[Warning, a lot of rambling in this post xD Nessa's being silly xD]
They'd just been on their first 'official' date in Hogsmeade and were walking home, side by side. Nessa had enjoyed herself immensely and had the feeling Amos was certainly feeling the same. All in all, it had been a very pleasant evening. Admittedly, it had only been dinner, and it had been nothing super fancy or anything, but it had certainly been good enough for Nessa. The food had been nice, the bottle of wine they'd gotten rid of had been especially nice, but in her opinion Amos had been nicest of all, really. She felt right when she was with him, she felt appreciated without being below or above him in any way, and that felt good. She liked the way he treated her, and the more she got to know him, the more she realised there was more to him than she'd thought at first. Nessa had even started to feel - well, dare I admit it? - some very real butterflies in her stomach and that was, admittedly, the only thing that scared her just a tad. Was Amos interested in a (long term) relationship?
These were the things on her mind as she walked back towards Hogwards with him, arm in arm, and she pretended it didn't bother her too much. After all, it had been a nice night, even the clouds had cleared up making way for a rather astonishing sunset, and she didn't want to ruin it by being like a soap opera woman making a problem out of a small detail. They'd had a fun night, they felt good together, she could at least enjoy the now, couldn't she, without thinking about the future too much? Nessa sighed, but sighed happily. No, she wasn't sure if Amos wanted that sort of commitment. She was actually rather surprised he was interested in her for this period of time, and she guessed it would be best to just enjoy the time they had now.
Slightly grinning, she turned towards Amos, eyes twinkling playfully. "I really enjoyed myself tonight." It was obvious, and she knew, but she just wanted him to know.

Amos Diggory had been on a lot of dates in his time, and he could safely say that this particularly night with Nessa was at least among the top five. It had been their first 'official' date so to speak but Amos was immensely grateful for the 'practice' dates that had preceeded it. It meant that by the time they'd had dinner and the bottle of wine this evening most of Amos' nasty nerves had almost completely dissapeared. He was no longer (for the most part) stressing about whether Nessa actually liked him, or whether he looked like a complete berk. Now that he was convinced Nessa was a nice girl, more than a nice girl in fact, Amos could relax and be himself, content that his stresses had subsided to the much more pleasant feeling of butterflies in the stomach.
Being less nervous meant that he had really enjoyed actually getting to know Nessa more. It seemed that the more he found out about the redhead the more intrigued he was by her, and the more time he wanted to spend with her. Oddly enough, she made Amos feel so relaxed that he wasn't even worried about whether or not their dates would become an actual long-term relationship. All he knew so far was that he really liked Nessa, and he was kicking himself for never taking the time to notice her until the middle of their seventh year. He wanted to tell Nessa this, in fact, as they walked through the cobblestoned streets after dinner. It seemed the perfect end to the date, like in one of those cheesy romantic novels with the sunset and the warm fuzzy feeling in Amos' stomach when he looked at Nessa, and also from the wine. But as ever Nessa surprised him and got in before, and Amos was instead left grinning back at his date rather stupidly.
"Me too" Amos agreed, hoping that Nessa would appreciate his emphatic agreement because he was too relaxed to come up with any witty retorts. "It was nice. Wish we didn't have to go back to the castle so soon" He shrugged, mirroring Nessa's wistful sigh as he looked up to the castle in the distance. Usually, this would be the time when Amos turned on the charm and the cheesy lines to get his date to 'continue the fun' in his dormitory, but although Amos wanted to get Nessa back for said fun, very much in fact, he was worried she'd see through the cheesy lines. Plus, their dormitories were right next to each other, so inviting her back might sound stupid. Amos rolled back on his heels watching the castle thoughtfully and trying to dispel the return of the dreaded nerves. The end of a date was never this tricky, but then again, he liked Nessa a lot more than his usual dates already.
[sorry it's late.. and kinda crap ]

