DON'T THINK I KNOW HOW TO GO SLOW ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ The Hogwarts was something impressive. The great French castle was the pinnacle of the surrounding land. Standing on the great balcony which overlooked the front entrance, lit by gas lamps lining a reflecting pool was the stoic figure that was David Vincent Val‘Lauren. A home of such fashion suited him. The great reflecting pool and home serving as the crown jewel on the hundreds of surrounding acres. The “visits” to the place were enjoyed by David, who despite all difficulties, felt quite at ease with the blanketed world spread before him. He thought of the turmoil inside the castle. Many slytherins had been in varying states of preparation or separate departures: He to some hovel in the mountains with a woman of scandal; she to the sea where the salty air and his good fortune would afford her ample luxury with which to dry her tears. They had moved frantically through the castle, magically avoiding each other and thoroughly disturbing everyone else.
David’s afternoon was spent avoiding the professors as well, preferring to walk over the snow-covered grounds. He had as politely as possible declined invitation from both parties to come along for travels. In David’s opinion, they were little more than common whores. Of his principles, there was one which always applied: David did not bed cheap women or drink cheap wine.
Some of the older students were a different case. It was not until several nights before, when with breath perfumed by alcohol, that one had made her affections known. During a particular dance, the woman had leaned into him, jewels glistening and eyes clouded with drink. She had made her interest in engaging in her own affair known to him. At another time, in another set of circumstances, he would have considered, but politely declined on the pretense of her drunkenness. Such an impropriety of bedding a future wife of a friend and colleague would not stand. The haze of alcohol left her unphased as he had instead introduced her to other guest who may have proven themselves more interested in fulfilling her desires. Narrowly, he avoided yet another unsolicited advance as she had been preparing the kitchen staff for her departure and was instead offered the use of their home in the absence of its owners with its children on hand to serve as minor hosts and entertainment.
David had ended his meal quietly before stepping from his chambers to explore the rest of the house and come to a final stop overlooking the great grounds. Finally, feeling the uncomfortable chill of winter through the fine fabric of his suit, he turned to the castle, stepping quickly inside the second story hall, dimly lit by candles. IT was late in the evening. The help were quietly excusing themselves for the night and David regarded the passing handmaid with a dip of his head and a somewhat reproachful gaze. He wondered if amongst themselves the help speculated about eh nature of their master’s behavior and business.
As he made his way down the great wide hall, the soles of his custom-made Italian leather shoes clicked down the hall in soft, even tones. Swiftly, he rounded the corner leading to the slytherin common room were kind enough to provide. To his surprise, he was met by the figure of a promising female, who looked to him with interest and stood poised outside the door. Even in the dim light of the corridor she had a glowing presence about her and in spite of all recent thoughts to the contrary, he found himself all the more entranced. “Good evening,” his voice was stiff and yet somehow uneven; a trait which indicated nervousness that he had carried since his very young youth. A part of him detested the beautiful woman before him for the subliminal hold she had on him. No sign of this disdain was present as his face shifted into as smirk of surprise to her presence. ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ TAG: Any female, just one mind you LYRICS: ‘Secret’ - Maroon 5 WORDS: 756 words NOTES: And we begin… [/blockquote]

Stifling a bored yawn with one hand, Christina dotted the last 'i' of her Charms paper. The professor had bought the date forward, and being most unlike a Ravenclaw she hadn't done it yet. Then again, she wasn't exactly the stereotypical goodie-two-shoes. Anything for a bit of trouble. Only blood-lines stopped her from being a Slytherin. Laying her quill down and quietly asking one of her friends to take her things up to their dormitory whenever they decided to go up there she stood up swiftly, heading for the door. There was nothing like a walk to clear your head.
She slid out into the narrow hallway, and immediatly headed for the stairs, it was the only option being in the Ravenclaw tower. When Christina had first set foot in Hogwarts it had been easy to meander the school at night, but since the uprise of the darker forces security had tightened, but she knew these halls and corridors well enough to evade the teachers and ghosts. It wasn't too late after all, most people were in their common rooms yes, but there were a few people still wandering about, or kicked out the libary by the charming Madam Pince or finishing a very late dinner in the Great Hall.
So far she had met no one, but this evening she had a desire to try down where the dungeons were, the Slytherin common room was around there somewhere, and seeing as most of her friends were Slytherin it seemed like a good idea. Finishing the last step on the tower she moved with a fluid cat-like grace, her features too sharpened to be simply a student out for a stroll. Down the Great Staircase she went, shrugging her ebony robes about her a little more, the vast chasms in the school made it quite a chilly place even on the hottest of days.
There was a full moon, illuminating her doll features and turned her already pale skin completely alabaster. This contrasted with the clear ice blue eyes, and of course the long waves of flaming auburn tresses; there was no wonder why Christina was brimming with confidence. Her shoes made a 'pitter-patter' across the stone floors, but otherwise she was silent. She half halted for one brief moment, thinking that there was something that moved in the corners, but on seeing nothing she continued through to the main hall. Everything was still here, the jewels of Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald and Topaz were stationary. Flame torches flickered on the walls leading down to the dungeons, and this was the path she took.
Surprisingly she met no one. Slytherin students were notorious for sneaking out at night and for this reason ghosts and professors loved to patrol the passage to try and catch students out. She rounded the corner, her eye wandering to the common room but it would be useless to try and get in, nor did it look like anyone was coming out. Her jaw stuck out ever so slightly in fustration and she folded her arms, deciding what to do next. Did she wait here, in the hope someone would come out, or go somewhere else? She thought back to the warmth and comfort of Ravenclaw Tower, surrounded by friends - not as the same high calibre as her Slytherin chums but still friends all the same. Christina lingered for a little longer, then with a small irritated sigh decided to give up.
As if fate decided to ironically answer her someone came down the steps, she could hear the tap-tapping of their shoes. Christina turned slowly, deciding to conveniantly hover by the common room portal, if it were a teacher she could just blag her way out of it; say someone was coming to give her something or things along those lines. Teachers loved her work, just not her rebellious streak. She smoothed her face over into a somewhat neutral expression, her eyes fixated on the corner at which any point now the owner of the shoes would appear.
When the Slytherin did turn the corner, first she felt relief, then extreme interest. He had handsome features, obviously there was money from the quality of his shoes but there was the air about him that suggested he might be trouble. Everything that she liked in a man. Her face adopted a cat like smirk. "Good evening." The way he said it was unexpected, in a shy sort of way but Christina was not interested in finer points as this. Evening to you too." She said, taking her weight off the wall. Don't worry, I wasn't trying to get into your common room, Mr-?" She said with a low chuckle. She knew most of the pure bloods, but names sometimes escaped her. She settled into a more relaxed stance. This was turning into a much more interesting evening.

