Swallowing heavily he carefully walked down the path toward Hogsmeade, glad that is was become spring. The crisp air was finally clearing and he could walk around without the heavy cloak. Before he left the school he combed his hair back and made sure he didn't have bags under his eyes. Glad that he was in Gryffindor and had excellent grades, teachers loved him for him, he was a good student. Though like all students he had his ups and downs, his fantastic class, his okay classes and the ones he dreaded going to.
A smile was on his lips as he walked through the dew ridden grass, shoes getting a bit damp he hadn't a care in the world. For once he was all caught up on homework, he had nothing to worry about, except, the whole 'I'm-marked-by-you-know-who-I'm-really-a-bad-person' which by all means wasn't true.
Finally showing up at the Three Broomsticks he opened the door, nodded at a few people and found a quiet booth in a corner by his lonesome. He knew Alice was working today and he was rather excited to see her. The one thing Havok was more excited about, was that she was working during the day shift, and was off within the hour. That means he could talk to her about everything that has happened, what happened with Dim, the whole lot.
She strolled around, keeping to the shadows a bit, and Alice took his order, one stiff Fire Whiskey, it was the way he liked it. Scrunching his nose, he realized she didn't instantly recognize him. Leaning back on the bench he pulled his leather jacket off and laid it next to him.

The pub was busy that day and Alice had been running around all day getting ridiculous rounds of butterbeer for third years. She was quite beginning to learn that she rather hated the younger children. By now her apron had been soaked at least three times and her hair was a mess. She was just glad that she finally got a quiet table. Unfortunately she hadn't really paid much attention to the special customer and suddenly felt bad. She made sure she got his drink first then. Before the screaming children. This was almost over thank goodness. Just a little while longer and she could be out of here for the day. But not really. She didn't have any errands to run and she lived in a flat upstairs.
Stepping out of the kitchen she held the fire whiskey on a little tray as she weaved in and out of the other girls. Maybe she'd just tell madam Rosmerta that she'd work a double if she had to be there any how she may as well be making money so she could afford a better apartment somewhere. Alice had to duck quickly to avoid a flying jinx. The boy was there after swiftly kicked out of the pub with an angry Madam Rosmerta screaming after him.
Approaching the table she had in the back she smiled. "Sorry about the wait. It's a mad-" She blinked a few as she set the glass down on the table. "Oh... Havok!! Are you even old enough to- Oh forget it. I really don't care." She laughed and brushed her hair back. "Can I um... Get you anything else?? It's kind of busy in here so it might be a bit of a wait but..." She chuckled a little and took out a little quill and a note pad.

He smiled as she returned and thanked her in his quiet voice. "Actually could I get a basket of meet you after work?" A nod of the head and he took a drink from the mug. "There is something I need to talk with you about, I can meet you in your apartment or we can go somewhere else. Your choice." It was loud in here but that was tolerable.

Poor sweet Alice very nearly wrote his request down and thought to mention that it wasn't something that was entirely on the menu but she would ask the cook, all before she realized it wasn't an actual order. "Oh, " she laughed and put her paper and quill in her apron before looking around the room and brushing her hair back again. "Well... Um... I'm off in about forty five... I was going to work a double. But... I'd much rather get out of here. You don't mind waiting a while til I finish up??" She looked at him apologetically as a group of fourth years called to her for a refill.

Waiting until she returned from the students who sat around a table, his slate eyes watching her move. Looking up at again he nodded. "I brought a book, but I would like a basket of fish n' chips while I wait. Missed the carriages over here so I hoofed it. Reminds me of the time my father left me in the woods after I failed his training session, but I had to talk to you, it was, or is rather important." Winking at her, he pulled out a muggle book on German Military and turned to his marked page.

She smiled. "One fish and chips. Got it." hurrying away she put the order in and continued her rounds. Bringing his basket to him when it was up, she grinned at him. "Sorry you have to wait." Shrugging a bit she turned away and hurried around over all the tables. The shift went quickly but she kept wondering what he could have possibly wanted to talk to her about. For some reason it made her nervous and jittery. She shouldn't feel that way. She'd known him for ages now and should have been perfectly comfortable with him coming to her to talk about important things.
Once the shift was over and she'd hung her apron up inside the kitchen door, Alice smiled to him from across the room. "Let me just go get a sweater and I'll be right down." Hurrying up the stairs, her brown curls flouncing around behind her, Alice pulled on her sweater and then rushed back down stairs nearly colliding with another waitress. She ducked under her tray in time and smiled as she popped back up and approached Havok at his table. "I'm really sorry you had to wait so long!" she nervously pushed back her hair once again. It was an idol habit.

Cocking his eyebrows he smiled softly again. "Hey, it's okay really. I wouldn't of waited if I didn't want to see you, no need to say you're sorry for something you had no control over. Instead it would be wiser if you said something along the lines of, 'I sympathize with you in your ordeal'. Or something so you're not apologizing, but also giving your condolences." Looking at her oddly, he already paid for his food and he pulled on his leather jacket and eyes scanned the pub before leading her through the door. "I would like to find some place isolated, some place where I can talked to you without being figured out or listened in on." He whispered in her ear quietly and moved down the street of Hogsmeade. "It's a nice day, we should go check out the shrieking shake."

His smarts were showing and it made Alice smile. "I'll remember for next time I'm not exactly sorry." Laughing she followed him out the door and looked around. "Somewhere quiet?? What's so important silly?!" She laughed and peered up the road as it wound around the buildings toward the forest that had all but swallowed the shrieking shack at the end of town. "Isn't that place sort of creepy?" She laughed a little and shrugged. "Sure I'm not scared if you're not scared." She smiled and shoved her hands in her pockets.

Walking along he stuffed his hands into his pockets and smiled. "Nah, I'm not scared of some old house, its been here for as long as I can remember, but it's never really bothered me." Looking around, there was a dead silence that surrounded him. "Alice, we can stop here though, I don't think anyone knows we're here anyway." He was getting awkward on his feet, looking around nervously he sighed and thought carefully.

The air was still crisp and Alice pulled her sweater in close to her thin body. She'd been living off sandwiches from the pub as most of her pay checks went to renting the apartment above. Though she did go back to her parents house occasionally and her mother was always more than happy to feed her. But Alice really didn't mind sandwiches. It got the job done at any rate. When her dear old friend expressed his bravery against the old building, Alice smiled a little. She'd always had a bit of a fondness for the boy but was very good at hiding it.
He was right there weren't a lot of people out today and she nodded as she looked around. There was something different about him as he shifted around "Havok..are..? Are you okay?? You seem off. Are you ill?" Her face grew worried. "Oh Gosh and you're out here in the cold! We should get back inside or something..." He had a pretty decent coat. She liked that coat on him in fact. The scent of the leather drifted to her any time she got too close. It mixed in with his smell and Alice tried to make it a point not to get drunk of his scent.
He didn't seem sick so she just made a strangled little sighing noise and blinked a few times trying not to think about him too much. Alice often let her head get to her but the smell of Old Spice was strong. Swallowing she looked away a little and hid behind a bit of hair that had worked itself free of the little ribbon holding her hair back in a pony tail.
