationship, providing it went there, or that she had any sort of sense of humour. Then again, he had never even seen them together properly.
Instead of giving Lena her quill back, he leaned forward, grabbed her wrist and spun her around ballerina style so that his back was now to the majority of the room. It gave him more running space. As he spun her, he grabbed her wand off her so she couldn't use magic. What fun was playing when people played cheap with magic? He tossed his and her wands into the corner of the common room and had an extremely playful look in his eye.
"Come and get it," he said, grinning, hoping that she could at least give in to a little play. Word Count: 550

Outfit: clickWord Count: 684 Tagged: Sirius Lena knew if was a very bad Idea to even think about talking to him when he was in this kind of mood. She bet he had just set off a prank or something and, now that he seemed to have gotten away with it, he was hyper. And she was his play toy. She sighed and rolled her eyes, her free hand, not held out before her, moved to sit on her curvy hips as she watched him. He could be quite dangerous in this mood if he wanted to be. But she was ignoring all warning signs. She wanted that quill back so she could go back to work. And to get it back, she had to play along and go with his challenge. When Lena noticed his excited smile drop into a frowning face she raised an eyebrow at him, wondering what on earth could be wrong now. When his hand slid through her hair, faster than her movement to smack his hand away, her eyes dropped into a ‘are you kidding me?’ look.
Only Sirius Black would compliment her, empty as it was, then tell her that he is perfect in some way. He really had a huge ego. The corner of her lips tried to twitch in a smile. “Right. Like I said, I was working. And my hair was getting in the way. One of these day’s I’ll end up cutting it short...” Her last sentence was mumbled, more to herself than to him. It really would make things easier if her hair was a bit shorter. But she did like her long hair. It’s the only reason it wasn’t all cut off by now. When he flicked his hair back, much like that of a girl trying to flirt with a boy she likes, she started snickering. Sirius was too much sometimes. “I don’t think hair can be described as ‘luscious’, honestly. Just doesn’t sound right. Sweets can be luscious but not hair.”
“You're kidding me! You've probably got more than all of the Slytherin's combined. Although thinking about that, it's not really a hard feat.” Lena snorted. She wasn’t a fan of the Slytherin’s and a bit hostile to them anyway. So being compared to them was not the best compliment. “Should I be flattered that you think I look better than all those worthless snakes? Really, Sirius? You can do better than that.” Her hand was back on her hip as she watched him, having to tilt her head back to look into his face. Lena normally didn’t mind her 5’2” height but sometimes it really worked against her favor. ”But you’re also the hottest girl in the room.” Lena had to smirk at that one. Ah she loved to poke fun at him and his attempts to compliment her. “Sirius, if you really thought that, why did you lower your voice? Were you afraid of the other girls hearing it? The ones you’ve told the same thing to before?"
Her hand was still held out, waiting for him to hand over the quill. She honestly didn’t expect him to suddenly grab her hand and spin her around, almost making her trip over her shoes as he was at it. Lena hadn’t felt him grabbing her wand out of her pocket but she did notice him tossing it into the other corner of the room, making her gasp. “Sirius!” she gasped slightly, not too happy that he’d taken her wand away. Lena turned back to him at his challenge and a calculating look came into her eyes. She stood still, trying to make it look like she wasn’t going to do anything. But then suddenly she lunged toward him, to catch him unawares, and get back her quill. Her hand snatched toward the writing utensil in his hand as she moved.

Sirius had seen Lena put her hand on her hip before he 'attacked' her, and that made him want to bother her more. The way her hip curved, it was almost like it was meant to be a resting spot for her hand. It was one of the things that made Sirius so hormonal about her: her curves. He knew she was technically a year older than everyone else, but typically by sixteen, although girls would have curves, they would never seem so, well, womanly. She looked more like an adult than probably the seventh years at Hogwarts. It drove Sirius mad, especially because he really did have a thing for 'older' girls, although technically they were only a year apart.
"You can do better than that."
Sirius grinned widely. "You think I could do better than that? Maybe if I always had you around me, maybe on my arm, than I could have the inpiration for better and wittier comments." He knew it wouldn't get him anywhere, but he thought he'd try anyways. Lena brought him down again, however, when he told her that she was the best looking girl in the room. She really did have all the answers, didn't she? Sirius was in too much of a good mood to let it drag him down too much. Besides, a girl with proper comebacks was rare to come by, as sexist as it seemed. "Fine," he said, simply, stepping back a bit, holding his arms out wide. He cleared his throat and put on an extremely posh and deep voice, but a loud one at that. "I do declare that this woman before me, Lena Becket, is the finest in the lands. She has a body that outstrips any super model than may hang on the walls of my room back at home, and the eyes of a sex kitten that could lure even the strongest willed man into her bed."
