Word count: 585 Remus wandered down to the great hall with his friends that morning as though nothing was the matter. Well, there wasn't really something the matter, he just hadn't told them yet he wouldn't be joining them in Hogsmeade today, because he would be going with Annelise. He'd kept it for himself for a little while, just to enjoy the feeling of it being his (or, well: their) little secret. He'd woken up rather early and had not been able to sleep. Remus had tried, tossing and turning for a bit, pulling the blankets over his head to hold onto the pleasant dreams he'd had that night, and then he'd remember he'd also have a very pleasant day. So apart from the fact that his bed was decidedly warmer than the outside world (the sky was still grey and the wind was still rather harsh), he suddenly didn't feel so bad about getting up anymore. Despite the date, Remus had not taken any longer in the bathroom than usual, showering quickly, brushing his teeth, and running his fingers through his hair in an attempt to make it look decent. His hair was getting longish again, but actually Remus rather liked it that way. He could always have it cut later, now was too late anyway and trying to fix it now would probably only end in a fiasco. Clothing-wise, Remus didn't do anything special either. It wasn't that he didn't want to look nice for Annelise, he did, but for one thing, he didn't have a lot of really nice clothes. Well, not that his clothes weren't nice, but they were just a bit.. old. Remus didn't blame his parents for nearly ruining themselves in order to find a cure for him, but he was glad when they'd finally stopped experimenting and started living their own lives again. The poverty that still reigned their household didn't bother him, he was just glad to see his parents concerned with their own lives again in stead of being completely focused on his. Dismissing the thoughts, Remus pulled an aubergine sweater over his head after having pulled on his favourite jeans, which were just a bit too wide. Remus wasn't sure what the reason was, but clothes that were too tight annoyed him, he didn't like being trapped in his clothes, he needed to be able to move and feel comfortable. By the time he was done, his friends were as good as dressed and up. While walking downstairs to the Great Hall for breakfast, he could hear them chattering and discussing where they'd go, what they'd get at Zonko's, etc., and he said nothing just yet. His friends didn't really seem to notice, Remus was often a little quiet in the mornings. Actually, he was a little quiet overall. He helped himself to a royal amount of porridge and hummed appreciatively around his spoon as he took the first bite; Remus had been hungry and he loved porridge in the morning. His mother used to make him porridge, believing that a young lad was nowhere without a healthy breakfast, and Remus often preferred it over bacon, sausages, or eggs. He glanced at his friends again and half smiled at their plans for the day. Sounded like they were going to have fun. Well.. he was too. And he'd tell them. But first.. porridge.

Sirius rolled over in his bed, and as he did so, he went crashing into the floor, bringing half of his sheets and blankets with him. Despite falling to the hardwood floors, he merely just rolled over again, bringing his blanket up over his head to prevent his eyes from being assaulted by the sunlight peeking in through the gap in the curtains. He groaned, as his foot was now uncovered and was getting cold. There was no winning this morning. He peeked one grey out of the blankets to look around the room. No one was there. His mates were still in bed, which was a first. He was typically the last one awake in the morning, occasionally being beat by James.
No matter how much the boy could sleep, there was no way he could sleep on the floor. He picked himself up, and pulled up the pajama trousers that had slipped down a little too low during the night. He lazily flung his sheets and blankets back onto his bed, unconcerned about fixing them up. The house elves would no doubt do it later anyways. He went into his trunk and just grabbed the first top and trousers he could find, along with undergarments. As much as everyone hated to admit it, they all knew it didn't matter what he threw on - everything looked good on him.
Sirius walked over to the bathroom, and shut and locked the door behind him. He stared at his reflection in the mirror. Despite the fact that his hair was a complete mess, and his eyes were puffy from sleep, he was still outrageously good looking, and that was what he told himself as he turned on the shower. He waited until it was steaming hot, and then stripped himself down and stepped in. It felt nice first thing in the morning to have hot water streaming down one's body, but at the same time, it made Sirius sleepy, and it made him envious that all of his friends were still in bed. So, Sirius did the logical thing to try to wake himself up: he began to sing.