Nessa would have argued about the correct way to describe Amos' grin, and 'stupid' would not have been her word of choice, really. She smiled wider when he agreed with her and squeezed his hand slightly."It was nice. Wish we didn't have to go back to the castle so soon." She nodded. "Yeah.." Nessa chuckled slightly. "I wish we could just walk together all night or something, I'm not really in the mood to face a common room full of people now." She half shrugged and grinned a little lopsidedly at Amos. "I guess that would get us in trouble, though."
It was obvious that Nessa didn't want to part with her date for the evening. The atmosphere they seemed to be walking in was calm and pleasant and she feared that that bubble would burst immediately the moment they'd set foot in school again. Besides, if it didn't shatter when they stepped over the Hogwarts' threshold, it surely would once she entered the common room. It was a Saturday evening, after all, and Hufflepuffs were known to be sociable - it would be full of people, and Nessa's friends would swarm about her, Amos' friends would probably try to hear him out (she guessed, she didn't really know) and then it would all be gone. No, Nessa would very much like to postpone that moment as long as possible.

Amos wasn't really the type of person that appreciated the romance in walking around Hogsmeade all night, usually. Once after a lock-in in a pub 'round the corner from where he and Nessa stood right now, Amos had been particularly worse for wear and resorted to a groping session in an alleyway, but it wasn't as good as he had hoped. The cobblestones were uncomfortable and his arse was freezing the whole time. But perhaps it stood for how much he liked Nessa that a midnight stroll in the village (which in March was still bloody freezing) with her seemed tolerable, nice even. He could particularly appreciate how pretty Nessa's fiery hair looked as the moonlight hit it, which made his stomach twist pleasantly. He supposed that on his previous er.. midnight strolls with ladies in Hogsmeade, he had been too inebriated to notice these details, or perhaps they weren't as nice as Nessa to walk with. As though considering this activity, Amos swung his arms by his side, strolling a little more aimlessly up the deserted street whilst holding-hands with Nessa.
"I wouldn't mind walking all night with you" Amos mused aloud, adding with a mischievious smirk "And I've never been one to worry much about getting into trouble.."
Or perhaps the midnight stroll idea seemed so appealing was that Nessa seemed to mirror Amos' thoughts about facing their housemates in the common room. Many of Amos' friends, and he supposed many of Nessa's too, because news spread fast if nothing else, knew that tonight was their first official date. That meant that as soon as they reached the Common Room they would most likely be pounced on by their respective mates, demanding how the date went, and in the case of Amos' friends, how far things got. Frowning, Amos furrowed his eyebrows in thought, trying both to concoct a solution to the dilemma and hopefully look impressive and quick-thinking to his date in the process.
They needed somewhere they wouldn't be bothered for a start, which would still be romantic, but also somewhere that wasn't bloody freezing. And for once since Amos had started to fancy Nessa, his past experience came in handy for once. "The prefects quarters!" He grinned, rifling in his pockets for the keys for said quarters. Nobody in their right mind would have made Amos a prefect, but his room-mate Nige (who was a bit of a stiff) was and one of the perks of the job was that Nigel (and consequently his room-mates) had a private study next to the dormitories that was kept locked, and supposedly only used for prefect 'duties'. Amos and the other boys each copied a key and used the room for dates and drinking sessions, as wellas those prefect duties, obviously. Amos finally located the key and grinned shrugging a little at Nessa and trying not to look too excited at the prospect of finally being on their own. "I mean, it's okay if you don't want to it's just - it's nice in there and we'd be left alone"

