What can be found in a name:
Ziva Celina Kaligaris
When the day I was born:
5th July 1945 (30 Years Old)
The Angels screamed:
Carlisle Isaac Kaligaris [67, Father, Pureblood]
Alessandra Caterina Kaligaris (née Zanipolo) [65, Mother, Pureblood]
And Hell shut its doors:
Altair Judas Iscariot [45, Half Brother, Pureblood]
Lysander Kristof Iscariot [42, Half Brother, Pureblood]
Isaac Xylon Kaligaris [34, Brother]
Jasper Alexei Kaligaris [30, Twin Brother]
While creatures retreated:
Small Black Owl named Achilles
To depths unknown:
Pureblood
I hide from them:
Ziva prefers to hang out in the privacy of her own home but will abandon the place for the likes of Knockturn Alley and local cemetaries.
Be who they want to see:
Ziva can appear to be a rather good looking woman when she actually tries to stand out but when she is blending into the crowd she looks nothing out of the ordinary, nothing special. She has deep brown hair that sits just below her shoulders (sometimes longer depending on if she has had it cut) and dark, almost sinister looking, brown eyes that appear to go black when she is extremely angry. She has a light complexion (that some people believe comes from her being a vampire, but as she isn't one they are just unfounded rumours) and a slender frame that makes it easy to slip around unnnoticed through a crowd. She has curves in all the right places (because her pride wouldn't allow anything else) though she is rather on the short side, standing at only 5'5" tall, something she hates more than anything. She is known for constantly wearing her hair down though she does pull it back tightly for tasks such as potion making. She wears glasses when reading and writing and sometimes forgets to take them off, walking around with them on all day but it doesn't bother her because people know better than to comment.
She always wears a silver heart-shaped locket that her father brought for her, the first piece of jewellry that she ever owned. She hasn't taken it off since she got it when she turned five. Ziva can always be found in early victorian style dresses (complete with corset style tops) and flowing robes (all of wizarding design, naturally), occasionally resorting to pants and shirts when required, though she prefers to avoid them unless necissary, claiming them to be "too muggle". When going out to functions, however, Ziva is known to wear some of the finest wizarding dresses that are made, given her family's high social standing (though this is moreso in the Greek and Australian wizarding sectors as oppose to the English sector as her family moved to the country as oppose to being born there). On her left ring finger is a gothic styled engagement ring that Ziva is never seen without, the band itself is a platinum and silver blend and the design on top is embedded with jewels [click here]
But that leaves no one:
To discover that inside:
Ziva Kaligaris is what you would call a typical stuck up pureblood. She believes in the pureblood superiority that has been spoken of in her family since before her grandfather Kristos Kaligaris was born and she is not afriad to show anyone that she does believe it. Ziva is the type of person who is very private. If she doens't want you to know something about her and her personal life then you will have a hard time trying to discover things (though it is possible if you know where to look or understand how to read certain signs that she cannot hide easily). Ziva is ambitious and cunning, once she has her mind set on something she will strive to achieve it no matter who stands in her way, if she has to strike someone down to reach her goals she will not hesitate. Despite this fact, however, Ziva is generally not a violent person when she remains unprevoked. Most times she appears to be a calm, compassionate and gentle woman (to the untrained eye) but those who know her well, and some who don't, know that she can be cold and cruel to her enemies. When she is angered she is like a volcano exploding and has been known to make threats on people's lives or cause minor injuries. It is thought that this volcanic temper, something that leads her to speak before thinking, comes from her grandfather, Kristos or his father, Kostas, but its not certain.
Ziva can be a manipulative person and has a way of talking her way out of situations, a talent she has perfected over the years. Being the youngest of the Iscariot-Kaligaris clan (even if it is only by 6 minutes) means she has often gotten her own way, sometimes more than her siblings, and she has become accustom to this attention. Ziva is an attention seeker and she likes to be in the spotlight. Some would call her spoilt but she likes to think that she is merely well off. Ziva has been known to attempt to manipulate others into doing what she wants. With her kind and rather sweet appearance many are fooled by the personality that lies underneath. Despite the many rumours that circulate, however, Ziva has never resorted to any sexual innuendos in order to get what she wants, she has much more class than that and rather values her life.
Behind this confident, cold and collected exterior, however, Ziva hides most of her fears and weaknesses, some that even her family have never been priviliged enough to hear from her own mouth, having to discover for themselves. Ziva's biggest fear (and her biggest weakness because facing this fear makes her freeze) is small and confined spaces. Ziva is claustrophobic and she tries her hardest to hide it but at times people have been close enough to her to notice it. The problem? It doesn't only rear its head when she is in a closed in room but also when she is in the confined space of a large crowd, which makes it extremely difficult to walk through places like Diagon Alley and Knockturn Alley at the height of the day when there are so many shoppers around.