Not only did Sirius sing, he sang loud with a deep voice and very enthusiastically. No one else knew he was also adding dance moves. "There was a troll from Birmingham, Who liked to slam, His club down on all the heads. But when he came across good Lord Prancy-Walkins, He was told to stop it, Yes, told to stop it. But the good ole troll was confused, He became amused, And killed the Lord. And ever since that good ole day, The troll played away, with the Lord's ole cheery 'ead!"
When Sirius was done, he stepped out of the shower and dressed, putting on a deep green jumper, and just an average pair of faded dark jeans. He brushed his teeth, smiled into his reflection, and then mussed up his hair with his fingers, knowing that it honestly didn't matter what he did with his hair, for it always dried nicely. He exited the shower, and returned to his dormitories to recieve a lot of disgruntled awoken dorm-mates. None of them really said anything, however, and Sirius put his pajama trousers in his trunk before making his way to the common room, where he met up with Remus, James and Peter. They all went to the Great Hall, and then sat down. Sirius talked merrily with the others about their grand scheme in Hogsmeade, not even realizing that Remus wasn't pitching in for ideas. They sat down, and everyone loaded their plate, Sirius almsot doubling the amount on his than everyone else. He began to eat, and pausing every now and then to take a gulp of pumpkin juice to wash it down with. However, one on of his breaks from talking, he heard something. A humming noise. It distracted him, but it didn't take him long to trace the noise to Remus, who was humming while he ate. Sirius raised an eyebrow at Remus' cheeriness, and blantantly stared at him, as if he was confused that such a thing existed. "Oi, mate, either tell us what you're so cheery about, or at least hum something in tune," Sirius joked as he ate three sausages as once. Word count: 730

Oh, yes, being woken up by Sirius singing his lungs to pieces in the shower was also always a good way of waking up. Still, not even that had managed to dampen Remus' spirits. No, not today. He listened to his friends as they made more conversation than most teenagers could, early in the morning, laughing or chuckling occasionally at a joke someone made, or half nodding at something that was 'essential to the next master-prank'. Remus was absent minded, but even that passed them by unnoticed - until he hummed, apparently.
Sirius raised an eyebrow at him and Remus slightly smiled back at him, lips still around his spoon. Funny, how Sirius was surprised at his cheerfulness, as if Remus was never cheerful at all. He rolled his eyes at Sirius. "It's well-known that I cannot even carry a tune to its grave, Sirius," he commented with an enigmatic grin. It was true - Remus could not sing at all. He pulled a face at Sirius' eating habits. "And don't eat like that, it's gross, you animal."
After he'd finished his porridge, Remus realised he was still hungry and allowed himself to indulge in some sausages (although there were only few left, thanks to his friends), although he actually ate them with a knife and fork and one bite at the time, au contraire to Sirius Black. "As a matter of fact," he said, slowly deliberately, as he knew Sirius couldn't stand secrets and would get impatient (yes, he sometimes liked stalling, just to see his friend twitch at the suspense), "I will not be joining you in Hogsmeade today." He smiled slightly. It was obvious that whatever caused him to not be able to go with his friends was also the source of his cheerfulness, and Remus glanced at Sirius shortly as he added: "Not that I don't like you, but apparently, I've just become a legend." That last bit was, obviously, a referral to his conversation with Sirius, so he was sure his friend would know what he meant.

Sirius was about three-quarters of the way done his breakfast and about the same amount finished with his drink by the time Remus had time to reply. Needless to say, Sirius ate a lot, and he ate fast. He was lucky for his good genes, for he just enjoyed to eat. When Sirius liked something, he liked to have a lot of it, and have it all at once. Perhaps it was why he was such a womanizer. He liked women, so he liked to have a lot of them.
