Years ago, when Alecto had just entered Hogwarts, and she had been sweet and innocent. Yes, she once had been innocent as a baby-angel, her mother had told her about how she had met her father. Somewhere on a regular pure-blood party they were first introduced to each other, of course her mother immediately saw that Alexander Carrow was a great and virile man. Yet, love was not on her list until a few years later. On her sixteenth birthday she got the news of being bethroded to nobody else than Alexander Carrow. She was glad, cause the man she had seen back then at the party was wise and pure, yet she did not love him. Over the years, they grew to each other, becoming friends first and then ultimately lovers. Yes, her mother lover her father deeply, but in Alecto's eyes it was more a form of respect. It was then, when she had first entered Hogwarts her mother had told her the story of her father and her, it was the same day that Alecto had vowed to not be bethroded to anyone, but to chose a man she truly loved, even though her mother and father had a good relationship.
Yet, the thoughts of finding someone she loved had been shattered only one year ago, by no other than Rabastan Lestrange. It had been on a night like this, chilly, yet slightly warmer because it had been mid-summer when he had courted her, or so she believed. That night, he had dragged her outside, she was giggling, being entirely infatuated by the handsome guy that was holding her hand as they skipped behind the bushes. Clothes where thrown away casually and no sooner than you could say the word 'quidditch' they had been at it, eating each other up hungrily. It had ended too soon of course, but what did you expect with two hormone-raged teenagers. Yet, though everything smelled like roses and raindrops in the beginning, soon it turned out to be one hell for Alecto Carrow.
Her father found out only minutes after it had happened. And since that moment, the relationship between Alexander Carrow and Alecto had been entirely lost. The girl had hated that moment in her life, yet, she could not put herself up enough to stop being such a bloody pregnant dog to him. And then, when she thought she was in love, the guy she had liked turned his back on her, not even looking at her when she entered the castle of Hogwarts, not giving her one simple glimpse when she passed him by in the corridors. Her heart was broken, and it was then that she had decided to not fall in love ever again.
So, she walked on the cobbled streets of Hogsmeade, her cloak draped around her fragile looking body. Yet, Alecto Carrow had proven over the years to be not so fragile as she looked. Her brother had toughened her up, her love for him being without any boundaries. He was the only man she could trust, the only man she could relay on. But, of course, everything that had happened did have its benefits in the end. She was now, incredibly independent, only trusting her own self - and her brother -, walking her own way in every desired direction. Though, the past events had still left his scars, Alecto had been once innocent, yes, but that had all disappeared.
Stepping into the almost deserted pub, she lowered the hood of her cloak, her gaze traveled over the crowd. Nobody important could be seen there, at least nobody important to her. She went to the counter, order some firewhiskey and sat down at a table near the back of the pub, her thoughts still wandering over the events of the past until, she was disturbed.

Caedyn had gone through a lot today and had no intention of spending it without a drink in him. He sat down at the end of the counter with something almost indecipherable, a drink so dark and smelling so strong that it was probably illegal in most places. It was sure to knock any first-timer out within a few sips and a grown man would have to take his time drinking it or he would end up on his back just the same. Even Caedyn knew better than to try and gulp the drink down, so he sat there on his bar stool with his elbows on the counter and arms up covering his face with the drink in front of him. The only real eye-catching part about him was the silver ring on his right hand, glinting away and shining in the light of the bar.
One of the most difficult exams he had ever had, save for the oncoming N.E.W.T. tests had happened that day. He was probably one of the handful of students that took them incredibly seriously and had been disgruntled that he did not have more time to study. The choice to come here was a hard one for him, but he knew when he could not bare anymore. Besides, he always had a book close by. This time was no exception. A thick dark-covered book on transmutation and alchemy was resting on the counter next to him. It looked as if it had been new recently, but then gone through quite a bit of use.
Caedyn's eyes turned to the entrance of the bar when a young woman he recognized from school entered. Now, he paid very little attention to the names of people he had no established relationship with, but he knew that she had a very familiar face and that he had seen her around school several times. As he searched his memories, he tried to recall if he had any classes with the young woman, but none came to mind. Then again, even if she was in his classes it was possible that he was so stuck into his books that he would not have recognized half of the people from his classes. Really the only people he knew by name were the ones that were smart or the ones that were dumb. They were the ones that stuck out to him. They were the only ones that really made any impact.
When Caedyn looked back at the book, it finally hit him. This woman was one of the more interesting students in his Potions class. It seemed to be her field of study and that just meant there might be something to talk about. Still, the fact that he could not remember her name bothered him immensely. It was very unlike him to forget someone that he knew, but it was possible that he had just never paid enough attention to her name before when the Professor spoke to her. Picking up his book and the drink in front of him, Caedyn made his way over to the girl.
" 'Scuse me. This seat taken?" Caedyn looked down at the woman and then back at the seat opposite of her at the table.

