Be who they want to see:
Caedyn is five feet, eleven inches tall. He has long, sometimes-curly sometimes-not and dark brown hair. His eyes are a very sharp ice blue. His skin is soft and fair, leaving him very little time in the sunlight. He is by no means athletic, but he is of average build. His legs are lanky and strong, the strongest part of his body. While his eyes seem unnatural and unnerving, they are very common in his family. The skin tone and flawless skin are also tell-tale signs of his lineage.
His skin is flawless except for a few small scars around his body. Caedyn normally keeps himself well-shaved and smooth. The clothes that he chooses to adorn himself in outside of the school robes are usually comfortable and new. He keeps a constant in the brown jacket that he wears. It is a classic leather jacket that was made especially for him. The jacket is the only thing that even looks remotely worn in his wardrobe. Other typical accessories include a pair of sunglasses and an heirloom ring that has been in his family for generations.
The ring that he wears is a simple silver ring with a small cross on the top of it. The ring is always on his right hand and he only takes it off to sleep.
But that leaves no one:
To discover that inside:
Caedyn is a very intelligent student and a very hard worker. If there is knowledge to be gained, he will always attempt to do so. When there is a plan needed, he becomes the mastermind. Caedyn is the type to always have a good book, be it fact or fiction, by his side. If there were ever something he had never heard of, it would not last long. He can be lax in studying new things, but is very dedicated to what he does.
Caedyn enjoys music and plays an instrument himself. Guitar is his instrument of choice and although he is not very talented with it, he continues to strive to improve it. His real talent lies in his voice. While being no songwriter or really having enough creativity to write his own lyrics, he is quite capable at hitting most ranges and octaves.
While definitely not a nerd, Caedyn is definitely proud of his intelligence. He is the type to sit, watch and learn before recklessly trying to do something himself. Pride is always something in the back of his mind, as his accomplishments are a big deal to both himself and his family.
When Caedyn sets his mind to something, he will either complete it or fall into a depression over it. There is a certain amount of sheer determination within him that is often absent in other teenagers. He has a drive and motivational output that excel him above and beyond what is called for.

What a bitter story of love:
Caedyn was born the second of two children to Thomas and Alexandria Monroe. He and his sister were only born one year apart. They got along very well in their childhood and this continued to into their young adult lives. Caedyn was brought up with the knowledge that geomancy was a family secret and he has done his best to study it without giving away it's secrets to others. He spent most of his childhood in London, England. His family continues to reside there. When he came of age, he joined his sister on the trip to Hogwarts and began his wizarding studies. Whenever he would return from Hogwarts, be it for holidays or Summer, his father would teach them a little more about geomancy.
Despite his best efforts, Caedyn has never been able to fundamentally apply fire to any sort of magic. When he was thirteen, he attempted to do so anyway. The disaster that followed was something he could not control and it nearly killed his immediate family. The fire burned for hours even with the best attempts of the local firehouse. His family did not know of the source of the flame, but instead of being upset like he assumed they would be, his father and the rest of his family simply shrugged it off. A house was nothing to them, considering they had many. Despite their good reactions to a disastrous event, the fire left something permanent on Caedyn that would prove not to leave him any time soon.
With always being absorbed in books, Caedyn never had much of a social life. Even after he joined Hogwarts, he was not openly social. Most of the other Ravenclaws understood this quest for knowledge and left it be, but others still doubted that he could be anything more than a bookworm. The rumors amongst them frustrated Caedyn beyond believe, so he tried to push himself out of the shell. When he was sixteen, he finally managed to pull himself out of the depths of books and into the world of people. Breaking out of his shell was hard at first and he felt shunned by most. It left him with an awful taste in his mouth and led to his tolerance of people and idiocy being low. Still, with the passing of time he opened up to others and actually became quite friendly. It forces to keep his opinions to himself sometimes, but doing so is necessary not to upset people.
If there was anything he knew about the people at Hogwarts, it was that they rarely actually wanted to hear what was on his mind. Caedyn knew the difference between what people wanted to hear and what was the truth. Most claimed that they wanted him to speak his mind. This generally meant that they wanted him to say something to their merit. He scoffed and closed the book that he was reading. It had been difficult to study lately. Distractions were everywhere and while he really did not need to study as hard as he was, it kept his mind focused on the task at hand. It was his last year at Hogwarts and he would be graduating this year. If he kept his mind on that, everything would be fine.
"Hey, Caedyn." A girl's voice came from behind him. It was actually rather easy to sneak up on Caedyn, especially when he was zoning out in a book or his thoughts. "I need your help." She said. The request was met with Caedyn's head turning to the girl. It was a friend of his, another Ravenclaw, and she was in need of him. He was never the type to turn down someone if they genuinely needed the help.
"What can I do for you?" Caedyn let out a little sigh as he spoke. One more distraction was no different than a handful. "Can you help me study tonight? I'm really lacking in my potions class, and if I'm going to pass the N.E.W.T. with anything decent, I'm going to need your help." She explained. Her eyes implored his help and it was not something that Caedyn could deny. "Of course I'll help you. No reason to be all nervous about it, right?" He responded kindly. Of course, he was studying for one of his own N.E.W.T. exam, but that could wait to help a friend.
"Great! Meet me in the common room tonight, would you? Before dark! See you then. Thanks again, Caedyn!" The girl smiled happily, waved to him and the left the library. She was a little loud for it to be a library, but no one seemed to mind. Caedyn sat back down as the girl left and he let out a heavy sigh. Tonight was going to be no different than any other night. Helping people and trying to get them through their courses. It was not the first time he had thought about becoming an actual tutor, but that would have to wait until he graduated. For now, he was going to just focus on surviving the school year. With all of the problems out there lurking just beyond the castle walls, it was only a matter of time until each and every witch and wizard would have to confront it. That, and their own demons.