"It's well-known that I cannot even carry a tune to its grave, Sirius."
"Well then, there's only one option left is there?" Sirius replied, grinning still. He ignored James and Peter at this point, both of which were now in deep conversation with each other, as Remus and Sirius were. "I can eat however I want. It still doesn't keep the girls at bay."
Sirius was admittedly arrogant. How could someone not when they got as much as attention that he did? Deep down, yes, he was a good guy, but at the same time, he had a lot of traits that he would find irritating on others. Soemtimes he wondered how he did ever get into Gryffindor. Every now and then, particularly when Sirius was in a bad mood, he put his placing due to the fact that he didn't want to be in Slytherin, and that's why he wasn't. Whatever the reason, he was in Gryffindor, and therefore it was added to the grand list of reasons of why he thought he was better than the rest of his family.
"I will not be joining you in Hogsmeade today."
Sirius initially got a bit annoyed. Was that why Remus was in a good mood? Because he didn't have to go to Hogsmeade with his friends? It seemed a little rude to be happy about that. If he didn't like going with the rest o f the Marauders, then why did he bother? However, Remus continued before Sirius could retort.
""Not that I don't like you, but apparently, I've just become a legend."
Sirius was confused somewhat for a brief moment, but when he realized what Remus was talking about, his eyes grew wide, but not as wide as the grin he was now wearing. He began to laugh a little bit, and then belted out, "REMUS GOT LAID!"
He couldn't help it. He didn't mean for his voice to be so loud, but he couldn't help it; just like he couldn't help the extremely loud laugh that followed. Tears came to Sirius' eyes as he laughed, and it caused the few students that were in the Great Hall at that hour to turn and stare. "Remus! Why didn't you say anything before?" he paused only briefly to catch his breath. "I'm so proud of you, Rem," he added, pretending to act like he was choked up out of joy. He leaned over the table to clap his friend on the shoulder approvingly, and then began to laugh all over again. Word count: 500

Remus could see Sirius face twist into annoyance when he noticed he wouldn't be joining them. He knew Sirius would, Sirius didn't like being ignored, he liked the attention too much. He was also quite sure Sirius would understand his reasons for not coming along, though. Besides, hadn't Remus, James, and Peter not been without Sirius numerous times as well, when Sirius needed to 'do something at the astronomy tower'? He thoroughly enjoyed Sirius' puzzled expression and then the transition in his friend's expression as he realised. Remus had not taken into account, however, that Sirius had a big mouth and a loud voice and would not think this over before shouting.. "REMUS GOT LAID!" Remus couldn't help but blush thoroughly, though he grinned all the while. "Eh, not quite, Sirius, but I do have a date.."
"Remus! Why didn't you say anything before?" Remus shrugged a little, unable to suppress his grin. "Just wanted to enjoy the fact in private for a moment longer, before you'd shout it out so the whole school would know - thank you very much." Another reason which Remus didn't want to elaborate on, was that he feared it would prove to be a passing fancy after all, and that the date would've been called off before being executed. It seemed that that would not happen, though, so he could now speak of it freely without 'jinxing' it. He chuckled at Sirius again. "Yeah, you ought to be proud of me. And of yourself. I wouldn't have gotten this far without your advice," Remus admitted, popping the last bit of his sausage into his mouth and washing it away with pumpkin juice.

"Eh, not quite, Sirius, but I do have a date.."
Sirius frowned again, his laugh coming to a cease immediately. Not quite? That wasn't what he meant about Remus 'getting with' Annelise making him a legend. He had meant getting laid. Whatever, though, Remus seemed to proud to burst his bubble, really. Although Sirius was tempted, just a little bit. He knew what would happen if he did... Remus' face would no doubt drop a bit, but act like nothing was wrong, which would no doubt make Sirius feel even worse about his joke than if Remus lashed out.