A guy with piercing blue eyes was standing in front of her, his hair fell slightly in front of them, giving him a boyish appearance, though she knew he was certainly as old as her, perhaps even older. Her lips curled up on one side of her mouth, sneering at the person in front of her. If she wasn't much mistaken, he was even in a class with her , potions probably... If she had been in a better mood; she would have ripped his clothes off and shagged him on top of the table, but today was different, she needed to get rid of her frustrations, of the things that had made her who she was...
Of course, she could always 'thank' Rabastan for making her the way she was, bitter, frustrated, not-caring a fuck of what other people thought of her.. But on the other hand, he Had made her a better person to some degree. Her naivete had disappeared completely in just a matter of moments after she had stepped out of the bushes and seen the look on his face after she had told him she was in love with him. Stupid little girl of fourteen didn't know what love was of course, but it broke her spirit to say the least when he had laughed it away, saying she had only been a dare. "Who would be the first to make little Alecto Carrow crawl and swallow.."
But, what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, so now she was like this. Bitter, but free from the haunt of men. She had them whenever she wanted, where she wanted and how she wanted. But never, no never would she fall in love again. Love, or Romance, was something only seen in fairy tales and nothing would ever happen to her. When she'd leave hogwarts, she would probably end up being betrothed to someone her father had chosen for her, so what was the point of falling in love anyway?
The voice of the guy in front of her brought her back to the present however. It was then that it dawned on her who this person was. Caedyn Monroe, one of the topstudents in Hogwarts who kept to himself most of the time. How very uncharacteristic of him to be swooping through the Hog's Head and now talking to her... Her head lifted up, chin in the air as she spoke to him in her cool way. "Do you see anyone sitting there?"

Caedyn gave the woman a once over. The way her eyes looked as she stared up at him left the imagination to wonder through all sorts of things. His eyes fixed on her hair and then her lips, followed by the soft skin of her neck and then snapped back to attention at the woman's eyes. If he were any other man, he would have wanted something more than just a conversation with the woman. Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on how you viewed it, Caedyn was a lot different than that and always would be. It would take a hell of a lot more than a pretty face to rouse something in him.
"I know you. From a potions class we're in together, right?" Caedyn asked. He could have come outright and told her that he could not remember her name, but that would likely piss the woman off. No, dealing with her was going to take a bit of grace and a bit of thinking. She looked like she was in a bad mood already and there was no reason he needed to contribute to it. He just needed to be a little more cautious than normal if he was going to avoid anything being thrown at him. Drink or otherwise.
He sat down in the empty seat and slid the book to the side of the table. His drink came down next on the table but he picked it right back up and took a drink. It was nothing more than a sip, but he knew better and was not going to try and look manly here. The results of which would end up with him on the floor seeing stars and everyone in the bar laughing hysterically at him. No, that just would not do. Not that he cared what this woman thought of him, but the idea of being laughed at by the entire bar was not exactly something Caedyn was keen on.
Caedyn's eyes went to the bar as he wondered slightly what she had ordered. Certainly it was not going to be anything incredibly strong, but a slight smirk crossed his lips when he began to wonder just how much she could handle. "So, what's got you drinking tonight?" He asked.