Looking at the female his listened to her talk. Laughing lightly at it he noticed who it was, Christian Kafka, a ravenclaw female he had yet to "talk" to even once yet but he had had a conversation or two. Using his charming looks and voice.
"There is no need to be worried about me reporting you." He pointed toward his prefect badge smiling lightly,"But if you need something from one of us just tell me and I can probably arrange it for a...price of course. I'm sure you can arrange to meet it."
Saying the password in french he smiled lightly and waited for the female to walk into the common room He then spoke lightly,"Tell me you forgot my name already? Its David, David Val'Lauren. Yours is Christina Kafka correct?"
As he watched her enter he slowly unbuttoned his shirt so that some of his abdomen was visible now. "So tell me what is it that you wanted Miss Kafka? Did you just want to hang out with one of us or talk about something along...the sexual activities of us slytherins?" He then tossed his hat aside not caring that they were in the common room where everyone would see them talking to each other.
Life was always interesting when you had someone to have fun with. Like in this instance David could see Christina and he getting along verrry well. Such as thier hands grazing one another's body while kissing and hugging. Breathing lightly he pulled out his wand and pointed it at the unlit fire speaking a spell to light it up.
"Come sit. Take a load off Christina."He spoke seductively.

Hmm he seemed so familiar, Christina knew everyone in her year in Slytherin, the year below not so much. Something with a 'V'...'Val'lauren?' Was that it. Could well be. The flash of metal caught her eye as she noticed the prefect badge, decorated in the typical Slytherin colours, silver and green. So he was a good boy huh? He didn't look like it. Ah well, looks can be decieving. She grinned a little sheepishly. "Well, you don't know who might be wandering down here." She said in her defence, unfolding her arms and looking up at him from under her eyelashes.
"Oh I wasn't looking for anything in particular, but now you come to mention it..." She trailed off suggestively, running one well trained eye up and down his body just the once before turning to the wall, to watch him open it. As the portal opened and he hesitated Christina assumed this would be to let her in, and stalked in anway. She had never been in anyone else's common room before, it was unusual to happen after all. In some ways it was similar to her own, chairs and a large fire but everything was more spread out as they were not in a tower, and of course everything was green. Even the walls had a greenish tinge to them.
After glancing round, she began speaking as she turned to face him again. "Ah yes, David, that's the one. I was vaguely familiar with your name. And Christina Kafka is correct." She finished, facing him now and immediatly her eyes were drawn to the exposed flesh like a magnet, before recomposing herself. They were in a common room after all, but it seemed pretty empty. Christina wasn't sure how big their space was, or perhaps all the Slytherins had gone up to their dorms. Wandering the castle was more likely. There were a few people, younger students she didn't recognise, but they all lurked silently in the corners. They wouldn't trouble them.
Her smirk got even wider after he had spoken, swaying closer to him until her body was pressed teasingly against his, her fingers toying with the folds of his shirt that he had just undone. "Well I was here for the first, but the latter sounds much more appetising if you're up for it." She purred into his ear, then turned away and danced back to one of the more comfortable seats nearer to the fire he had just ignited. She removed her school cloak, flinging it over the back of the couch before sitting down on it, vaguely wondering if David liked girls in uniform. She hoped so, for that was what she was wearing.
She glanced up to him and patted the space on the seat next to her. "Why don't you sit down too and help me then." She said, leaning back into the sofa, enjoying the warmth of the fire against the dreary cold of the Slytherin common room. Now all she needed was her companion next to her, but that should be easy enough.