"Well, if your date goes well you won't be a virgin by the end of it," Sirius commented casually, eating a forkful of scrambled eggs. "And come on, do you think it's going to be a secret much longer? Rumours fly around Hogwarts faster than I do." It was true. Besides, Skeetbag had an eye of a hawk. She could even spot a rumour before it was said. Remus had already been in the gossip column (Sirius couldn't figure out why Remus had even agreed to be interviewed in the first place, but that's a different story) and he would no doubt be in it again if he was seen around with Westerhof. Skeetbag didn't even have to be in Hogsmeade. One person would tell another and a twisted version would get around to Rita. It was inevitable. Only recently she made a hit on him in the gossip column claiming that he was having an incest-based affair with his cousin Narcissa. Why Rita had even bothered to try to humilate Sirius was beyond him. Had she not learned yet that it took more than rumours to get Sirius angry? A rumour was a rumour, and the best way to debunk them was to be sarcastic, or just ignore them completely.
"So how'd you get her to go out with you? Bribe her for something? Or is this her payment for your tutoring lessons?" Sirius asked, jokingly, finishing off his pumpkin juice and leaning back in his chair. He had the urge to unbuckle his belt, but decided against it. Despite the way he ate, however, he did care about the way he came off. Eating like a pig was one thing, but being a complete slob was another. It wasn't like after Sirius ate he had grease all over his face or anything of the like. Word Count: 420

Remus had genuinely thought that 'getting with someone' meant 'dating' or 'being in a relationship'. He was clearly not as sexually minded as Sirius. Still, he was happily oblivious, though he wasn't very amused that Sirius had shouted about that he had gotten laid. For one: he hadn't! And even if he had he wasn't in the mood to let the whole school know (yet again: he was not Sirius) - that was private. Secondly: he was sure Annelise would not be happy, either, if she heard via-via that Sirius had spread the rumour that they'd had sex. Why did Sirius always have to think about sex?! He noticed Sirius' frown, but thought nothing of it. Sirius probably thought he was being medieval in his ways of courting someone, or something like that. He confirmed that with the next thing he said, really. "Well, if your date goes well you won't be a virgin by the end of it." Remus sighed and rolled his eyes. "Sirius.. it's only the first official date, I'm not going to defile her immediately - like you would." The words were said with a slightly jesting undertone, though Remus had the talent to sound like he was joking, while he was still quite serious - which he was.
"And come on, do you think it's going to be a secret much longer? Rumours fly around Hogwarts faster than I do." Remus shrugged and sighed, popping a stray bit of toast in his mouth. "True.. but that doesn't mean you have to encourage them, I've had more than enough of rumours for the rest of the year." Remus had never told his friend why he had agreed with the interview. He'd been cornered (naked, to be precise) and had not had his wand. Rita had told him he could either say nothing, and feature in her paper for the rest of the year and beyond, or he could cooperate and she'd leave him alone. Remus very much doubted that she'd leave him alone, but back then, it had been his best option. If Rita were to write about him and Annelise being together, he wouldn't really mind. After all.. they were in the process of getting together. If she wrote they'd had sex somewhere, though, that would anger him, and Remus would do something, too. He wasn't completely passive, and if he didn't have his own reputation to defend, he could at least defend Annelise's.
"So how'd you get her to go out with you? Bribe her for something? Or is this her payment for your tutoring lessons?" Remus snorted softly. "No, Sirius, we found out we liked each other, like regular people." He grinned slightly and was proud of himself that he didn't blush as he added: "We kissed and decided to go on a date, nothing juicy there, Siri - sorry." He helped himself to another cup of coffee, dropping some lumps of sugar in it with a faint smile on his face. "So no, no bribing involved. Apparently, I'm not so hideous that I'd need any bribing."

"Sirius.. it's only the first official date, I'm not going to defile her immediately - like you would."