Nessa had never considered herself a romantic person, either. She had always considered herself to be a girl who knew what she wanted, a girl who was social, but also a no-nonsense type of person. Apparently, she didn't know herself that well, as at the moment, she was very much not the girl she'd expected herself to be. Not that she was an entirely different person - she still very much felt like Nessa Laurentius - but she was reacting to Amos in ways she hadn't expected to ever be possible. She had always thought the was rather independent, but at the moment, she couldn't help but admit she was at least feeling a little dependent on Amos. She didn't need him physically (as in, she could walk herself home), but more in a mental way. The idea of these pleasant dates ending made her stomach twist in an uncomfortable way. She liked Amos and as long as that would be the case (she had no idea how long), she wasn't planning on letting him go, even if that meant altering some of her previous points of view.
"I wouldn't mind walking all night with you. And I've never been one to worry much about getting into trouble.." She laughed softly, flattered. "So I've heard. I've never been in trouble much - and as you're the authority: do you think I should get into trouble more often?" Nessa teased softly, grinning to herself. Oh, she wanted to get in trouble with him. Very much, actually, even if the thought of getting in that sort of trouble with Amos made feel nervous deep down somewhere in her tummy. She glanced at her companion and mirrored his frown slightly. Was he disappointed about something? Should she have said something different? No, he didn't seem to be particularly disappointed - more thoughtful. For a moment, Nessa was a little disappointed she could not read minds.
"The prefects quarters!" Nessa blinked a little dumbly, as it took a few seconds before she made the link to their previous dilemma. Her eyes lit up in understanding, and then she frowned again. "But.. you're not a prefect? That's Nigel and Monoceros, right?" Or was she mistaken? What did it matter, anyway? The prefects' quarters seemed more than fine to her, even if she had no idea what would be in there, because she'd never been there before. "I mean, it's okay if you don't want to it's just - it's nice in there and we'd be left alone." She laughed. "It sounds very good, actually. I'll just try not to think of what you might have done to get that key," she teased, if only to masque the slight bundle of nerves in her stomach that seemed to expand at the idea of spending the rest of the evening in private.

"...Do you think I should get into trouble more often then?" Amos felt his lips twitch into a mischievious smirk, using a tried and tested "flirtation 101" line, even though he had tried to steer clear of clichés with Nessa so far. "Well, only if it's with me."
Nessa acting coy and teasing him, albeit the teasing was fleeting and playful, was something new to Amos. Not that he hadn't been flirted with and teased by girls before but he hadn't seen that side of Nessa quite yet. Admittedly things had got a little heated at the Valentine's Day Ball, and Amos had begun to tentatively hope that Nessa was one of those legendary quiet girls that were freaks in the bedroom. He hoped that the new teasing was another sign of good things to come. Although, Amos quickly scolded himself, Nessa might not be interested in being a 'freak in the bedroom' with him tonight at all, she might just genuinely want to spend time with him in the Prefects quarters..? Or, just be teasing him. The 'all teasing no pleasing' approach was a distinct possibility judging on his previous experience with girls. But then again, Nessa wasn't like other girls, that was what attracted Amos to her in the first place.
The possibility of sex, slim as it may have been, had sent Amos teetering on the edge of his previous nervous uncertainty, and he quickly mentally shook himself, telling himself to relax. Smiling what he hoped was coyly in response to Nessa's querie about his rights to the Prefect's keys, Amos shrugged and held out his hand for the redhead to take as he started to make his way back up to the school, more eagerly than before. "Well.. technically yes. But Nige lets us er - hang out there. He's a generous bloke like that" Well yes, technically that was true. Nigel was generous, and Amos liked him, but he was also teased mercilessly by his room-mates into doing things like lending out the prohibited Prefect's keys. But Nessa didn't know that.
It felt much easier again, to be with Nessa now as they made their way up to the school. Now that they had a purpose, a place to be alone and somewhere reasonably romantic (at a stretch, but finding romantic places at Hogwarts was difficult), it was actually quite pleasant. He even managed not to panic at Nessa's light joke about how Amos' got the keys, which was a definite improvement on his usual nerves. Instead, swinging their hands slightly Amos attempted to smirk again in what he hoped was a charming way. "Well I can be very persuasive when I want to be" It wasn't until they were close to the castle that Amos regretted that joke just a little. It sounded cool and flirtatious, right? He hoped it didn't make him sound like a sex offender at least.

