Arianna had nothing better to do. Her father was sick so her lessons were put off until he got better. She was still looking for her niche in life so what better thing to do than to go bother her little brother. The only problem? Her brother was currently in class. The professors often frowned on her coming into the classroom with her brother unless it was an emergency. She frowned some as she shoved her hands in her pockets. She hung her head down a little as she scuffed her toe on the wet soil. It had been drizzly off and all day giving the world a depressing and damp feel. She pulled her wet hair over her shoulder and murmured. She should probably head inside, go to Ravenclaw's mainroom and dry off, but.. for some reason she had been lured here and she planned on staying.
Arianna found a nice bench to sit at under an overhang. She crossed her legs and leaned back. She put her hands on her stomach and sighed. She looked over where she had just been a few months earlier. It was weird for her. She was so used to going to Hogwarts. She had begun packing her bags when it was time for Caedyn to go back. Her mother had to remind her that she was no longer in school. She had sent her little brother off for his final year with a heavy heart. It was time to grow up, get a real job and move on with her life.
How does one do that? When she had asked her parents how to move on, Arianna got a less than stellar answer. Her father had looked at her, giving a sympathetic smile and told her "It comes with time, Annabelle. No one knows exactly what they're going to do for the rest of their life when they first get out of school. You'll find something.". The problem was, what she had a passion for wasn't exactly something one could do something with. She was a fighter, a duelist. She had been taught by her father for many years. She wanted to teach it, but she knew she was far too inexperienced. She sighed and put her chin on her palms, leaning forward.
There had to be something she could do.
Arianna leaned back and looked at the lawns. She sighed and imagined what she'd do if she were to teach such a class, though one didn't really exist for what she wanted. "How to beat the shit out of people who piss you off." Not exactly parent-approved curriculum. She ran her fingers through her hair and sighed. This wasn't the life for her. She wanted to do something interesting, something fun. Something she would feel proud of doing at the end of the day.
But what the hell was that?
Arianna shook her head and stood once more. She began wandering again, looking for something interesting, someone she knew. Anything at this point. She shoved her hands in her pockets and sighed softly. Her thoughts wandered from one problem in her life to another until it stopped once again. In school, she had been so dedicated to being the best student, the best prefect then the best Head Girl, she hadn't cultivated much of a social life and therefore no love life. She had had her share of boyfriends and experiences, but nothing solid. Nothing she could build on. She didn't want to get married. She was far too young for that right now. No, she wanted something stable, a friends with benefits, a lover, a significant other.
Arianna paused, wondering how she had gotten to be so love-crazy. Maybe it was because she saw how happy her parents were. Maybe it was because she watched others around her being so happy. Maybe she was just being a fickle girl. She was betting on the later. That's the way she was sometimes. She stretched forward before looking around. She realized she had been pacing in circles looking quite like a madwoman. She wondered how many teachers had been alerted to her presence. She blushed and coughed. She moved to sit down once again on the bench she had been at before.
"Way to look like a freak, Arianna." She grumbled to herself as she pulled her feet from the drizzle and sighed. She put her chin on her knees and tried to look as small as possible. Maybe she could pass as a gargoyle or something.