Sirius chuckled, and glanced back at James and Peter, who were both still deep in conversation about something or another. Neither one of them seemed to be paying Sirius and Remus any mind, which didn't really bother him. The four of them didn't always have to be in conversation with all the others, did they? "If it was a good date, it'd end in the way I suggested," Sirius said with a knowing look. "Besides, most girls just like the concept of a relationship... then they're all over you just like that. I'm honestly surprised she even requires a date."
When most people woud say something along those lines, it could sound like the person was being hateful, but really he was just talking as if he knew all about it, almost like Sirius was stating a fact, which in his mind, he was. Sirius believed he only took a girl on a date a few times, and he never went past one date. That way, he could simply tell them afterwards that he wasn't actually interested like he thought he was, and then he wouldn't necessarily come out like the bad guy. He always had his favourite places in mind when thinking of where to bring a girl: Madam Puddifoot's, the lake, or sitting in front of the Shrieking Shack, telling a whole bunch of myths about the place and how it was haunted. All of which got him lucky, and got him lucky fast. He didn't understand it.
"True.. but that doesn't mean you have to encourage them, I've had more than enough of rumours for the rest of the year."
"Can't get mad at me for my tone of voice," Sirius said, with a matter-of-fact tone. He crossed his arms. "Not my fault I have a loud voice - it's genetics. Probably due to my mum screaming so much."
He was half-joking, but at the same time, half-not. His mum seemed to enjoy screaming. Not just at Sirius either - she had a very loud and powerful voice that she used all the time. Sirius thought that if she ever bothered trying to attempt doing something worthwhile, that she could have taken up Opera singing. No, though, her time was best spent yelling, bossing around, picking on Sirius, followed by more yelling. What a great life.
"No, Sirius, we found out we liked each other, like regular people."
Sirius leant forward in his seat, mocking interest. "Regular people, you say? So what's that like?"
He laughed a little bit before going back into his relaxed position. Sometimes Sirius wondered if he could ever take anything seriously. He was indeed proud of Remus, but didn't exactly know how to say it without sounding cheesy or unlike himself. Growing up in the household he did, it wasn't like he was taught to show his emotions well. Word count: 500

Remus shook his head at Sirius, rolling his eyes and sighing like an impatient mother (well, that's what he expected Sirius to compare him to, anyway..). If it was a good date, in Remus' books, it would end with, well, maybe another kiss and the prospect of a next date? "Sirius.. I like the concept of a relationship," he objected, "I mean.. if, if she wants to." He sipped his pumpkin juice briefly. "And what is wrong with her 'being all over me'? I thought you'd be the first to encourage that?" Again, Remus didn't quite get the difference between a girl being all over someone the Sirius-way and a girl being all over someone in-a-way-which-annoyed-Sirius. Sirius didn't seem the type to complain when he was given attention, especially by girls. "And why would you be surprised that she wants a date?" he added, after a brief silence. "I thought that were the normal rules of going out with a girl - ask her on a date?" Remus rolled his eyes, half to himself. This whole dating stuff was damned complicated, why couldn't it just be simple, like he had thought it was: you said you liked a girl, took her on a few dates, if she still liked you: relationship. Tadaa? Sounded completely logical, right? Apparently not, according to Sirius.
"Can't get mad at me for my tone of voice. Not my fault I have a loud voice - it's genetics. Probably due to my mum screaming so much." Remus smiled slightly. "I'm not mad at you, I shouldn't have forgotten you're not the most discreet person in the world," he joked, nudging Sirius. "Besides.. now I think about it, who'll believe it, anyway? It's a common fact in Hogwarts that I am pretty much asexual." Remus thought to himself: 'Which I am not, but no one would believe me if I told them, probably.' For now, it was probably just as well that the school thought the only sex he ever encountered was and always would be in books. Remus had to stop himself from already grinning and shaking his head at Sirius purely because of the expression he wore. He knew what sort of remark would be following. "Regular people, you say? So what's that like?" Honestly, it stung just a little, as Remus was, of course, far from being a regular person, but he knew Sirius didn't know what he was implying, so he didn't say anything about it. "Don't know yet, Sirius, but I will in.." he checked the clock "well, by the time it's evening, when the date's over, I suppose." He half shrugged. "Jealous, Sirius?" Remus joked. Oh, no, Sirius was in no way jealous, he knew - his friend was far too fond of his freedom.