Blood seeping through:
Andreus Kaligaris stole a fair amount of the family's fortune before running away with his halfblood american-born bride. The family hide this well as most of their wealth is no longer kept in money but rather assets.
The satin sheets of fame:
The Kaligaris family was originally rather rich. Andreus Kaligaris stole a fair amount of money from his father and the family before he ran away to marry American-born Nikita French. While this did not leave them completely broke it has diminished the amount of money the Kaligaris family has to the point they are not uber rich. They, like the Zanipolo side of the family, are still extremely well off though.
What a bitter story of love:
Ziva was born Ziva Celina Kaligaris, the only daughter of Alessandra Zanipolo and her second husband Carlisle Kaligaris. She is the youngest child with two half brothers (Altair Iscariot [45] and Lysander Iscariot [42]) on her mothers side and two full brothers (Isaac Kaligaris [34] and Jasper Kaligaris [30]). Despite the fact that the family has always been close and her father, Carlisle, accepting of his wife's children from a former marriage, Ziva has always remained closest to Jasper, her twin brother (who is older than her by approximately 6 minutes and loves to Lord it over her as much as possible, though its just playful banter). As a young child Ziva could often be seen tagging behind her father or paternal grandfather because she never really liked her mother nor got along with the woman. This tended to make her mother jealous and eventually she started ignoring her only daughter, which suited Ziva fine. When Ziva was 2 years old the entire Kaligaris-Zanipolo family (including grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, cousins, etc) relocated from Australia (where the Greek and Italian sides of the family had settled many years before) and moved to England, ready to start fresh and wipe their hands of the blood traitors in their family that they had left behind.
Ziva was five when she showed her first sign of magic. She had been reprimanded for something that she hadn't done because her brother, Lysander, had told her mother (he hated the fact that Carlisle had always paid more attention to his children and not his step-sons and would go out of his way to get Isaac, Jasper and Ziva in trouble). It was no secret to any member of the family that Alessandra Kaligaris was the iron hand of the family and the one who dealt with the punishments. Thoroughly pissed off, for a five year old, she blew up her mother's favourite antique vase, that she had recieved from Ziva's maternal grandmother (Silvana Zanipolo). The vase had been shattered to the point that it was irrepairable and Ziva's punishment was merely increased. Years later she would try to replicate the damage she had done but it would prove impossible. Ziva rebelled at a very young age, and did anything she could to irritate her mother. Although to her face she was a respectful child, behind her back she did whatever she pleased and her brother, Jasper, went along for the ride, allowing his sister to corrupt him.
Ziva tormented the house elves, pushed expensive pots over and blamed it on her older brothers (minus Jasper) and the cat, and quite liked covering said cat in ink when the animal was too weak to fight back. Naturally, her mother punished her, though nothing seemed to be working. She never yielded to their threats, or spankings. By this point Jasper would stand alongside and watch, giving ideas where he saw fit but allowing Ziva to carry out the plans for she was the only one who was not afraid of their mother as the woman truely petrified him. When she was 11 she received her letter to Hogwarts School of Magic. When she arrived she was no match for the school at all, especially with her brother as the brains behind the operation, and, within her first year, she was suspended at least twice. Her mother did not know what to do with her. As she got older the rebelling for the sake of rebelling calmed down slightly, though that did not, stop her from going through boyfriends the same way she went through underwear. Ziva was always careful, however, never letting things get too far. She would toy with the boys then throw them aside, never allowing the situation to get further than heated kisses in the common room or abandoned classrooms. She did have class after all.
On the topic of boys, Ziva liked what she could do with them, and how they could make her feel good about herself and the way she looked, even without the sexual componant of the relationship, if it could be called that. Boyfriends were never really her style, but if she needed to, she would string some along just for the benefits she would reap from them. It wasn't until her fifth year that she began to calm down. By the middle of fifth year she had stopped playing around with people and began to take schooling and relationships seriously, therefore scoring well on her O.W.Ls (with more than just a little help from her, rather studious, brother) and creating a few friendships (though they were rather tentative to start with). At the age of 17, in her final year at Hogwarts, she finally got up the courage to befriend her crush of three years, Angelo Rodriguez. Most people were suprised that the Rodriguez heir allowed a friendship with anyone, especially someone who had been losing Slytherin house points for years (given that the boy was, at the time, the self proclaimed Slytherin Prince) but all of their comments fell on deaf ears, so to speak. The pair remained friends for years, keeping in contact even after the two of them left Hogwarts and by the time they were 20 they decided to try their hand at a relationship, Angelo had delved deep into the Dark Arts, which had always held a fascination for him, and had heard rumours of a rising Dark Lord who would purify the wizarding world, information he did not hesitate to share with his friend.
