What can be found in a name:
David Vincent Val’Lauren
When the day I was born:
August 23rd, 1960
The Angels screamed:
Jason And Michelle Val’Lauren
And Hell shut its doors:
Maximus Val’Lauren[four years old]
While creatures retreated:
Owl named Kira and a horse named Jade
To depths unknown:
Pureblood
I hide from them:
Common Room, Potions room, Defense Against the arts room, room of requirement, any room he get in
Be who they want to see:
With dark brown hair that is usually spiked and his glowing blue eyes David is given the slight appearance that he is indeed of a pure ascendance from powerful wizards. He is of course of a light weight build due to always working out, though all of his one hundred and fifty some what pounds is all muscle. He has a few scars from recent practice duels with his father. One scar in particular is located on his back from a severing charm that went in a little to deep and has yet to fully heal.
David's voice is very seductive and slow, slower in the octave but its soft making it a bit husky. David also usually wears whatever he finds fits him comfortably even if it is "mudblood or Muggle" clothing. David is also very refined and collected, his height reaches about five foot and eight inches. If you try to locate where his wand is though good luck because he also always has it transfigured into a pen or piece of parchment paper. In which case all he has to do is touch it and it'll turn back into a wand. Other then that he carries himself with regalcy and importance.
But that leaves no one:
To discover that inside:
David’s primary mode of living is focused externally, where he deal with things rationally and logically. His secondary mode is internal, where you take things in primarily via your intuition.
David is a natural born leader. He lives in a world of possibilities where he sees all sort challenges to be surmounted, and he wants to be the one responsible for surmounting them. He has a drive for leadership, which is well-served by his quickness to grasp complexities, his ability to absorb a large amount of impersonal information, and his quick and decisive judgments. He is a "take charge" person.
David is very career-focused, and fits into the corporate world quite naturally. He is constantly scanning his environment for potential problems which he can turn into solutions. He generally sees things from a long-range perspective, and is usually successful at identifying plans to turn problems around - especially problems of a corporate nature. David is usually successful in the business world, because he is so driven to leadership. He’s tireless in his efforts on the job, and is driven to visualize where an organization is headed. For these reasons, he is natural corporate leaders.
There is not much room for error in the world of David. He dislikes seeing mistakes repeated, and has no patience with inefficiency. He may become quite harsh when his patience is tried in these respects, because he is not naturally tuned in to people's feelings, and more than likely doesn't believe that he should tailor his judgments in consideration for people's feelings. David has difficulty seeing things from outside his own perspective. David naturally has little patience with people who do not see things the same way as he does. David needs to consciously work on recognizing the value of other people's opinions, as well as the value of being sensitive towards people's feelings. In the absence of his awareness, David will be forceful, intimidating and overbearing individual. This may be a real problem for David, who may be deprived of important information and collaboration from others. In his personal world, it can make David overbearing as spouses or parents.
David has a tremendous amount of personal power and presence which will work for him as a force towards achieving his goals. However, this personal power is also an agent of alienation and self-aggrandizement, which David would do well to avoid.
David is very forceful, decisive individuals. He makes decisions quickly, and is quick to verbalize his opinions and decisions to the rest of the world. David may have brilliant ideas and insight into situations, but he may have little skill at determining how to act upon his understanding, or his actions may be inconsistent. David has developed in a generally less than ideal way may become dictatorial and abrasive - intrusively giving orders and direction without a sound reason for doing so, and without consideration for the people involved, that is if he doesn’t keep himself in check.
David is not naturally tuned into other people's feelings, but he frequently has a very strong sentimental streak. Often these sentiments are very powerful to David, although he will likely hide it from general knowledge, believing the feelings to be a weakness. Because the world of feelings and values is not where David naturally functions, he may sometimes make value judgments and hold onto submerged emotions which are ill-founded and inappropriate, and will cause him problems - sometimes rather serious problems.
David loves to interact with people. He can be energized and stimulated primarily externally. There's nothing more enjoyable and satisfying to David than having a lively, challenging conversation. He especially respects people who are able to stand up to him, and argues persuasively for their point of view. There aren't too many people who will do so, however, because David has a very forceful and dynamic presence who has a tremendous amount of self-confidence and excellent verbal communication skills. Even the most confident individuals may experience moments of self-doubt when debating a point with David.