A few giggled ensued from other Gryffindors, but that only egged on Sirius more. He had a habit of allowing encouragement from others get to his head. It was probably why he had such a naturally loud voice anyways for it grabbed attention. It caused people to pay attention, and he could gauge everyone's reactions so he could better think of what he could say. He was still funny when hardly anyone was around, but the lack of encouagement allowed him to occasionally become his tempermental self, especially if they were around the likes of Severus Snape.
Lena yelled at him as he threw their wands into the corner.
"Ooh, I love when you shout my name," he said, looking like he was really enjoying it.
Lena unexpectantly lunged at him, causing Sirius' eyes to go wide momentarily, and for him to step back. She grabbed at the quill, and her fingertips did manage to touch the bottom before he stuck his hand high into the air and out of her reach. She wasn't very tall, and Sirius was decently tall himself, so it made for an unfair advantage on his behalf. He looked down at the girl in front of him and chuckled. "Is someone not tall enough yet for the big kid ride?"
Sirius was perhaps enjoying their game too much. He hadn't expected her to lunge at him, so he was beyond curious to what she'd do next. He didn't make any move that was too rash, in fear of doing something in the wrong that would either get his ass kicked by her, or by all of her girl friends. It had happened before. Damn him and his good morals for not physically attacking girls. Word Count: 630

Outfit: clickWord Count: 569 Tagged: Sirius Lena raised an eyebrow at his comment on her always being around him, hanging off of his arm and things. Everyone knew he was a womanizer. Even if she did want him and gave in, he’d only be interested for about a week, if not less. His attention span with women was not that long. “I believe you can get inspiration by long distance because I’ll never be on your arm. I’m not a brainless piece of eye candy.” She smirked slightly, trying to get a rise out of him. “Isn’t that your job anyway? The piece of eye candy bit I mean. Besides, dealing with you for long amounts of time would be detrimental to my future. I’d never get anything done. Or one of your little fan girls would try and kill me for being with you on your arm.” She rolled her eyes, her hand still firmly on her hip, the smile still tugging at the corners of her full pink lips.
She had been poking fun at him for whispering his declaration that she was hot but she had never imagined that, when he got back at her, he would yell out getting everyone’s attention. All eyes were suddenly on them making Lena blush slightly. She might not mind answering questions in class but otherwise she didn’t like being the center of attention. She reached over and smacked him on the arm slightly for calling her honey chocolate brown eyes sex kitten eyes. She kept her voice low so he heard her but no one else did. “I don’t lure anyone into my bed. That’s what you do. If anyone was allowed into my bed, they do it willingly on their own will. And super models are not short and curvy. They’re tall and thin. I really don’t see where you’re coming from.” She still felt the stares on them and heard the laughter of the viewers, her cheeks turning slightly pinkish on her naturally tanned skin.
Lena gasped out loud again when he claimed he loved when she yelled his name. She was so surprised at his words she ended up doing it again, unable to help herself. “Sirius!”
Lena had lunged at him, glad she caught him by surprise, and felt the quills tip in her hand before he suddenly seemed to catch himself and lifted it high up out of her reach. Stupid bloody tall people. Lena’s bottom lip dropped out into an annoyed pout as her hands landed on her hips, glaring up at him. “That is completely unfair, Sirius and you know it.” His comment on her being too short to do it made her eyes shift slightly in annoyance as she tried to figure out what to do. She wouldn’t give up that easily and she grabbed the front of his shirt, pulling herself close to him and tried to tug his arm down to her level. She was almost at crawling up him to reach it except her feet hadn’t left the ground. She did do a few tiny jumps though, making her breasts press against his chest without her paying attention, all of her focused on the quill in his hand.

The concept of some girl hanging off of his arm didn't truly phase Sirius. It seemed dull, and actually seemed more like something James would do in order to make Lily jealous. Or, more likely, if he ever managed to get with Lily, she would hang off of his arm. Sirius on the other hand was more independent. He knew he'd grow tired of someone following him around constantly, talking about God knows what. He was just more of a guy's guy, and even valued time to himself honestly. One thing he didn't have time for were chatty girls with nothing better to talk about than the socks that some tacky Ravenclaw wore. The thought itself caused shivers to run down his spine. There were so many reasons why Sirius never had a girlfriend, and mainly because he had never found a girl who interested him enough, or had a personality he could handle for long periods of time. He had no concept for how Remus could spend so much time with Annelise because he 'liked' her. Remus even claimed that he wasn't trying to get laid! Perhaps Remus had always been right about being 'asexual.'
"I’m not a brainless piece of eye candy."
