What can be found in a name:
Cassian Siv Siedel
When the day I was born:
1/1/1960
The Angels screamed:
Veronika and Leon Siedel
And Hell shut its doors:
None
While creatures retreated:
A raven named Odin
To depths unknown:
Muggle-born
I hide from them:
Astronomy Tower, Library, and the Quidditch Field
Be who they want to see:
Cassian’s parents used to call him their little porcelain angel, and they weren’t too far off. His skin’s smooth and pale, save the rose colored cheeks. His eyelashes are long, and his eyes are dark enough to look black even though they’re actually brown. His hair’s a dark brown, just like his parents’, and to top it off – he’s short. If he didn’t feel like he looked like such a girl, he probably wouldn’t wear a perpetual frown. Then again, he’s not a very happy teenager. What a shocker. He likes to wear long-sleeved sweatshirts, mostly because they make his shoulders look broader. He doesn’t like wearing his school uniform very much. His parents would coo over him when he first got it and they’d tell him how cute he looked. Plus, having the innocent school-boy look reminds him too much of church scandals. He spends a lot of his time in high places, and the wind gives his hair that tussled look and it makes his cheeks rosier, and his skin paler. It’s not much of a surprise to find a stray feather in his pocket or in his hair. His favorite color is blue, which is probably why he wears it so much. And why he was half-hoping to get sorted into Ravenclaw, which he thankfully did.
But that leaves no one:
To discover that inside:
Cassian’s a regular moody teenager. Well, aside from the fact that he can use magic. He’s incredibly bright, if not just as lazy. He likes learning a myriad of things and occasionally he’ll spend his time in a library absorbing books upon books. More than having his nose in a book, he likes to be in high places. Towers, on a broom, anywhere where he feels like he can fly. He’s only serious during a Quidditch match or an exam, only if he feels like it’s an actual challenge. Most professors like him because he’s bright and not much of a trouble-maker. He’s non-confrontational and if someone picks on him, he’ll normally head the other way before it escalates into something physical. He’s an accomplished speed walker. Other than that, he spends his days lying around and day-dreaming or going through things he already knows. Cassian has a fierce dislike for women. He finds them vile and heartless after his mother walked out on his family during his first year at Hogwarts. She was driven by greed, and he couldn’t really blame her, but he hated seeing his father heartbroken. He started thinking that all women do those things to men – it would explain all the sad drinking songs he’d heard and learned. Since then, he’s handled any female like a wild beast. He could smile at them, even be kind, but he’d never trust them. Ultimately, he’s just an oddball and he has very few friends at school.
This soulless being:
Cassian likes:
[/li][li]the color blue
[/li][li]the smell of the library
[/li][li]people who aren’t incompetent
[/li][li]coo coo clocks
Is just as lost:
Cassian hates:
[/li][li]cocky people
[/li][li]snow
[/li][li]running out of ink
[/li][li]women
[/li][li]medicine
As everyone else:
Cassian’s good at:
[/li][li]flying
[/li][li]talking his way out of things
[/li][li]baking
[/li][li]strategizing
[/li][li]divination
In a world that knows only hate:
Cassian’s not too great with:
[/li][li]socializing
[/li][li]physical fights
[/li][li]making up things
[/li][li]defensive spells
[/li][li]transfiguration
And causes pain for the soulless like me:
Cassian’s been studying animagi, he wants to be able to permanently change into something that can fly.
If he ever sees his mother again, he fully plans on killing her with one of the Unforgivables.

They left me to die:
Veronika Siedel – Mother – Abandoned him
On a bed of roses:
Leon Siedel – Father – Raises him
Blood seeping through:
His parents are siblings.
The satin sheets of fame:
Well-Off
What a bitter story of love:
Cassian’s history is a bitter one, but it never hit him until he was admitted into Hogwarts: School of Witchraft and Wizardry. His parents are brother and sister, born into a family of bluebloods. When their parents caught them in bed together, they were thrown out of the house, but they’d planned ahead. Leon, Cassian’s father, was already a doctor, and a good one at that. He managed to keep it out of the public eye that he was married to his own sister. Leon and Veronika were thrilled when Cassian was born, if not worried about how he would turn out. Cassian never took much notice to how much his parents looked alike until his mother started losing her mind when she miscarried before his first year of school. She would wander down the halls of their manor, holding her stomach and blankly staring ahead of her. Cassian caught her mumbling about ‘bad blood’ and ‘abominations’.
Stuck in the house for most of the day, Cassian watched his mother descend into madness. It began with paranoia, and she would accuse Leon of cheating on her. When Cassian got his letter, she was admitted into a hospital. Both of his parents were Muggles, and could only imagine a world where witchcraft and wizardry existed. When Cassian came home for the holidays during his first year, his mother left England to return to her home country, Germany. As she was walking out, she looked at Cassian with disgust, and called him an inbred piece of garbage. His father finally told him the truth, and how Veronika had been in touch with their parents. If she disowned Cassian and left her husband, they’d let her back into the family- which meant the fame and money that came with it.
Leon’s work slowly declined until he stopped leaving the house entirely. He had money to spare though, and Cassian and his father haven’t worried much about money – although they did let go of all the help and they moved into a smaller house in the country, closer to Hogwarts.
Thunder shook the glass on his table and Cassian looked out the library window. For the first time in his life, Cassian understood why they said that clouds rolled in. The black and gray clouds were churning in the sky over the castle and he shuddered. Even though he was nearly positive that this Dark Lord couldn’t control the weather, the storm was sitting uneasily in his gut.
A part of him felt like it was a sign. Either of what was, or what was coming
He heard shuffling and looked behind him. Several Slytherins were huddled together as they walked, keeping their heads down. One of them looked at him and glared before returning to his conversation, jerking his hands around in an agitated manner. Cassian shook his head and tried to focus on his book.