Nessa blushed slightly (but grinned) as Amos smirked. He was quite handsome, she didn't understand how she'd found him an idiot before. "Well, only if it's with me." Nessa laughed softly. "Can't imagine who else should I get in trouble with," she said, laughing softly still. No, Nessa very very much monogamous. She liked this playfulness, this pushing of boundaries, and trying to cross limits she'd never crossed before. It was endearing, exciting, extraordinary - a lot of e-words, anyway. Nessa sort of liked it, and she trusted Amos enough to give it a shot. The 'preview' at the Valentine's Day Ball had left her curious and more interested in Amos than she'd been before. Not that she was shallow, and that a good snogging session had changed her mind - it had been the entire evening. The way they'd laughed and danced and kissed and had a great time. What she liked most was that Amos was attentive without being overprotecting or something like it.
As for being a 'freak in the bedroom' - Nessa had no idea, she was a virgin, after all. But she was comfortable with him, had had a bit of wine, and was quite curious about new things. Who knew what might happen? I think Amos needn't worry. "Well.. technically yes. But Nige lets us er - hang out there. He's a generous bloke like that." Nessa half-grinned. "I guess he is, huh?" She knew Nigel, not intimately, but she knew him, and he was a nice bloke - it sounded plausible. The school was coming back into sight again and though Nessa hadn't wanted to go near it before, she was now longing to get there even faster. Privacy with Amos sounded like the best prospect of the entire evening, and now the privacy was basically a fact.. well.. A room was way better than the chilly night air, still.
Amos did, indeed, smirk quite charming, and Nessa felt her own lips respond and mimic the smile instantly. "Well I can be very persuasive when I want to be." She laughed softly and squeezed his hand, reaching up to peck his cheek (well, because they were walking it ended up near his jawline, but still). "Don't worry, I don't need any more persuading," she half-joked, blushing rather obviously, but hoping the dusk would hide it. What she'd said had required just a little more bravery than she'd had to say it with a straight face, but it was true - throughout the weeks she'd really come to realise how much she actually liked him.

"Don't worry, I don't need any more persuading" Amos smiled at Nessa, certain that she had meant the half-joke to be significant. If he wasn't sure, the kiss to his jawline reassured him a lot. He felt himself relax considerably. Not that he had been nervous, but he had been ever so slightly worried that he was forcing or persuading Nessa into something she didn't want to do or wasn't ready for. After all, it was him who had ordered the bottle of wine at dinner, and it was him who had suggested Nige's prefect quarters. At first, Amos was confident that it all seemed as romantic and well intended as he had meant it but the closer he and Nessa got to the Hufflepuff quarters the more he began to worry. But as ever, Nessa had calmed him down without even knowing he had been worried or anxious in the first place. He smiled with a sudden rush of affection for her and managed to plant a soft kiss at her forehead when he connected with his jawline. His jaw tingled pleasantly until they reached the basements were the Hufflepuff lived.
"Well, er, here we go then!" Amos smiled and attempted to open the lock with his hands behind his back, so he could remain looking at Nessa when they went in. That way it would be romantic and charismatic. It took a lot of fumbling though, and when he finally opened the door the room didn't look as romantic as Amos had intended. Quite clearly Nigel had extended his 'generosity' to Ed Stenwick and the other boys in the dormitory for a little party, because there were beer bottles strewn all over the sofas and party streamers littered the bed and small study desk. "Merlin's sake.." Amos grumbled under his breath, shrugging at Nessa apologetically and gathering up the party debris quickly, momentarily forgetting the wand in the backpocket of his jeans. "There, that's much better" Amos shrugged off his jacket and kicked off his shoes, warming his extremities by the small fireplace near the study desk. Actually, now that the room was tidied, with the fire and the comfy, albeit battered sofa and bed, it could be seen as romantic Amos supposed. It was the most romantic place they were going to get at Hogwarts.
"At least it's private" He mused aloud, turning back to Nessa. He hadn't forgotten about her while he warmed his hands by the fire or tidied up, but had been trying to watch her out of the corner of his eye. He wanted her to be impressed. They hadn't even done anything yet, and he wanted to impress her. Mind you, Amos added mentally, they might not be here to do anything at all. Then again, she said she didn't need any more persuading... Amos mentally shook himself again before falling into another black hole of confusion. The wine and the walk from Hogsmeade had made his legs freezing and tired, but he didn't want to sit down on the bed. It was clearly the place he wanted to sit with Nessa, or lie with Nessa in fact, but it might seem presumptuous. Perhaps she wanted to sit on the sofa, or at the desk? Amos watched her face to see if he could read any possible sitting locations there, but he couldn't. He did notice again, how pretty she was, though. Her face was pinched from the cold outside, and slightly pink, and beside her thick red hair she looked picturesque. Amos forgot about the sitting confusion for a second, and smoothed a stray strand of hair from her cold face. And kissed her, because that seemed the most simple and appealing thing to do.