Out of the corner of her eyes Alecto noticed Caedyn giving her a once over. She didn't gave it much thought though, most guys gave her a second stare whenever she passed their way. So, she just took her glass of firewiskey and put it to her lips. The drink was downed in only a matter of seconds, the bottle next to the dirty glass was tempting and she filled another one. Letting it rest in her hand before turning her gaze back at the bloke that was now sitting right in front of her. She smirked, shaking her head while drinking the second glass down. She'd quite gotten used to great amounts of liquor filling her stomach. Ever since she'd learned that love is not a victory march, it's just cold and broaken...
The bottle stood there untouched for a few minutes while her gaze settled on the guy opposite her. Leaning back in her chair, Alecto brushed her hand through her long dark hair, batting her eyelashes a few times before putting her hands neatly in her lap. She had to admit, for a smart-ass Caedyn was rather attractive. If he only could be more open, be less of a bookworm and be more aggressive about what he wanted, than she might have been interested in him.. But well, seems like a guy like Caedyn couldn't change that drastically...
Still, she had to admit hat she was rather surprised that he was in the Hog's head. After all the bar was known for it's filthy glasses; dark wizards and a strange hobby of the owner that included goats... She didn't let her mind linger too long on tha tlast bit of information though, it was just something that was a step too far, even for Alecto's dirty mind. "Yes, potions.", she said after she had finished studying him from under her long lashes. "Monroe, isn't it? "she said while outstretching her hand. Yes, she may be a Slytherin, but her parents had taught her some manners over the past sixteen years. "Carrow, Alecto Carrow. I don't think we've officially met."
She grinned at his other question. What had gotten her drinking tonight. Obviously, she wasn't going to tell him. Why would she, she didn't trust anybody, certainly not a bloke who she had just met. So, instead she poured another drink, the smile remaining on her drink while she covered up her lie. "Celebrating of course,". and with that as her final answer she poured him a drink too, knocking back her own, the forced smile staying on her lips.

The smirk on the girl's face was interesting. It could have meant just about anything but the gaze that seemed locked on him was another tell all together. Her mannerisms, the way she moved, the way she drank, it was all fascinating to him. Caedyn never claimed to be all that empathic, but women could be gorgeous in their own rights just from how they moved.
"You can call me Caedyn." He spoke and offered her a polite smile. There was definitely something about this girl that had him on edge. Whether or not that was a good thing or a bad thing he had yet to figure out, but there was definitely something. When she outstretched her hand, he smiled. His parents had drilled he and his sister on proper etiquette and this situation, despite the location and the scenario, was no different. He leaned forward without giving it a second thought and then took her hand, lightly kissing it. The thoughts at the back of his mind, however, were not so noble. He wondered how a woman like her had made it this far hanging out in a place like this. She had to have been more resourceful than he gave her credit for.
Pleasure to meet you." Caedyn smiled and nodded. Sitting back in the chair as his eyes met hers, he propped one leg on top of the other. His gaze was stolen by her eyes, but mainly because he was not so pig-headed as to stare at her body. He was more interested in her eyes and her voice. "I have to say, it was bothering me that I hadn't ever heard your name or been introduced to you." He said as he glanced out the window.
Caedyn looked at the glass she poured and downed it just as quickly as she did. "Firewater." He thought and smiled. The concoction he was drinking was a hell of a lot more potent. This was not going to be hard at all. He could down shots of hers all night.
"Celebrating, huh?" Caedyn gave her another once over, "And what is it we're drinking to?" He tilted his head to the side. There was something suspicious about the way she said it. Unfortunately, there was very little he could do about it unless she wanted to tell him. Maybe the drinks would loosen her up. Being the only one talking with the girl at the moment had it's advantages. He was sure that women probably doted on her all the time, but he was definitely not that kind of guy. It just made things easier that he could be straight with the girl.

Alecto Carrow sat back again, the drink resting in her hand while she gazed at Caedyn. She had to admit it, for a nerd, he looked rather cute. Put him in a ripped jeans, washed-out shirt and a brown leather jacket, and he would look more than decent. But of course, that wasn't the case. Well, in her opinion things could be tweaked about this guy...There was one thing about him though, that she would never change. It had spiked her interest from the first time she'd seen him. That was the only thing that she'd remembered about our dear Mr Monroe... his piercing blue eyes...
Those same piercing blue eyes looked out of the window as he talked to her. Strange, normally guys' eyes always locked on hers, or at least to the lower region of her chest while they talked to her. What was even more surprising, he had never heard of her name. Eyes gawked at him in shock. If she hadn't been brought up properly, her mouth would now be gaping. But of course, the house of Carrow had always been taught proper etiquette, so Alecto kept her mouth shut... it did take her some effort, mind you. "Excuse me?", she said in response to his words. "You haven't heard of the infamous Alecto Carrow?", the young woman snorted. "Where have you been all these years?" she grinned.
Honestly, every single person had at least heard of the name Carrow. If it wasn't about this girl, then they sure as hell knew about Alecto's twin brother, Amycus... But seriously? Even the first graders knew who Alecto Carrow was, if they didn't know her in person, they sure as hell knew about her reputation. That's why most first years cleared the hallways whenever she came around, too afraid to get their balls cursed off...
"Well,", she said in addition to her last words." It's nice to know someone who hasn't formed his opinion about me yet just because of my name." Her eyes linked on him for a second, strangely feeling a small jolt of excitement run through her. She'd come here to forget all about Rabastan and the problems he'd caused. A total black-out because of the booze was something she'd counted on, hoping someone would be smart enough to carry her back to Hogwarts Castle where a detention would be waiting for her for over-abusing her right to drink. But now, she'd forgotten about Rabastan in a matter of seconds, and for once it wasn't because of the booze.
"What are we celebrating?" she said while refilling her glass, making sure his was full to the brim, before raising it. "the joy of life of course.", she added without a drop of sarcasm, though her life had been a mess for a while now... The glass was lifted to her lips again, the strong liquor of the Firewiskey gulped down her throat and she shivered slightly... After three or four glasses it was finally going up to her head. She wasn't drunk though, far from.. but perhaps after this entire bottle was downed, she'd still need someone to escort her back to the castle... And perhaps sneak her past the teachers so she wouldn't get an other detention... Her glass was put back down on the table, her lips turning up in a smirk, as she waited for what Caedyn would do with his glass and how he would respond to it...