"Sirius.. I like the concept of a relationship."
Sirius pretended to gasp dramatically. He held a hand to his chest in the overly dramatic way that his mother always did when she was complaining that no one was fair to her, and wondering why she was burdened with such a disappointment for a son. Sirius never gave in to her whining. He thought she deserved to be burdened with a lot more than that. Potentially a pack of flying rats right in her face. Then again, Sirius did have a knack for being too kind sometimes.
"A... relationship? Oh, Remus, I thought I was the only one for you!" Sirius pretended to cry into a napkin he had pulled roughly from under James' plate of food. Once again, he was attracting all sorts of attention from the people around him, but he really couldn't have cared less. In his mind, they should have been used to it by now. "Don't do this to me... I thought we had a good thing going."
Was he coming off extremely gay? Yes. Did he care? No. Would some of the girls watching think it hilarious and try to flirt with him later? Most certainly. Almost everything Sirius did warranted girls to flock to him, all joking and teasing with him about what he had done. He assumed this time many of them would ask him if he really felt that way about other boys, and if they could try to convince him to change his mind. Sirius loved being able to tell what girls would try to hit on him with, but at the same time, he occasionally found it boring.
"And what is wrong with her 'being all over me'? I thought you'd be the first to encourage that?"
Sirius burped, and then began to pile more food onto his plate. It was widely known that if you felt full, and then released some gas, that you wouldn't feel as full anymore. Well, in Sirius' case, anyways.
"Don't get me wrong, I do encourage that," Sirius said, wisely, shaking a roll in Remus' face as if he was lecturing him. "Just don't try too hard. Girls don't like goody-two-shoes that try too hard. It's why James will never get with Evans," he shot James a look to see his reaction, but James still wasn't paying attention. Sirius frowned, for he liked to have attention when he felt like it. At the same time, he wasn't going to force people to, either, although sometimes he wished he could. "Well, not saying that James is a goody-two-shoes, but he can certainly act like a Pansy when that redhead is around." Sirius shook his head disapprovingly as he ate some more food, and then looked back to Remus. "If you come on too strong, she'll run. Make sure you don't act all Remusy and be too nice. She'll start seeing you as her best girl friend or something."
Honestly, Sirius was just saying whatever came to mind. Some of it was true, and other things weren't even tested. Sirius was never 'too nice' to a girl anyways, so he wasn't sure if the advice he was dishing out was truly accurate. He always believed it to be. Honestly, if he could get laid without being terribly nice, than he must be doing it right, right?
"I thought that were the normal rules of going out with a girl - ask her on a date?"
"That's where you're wrong," Sirius continued. "Never ever call it a date. Then they get attached. I mean, if you're looking to be her boyfriend for some strange reason, then I guess you've got it right. I just don't understand why you'd want to."
"Jealous, Sirius?"
