He was afraid she'd laugh at him? Why on earth would he think that? Alice had never been the type to laugh at anyone. On occasion Dorcas, but that was far beside the point. "I'd love to walk with you.." Letting him take her hand, Alice fell silent for a while. An unatural task all in itself. Alice had a habit of not using a filter on things that came out of her mouth. It was a little funny to her because Frank seemed to filter so much that it all came out in nervous rambles. Like he had no controle of when... just what. And when something had to be said... he simply stumbled over what it was he wanted to get out. It was a bizzarly adorable quality to her.
Something was suddenly dawning on her now. He was FRANK LONGBOTTOM. THE Frank Longbottom. It was as if she'd finnally come off all the adrenaline and was only now realizing what was going on. Poor little Alice was so over come with shock that she very nearly tripped over her own feet into the dirt. Holding his hand a little tighter she composed herself. Alice was never one to have inner monologues. So no pep talk was going on at that time. Though the more she tried to get her head straight, the more she sort of wished she was that sort of person.
"I wouldn't have laughed." He didn't want to talk about that... and now knowing that he could have asked her out ages ago and missed all those oportunities most likely didn't make him feel very good. "Not that you shouldn't have waited. Its sort of romantic really. All those passing times giving detentions. But not the time in the broom closet.... Or the time that Honking Dafodil caught a cold and sneezed all over me." she remembered well the nasty green goo that came from that filthy thing. Herbology, like, arithmancy, was not one of her favorite subjects. "Those would have been awfull times to ask me.... or possibly the best... not really sure....Ehhh...."
She looked up at him and searched for a different topic. Come on... come on... Nothing. She couldn't think of anythign else to say. So, Alice simply stared up at him waiting for him to change the subject. Smiling awkwardly, Alice shrugged her shoulders a little and just chuckled.