"Course you're not," Sirius replied casually, with his arms crossed momentarily. "If so, do you think I'd be ... courting you as much as I have been?" He wondered if she actually thought that he believed her to be brainless. Naturally, it wasn't like he believed her to be the woman for him - in fact, he didn't believe such a girl existed. It was almost like, in his mind, that Lena was the funny version of Lily Evans, except he wasn't actually serious about her. At the moment, she merely intrigued him. Why exactly didn't she want to be with him? She was a Slytherin-hater just like him, so it wasn't like she was friends with any of his family members. He knew he probably would never figure it out, but he knew he'd continue trying. Why not? Nothing was a waste of time in his books.
"I’d never get anything done."
"You're right," he said, the ego in him shining through. It was merely joking around (for the most part), but Sirius let on to everyone that he had arrogance the size of the moon. Yes, he was indeed a bit arrogant, but not really as much as he let on. He was more confident with a side of arrogant. Okay, maybe more than a side. Probably about half and half. Why not joke about it, though? Was it not better than to complain about being ugly or fat? "You'd probably be all caught up in my stories, wanting to be on me all of the time. I mean, look at you, I can see in your eyes how much you long for my touch."
Sirius ran a finger quickly along her jaw line, and then pulled away. The skin on her face was as soft as it looked, plus some. He laughed at her comment about how small and curvy wasn't the same as tall and thin.
"Of course they're not short and curvy. I believe I said that your body outstrips theirs, which means better," Sirius said, as if it was widely known that short and curvy was better. "Men don't want sticks. Yes, slender is nice, but only when it has... His eyes traced down the side of her body, and then said the last word, "Curves." Sirius' intensity was lost again the moment after he said it. Yes, the thought of her body made him occasionally lose his hyper train of thought, but at the same time he was hyper, and she wasn't naked, so it didn't mean that he had to get all serious about the situation. He just had to keep his mind from imagining her with no clothes on. It was difficult, but it could be done. Lena called out his name again, and Sirius burst out laughing even harder, due to the fact she was doing exactly what he had made fun of her for. His laugh was known to be loud and contagious, and in this situation it was no different. The sound echoed throughout the room, and the next thing he knew, he was finding it hard not to imagine her naked again, for she was practically pressing herself against him. His eyes went wide for a split second, and he had to look away to calm himself. "You don't have to climb all over me to get my attention, you already have it," he remarked, grinning at her, but continuing to raise the quill out of her reach, standing on tip toe in order to do so. Lena raised an eyebrow at him as he agreed with her not being brainless. She knew he knew she was intelligent. Otherwise they wouldn’t be able to verbally spar as they always do. Such as now. But it was always good to make sure he remembered he couldn’t charm her into anything. "If so, do you think I'd be ... courting you as much as I have been?” Lena had to snort at his words. “Courting me? You’re courting me? Since when? Courting is giving a girl flowers, asking her to Hogsmeade, treating her like a girl, not a sex object. And all with the specific purpose to stay with that girl more than a week or two. None of which you have done. So, no I don’t believe this is courting. I just see it as you wanting something you very obviously cannot have.” She grinned. He couldn’t have her because she wasn’t interested in womanizers. Yeah they got along and he was a beautiful specimen of a male, but she couldn’t see herself being with him. What would be the point? For her to want to be with him, he’d have to change into being a relationship kind of guy. And that was never going to happen. But would she tell him that he was good looking and that if he just changed one thing about him she’d be all his? Never. Because he wouldn’t ask outright and he wouldn’t change anyway. Besides, they were just better off as friends.
"You'd probably be all caught up in my stories, wanting to be on me all of the time. I mean, look at you, I can see in your eyes how much you long for my touch." His arrogance truly knew no bounds. Lena laughed out loud at him for what he said. She played along for a minute and made her eyes turn molten chocolate in color and stared at him as if she would rather have nothing but him chained to her bed. She lowered her voice, making it seductive. “Oh yes, baby. I want you so much. I crave for you to touch me. To take me and make me yours.” Suddenly she went back to normal, voice back to what it was, and eyes their honey brown again. “Get real, Sirius. I meant you’d never allow me to have the peace I need to do my homework and you know it. You’re impeding me working on it now.”
She felt his finger slide over her skin and cocked an eyebrow at him, wondering why he did it. He had moved away before she could smack him, again. Oh well. Let him get a little feel for what he could never have. "Of course they're not short and curvy. I believe I said that your body outstrips theirs, which means better," She laughed softly and wanted to comment on if hers was better, why he had so many models hanging in his room, but she refrained. Knowing him he’d figure out a way to make a poster picture of her just to annoy her and that wouldn’t be good at all. His look down her body made her smirk in a purely feminine way. Lena knew her body looked good. Enough guys had been caught looking at it, not just Sirius. She waved her hand in front of her face, pretending to fan herself with a look of indifference. “Oh I know. Quite a few boys in this school have shown just how much they like my curves.” She looked back at him, mischief in her eyes, wondering how he would take that. There had only been one or two but he didn’t need to know that.