"Hardly," Sirius replied, drily. "Just wait until the nagging starts, and the 'you're not doing enough' talks. Women. Maybe I had it right earlier by pretending you were mine." He paused, thinking everything over, and picturing Annelise in his mind. "The only way I'll be jealous if I hear her voice in the dormitory later." Word Count: 700 Notes: I started that Remus/Sirius fanfic. I don't know how good it is, but meh. Here it is if you care to read it and tell me what you think =D Sorry it took so long to reply, as well. I had lost my muse, so I'm trying to re-find it xP

Sirius gasped with all the drama he could muster. 'Oh, Circe's ass, here we go..' Remus knew exactly what was coming. He had been friends with Sirius for years and when Sirius did that gasp, Remus knew the best thing to do was just to let him gasp and rant and draw attention to himself, then roll your eyes and go along with it halfheartedly. Remus'd barely had time to realise this when Sirius had began his marvellous soliloquy. "A... relationship? Oh, Remus, I thought I was the only one for you! Don't do this to me... I thought we had a good thing going." Sighing, Remus half raised his hand in a mimic of Sirius' gesticulation and, as he had promised himself earlier, rolled his eyes. "Oh, Merlin, yes, Sirius, but my heart speaks otherwise, of things I cannot ignore - I know it is like ice being on fire, but I must listen to what my heart tells me." He grinned lazily. Remus had said it with half the dramatics and less than half the volume compared to Sirius, obviously. When he was done, Remus turned to the teapot nearby and got himself a cup of brown joy.
Sirius belched audibly and Remus pulled a face. "Honestly, Sirius.." he muttered, though he doubted his friend had heard him. Remus shook his head to himself for a moment and scanned the table for milk and sugar for his tea before he realised Sirius was talking to him again - whoops. He wasn't very focused this morning and Remus could guess why. "Just don't try too hard. Girls don't like goody-two-shoes that try too hard. It's why James will never get with Evans." Remus was rather glad James gave no reaction. He was rather sensitive about that sort of thing. "If you come on too strong, she'll run. Make sure you don't act all Remusy and be too nice. She'll start seeing you as her best girl friend or something." Remus frowned. "But I am nice, it's.. I just am." He was confused now. "Why.. should you not be nice to girls? I mean.. isn't that the point of trying to get them to like you?" This was getting more confusing by the second and Remus sighed a little. He had planned something nice for the afternoon - was he to call that off now? He didn't feel like doing so..
"Never ever call it a date. Then they get attached. I mean, if you're looking to be her boyfriend for some strange reason, then I guess you've got it right. I just don't understand why you'd want to." Remus shrugged to himself. "I just do." He decided it was probably best to say nothing more, or Sirius would give him more confusing advice he was not longing to hear. He was just going to go with his initial plan (well, not plan, it wasn't like an evil master plan or anything, but he had something planned) and if that went all pear shaped, he might consider going with Sirius' advice. "Just wait until the nagging starts, and the 'you're not doing enough' talks. Women. Maybe I had it right earlier by pretending you were mine." Somehow, Remus couldn't imagine Annelise nagging. He had heard Sirius' girls nagging, often, to him, because Sirius had been hiding and Remus could be pathetically hard to find (considering he was supposed to be a stealthy predator). Annelise wasn't like those girls. Well.. personality-wise, anyway. Her looks did seem like something Sirius would appreciate. And indeed: "The only way I'll be jealous if I hear her voice in the dormitory later." Remus almost choked on his tea. "Well, Sirius, you won't - so don't worry." As said before.. he wasn't going to defile her at once!

Sirius was admittedly a little disappointed by Remus' less-than-enthusiastic reply to Sirius' ramblings. However, he had to remind himself that Remus was not James. He believed that if he was to get down on one knee to James, that James would probably go along with it and just burst out in tears in front of the whole school dramatically. Remus on the other hand, not so much. Although he did play along with it somewhat, which was better than what Peter would probably ever do, in his opinion. He could imagine Peter just getting very embarassed, and tell him to stop.
"Oh, you break my heart. Just to be off with some wench you just met. How could you?" Sirius couldn't give up on the melodramatics, although he did lower his voice somewhat. He probably still wasn't quite as quiet as his friend would have preferred, but Sirius didn't do things mainly because his friends wanted him to. "Maybe Skeetbag had some things right about you," he added, jokingly, although he realized a little too late that Remus probably wouldn't appreciate the humour in it. Sirius had a hard time forgetting sometimes that Remus wasn't James; not to mention that most of the time, words just completley spilled from his mouth unintentionally.
