September 2nd, 1997. This day marks the beginning of Ron, Harry, and Hermione's seventh year at Hogwarts; School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
The death of Dumbledore left many unanswered questions to more than just Harry himself.. However it seemed as though Harry was the only one that was truly effected by the sudden and devastating death of his great mentor. Having only so many Horcruxes found, Harry quietly decides to part on from his friends and seek out the last remaining Horcruxes before Voldemort gets to him first. With both the wizarding and muggle world at great danger, Harry can't afford to loose more than he already has. For people to die for his sake. Done with this burdening his friends, Harry now sets out away from Hogwarts, leaving Ron and Hermione behind.
Meanwhile, upon waiting for Harry to join them, Both Ron and Hermione stare in fascination at the scene that was found before themselves and the rest of the student body. Today was proof that nowhere was safe for, two of the most devilish wizards stared back at the ginger and the know-it-all. With satisfied sneers upon their cold faces, Severus Snape stood behind the Headmasters podium while the one and only Lucius Malfoy, the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, sat casually at the staff table.
While it had been rumored that Voldemort was going to launch an attack on half-bloods and munggle born witches and wizards, never did anyone believe it would start from within the school itself. With her now clammy hands trembling, Hermione swallowed hard as her eyes locked with Snape's first and then unwillingly with the pale eyes of Lucius Malfoy.
With the two slowly realizing the madness about to ensue, both Ron and Hermione must face Lucius and Snape alone while Harry ventures forth to destroy every last horcrux until he and Voldemort inevitably come face to face. Will Hermione survive under constant surveillance of Malfoy senior? Will Voldemort over power Harry? Will the students once more rise up on their own terms and take matters into their own hands?These are dark times my friend. Neither can live while the other survives.