Before Caedyn had even bothered to look back at the girl sitting across the table from, he could feel her eyes on him. It was almost like he was being stalked from afar, but he knew who was watching him and she was in plain sight. He turned back to her and caught her gaze on him just like he had felt. It was amusing to him that an attractive woman like her was gazing at him. Most people really did not give him a second look unless they saw his eyes. He could only guess that the same thing had happened here.
"Oh...that's right. Alecto Carrow." Caedyn blinked a few times as he repeated the name out loud. He thought about it for a second and shrugged his shoulders. "I prefer books to people, most of the time. Books can't be idiots." He smiled slightly at the comment. Of course, he was not talking about her but the general populace of the world. Tolerance was something he did not have, but patience on the other hand was something he was filled with. Like Alecto, his family had been taught proper etiquette, he just ignored it most of the time. He cared very little for fanciness and nobility. His family were not nobles, but they definitely had a flair for the regal arts.
"Perhaps the phrase should be, don't judge a book by it's cover. No?" Caedyn tilted his head and gave her a slight smirk. All the talks of where he had been and his response of books had given him a slight pun to respond with. He was not normally filled with humor, but in this one rare occasion it had landed in his lap. Not being the kind to miss such an opportunity, he had decided to go with it. Even if she did not find him humorous.
"The joy of life?" Caedyn looked down at his other glass and then back up at Alecto. Even though his mind was telling him something was not right, he picked up the glass and downed it. He could feel it burning all the way down. The drink was made in Romania and he had only learned of it through his father having visited there once. It was said that it was the kind of drink that could knock a man out if he was not careful. He could feel the impact almost immediately and if he had not been sitting down, it would have knocked him over. The immediate response was to grab the glass she had poured for him and down it immediately. He could feel the gurgling in his stomach, but the firewater was doing a rather great job of fending off the rest of the drink he had previously. It might not even hurt so much in the morning. He hoped.
"I'll drink to that."

don't you wanna be the life of the party, don't you wanna be the cream of the crop. Alecto Carrow started to find the man in front of her more appealing as he talked to her. For once she wasn't evolved with thick-headed people who only knew the words 'suck and bend'. Of course, she never would reprimand those people, heck, everybody knew that it was one of 'Lecto's favourite pastimes, but for once, just once, it was nice to actually talk to someone who listened, and who had just as much input in the conversations. Or perhaps these random thoughts were just here because of the firewiskey that started to go slightly up to her head.
Firewiskey or not, Alecto couldn't help but giggle as Caedyn told her that books were better than people, in his opinion. After all, books couldn't be idiots, like some humans that walked this planet. The giggle however, was very uncharacteristic for this young Slytherin. Yet, she did, her hand slightly covering her mouth as she shook her head. "I knew you were intelligent, Caedyn". she answered him between soft chuckles.. "But that smart.." Her eyes locked on him, one winking before she threw her cloak off over her shoulder, spreading it over her chair before letting her hand drip over to her neck.
Her hand absentmindedly caressed the flesh while she looked at him, pouring both of them another drink. When she'd come here, her mind had been fully occupied with Rabastan Lestrange. It was crazy how a guy she loathed so much could have such an effect on her. Even after all this while, he could make or break her day. But she never let him know that, she acted as if she didn't care, as if he was nothing to her.. Well, he wasn't, but he still got to her. That was why she'd started drinking, why she'd started sleeping around with people she didn't give a rat's ass about... that was the reason why now another name was appearing on her 'to do'-list.
She leaned in closer to Caedyn, her hand leaving the line of her neck as she slowly unbuttoned another knob of her black blouse. Truthfully, she wasn't doing this on intention, it was a mere act she had practiced so many times before, that it had become a habit. Her lips curled into a soft smile, seductive being the word to describe it best as her head inclined slightly towards the man in front of her. She knew it, soon enough his eyes would avert from her face, over to her lips and then down to the cleavage that was now showing. Men were weak, they always had been... And this man in front of her, even though he might seem strong, would give into her wishes in the end... They all did.