He listened to Remus ramble about how he was truly a nice guy, to which Sirius replied, "Well, I've never had to be particularly nice to get girls to like me." He sat there and thought for a minute. It was true. It wasn't like Sirius was a jerk to them when he was trying to get with them, but at the same time many girls he had never even spoke to before seemed to like him. "Unless you're saying 'flirting' means 'being nice'. It's just... if you're too nice, girls get bored, think you're a pushover." Sirius stuffed a sausage in his mouth quickly, and within seconds he was finished eating it. The more he talked, the hungrier he felt. "I'm not telling you to call Annelise fat or ugly or anything, just if you're too persistant to open every door, or just be too nice, she'll probably get bored."
Sirius didn't truly know, but it was what him and girls talked about before he managed to get with them. Yes, he went through the motions of pretending to be interested in what a girl was saying. Most of them seemed to tell him why they liked him. Many said because he was unpredictable. "Oh, and be spontaneous, that's always good, too. But you never know, I could be wrong too."
He shrugged in a way that implied that he didn't believe whatsoever he was wrong. He had no idea how many messages he was throwing at Remus, mainly because he was hardly even listening to himself talk. Word Count: 500

When it came to playing along with Sirius' dramatic antics, Remus was, indeed, not quite the person. James was Sirius' man, in that respect, but Remus (although an actor virtually all his life) did, indeed, not like the attention, and found it unnecessary dramatics most of the time (though usually also somewhat amusing). "Oh, you break my heart. Just to be off with some wench you just met. How could you?" Remus chuckled softly and thought about making a half-hearted attempt to answer Sirius 'in character', before just commenting dryly: "Well, Sirius, I found out that not only are you not Annelise, you're also not a woman." He finished the last of his tea. "I'm straight." Damn hell he is! "Maybe Skeetbag had some things right about you." Remus sighed and rolled his eyes, though couldn't suppress the grin creeping into his features. True, maybe he wouldn't have smiled about such a comment normally, but he was in a good mood today and, surely, Sirius was his friend, he didn't mean the comment to be hurtful. "Oh, yes," Remus couldn't refrain from rolling his eyes again. "I'm such a tragically, scarred, little heart breaker. I just love making people cry by snogging them senseless, leaving them gasping due to all that experience I have, and then I enjoy leaving them pining after me. Of course." He half grinned, shaking his head at Sirius. "In case you didn't hear - that was sarcasm, just to be sure," he added. You never knew.
He chuckled heartily as Sirius disagreed, saying he never had to be nice to girls to get a snog out of it. "Of course you don't - you're wickedly handsome. I'm not, I'm like the Hunchback of the Notre Dame, I have to be nice to make girls even remotely interested, you see? I need to compensate." Remus nodded sagely. "It's just... if you're too nice, girls get bored, think you're a pushover." Remus pulled a face at Sirius' eating habits again and shrugged a little. "I'm not telling you to call Annelise fat or ugly or anything, just if you're too persistant to open every door, or just be too nice, she'll probably get bored." Remus hummed lowly, pensive. Part of him thought it sounded logical, another part of him thought it would be rather silly to behave like something he was not. "Advice duly noted, Sirius," he said with a slight smile. "We'll see how it goes." He shrugged, again, as though it was no big deal. Think again! Remus had never had a date before so he was more than a little nervous. After all, this wasn't a test you could study for, he had no idea what to expect, so he had just fallen back on Sirius' advice of 'don't think too much'. Remus would just.. see what happened and go with it, he was a quick thinking, he could improvise. Right?
"Oh, and be spontaneous, that's always good, too. But you never know, I could be wrong too." Remus laughed a little nervously. "Sirius.. you cannot plan being spontaneous - that's the whole point of being spontaneous." He exhaled slowly. "We'll just.. have to see what happens," Remus concluded with a bit of a shrug.