David puts a lot of effort and enthusiasm into his relationships. Since his major quest in life is to constantly take in knowledge and turn that into something useful, he will try to turn everything into a learning experience. Within the context of relationships, that means he will constantly seek knowledge and revise the rules and definitions of his relationships. He values his relationships highly, especially those relationships which present him with new challenges and stimulate his learning. Such exchanges promote genuine affection and satisfaction for David. Relationships which do not offer any chances for growth or learning does not hold any interest David. As in other areas of life, David likes to be in charge of his relationships. In conversation,David is very direct and confrontational, and can be highly critical and challenging towards others. People involved in close relationships with David needs to have a good amount of personal strength. For those who do, David has a tremendous amount to offer.
David is not naturally in-tune with the feelings and emotions of his partners. David sometimes does not make the attempt to be aware of others, and to value their feelings and opinions, and thus may find himself in unbalanced relationships, where real communication does not take place. These kinds of situations present a two-edged sword to David. They want to be in charge, but if he becomes so much in charge as to stifle his partners, he will eventually become bored with the relationship.
Romantically, David is robust, imaginative and enthusiastic. His natural instinct to lead will be apparent in this arena as well as other areas of life, and he will lead his partner on creative lovemaking adventures, where the focus is on mutual learning and affection sharing. He's likely to expect romance on a relatively scheduled basis.
David does not usually have a problem with self-confidence and is not especially emotionally needy. Although he enjoys being told that he is loved and appreciated, he doesn't need to hear these types of avowals as often as most other males. If he is partnered with a Feeling type female, he is probably not likely to fulfill his partner's needs for intimate words without conscious effort. Even with effort, David may have problems being aware of other's emotional needs, and he most likely won't understand those needs even if he is aware of them.
David approaches conflict as an opportunity for growth and learning. This is a very healthy outlook in general, but may be a problem in a close relationship with a his girlfriends. David’s tends to be confrontational may be very threatening to a person especially so if they are an intimate partner of the him. In general, David has a lot to offer to his intimate relationships. He's dedicated and enthusiastic, and willing to put forth a lot of effort to make things work out. He takes on responsibility and accountability, and expects to be in charge. His relationship will be one based on mutual respect, constant growth and development.
This soulless being:
Women, books, sex, purebloods, the dark arts, potions class, his house friends, his head of house
Is just as lost:
Blood Traitors, muggle-born wizards and witches, wizards chess, anyone who stands in his way, James Potter
As everyone else:
Dark Arts, quidditch, charming people, duels(he practices every chance he gets), dancing
In a world that knows only hate:
Blondes, crying women, poems(he’s a big softy once ya get to know him), Music, care of magical creatures class.
And causes pain for the soulless like me:
Wants to find a wife by the end of his schooling years
He’s always sneaking around during night.
They left me to die:
Doesn’t know any, they are called “Bloodtraitors” in his family
On a bed of roses:
All deceased
Blood seeping through:
They are secretly working for Voldemort
The satin sheets of fame:
Rich, very rich
What a bitter story of love:
David Vincent Val'Lauren was born at midnight the morning of August 23rd, 1960. His mother, Michelle, swore after he was born that she would never give birth again, but never kept her word. David is the oldest of two children. They own an extensive stretch of land on the edge of Moscow that is both unplottable and has Muggle-repelling charms on it. This land has been in the family for generations. During his childhood, David lived in a stiflingly strict household. Everything was so fine and expensive that they couldn’t touch anything, and the rules became too much for the young lad, who has since held no regard for any rules other than his own.
His parents sent him to a boarding school in England very dissimilar to Hogwarts called Blackwood Manor. Not only did the students live in a spacious manor as opposed to an old castle, but the school’s committee was much more selective on who could attend. Here he learned the basics that most wizarding parents taught their children themselves or hired a tutor for. David shuddered at the idea of how some magical children are sent to Muggle primary schools. His early exposure to elitism and living away from his parents rendered David into the creature he was soon to become at Hogwarts.