Caedyn smiled at the girl in front of him. "Well, you know, it's a gift and a curse. Kind of like stubbing your toe to get out of soccer practice." He jested, obviously poking fun at the fact that she had called him smart, but it was all in good fun. What she said was true and he knew it, but he still had no idea how to take it when people complimented his intelligence. It was something that he really just smiled and rolled with it. Now was no exception. The joke was his way of not having to deal with what she had said.
Another drink down and he was still smiling. Caedyn was beginning to get a little buzzed, but it was nothing he could not handle. He was actually enjoying himself tonight and it had been a long while since he had gone out and done that. So many nights spent in studying over books and a fireplace were getting to him on the inside. He loved books and he studying was something he was good at, but that did not mean he could do it forever. The girl in front of him was living proof of that.
The way she moved, the way she smiled, it was almost like she was trying to hypnotize him. Her body, the way she stroked her flesh, it was obvious that she was used to getting what she wanted. This kind of girl would smile and she would watch the eye of just about every man in the room that could see it. His eyes followed her hand and then gave her a once over. When it hit him, he knew what was going on. Alecto was trying to seduce him. If he had been completely sober, he would have laughed it off and just shrugged his shoulders. This was different though.
"I'm not that easy, sweetheart." Caedyn smiled at her and poured the both of them another drink from the bottle. He downed his rather quickly and smiled at the girl as he took off the leather jacket that he was wearing. His sleeves were partially rolled up and his shirt was unbuttoned at the top. Two could play at this game.

Alecto Carrow could see that Caedyn Monroe knew exactly what she was doing. Which had been her intention all along... Fooling a guy without him knowing that you were trying to get him into bed was lame, they didn't know what had come over them, they just went with the flow and they would lie at her feet like a puppy in no time. Now, with the way Caedyn acted, the "I'm not that easy", part. That was when the games got really interesting. Those man, they would do anything to prove you wrong, saying that they wouldn't sleep with you, and when in the end they did - which , let's face it, they always did - the pleasure was three times as good.
"Neither am I, sweety.", Alecto retorted while brushing her hand through her hair before letting it slip around her glass again. She hold it up in a toasting manner, and then down it all at once without looking away from the Ravenclaw in front of her. The glass went back down to the table and she licked the last remaining bits of the liquor of her lips. "I never said you were.", she added while leaning over the table. The cleavage that was already showing was know begging for attention, but Alecto only acted as if she didn't notice any of that.
"In fact,", she continued while her hand reached forward, slowly caressing his arm with only one single finger while her eyes never looked away from him. "Perhaps that's why I bare your company.". A soft sneer cornered her lips while she never tore her gaze away from him. A simple line of truth was hidden in her words. She knew Caedyn wouldn't cave in quick. He was not like all those other guys... Of course, Alecto liked living on the edge, she never did differently, but once in a while it was nice to actually talk to someone who didn't only want to sleep with you... So that was a nice change.
'Course we're talking Alecto Carrow here, folks. The girl was smart, and intelligent, though she rarely showed to be so.. and yes she liked convo's.. but there was one thing she liked even more. Plain good ol' sex. So, please don't hate her for actually wanting to sleep with the guy in front of her. After all, - for a nerd- he was quite cute. Not to mention that she did have a weak spot for men in leather jackets.. Happened to be that he had just taken his off. Her eyes gave his the same once-over he had given her moments before. Briefly stopping as her eyes got to the same level as his crotch. She bit her lip, honestly without even noticing her own reaction before looking him straight in the eyes again. "Of course... I'm only a girl", she whispered softly. "I do have my desires..."