Lena continued to squirm, trying to make her body stretch more so she could grab the quill from me. She stared at it in his hand as she idly told him, “Shut up. If you think this is me climbing on you, you have no idea what climbing up you would be. Just give me the blasted quill!” She jumped again, snatching at the feather, her breasts pressing their soft fullness completely against him as she slid down. Her lip was down in a pout when he raised it even higher. Without another tactic or her wand, she’d never get the quill back. Lena wondered if it was even worth the trouble now but she couldn’t bring herself to stop the game.

"Fine, chasing you, then," Sirius said with a casual wave of his hand. "Women and your details. Does it matter the wording I use in order to try to get your attention and affection?"
He grinned again, hoping that she would find his boyish smile charming. Most girls did, even when they were adults. Sirius never really had a hard time getting what he wanted from people, even from those of the same gender. It was just what happened when you were good looking. Your personality flaws were always being constantly overlooked, and mistakes were seen as endearing instead of annoying. Sirius knew that if he didn't have the appearance that he did, he would never get away with half the stuff that he did. Same with James. Although Sirius was better looking, James was still decent, and he was able to get what he wanted, as well. They really did make good best mates for a reason.
"Besides," Sirius continued. "You don't know my intentions. Maybe I've... changed my ways." He said it in a way that clearly meant that his intentions were no different than usual. "Why else would I have been chasing you for weeks? Look, would one date really kill you?"
He smiled his white teeth again. The two of them had many onlookers at this point, which didn't bother him whatsoever. He was almost hoping that the glares that Lena was getting from some of the girls who were eavesdropping would get to her, and cause her to give in. Besides, Sirius had never said the word 'date' before in his life. Yes, he had dates to dances and things like that, but he never called it that personally. He always found other words for it, like hanging out, or getting to know each other. He was sincerely hoping that saying that would help her say yes someway. Desperate times called for desperate measures.
Lena's face suddenly changed into a very sexy expression. Well, he wasn't expecting that. The moment she began speaking, though, he knew that she was only kidding around and being sarcastic. He did have girls before who straight up told him what they wanted from him, but it was because that's who thye were. Lena, as far as Sirius was aware from being in the same year and House for the past few years, was not the type. He frowned, however, subconsciously wishing that was what she really wanted.
"Who cares about homework?" Sirius asked, non-chalantly. "Do it all on Saturday or something. Get it out of the way. If it gets to be a few days late, just make up some story. Why waste your life behind a book, when you could live something even better?"
It may have sounded profound to most, but it really wasn't. Some freak-in-the-sheets Hufflepuff said it to him once when they were talking about bookworms, and he fell in love with the phrase. Obviously, not in love with that girl however. The two hadn't been looking for love, anyways, and they had both made that clear. Some days those kinds of girls were exactly what he wanted, other days they weren't.
"Oh really?" Sirius said about her comment about boys in Hogwarts loving her curves. He raised an eyebrow and said, "So, what difference does it make if one more guy shows you how much he loves them?"
Lena continued to climb on him, but he couldn't ignore the feeling of her chest pressed against his. He kept the quill higher and higher, and she put a pout on. It didn't look like one of those whiney pouts that he absolutely could not stand, but instead just one like she was willing to do anything to get her quill back. It was extremely tempting, but had a feeling that she already knew that. He grabbed her from around the waist with his free arm and pulled her close, looking deeply into her brown eyes for a few seconds. Sirius then released her away from him (for it was quite easy due to her smallness) and finished with, "I can't be responsible for my actions if you keep pressing yourself against me and pouting your lips like that." Sirius made it sound like he was joking, but really he was not. He half-wondered about how she would interpret it, but decided that she didn't care. He felt as if she knew that she was extremely attractive, and how hard it was for Sirius to not make a move. Regardless if she even knew the depths of her good looks, he knew that she was aware that she was toying with him.

Lena raised an eyebrow at him. "Women and your details. Does it matter the wording I use in order to try to get your attention and affection?" Her hands went right back to her hips as she watched him. “Did you just dismiss me?” Her eyes were slightly serious, but it was really all a front, knowing he wasn’t really that serious and she wasn’t that upset anyway. His little charmer smile was on. He always put it on when he was trying to get someone to do something for him or try and get his way. It was funny how he used it on so many girls and they would fall into puddles at his feet. Good thing she was just about immune to it. She just thought it was kinda cute.
You don't know my intentions. Maybe I've... changed my ways." Lena snorted out loud at that with laughter. It was obviously not true. Sirius wouldn’t change for anyone or anything. He loved being who he was. She would never believe he’d changed. It was just in his nature. No one would ever tame Sirius Orion Black and if some girl was stupid enough to think she could, she deserved the disappointment and eventual heartbreak. "Why else would I have been chasing you for weeks? Look, would one date really kill you?" She rolled her eyes and shrugged. “You’re only chasing me because you know I won’t go out with you. I’m a challenge and you’re not used to girls not falling all over you for your attention.” Him using the word ‘date’ did make her blink and raise an eyebrow but shrugged it off, figuring he was just saying it to try and get her attention, not that he meant it. “One, you’ve never ‘dated’ a girl before so I see no reason to think I’d be different. And two, a date wouldn’t kill me but your fan girls probably would kill me. They wouldn’t want me tainting you or stealing you away.”
