Waldemar half played with his empty bowl and spoon, smiling as they talked. It was surely nice to get to know people - at least when they had personalities like Dorcas, anyway. He could understand that she'd given him a nickname, after all, his name was pretty foreign. He'd never thought he'd be accepting a nickname like that (Wally? Of all things?) but was surprised to find he didn't feel so much ridiculed, it was more like it was their personal inside joke, and that felt nice.
"No! It doesn't sound like a stuffed animal! Though you do look a bit like one . . . a deformed one though because you're not all hairy like stuffed animals are. You're a monstrosity of a stuffed Animal. You're a Wally-Monster! Half man, half bear, half stuffed!" Waldemar laughed softly, ignoring the fact he was, apparently, 150% something, and then grinned at Dorcas. "Well, I'll just take that as a compliment, then, shall I?"
He couldn't help but feel the tiniest bit disappointed when she announced she would be going soon, but then her words made him remember he also had homework to catch up with.
"Oh, sure, no problem - I have lots of things to catch up with, as well, so.." Waldemar smiled and nodded enthusiastically (so much that part of him wondering if he hadn't reacted too eager). "Yeah, I'd like that. I mean.. I had the formal sort of tour, a very brief one, but it's so large here.." He didn't finish his sentence and shrugged.
"Oh! And I can also give you the low down on all the Professors, like which ones are nice and which ones to steer clear of if you can, and the same with students, not all of them are as nice as me sadly." He laughed softly. "Yes, yes, you do that." He got up, gathering his books and papers, asking Dorcas in the mean time: "So when shall we meet? At lunch? Here?" He knew he sounded over-enthusiastic, but he was rather glad at having made a friend, and she hadn't even made fun of his name!
