What can be found in a name:
Saige Xenia Diamond Logan
When the day I was born:
DOB 31/Dec/1960
The Angels screamed:
Rupert & Merope Logan
And Hell shut its doors:
Alice Logan
While creatures retreated:
A tabby cat named, Charm and a barn owl named, Jet.
To depths unknown:
Pure-Blood
I hide from them:
Her dormitory, Gryffindor common room late at night when no one else is up. ,
Be who they want to see:
The youngest Logan sister takes after their father, Rupert in appearance. Her hair a dark chocolate brown. At times, can appear midnight black. Especially, when it's wet or the sun allows her hair to have a more dark tint to it. She walks with the gracefulness of a ballerina not with an air of superiority though, but with a light-hearted air. Saige is not tall by any means. She stands three inches shorter than Alice at 5'3, not quite tall for a young woman of fifteen, yet this doesn't seem to bother her in the slightest. Saige is slender and has a small frame. Her grandmother on her father's side swears Saige doesn't eat enough, but in fact, that isn't the case. The girl has a very large appetite, but also a very high metabolism which makes it appear as though Saige is under weight for her age. A heart shaped face that always boasts a sweet yet shy smile. Saige has stunning blue eyes an attribute that most seem to like most about the girl's appearance and one that leads to envy in most of the girl's in her fifth year. Her eyes are a light almost liquid sky blue. Neither of her parents have blue eyes nor do her grandparents so, the Logan's think Saige must have inherited them from one of her great-great grandparents, recessively. If it weren't for the fact that Saige takes after her father in appearance
But that leaves no one:
To discover that inside:
Saige, at times, can be the polar opposite of her older sister. Reserved, yet composed. Sweet and compassionate though Saige can have a stubborn streak. Saige also tends to get quite angry when upset. Though, she looks like she couldn't harm a fly the fifteen year old could hex anyone whom irked her faster than one could say Qudditch. Saige tends to be a loner, at times. Though, she prefers the company of her friends. She likes solitude. Not one to open up to people right away. Save the exception of Alice and those that she knows really well. Intelligent and witty, Saige can also be fiesty. When something's on her mind a good majority of the time she's going to tell you about it. Though, there are parts of herself that no one knows about Saige. She lacks self-esteem and self-confidence. Tends to be a prefectionist because she's terrified of failure. Saige feels that she dulls in comparison in almost every aspect to Alice. Especially, beauty though. She finds that Alice is very beautiful and that is why Frank Longbottom fancies her so much, but Saige feels that she, herself isn't very pretty because blokes don't take notice of her, at least that is what she feels. Saige tends to be a leader more than a follower, but she's too afraid to lead so normally she tends to be submissive and a follower. Though, she can stand on her own two feet. Saige is in the awkward stage of her life where she's trying to discover exactly who she is. Though, she and her sister are close, at times, she feels they are drifting apart. Like they were closer when they were younger, but aren't as close as they once were. As if the two year age gap between them is having an effect on their bond. Saige also feels as though she's probably just paranoid.
This soulless being:
- Charms, Transfiguration, Astronomy, and Muggle Studies.
- Reading; The Bronte Sisters and Jane Austen are her favorites.
- Chocolate frogs and Sugar quills
- Qudditch
- Joking around and on occasion pulling a prank or two. Saige has a knack for getting into and out of trouble easily.
Is just as lost:
- Divination
- Most Slytherins
- Ridiculous amounts of homework
- When Qudditch is cancelled
- Small enclosed spaces (she's claustrophic)
As everyone else:
- Charms and Transfiguration
- Not afraid to speak her mind
- Is good at putting on this "I'm a prefectionist" facade
- Good at keeping calm in the most stressful of situations (like Logan family gatherings those are never pleasent)
- Amicable and good at befriending people. Even though, Saige is nowhere near being a social butterfly.
In a world that knows only hate:
- Lying. Saige can't lie. In fact, she's attempted before, but she's a horrid liar and quite frankly, prefers to tell the truth.
- Potions and Defense Aganist the Dark Arts
- Blokes. She's horrid when talking to blokes especially one's she fancies she tends to get very shy and quiet and blush way too often.
- Loosing up. She tends to stress herself out (mostly over school) way too often.