Lena had noticed they were being watched and she really hated it but she didn’t do much more than turn and send some of the louder ones a glare to shut up, before turning back to Sirius. His cocky smile almost made her want to smack him but she refrained. They really were friends, normally. Today her nerves were just stretched a bit too short. Might be why she was even having this conversation with him in the first place.
Lena had thought her little act on really wanting him had been brilliant. She saw it catch him off guard for a moment but no, he didn’t take the bait. Darn. That could have been some fun. Oh well. She gasped slightly at his words, ”Who cares about homework?” “I do! I very much care about homework. I need the good grades and I refuse to turn in anything late. Besides, the weekend is my two days of actual relaxation with nothing to do. I can be a real person, a real GIRL those two days. I won’t put off homework at the risk of losing my days off. And reading books does not make me waste my life. Just because I’m not out pranking people all the time or flying on a stupid bloody broom does not mean I don’t have a life.” Lena hated brooms. Truly and completely. She had never been on one in her life and she planned to never be on one during the rest of it. Quite a few of the girls in her dorm knew of her aversion to brooms coming from fear but they kept it a secret and just let people think she hated them for being pointless.
Her comment of guys watching her curves had been to see if she could get a rise out of him. It hadn’t worked that way. Damnit. Lena rolled her eyes. “Just because they look doesn’t mean I care that they see. Hell, my curves aren’t even that big a deal. Certainly nothing to go on about or ‘love’ as you just said. There are plenty of other girls with bigger and better than me.”It was true. She wasn’t the only one with curves so that couldn’t be the reason Sirius wanted her so bad. She still bet it had to do with the he couldn’t have her thing.
Lena had been contemplating the best plan to get her quill back, as Sirius was certainly too darn tall for her to get, and she didn’t even pay attention her lip was pouting. She was lost on calculating thoughts when suddenly she was pulled up against a hard chest and blinked up at Sirius blankly; having no idea why he’d suddenly grabbed her. His dark eyes looked into hers for a moment before he let her get away. Lena watched him, having no idea what the heck he was talking about. “I wasn’t pressing against you. I was trying to reach the quill you stupid giant.” Her lip pouted out even more on its own will. Right now she truly hated her short stature. She needed to figure out a way to get that quill. Her arms crossed below her breasts as she went back to thinking about what to do. She had waved off the rest of his comment about not being able to hold himself responsible, again not knowing what he was talking about and not really worried about it. Which might be an oversight on her part. Lena might know she was beautiful in her own unique way, and she flirted out right, but she truly didn’t have all that much experience with guys. So she didn’t know what he’d meant and how much danger she might be getting into.

"I didn't dismiss you," Sirius said, back-tracking quickly. Sirius really was quite the dismissive person, but he never really saw it that way. In fact, the only flaw he could actually see in himself was his temper, but he thought it was a good defense mechinsm. "I was merely... correcting myself."
Lena laughed, and although he knew that she was laughing at him, he couldn't help but grin at her laugh anyways. When one of his friends laughed, he typically had to, as well. Although, since it was at his expense this time, he just grinned as she rambled about how he hadn't changed, and would never, and how he only chased her because she was exactly that... a chase. His grey eyes narrowed playfully. "Are you scared of the other girls? Not very Gryffindor-esque, is that? They wouldn't do anything... I think ... I mean, if they were really trying to get with me, they wouldn't want to do anything to upset me, would they?"
Sirius thought about it for a second. No one had ever really been hurt before, and he had been seen with plenty of girls. Maybe there would be some scandalizing rumours spread, but that had to be the extent of it. Girls were typically cattier than actually physically worrisome, so he never actually thought of them as a threat in that manner. Besides, who was really bothered by rumours anyways? The people who were bothered by it were just very insecure, in his opinions. Rumours flew about Sirius all the time, claiming that he was sexually inadequate, or something else just as vicious. Regardless, he only joked about it, and girls continued to want to see him, so were those rumours spread by girls he had one night stands with, or Slytherins, really all that bad?
"You sound just like Remus," Sirius said at her comments about homework. "So... if you insist on doing your homework now, then how about this weekend I take you out? If those are your days for being a girl, then how about that date? Besides, you don't have to see why you'd be different, do you? That's up to me. Would it truly cause you any harm? Look, we'd be in Hogsmeade, you could run if I tried something... funny."