When the rumours of a Dark Lord rising turned to be true Angelo, Ziva and their families did not hesitate to turn as part of the following, believing what had been spouted about purifying the world from the taint of mudbloods and muggles, something that the families had believed in for a long time, but had never had the guts to do anything about lest they risk a stint in Azkaban and, honestly, they were far too high class for that place, even if it was only them who said so. At the tender age of 24 Ziva and Angelo announced that they were expecting their first child (which turned out to be twins) and in May of 1970 (a mere 2 months before Ziva was due to turn 25) twins Lia Aislinn and Lena Cadence Rodriguez were welcomed into the world. On the eve of Ziva's 29th birthday, Angelo proposed in front of her entire family, much to her mother's disgust (but then again not much could please the woman), ensuring that their family would be complete. Carlisle has not stopped asking the pair when they will be trying for his next grandchild but Ziva and Angelo have kept tight lipped on whether or not they are discussing another child or not.
Now it was not just illegal to be entering the depths of Knockturn Alley, anyone caught entering the Alley itself could be arrested on sight and searched to ensure that they were not dark wizards. This did not phase Ziva Kaligaris, however. Ziva strode through the streets her black robe covering the Slytherin green dress that adorned her frame. Even for most it was not wise to enter these parts, but a woman alone was easy prey for some of those that hid under the cloaks in wait. Ziva had never had problems, however, being the daughter of Carlisle Kaligaris and the fiancé of Angelo Rodriguez had its perks when you were in this kind of situation. She sighed to herself, the rhythmic clicking of her heels on the cobblestone road echoed off the walls around her, the grimy windows in the shops she passed making the street look nothing more than abandoned, if you didn't count the beggers that sat on the sidewalks shaking tins and begging for money or selling black market items.
Just as she was approaching her destination, an apothecary that sold only the darkest of potions ingredients (honestly! why did her husband need all these exotic things to play around with anyway) she saw a familiar face and her curiousity peaked once more. She began to quicken her pace just as she saw none other than Tabitha Kaligaris (the daughter of her father's blood traitor brother) entering the apothecary she was headed for and her eyebrow raised slightly. What was the young woman doing in these parts, not to mention the country, last she had heard the traitors had been left in Australia, not permitted to move with the family. No matter the reason, it was not wise for her to be down here, and alone none the less, even Ziva's own brothers hated her being in the alley alone, surely the blood traitor and his halfblood wife would not let their eldest daughter wander into enemy territory without backup. She stopped at the door and pushed it open gently, the bell at the top tinkling lightly to signal that another had entered the store. Waving off the store clerk she decided to do her shopping first, she would not suffer the supposed wrath of her husband for forgetting his precious ingredients, which meant that he would talk her ears off until she agreed never to forget them again. Ziva loved potions, she was even rather good at the subject, but even she could not understand her husband's passion for the Dark Arts potions he was always brewing. She had been in Diagon Alley earlier to pick up the more legal ingredients but there were still a few things that she needed.
"Newts eyes, Rat tails..." "Bat Wings."
She heard the mutter of the young woman as she was picking up a jar of pickled slugs eyes (which in truth looked like nothing more than green goop). She sighed and then moved down the shelf further, grabbing a few more ingredients. Once she was done she headed to the counter just in time to see Talitha leaving the store. She cursed under her breath and told the clerk to owl them to Angelo at their house, ensuring that nothing broke or she would be back to deal with him in the most horrible way possible. The clerk shook slightly as he nodded, not sure what to make of the small 5'5" woman who appeared so authoritive. Throwing the money down on the counter and heading to the door she turned briefly "and if anything is removed you will have to deal with the wrath of my husband" she added as an after thought. This had him positively quaking, Angelo was nasty at the best of times. She smirked, satisfied, and left.
Slipping through the streets she finally caught sight of the young woman once more and fell into step with her "not wise to be around these parts Talitha" she said in a low voice, her tone betraying the niceness of her words and indicating that she was livid "I am sure that Uncle Andreus would have something to say about it, would he not?" she extended the word 'uncle' an added undertone of sarcasm the tell tale sign that she did not think of the man as such "No light wizard ever comes down here, now what business would you have in old Jack's Apothecary eh?" a smirk played on her lips. The young woman finally turned to face her, her eyes going wide, before she bolted in the opposite direction, dropping her shopping to the ground. The jars had obviously been charmed to be unbreakable as none of them smashed. Ziva picked up the bag and examined the contents with curiousity. She shrugged, at least she had scored some free ingredients. As she turned around, ready to leave, she had to take a step back, almost running into someone was not something she enjoyed.