- Coming out of her shell. Saige is very introverted.
And causes pain for the soulless like me:
Feels over-shadowed by her older sister, Alice
Feels as though she's not good enough in her parent's eyes and often times as though she doesn't belong.
No one in her family is aware she's a part-time prankster.
They left me to die:
Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins most of the them having the surname Ellis or were once formerly an Ellis - maiden name.
On a bed of roses:
Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins most of them having the surname Logan or maiden name Logan.
Blood seeping through:
The clash between family sides: Betrayed alliances. [Which is why family reunions or either non-exsistant any longer or a nightmare if they occur.]
The satin sheets of fame:
Being that the Logan's are a pure-blooded family that being said, they are fairly well-off.
What a bitter story of love:
History - in depth
Born to Rupert and Merope Logan on December 31st, 1960. Saige was bestowed with two middle names. The first reason being Rupert and Merope couldn't make up their minds and the second being a two year old Alice liked the name Diamond at the time. So, the youngest Logan's name was settled upon.
Saige Xenia Diamond Logan.
Growing up, Saige led a charmed lifestyle being a pure-blooded witch in this society had it's perks, yet it had it's downfalls like when mother always insisted that her and her eldest sister act like prefectly brought up young ladies. All the time. Saige couldn't stand having to walk a certain way and behave a certain way in the presence of company. Dinner parties were a bore and the dresses she had always been forced to wear where either as ugly as Salazar or uncomfortable. This being the reason why Saige began to develop a bit of a rebellious streak when she entered her first year at Hogwarts and how she got herself interested in pulling pranks.
That being said, Saige didn't mind her childhood. She's spend hours upon hours in her father's study reading books with Alice. The two girls would also play outside with one another. Alice's favorite season was winter, but Saige detested the cold and was more of a spring lover. Saige when she was younger followed Alice around like a puppy. Affectionally, calling Alice, Ali because at the age of two. Saige couldn't correctly pronouce her sisters name. Old habits die hard and to this day, Saige is the only one that Alice will tolerate calling her that nickname.
Saige used to be close with her father, but never with her mother. Her mother is too over-bearing and ever since her father had made the inclination of arranged marriage to Saige (only due to Merope's insistance that he hint it to the youngest.) Saige hasn't spoken to Rupert since. Though, the Logan's are tolerant of all blood-lines they still keep with old pure-blood traditions this is something Saige abhors. She wants to find love. Her parents loved one another this is probably the reason her mother's family severed almost all ties with her (save the children) her grandparents on her maternal side adore them this is probably because they want to brainwash them. Saige feels.
Saige feels lost and often confused. Unaware of who she is. In a desperate attempt to find herself. She buries herself in her studies. Attempts to give Alice advice on Frank Longbottom because it makes herself feel better because she's fully aware that no one fancies her and that the person she fancies most likely doesn't feel the same way that she feels towards him. Eventually, Saige will either find her niche or perhaps, she will fall into the wrong cword of wizards. The fifteen year old's life, it seems, is currently at a crossroads between adolescence and adult-hood. Love and hatred. Good and evil. She has not a clue which path to take.
"Alice," Saige exclaimed. "Have you seen my skirt?" The fifteen year old looked frantically through her trunk. "I'm going to be late for Charms!" she exclaimed.
"Just burrow one of mine," Alice retorted. "Why'd you have to drag me all the way up to your dorm for this?"
"You're older and wiser and better at finding articles of clothing," Saige pointed out. "Besides, I've never lost anything before!"
Alice snorted, "Well, Saige..." she laughed, until Saige threw her a dark gaze in her direction. "You do realize that now, you're already a bit late for your class?" She pointed up to the clock that was mounted up on her younger sister's dormitory wall.
"Merlin," Saige fumed. Grabbing her books, she raced out of her dorm. Brushing past Alce as she did so. In a hurry, she raced down the corridors and almost tripped past an unsuspecting first year trying to get to Charms.
"Ms. Logan," Professor Flitwick greeted. "Better late than never,"
Saige blushed. She watched as all heads seemed to turn their gaze on her. Then without a warning, Saige saw him. Now, she wished that the ground could swallow her whole.
She walked over to her seat in the back. Wanting to disappear.