He grinned his boyish smile again, hoping against hope that maybe she'd say yes. Did he really have a plan for a date? Not really, but he'd think of something, he always did. Most of the time girls didn't even require a date. Besides, he got the idea from Remus, really. Remus was the one telling him all about he was going on a few dates with Annelise first before they became a couple. Couldn't he do the same thing? Going on a date didn't make you a couple necessarily (despite what a few heartbroken third and fourth years thought) so what was the risk, right? He was hoping maybe she'd see it his way, as in 'what's the harm in one date, and I could just leave if he becomes obnoxious or touchy.' He doubted she would, but he at least had to try.
"As well, shows how much you're judging me without knowing me. I'm not on the Quidditch team, and the only time I play is if I'm helping out James or if I'm bored," Sirius explained as if it was a widely known fact. "In fact, I haven't been on a broom in months. Not that I don't enjoy it, but, I have better things to do. I don't just prank, I do just hang out with friends. Look at you, being all judgemental. It's like you don't even know me at all."
Sirius said all of that with a tone of being hurt. Really, he was just using it all to his advantage. Besides, realistically, he didn't make all sorts of assumptions about Lena all over the place. Well, in his mind at least. He laughed as she claimed that she wasn't pressing herself against him.
"You're not pressing yourself against me? Pray, tell me then, what is the word for when someone puts their body against another's?" Sirius asked, a gleam of amusement in his eyes. "Admit it... you waaaaant me."
He said the last bit with a childish tone to his voice. That one was quite obviously joking around, and everyone knew it. A couple of girls giggled a bit, but at the same time they looked envious that he was not accusing them of wanting him.

Lena’s eyebrow stayed raised, amusement showing now. She saw him back track through his words. It was so funny seeing him doing that, knowing he’d said something possibly very bad. She did love teasing him. He tried to be such the charmer but it rarely ever worked on her. Lena just found it incredibly hilarious that he even tried to charm her. “Correcting yourself? Good way to put it. Saying you stuck your foot in your mouth is not as polite.”
Lena snorted and shrugged, not giving him the satisfaction of yelling at him for calling her not much of a Gryffindor. “I could handle them if it came to that and I really had to. And I have no idea what your fan girls would do if we actually went out together or something. It hasn’t happened yet and honestly I see no reason to tempt fate. Girls can do very interesting and mean things when they have the mind to. You don’t need to have brute strength to make someone hurt, I promise you that.”She had never been hurt by one of the girls here and she really didn’t expect them to fight over Sirius like that. But she’d seen it before in other schools. Girls can be very vengeful. She blinked at him commenting they wouldn’t want to upset him. “Why on earth would them trying to go after me upset you? Or did you mean them fighting each other in general?”
"You sound just like Remus," Lena smiled brightly up at him. “I believe I will take that as a compliment. Remus is a very nice guy and he makes a great study partner on the occasions that we work together.” Lena raised an eyebrow at the rest. “So... if you insist on doing your homework now, then how about this weekend I take you out? If those are your days for being a girl, then how about that date? Besides, you don't have to see why you'd be different, do you? That's up to me. Would it truly cause you any harm? Look, we'd be in Hogsmeade, you could run if I tried something... funny." She’d forgotten that it was a Hogsmeade weekend. Hm. So she had more fun to look forward to. Going to town sounded nice. Letting Sirius take her there as a date, not so much. His head was big enough. He finally ‘catching’ her would make it even bigger. Not to mention their little conversations wouldn’t be as fun without her challenge. Saying no to him was one of the bright sides of her days. “Why do I have to go on a date to be a girl? And besides, what if I had wanted to go to town this weekend with someone else?” She posed the question, eyebrow raised. Lena wouldn’t go with anyone else but still. She was playing their little game. He saying she could run away if he tried anything funny made her snort and look up at him. “Sirius you wouldn’t force a girl to do anything she didn’t want to do and you know it. So you wouldn’t try any ‘funny business’ anyway.” Though she didn’t take into account other things other than him trying to kiss her. She knew he wouldn’t force himself on a girl but her technically innocent self didn’t know there were many other ways to tease a girl.
Lena did actually think that maybe she should say yes in a “what the hell, might as well” way. She hadn’t said no yet after all. But, again, she didn’t want to just give in and let him get all big headed that he’d finally won her over or something. And she didn’t want to lose the interesting friendship they had together. That was why she hadn’t said yes. But at least trying it out to see what would happen was why she hadn’t said no either.
It's like you don't even know me at all." She shrugged, knowing his hurt look was all fake. “Then forgive me, sir, for hurting your obviously touchy feelings. Forgive me for leaving out flirting with girls and hanging out with James, Remus, and Peter.” She was being sarcastic but a soft smile curled up her lips so he knew it wasn’t a mean sarcasm.