Nessa felt her stomach do somersaults when Amos smiled at her. She was slightly nervous, but also excited, and the way he smiled at her both made her feel more at ease, but also a lot more nervous, as she wasn't sure what was to come. She was quite determined to go through with it (whatever 'it' might be), but she was also quite sure that she'd hand the reigns to Amos. Nessa had no experience in anything 'after-date' as the first 'real' date she'd had before (with Jacob) had ended mid-date due to drunkenness of the boy in question. Amos, she knew, had more experience when it came to this sort of thing, and she wasn't afraid to let him lead, even if she had been a little independent at first. Nessa still knew when she didn't like something and had enough guts to say no when she felt like it. Not that she expected she felt like saying it, but still..
"Well, er, here we go then!" Nessa laughed softly as she walked in with Amos, not so bothered by the state of the quarters (really, if those boys hung out here often, what else could she have expected?) and she also thought it was touching that Amos was trying to clean up as well as he could just because she was here. She smiled and sat down in front of the fire cross-legged, glad for the warmth, as it had been chilly outside, indeed. "There, that's much better." Nessa looked up at Amos and smiled as she watched him get rid of his jacket and shoes. She guessed it was a good idea to get rid of her coat and taking off her shoes sounded like a good idea too - she had worn high heels especially for the occasion (attempting to be a little more feminine) and her feet felt like they could do without the shoes for a bit.
She got up and took off her coat and shoes, draping her jacket over a nearby chair. "At least it's private." Nessa smiled fondly. She was quite fine with the location - it was private and they were both there with no expectations of others intervening. Ideal in Nessa's eyes. For a moment, she was at a loss. Now what? Amos seemed a quicker thinker than her, luckily, and kissed her, which was absolutely the best place to start, in Nessa's eyes. They'd kissed and touched a bit before, she was familiar with that, and she'd just see where they'd go from there. Smiling into the kiss, she gathered a bit of the liquid courage she'd drank earlier and ran her hands through his hair as she pulled him closer and deepened the kiss. Couldn't hurt to show her enthusiasm.

Amos was beginning to relax properly and enjoy himself now. It was probably something to do with the combination of the warm room, the semi-romantic fire in the grate and the wine that they'd shared at dinner. Plus now they were both warmed up. He watched Nessa kick off her heels and remove her coat and couldn't help but smile a little. Amos definitely had a soft spot for girls inheels. It just seemed to make their legs go on for miles and miles, Nessa included. Not that her legs weren't nice without them although, in fact without the shoes and the coat there was a lot more skin on show, which Amos definitely wasn't going to complain about.
He was exceedingly glad that Nessa responded to their kiss so enthusiastically. It seemed like a great idea atthe time, something to kill the small awkward pause that had stretched out between them, but Amos couldn't help but worry that Nessa might think he was jumping the gun a little, moving too fast. Granted, it was only snogging, and it was hard to be in a nice cosy room with a pretty girl and all the glow of the fireplace, and not want to snog. But she had responded thankfully, and with vigour. Amos grinned into the kiss, pushing himself closer to Nessa as she ran her hands through his hair. He shivered involuntarily and deepened their kiss again, doubly enthusiastic. It was hard not to get too enthusiastic in fact. Nessa had never really kissed him like this before. Yes, admittedly they had been closer than usual at the Ball but it was awkward to try to have a nice Valentines Day groping session at a table in the Great Hall with everyone watching.
Besides, he had been a bit too tipsy then to enjoy it properly. Now, the wine they had shared served as liquid courage for Amos aswell as Nessa. It was a bit awkward trying to kiss properly standing up, so Amos attempted to guide Nessa towards the sofa by one hand, trying not to break their kiss as he went. It wasn't too presumptuous Amos hoped. It wasn't the bed after all. Usually he had no problem with being presumptuous if the girl showed even the slightest hint of being up for it, but he didn't want to chance his arm with Nessa. It felt.. more important somehow. He really liked her, and he didn't want some stupid attempt for a quickie to mess it up.

