January 1976
Well what a first month back after holidays! I thought everyone would be a little down, missing the Christmas spirit and all, but boy oh boy was I wrong! The castle has been back to it's usual active self with bits and pieces going on left right and center! Of course, there was one major thing that I really do have to report on, the scuff in the great hall, or should I say scuffs! It was certainly an interesting start to the new year, lets hope things improve in a good way for the rest of the coming year, now, let's start with all that commotion that was going on in the great hall.
If it's not one thing at the Slytherin table, it's another. Mister Tall-And-Handsome Caradoc Dearborn, Ravenclaw sixth year, sat himself down at the Slytherin table, flirting wildly with miss Tanith Malfoy, Slytherin fifth year and rumour has it's not the first time this muggle lover (Malfoy) has been spotted playing around with her 'brotherly figure' Caradoc. Numerous times they've spotted chatting and 'having a good time' through out the castle, Hogsmeade and the Quidditch Pitch in particular. Come on now Miss Malfoy, just when are you going to admit to Dearborn you have the hots for him?
Now, not one to be out shone by anyone, Mister Adrian Nott, Slytherin seventh year clearly felt exceedingly threatened by Dearborn's good looks and charming nature, so much so that he started a fight with the handsome half-blood for no reason what so ever, other than sitting at the wrong table. No that hardly seems fair to this even minded reporter, after all, don't we all swap and change to chat with our friends and classmates from other houses?
Now, that was only a back drama to the real show that was going on. Once again the self proclaimed Marauders were making quite the scene, James Potter, Gryffindor fifth year, disrupting a peaceful Severus Snape, Slytherin fifth year, and then Potter's best friend, Sirius Black, also Gryffindor fifth year, had the audacity to throw a bowl of mashed potato at the back of Snape's head. Gryffindor's fighting dirty? It certainly seemed so, but have no fear, Snape got his brief revenge, hanging Black up by his ankles.
If you are having troubles with bullies, the Professor's assure me that you should inform them as soon as possible so that the trouble can be dealt with appropriately. Bullying will not be tolerated, apparently, though I don't see Dumbledore or any of the other professor's doing a lot to help out poor Severus Snape who seems to forever be at the brunt of the Marauder's troublesome schemes and pranks. It hardly seems fair half the time, though who knows, perhaps Snape deserves some of what he gets? Perhaps the Marauders deserve a taste of their own medicine? Who's to judge really?
Lets move on. Caradoc Dearborn and Tanith Malfoy weren't the only odd couple to be spotted on the Quidditch Pitch, Ella Thomas, Slytherin seventh year, was spotted being given some advice from well known womaniser Gabriel Dasoni, sixth year Gryffindor and captain of the Gryffindor quidditch team. The pair seemed to hit it off quite well, practicing with one another, How will Adrian Nott take the news of one of his players practicing with the opposition? Lets hope at least one of them came away able to note the oppositions weak points.
Yet another odd couple on the Quidditch pitch (seems to be the place for the world of odd coupledom) was Amos Diggory, Hufflepuff seventh year and Alecto Carrow, Slytherin seventh year. Not a lot of Quidditch was practice but there was definitely plenty of flirting and sexual innuendo's flying around. New couple of the year? Maybe! But maybe nott, Alecto Carrow was also spotted with infamous womaniser Sirius Black. Keep your eyes open for this harlot she moves on quick, and so does Sirius as he was also spotted with Miss Narcissa Black, Slytherin fifth year and his cousin. Incest? Possibly, Sirius' parents were cousins too, is he going to follow in the family tradition and marry his cousin? If so, he's picked the right one, narcissa is the more delicate of the three Black sisters, but maybe more likely to get her heart broken, who knows, only time will tell.
Now, if only this couple were to stick. The most adorable pairing I have seen in a very long time. Miss Tanith Malfoy and Mister Regulus Black, Slytherin fourth year. The most amazingly gorgeous couple you could ever imagine ladies and gentlemen, just a shame Malfoy is so caught up on Dearborn as previously mentioned above.
Well my lovelies, I really should start winding this page up. I hope Finola Kafka, Ravenclaw sixth year enjoyed her date into Hogsmeade with the new boy George Järvinen, Ravenclaw seventh year.
Until next month lovies,