“I’m short, you’re tall. I was trying to get the quill. Nothing more and you know it. Besides, if I had been pressing against you on purpose, you would definitely know it.” She rolled her eyes, trying to not laugh at his charm. He was really laying it on today. It was funny. But for him to learn, she couldn’t laugh at him right now. “I want you? Since when? And even if I did,” she smirked slightly and flicked her dark hair over her shoulder, “You want me more.” Lena dropped the flirt for a moment as she heard some girls laughing and turned to look at them, noticing they were still the center of attention. She suddenly tensed and her eyes widened slightly, as she saw almost everyone’s eyes watching them closely and she took a step back, not liking it. Lena really did not like being stared at. No matter how much fun teasing and flirting or arguing with Sirius was she couldn’t stand being watched by everyone like this. She always felt like a freak when people stared at her. Like the crowd of people who always stared at her the whole summer after 3rd year. Hopefully Sirius wouldn’t think it was his fault she was moving away. She didn’t really want to hurt him. But if something didn’t happen to get the people to stop staring at her soon, she might have to make herself scarce.

Sirius watched as Lena's eyebrow rose and knew it meant nothing good was going to happen. Sure enough, her mouth was smart, and she told him off. Was Sirius surprised? No. He admittedly had a small amount of patience when it came to girls who showed no patience, and Lena, for today, was running out of his. It wasn't like he was about to bugger off, but he doubted his humour would continue for much longer with her. In fact, the staring girls next to them were starting to look pretty attractive, wheras he would typically show them no attention, just because they were the only assurance at the moment that he wasn't doing anything wrong. Really, Sirius was just accustomed to girls falling at his feet, begging for his attention. He grew bored when always trying to chase a girl.
"I didn't know wording yourself wrong was considered putting your foot in your mouth," he replied, a little moodily. It was just the way he was. It was nothing personal to Lena, it was just he had a short fuse. Being constantly corrected was not something he enjoyed, or something he was used to.
However, when Lena snorted, Sirius laughed. He couldn't help it. It was high on the list of things that made him laugh nearly no matter what, following burping and farting. He was a little boy when it came to those things, and nothing would change that. However, he and his friends weren't hicks. They didn't just sit around making farting and burping noises. It was funnier when someone didn't mean to do it. The words that followed were a little hostile in his mind.
"Well, unless you have a small enough mind to be bothered by gossip..." Sirius teased light-heartedly. He was trying to make it sound like, 'if you claim you can handle it, then why not prove it' sort of thing. He listened to her speak about them upsetting him, and he chuckled slightly and said, "I meant 'upset' in the sense of them angering me. Upset doesn't necessarily mean crying, Lena. It would anger me because it's not your fault that they couldn't entertain me for more than a few days."
The words came out a little more angry-sounding than he had intended, but tried to pretend the tone hadn't happened by chuckling afterwards. He honestly hadn't meant to sound that way, and hoped she didn't think that he was like that. Sirius frowned at her mention of Remus. Obviously she would know who he was, but didn't know that they were study buddies, or anything of the like. What, did Remus start using his smarts as a way to get with girls? First Annelise, now Lena? He tried to keep the jealousy out of his voice as he said, "Well, we're not talking about Remus really, are we?"
Sirius side-glanced at the girls staring, and decided to lightly grab Lena by her upper arm in order to guide both of them away and more into a corner for privacy. He never thought he'd do something like that. For the most part, he enjoyed an audience, but they were starting to get annoying, especially because Sirius was beginning to get frustrated overall. He tried his best to not let it show, but it was getting rather hard. He really never had to try to persuade someone so much. Besides, the two of them were friends to begin with anyways, so he thought it'd perhaps be a little easier.
Sirius grinned at what she said, "So what if I want you more? You don't think that maybe you should take it like a compliment? Come on Lena. No, I wouldn't force myself onto a girl, and since you obviously know that, why not? Why not an afternoon out with me?" He smiled genuinely. He wasn't down to begging, not yet. Just a bit more than a gentle persuasion was where he was at. "What's honestly the worst that could happen? Someone seeing you with me? People see you with me around Hogwarts anyways. What do you say?"
Sirius couldn't remember the last time he sounded so, well, honest. All he wanted was a simple 'yes' and he'd go to bed smiling. Okay, yes, maybe he'd brag, and that was a strong maybe. But what guy didn't? Even Remus sounded like he was bragging when he told Sirius about his date with Annelise. It was natural to brag when you got what you wanted.
"Give me three good reasons to why you shouldn't come with me this weekend," he said, keeping the humour in his voice. He didn't know how much more he'd ask until he'd give up, at least for the day. He definitely wasn't going to beg. If she'd say no, he'd just go out and find some other pretty lady to accompany him. Begging wasn't something Sirius did, and it wasn't going to change now.