Nessa was feeling more at ease now that they were kissing. She was actually feeling really good, not just at ease - this was what she'd been looking forward to and anticipating during their dinner, the aftermath. She admittedly felt a little shallow for thinking like that, but well.. after all the things she'd heard about Amos, she was a little curious - only human, right? She had been a little hesitant to initiate anything, unsure where to start, so she was glad that Amos had taken the first step - they could go from there and with the liquid courage in her veins, Nessa hoped she wouldn't completely freeze and that she'd even be brave enough to take some initiative herself in a minute or so. Just.. not yet, not quite yet. Nessa was a little too nervous, still, but she was very glad Amos didn't seem to mind, and just continued to take initiative. She willingly moved to the sofa when he led her there, not really thinking about if he was jumping the gun or not - Nessa didn't care much. If this was just going to be snogging, it was fine and fun, if it was going to be more, it was just as fine, really. After all, she was pretty much an adult now, she could decide what to do with her own life, couldn't she? And Nessa felt comfortable with Amos, actually. She felt she'd be mad to stop the moment they were sharing now - she wanted to make the most of it and more.
She leaned back into the sofa and pulled Amos closer, glad for the fact she was sitting comfortably, but she wasn't in the mood to sit away any farther from Amos in favour of sitting comfortably. Nessa wanted him close, he felt terribly good close. Shifting on the couch, she moved to dangle one leg off the sofa, the other curled underneath her as she sat, one of her hands resting on Amos' back just above the waistband (not quite brave enough to dip it lower, and not sure whether he would like her doing so), the other at the back of his neck slightly tangled in his hair and pulling him closer. In Nessa's mind, it was all rather erotic, really, while she probably was a little clumsy and hesitant.

Amos breathed a sigh of relief into the kiss as Nessa willingly let him guide them towards the sofa, taking this as evidence that he was not, in fact, jumping the gun. In fact, it seemed that Nessa was not only letting herself be 'led on' so to speak, but she was actually reciprocating, she was pulling him closer! Amos felt his lips twitch slightly as her movements made him smile into their kiss. It was always good that girls were eager, in his experience, of course. But there were the types that liked to feel needed, that liked the boy to do all the convincing to coerce them into a good snogging session, and sometimes usually more. Normally, Amos didn't mind that, because with either approach the outcome was generally the same. But with Nessa it was different. Amos knew that at the slightest hint that Nessa was reluctant or unsure about anything they were doing he would back off instantly. Sure, he was often the atypical 'hot-blooded male' but that didn't mean he didn't want to look like a perfect gentleman and a nice guy to the girl he liked, a lot.
Fortunately though, Amos didn't need to worry about being the perfect gentleman right now, because Nessa appeared to be enjoying their kissing session very much, although probably not as much as Amos. Snogging Nessa now was so much better than when they had kissed after dinner, or even at the ball. Without a table between them, or the watchful eyes of teachers, Amos felt almost unbearably close to Nessa. As she leaned back into the sofa and deepened their kiss Amos shifted his weight, so he could lean against her on the sofa without crushing her under his weight. Because they were so close, and because it felt so new and different, Amos would probably have agreed had he known Nessa thought the situation was erotic. Although they weren't doing anything but kissing right now, all Amos' senses seemed heightened, and everything felt better, be it the smell of Nessa's hair, or the feel of her hand lingering teasingly just above his waistband.
Trying to capitalise on the moment of nicely-erotic-snogging Amos replaced his own hands from where they were lolling uselessly on the sofa. Nessa's hand in his hair had tangled, making the hairs on the back of his neck stand up as he stifled a groan against her lips, so intending to return the favour he let one of his own hands graze the back of her neck gently, his fingers lightly tousling her hair. The other hand Amos snaked ever so slightly between them to rub across Nessa's stomach and (just once or twice, so that if she objected he could protest was accidental) across her breasts over her clothes. The kissing was getting, at least for Amos, slightly heated now, so he broke away less than an inch from Nessa's lips to mumble breathlessly at her. "You know, we can stop if - I mean, if you don't want to do anything" Still wanting to look the gentleman of course, but perhaps jumping the gun again. After all as of yet they were just snogging, although Amos was hoping to himself for more, but the combination of erotic clumsy touching was doing strange things to Amos' usual 'potential-sex-demeanor'.