David does not much care for his new school, even though he enjoys the classes more now that he’s old enough to practice magic. The castle is a lot draftier than Blackwood Manor and the students are not all pureblooded, which of course to people like David is a point of contention on the subject of the school’s merits. During David’s third year he joined the quidditch team. His parents immediately dismissed all previous anger they held towards their eldest son's friend upon his death, remembering him as a perfect child and loathing the existence of Muggles even more. During Nikolai’s funeral; David's friend from, David fell into an open grave and had the wind knocked out of him. He could still remember the feeling of lying on his back in the fresh grave, nothing but the gray skies of Russia hovering in a rectangular box above his head. He’d screamed and soon his father had come to help him out, but ever since then David has been incredibly claustrophobic.
Since his fifth year, David has developed into what one might call ‘a young man of questionable morals.’ He loves alcohol, girls and rock and roll. Muggles may be filth, but their music was the kind he liked to roll around in. David is a notorious womanizer and got into a fair spot of trouble at the end of sixth year for ‘canoodling’ with a Ravenclaw girl behind the statue of the humped witch. He’s also been given several detentions for failing to do his work, even though he’s quite clever and is even adept at creating his own spells, and also for publicly drinking alcohol in the castle. David now is serving a few detentions in Professor Slughorn's office for trying to steal his
favorite brew but its a lax detention cause the two are on such a friendship level. He is after all in the Slytherin house.
David emitted an inaudible huff as he stepped gingerly onward his way, headed nowhere in particular, all he knew is that he was barely a mile from the stables still. His shock of light blonde hair fluttered to the side of his marred, pallid face, which held in itself both blatant misery and nothingness. Every listless moment was just more and more traumatizing; his mind was dangerously unoccupied, leaving various possibilities available to remedy this uselessness.
'Ooh, what have you gotten into, David..?' his thoughts roved in question, beckoning him to make a U-turn right now and drop the idea of aimlessly wandering. Yes, perhaps at first he’d though the scenery was nice.. but it was quickly beginning to feel like staring at the floral wallpaper of a room that went on forever with no aberrations. Everywhere he looked, it was the same damn thing.
Bird. Rock. Tree. Bigger rock. Rock again. Tree. Tree. Rock… no. Dead deer.
He would have pondered the matter further had he not been brought to a disjointed halt; that spot just so happened to be on the brink of Hogwarts’ doorstep. The castle was conveniently large, and held a lot of things to the lesser of his knowledge. There were so many aromas wafting about the vicinity that it was difficult to decipher one from another. Wood, dominantly, food, pine, sand, fried… something. Probably more food. The atmosphere was musky with moisture, but the constant breeze kept the air pleasantly cool and comfortable despite his thin black turtleneck and intricate garb. Given the symphony of voices he could tell the ball was still going on.
Further along the walk of the great hall, peculiar bi-colored eyes soon spotted a woman just ahead. A youthful beauty bade it female, which wasn't exactly unusual. Rather, the instant reveal of teeth in a ludicrous grin as she eyed her fellow pedestrians came as more of an interest to the elf. There was no he without the proper formalities of a gentleman, but there was also no helping the appeal to stand back, watch, and retreat into the silence he'd carried from the previous afternoon.
Did he think such a preposterous thing that she might have considered devouring him? No, not at all. His careful eye could depict most anything, provided it was philosophical -- the mind was such a simple thing. It was just as much a cakewalk to presume that her thoughts at the moment were probably not the most righteous of ones.
A selfless side of himself beckoned to come forward, but she had probably cultivated some make-shift strategy; cheating. Money came as reward, not an entity to be claimed if ones hands were covered in the filth of it. He couldn't stop her from anything rash, no.. but he could ask of her forgiveness. After all he had denied her a date to this ball. Help them both in that sense.
David approached casually, though choose to be behind her as not to disrupt whatever thoughts thrummed through her head -- she must have her eye on her miscue to make for proper understanding. It was then when his hoarse, gravelly voice, garbled with his unshakable faint English accent, whistled into her ear as he leaned in to politely share a sliver of enlightenment.
“I’m not sure what you think of me right now Juliette…You probably hate my guts for denying you a dance. I wanted to try and see what Melissa’s true heart lied. With the mud bloods or with us pure bloods…I see now it was futile to even attempt it I can see that now…I beg of you please just accept my friendship.” he paused and spoke almost inaudibly, ”And perhaps even later my love….”
David was such a charmer he knew this would work. He‘d have the girl in bed in a few minutes, maybe even under the curtains in the ballroom.
