Let’s face it. Narcissa Black has a superiority complex. Her level of narcissism could easily be claimed as narcissistic personality disorder, if such a great many people didn’t agree with her. She comes from one of the oldest Wizarding families in Europe, and her line is one of the few that hasn’t succumbed to madness. And she’s easy on the eyes. So buyer beware; she’ll only accept the best for her peers.
Family is a fickle friend amongst purebloods, and it’s the same with ‘Cissa. Blood should run thicker than it does in her opinion, but there are a few who’d trade family for wine; or even grape juice. Those of her own blood (who’ve remained faithful) are the best people. Those who’d abandoned her family, she feels, have done direct damage to her. Deep down she may feel that she wishes they’d repent and come back, but outwardly she’d keep such sentiments chained deep inside.
Friends, those who’ve truly made it, are something Cissa prizes are an important part of society (and her mental health). One needs to surround herself with the cream of the crop, the best, in order to succeed. Of course, there are some that she truly harbors feelings of sisterly comradely for, but those are few and far between. A good deal of her social circle only provide a pretty face and a pretty blood line for Cissa’s enjoyment.
Cissa’s own slightly warped opinion of love is one based off of a mixture of fairy tale romances told as a child, the idea of a marriage contract dictated by her father, and the naughty books she’s been lent by friends from less strict or less old-fashioned families. She wants an over-the-top handsome husband, of good lineage, high standing, and wealthy. Nothing will stop a determined boy from finding his way towards her, however. It's not as if she abhors the attention either, it must be noted. As propriety orders, there’s a line she won’t cross. Pushing is not appreciated.
So here's the dealio, darlings. I hate, hate, HATE making those 'put lyrics' here things. I've made a million, but I'm so much ADD that I can't stick to just those lyrics. So, here's Cissa. Wann plot? Please reply to this post with a one [1] paragraph description and partial history of our character’s relationship. Please include the reasoning behind the relationship as well, along with two icons of your character.
Thank you, darlings!
Being in the same year, and the same house, Tanith and Narcissa know each other relatively well. In their younger years Tan and Cissa got on okay, but as they've grown older it's become clear just how different their personalities are. Now their personalities are poles apart, Cissa is beauty-conscious and popular, proud of her heritage, Tan's quiet and eccentric. Despite the fact that they've grown apart though, Tanith does secretly envy Narcissa from afar, mixed with a strange contempt for her narcissism and snobbery