Nessa couldn't imagine why she had never done this before. This was really very pleasant, and that was the understatement of the century. She made a soft, pleased sound into the kiss as Amos moved closer to her on the sofa. Somehow, Nessa had always imagined that a position as this was probably suffocating, and that girls put up with it for the sake of having a boyfriend, but - as usual when it came to matters like these - she had been wrong. Very wrong. Being so close was more than nice and only made her want to pull Amos even closer, even if that was barely possible.
Their kiss had been slower and testing the waters at first, but when she felt Amos' hand brush the back of her neck, Nessa moved to arch against him a little, trying to put more passion into the kiss. For a brief moment, it flashed through Nessa's mind that she had no idea how to make a kiss more passionate, but she ignored the thought instantly. She didn't care, she was enjoying herself and she was going to make the most of this moment, not second guess herself. As Amos' hands started to roam a little, she allowed herself to do the same, running her hands over his back, sides, and occasionally over his chest, but never below the waistband - not just yet. She was just starting to gather some more courage when Amos pulled back. "You know, we can stop if - I mean, if you don't want to do anything."
Nessa blushed rather deeply, but still shook her head and pecked his lips. "I do want it." She was surprised by how her voice sounded - a little hoarse, but somehow so sure and steady while her insides felt like the complete opposite. Nessa was sure that if it had been physically possible, she might just have melted at Amos' touches. It was so sweet of him to consider her feelings. Nessa smiled up at the boy slightly before pulling him into a kiss again.

Looking at a typical athletic but slightly dimwitted guy like Amos, you could be forgiven for thinking he was not someone who read subtleties well, but this was a misconception. Amos was actually very good at reading body language, expression. It came in as a very handy skill on the Quidditch pitch, allowing him to see other players weaknesses and adjust strategy accordingly. It also came in extremely handy with the ladies. Most of the time, it meant that Amos knew the right thing to say, the right thing to do, at least, he thought so - none of them had complained so far.
From Nessa's body language, the way she pressed against himwhen they kissed and the slight hesitation, Amos guessed that she was feeling the same as him - eager but nervous. But despite the educated guess, Amos was grateful when Nessa told him, in no uncertain terms, that she wanted this too. He felt as though this was the one occasion when acting on his 'educated guesses' wouldn't be enough. As much as Amos wanted to have sex with Nessa (there, he'd said it, or thought it, finally) it wasn't as important to him as making sure Nessa was ready, and wanted it too. Which was a new thing for Amos, sex had never meant much to him before, despite the obvious fun.
But from the sound of Nessa's voice she was definitely okay with it, more than okay. He had never heard he speak like that before, husky and ... Un-Nessa-like. Not that Amos had any problem with the new development. He smirked down at Nessa as she pulled him into a kiss, still looking slightly dazed. This time Amos closed the tentative space that had been between them, pressing into their kiss until he felt the friction of Nessa's hips against his own. He shivered involuntarily at the contact, taking the plunge as it were to finally move his hand from where it had been stroking Nessa's stomach to gently move over her breasts (over bra just now, of course). Amos broke their kiss reluctantly, intead moving to trace kisses along the Hufflepuff girl's jawline and then hesitantly against her neck.
Not that he liked to brag or anything (he did) but necking was one of Amos Diggory's specialities.

Amos was guessing very, very right. Nessa was excited about all this, but it partly just scared her out of her wits. She'd never done this before and now she as about to do it with a boy which she really, really liked, but also didn't know very well. Then again - you're only young once, better enjoy it while it lasts. I like irony, can you tell? Nessa felt her nerves melt away when Amos smiled at her and kissed her back. She was doing okay, then? To be honest, Amos had quite a reputation and although Nessa had always told herself that she didn't care what others thought, she did care about what Amos thought, actually.
She gasped slightly as Amos closed the space between them. It was an unfamiliar sensation, but therefore all the more interesting and exciting and new. As Amos started touching her in a decidedly more sensual way (sexual seemed so vulgar?), she gathered all her courage to try and relieve him off his shirt. Nessa had never seen Amos without a shirt before, but from measuring him for his clothes last christmas, she sort of knew what to expect. Before she had any chance of enjoying that view, though, Amos surprised her by moving his lips to her neck. Nessa could feel herself blush as a soft sound of approval escaped her and she held him a bit closer, her hands on his bare chest but definitely not pushing him off.
[Sorry it's short, I had to push Nessa XD She likes her privacy, but I insist she plays this, lol]
