Mid-afternoon and the day was already hot. All of England was engulfed in flame and the tensions in the wizarding world were nearly as hot as the black streets potential victims walked down. It seemed like everyone and anyone could be a target. It wasn't just muggles and muggle born anymore. No, these days more and more prominent names were making the articles in the Daily Prophet. Well, the corpses of those that could be identified properly. Some were never found, some had a bit of hair or a toe attend a funeral. It was a fearful time to try and live in. Few walked the boiling streets without the slightest twinge of fear. A handful of people could walk with the surest of steps and the darkest of smiles playing at the corners of their faces. The thin man made his way through the huddled groups of people.
People rarely traveled alone anymore, they were packs of flesh that thought their numbers would protect them from being slaughtered. Their precautions only taunted David more as he had to restrain himself to merely pass them by. Merlin, how he would have liked to go to work on them. Blast some and then toy with the rest. He wiped some sweat from his brow, blinking his red eyes against the bright rays of the sun.
Since the past year, David had become unrecognisable from most pictures of himself. Getting run through a ringer though is liable to do that to a person. He hadn't spoken to many people he knew in...well he had lost count of just when he had spoken to them last. Any sense of time had gone by the wayside for him.
Shaking his head as if that would knock the murderous thoughts out, David forced himself into sanity. He needed to clear his head, the heat was getting to him. Was it the heat? Lack of sleep? Lack of properly maiming a mudblood? A nasty combination most likely. David sat down on the steps of a store in the alley, ripping his black jacket from his shoulder and throwing it to one side. Sitting there, running a hand up through what had been perfectly combed hair, David mused darkly to himself. Surely there was going to be something more fitting coming his way soon. More attuned to his talents and perversions. His rough hands wrung at his hair as he stood up. Grabbing his jacket, David returned back into the streets.
Hogs Head. Just the kind of place David needed at the moment. There were about five or so others out in the patio, all minding their own affairs. Tossing his jacket into one of the chairs at a vacant table, David slumped down into the chair opposite it. He rubbed at his temples for a moment before a witch came over. David ordered a drink and was glad that she scurried off to fill it. He wasn't in the mood for making small talk with such people. This was a place for people to stay lost in.
Undoing the buttons on his collar, David let his eyes fall shut for a few moments. He was actually in a rare state of peace. Away from the buzzing of school and sheltered from the heat, David faded off quickly. The only time a person could catch him in a more subdued state would be at his piano. Wouldn't be lovely to have a piano nearby, David thought to himself, a slight hint of a smile making an attempt on his face.

Clothing: click meeeeWord Count: 503 Tagged: David Lena was bored. It was a dull day out of classes and she had nothing to do. Some of the students were allowed to go into hogsmeade for the day and Lena decided she would be one of the one’s to go. She needed something to do and running around the little town would definitely take her mind off of things. As the school year got closer and closer to ending, she became more and more listless, not really wanting to leave and go back to her solitary existence in London. She would be bored except for when she’d be at the dance school, helping to teach and do performances. But those wouldn’t be every day and she had no friends in London. So Lena would be completely alone except for her house elves. She was not looking forward to it at all. She only hoped she’d be able to keep in touch with people over the break before they started back for 6th year.
She was wearing jeans and a white and black top she liked. It was pretty warm out so she saw no reason to not wear a cap sleeve top. Her hair was pulled up into a long sleek ponytail that slid across her shoulders every time she moved. She was wearing heels to match her top, enjoying the extra height. At only 5’2”, she needed all the height she could get. Her ever present owl locket was there, dipping beneath her top to nestle against her skin. Lena hadn’t waited to see if one of the others wanted to go with her, needing to just spend a little time thinking and trying to get out of the mental funk she had every time someone mentioned how close school was over. It was getting annoying as people kept mentioning it repeatedly every day. Lena just walked down to Hogsmeade, lost in her thoughts.
Once into town she looked around and tried to decide where she wanted to go. She thought about going to the little bookstore there but she wasn’t really in the mood to go find a new book right then. And she didn’t want to get any candy at Honeydukes. Her eyes landed on the Three Broomsticks and her lips tilted into a thoughtful pout before she decided against it. That was bound to be where all of the others were and she didn’t much relish going in there. Especially not after the fiasco that had been James’ birthday party. But she did want a drink. So that left only one place, because she was not going to the ridiculous Madam Puddifoots. Hog’s Head was her destination. Lena took a breath and walked there, stepping onto the patio and looked around, wondering where she should sit. Her eyes briefly landed on a Slytherin she recognized as being years older than her but her gaze slid away from him quickly, not wanting to look at him too long. They were from different houses and she remembered him being quite the pureblood fanatic. As a halfblood, and a Gryffindor, she didn't think he would take nicely to her looking at him. And she was just too tired and wanting some peace to get into a fight with a Slytherin about something like house rivalry or her blood.