"I didn't know wording yourself wrong was considered putting your foot in your mouth." Lena blinked as she took note of Sirius’ tone. He rarely got angry around girls or showed any kind of temper. She knew it was there, of course. He tended to toss it toward Slytherin’s though. Not girls he was trying to flirt with. But it seemed her last bit had finally started to hit a nerve. Not exactly her plan though. She watched him carefully, a bit wary to say anything now, figuring he was probably one insult away from shouting. Friendly insult or not. Lena would love to avoid the yelling. She spoke softly, trying to calm him down as if he was a big angry dog. “Well then how about I apologize now for putting my foot in my mouth just then?” She raised an eyebrow, hopeful he’d relax again. She hadn’t known their little conversation was getting to him that much that he was getting moody and annoyed about it.
When he started to laugh, she relaxed again, figuring he was ok now. Laughter wasn’t called the best medicine for nothing. Hopefully now he would be less moody and they could go back to their teasing. She didn’t mind he was laughing at her snort. She only did it occasionally but if she found it funny, why should she get mad at Sirius for laughing? At least it was a little better now. Lena really didn’t like upsetting her friends and Sirius was actually the closest guy friend she had. Sure she had a few girl friends but Sirius was her favorite guy friend. She could almost be real with him. Almost being she couldn’t tell him she actually thought he was cute and such. But their little fights really were her favorite part of the day.
She smiled at his tease, rolling her eyes back at him. “I’m not small minded and no one ever gossips about me anyway. What’s to gossip about? I’m a boring little bookworm.” Lena shrugged, knowing it was true. While rumors floated around the school about most of the people she knew, she was just about under the radar for notice. She was probably only on the radar because of the man standing in front of her because he had been chasing her to go out with him for a few weeks now. "I meant 'upset' in the sense of them angering me. Upset doesn't necessarily mean crying, Lena. It would anger me because it's not your fault that they couldn't entertain me for more than a few days." Lena had to snicker at that one. “I’m not daft you know. You wouldn’t cry about me. I was just wondering why on earth you would even care they were bugging me. But now you’ve answered that anyway.” She shrugged, not really bothered that he had spoken of other girls like that. It was true. If a girl believed she could hold his interest for very long, she was just stupid. Sirius wouldn’t be tamed. And, frankly, Lena was always secretly amused every time some girl got it into her head to try and always failed.
Lena raised an eyebrow at his sudden frown, wondering where that had come from. Did she say something or had he just remembered something he had to do? There was no telling what was going on in that male’s mind. "Well, we're not talking about Remus really, are we?" Lena blinked again. She couldn’t quite point it out but his tone had changed again. She didn’t know why or what it could possibly mean though. That wasn’t good. She shrugged, watching him. “You’re the one who brought him up. I was just commenting on it.” Her tone basically said it wasn’t a big deal. That there really wasn’t anything to think about Remus except his study abilities and friendship. Lena honestly only saw the other Marauder as a friend. They’d started talking at breakfast one day and ended up occasionally helping each other on homework after that.
Lena actually relaxed when he touched her and moved them away and into a corner. She subtly moved so that his broad tall body was blocking her from seeing the people watching them and, hopefully, blocking them from seeing her. He might not have moved them because she had been uncomfortable but it was still great to get out of the spotlight. She leaned against the wall of the corner behind her, her smile full of soft thanks, even if she didn’t say it. It didn’t even occur to her that, because he’d moved first, it must mean something had been wrong with him being in the center of attention and that was very abnormal. Sirius usually loved it after all.
“So what if I want you more?” Lena laughed, grinning slightly. Yeah she knew he wanted her because of all of his chasing. But he’d never said the words before. It actually charmed her a little. He’d complimented her before and all. And she’d thrown that at him as a joke. She truly hadn’t thought that he’d really say he wanted her more. She rolled her eyes slightly, unable to get the small smile off her lips. "I'm so proud of you for finally admitting it outloud and sounding like you mean it." Honestly the worst thing that could happen is she might forget he was a womanizer and turn into one of those stupid girls she always made fun of. But she wasn’t going to tell him that. Besides, that was the worst thing. Lena guessed she could always try and pretend it’s just a friend’s day out and not a date. That might work. But she wouldn’t tell him her decision just yet. Even if he did sound truly honest with her now.
"Give me three good reasons to why you shouldn't come with me this weekend" Lena raised an eyebrow at his question and got a thoughtful look on her face. “Hm.” She smiled and looked up at him, mischief in her eyes. “Well you’ve stopped me from getting my homework done so now I have to do that this weekend. So there’s that. Oh or maybe the book I’ve been meaning to read this weekend. Or maybe I just won’t be able to figure out anything to wear to celebrate the occasion that you’re getting what you want.” She raised an eyebrow at him, hoping he understood that last part. She was saying yes without saying yes. He had to figure it out on his own.
