Clothing: click meeeeTagged: James It was a nice day outside and Lena decided to do some reading outside. She picked the stands of the Quidditch pitch because there were less people there than around the lake which is where she usually went to read on nice days like today. She knew some people might be practicing out on the pitch but she figured they would be too busy playing to bother her. She didn’t really like quidditch. Or flying in general. She was afraid of heights and because of that she had never actually ridden a broom before. And she didn’t plan on riding one anytime soon.
Once to the pitch, she climbed into the stands, heading toward one of the highest seats to be as far from the field as possible to prevent something from flying at her and hitting her. Lena didn’t relish going to the hospital wing on a weekend day. She sat down on the bench and stretched her bare legs out in front of her, wearing shorts as she usually did when it got warmer. As she started to read, a hand slid through her hair, brushing it out of her face. She’d look up occasionally to make sure nothing was coming at her, but otherwise she just sat there and read, hearing sounds of quidditch and people flying around filtering through her ears slightly. It was nice just basking in the sun’s rays for the day with a good book. As her arm shifted, the bangles on it jingled softly before going quiet again.

The Gryffindor team had the pitch as they usually do on Saturday mornings. But this Saturday they pulled a double practice session. Wanting to get in some extra training on some new maneuvers before the next game. He had noticed someone in the stands. During a fly-by he got a better look at the person and saw that it was Lena. He even waved at her but she was too absorbed in the book she was reading.
After practice, he took a quick shower in the changing area. His thoughts hovering about on what to do with the rest of the day. Or at least until Sirius got out of detention. Then perhaps they can tear Remus from his new found girl and round up Peter and head off to Hogsmeade. Of course they would have to use the tunnels as it wasn't a Hogsmeade weekend, but then again it didn't have to be a Hogsmeade weekend for them to go there.
Dressed in jeans and a tee shirt with hair still slightly damp he left the changing area. Picking up his broom he walked back inside the pitch to make sure they had put up the equipment while he showered. Finding that they did he turned to leave, glancing up the stands he saw Lena still sitting there. Smiling to himself he got on the broom and kicked off, flying up in the air he made a slow turn than flew straight over to Lena. Stopping in front of her he hovered there on his broom. "I can think of more interesting things one can do on the weekend besides reading." he said to her as he reached over and took her book, bending the page corner to mark it as he closed it. "Come on I'll take you for a spin over the forbidden forrest, perhaps we can spot a unicorn or something interesting."

Clothing: click meeeeTagged: James Lena had just been quietly sitting there and enjoying her book. She didn’t really notice when the players stopped playing Quiddith because, by then, she was too far in depth to notice anything else. She probably wouldn’t even have noticed a Bludger coming at her and hitting her in the head until she’d woken up the next day or so. Now that truly would have been an awful fate, missing that much classes. But the games had just been background noise, nowhere close to her anyway as she was in the highest of the stands. It wasn’t until her book was snatched from her as a cheery voice spoke that she even knew something was going on around her and that someone was even talking to her. Her unhappy squeak at the book being taken away was quickly followed with her reaching forward and trying to snatch it back. “James Potter, you know better than to take my books.” She was pouting but she couldn’t truly take him serious. It was James after all.
She stood up and faced him, raising an eyebrow at his comment. “Better things than reading? No doubt you could think of many things but I can’t. I was positively enthralled with that book.” She spun the words around, making herself sound like Professor McGonagall with her wording on purpose. It was a joke that she could sound so much like their deputy headmistress when she really put thought to it. Lena didn’t really mind when he marked her place. Least he did that much, instead of just shutting it. She could appreciate that even if she wasn’t too happy with his methods of getting the book. "Come on I'll take you for a spin over the forbidden forest, perhaps we can spot a unicorn or something interesting." At even just the thought of getting on that broom, Lena winced and shook her head, taking a step back. “No, I don’t think so. I don’t really do flying. I like to keep my feet firmly on the ground. I’m already a klutz on the ground, I’d probably end up killing myself in the air on a broom.”

He held the book out of her reach, grinning as she tried to snatch it back. Knowing full well she couldn't reach it as he held it in the hand opposite her and unless she wanted to fall down the stands it was perfectly safe. "Enthralled?" he purposely looked at the book as if it was the most disgusting thing on earth. "I hardly think this book is more fascinating than a unicorn ... but to each their own" he shrugged, quite amused at her uncanny imitation of McGonagall. "You know you are scary when you do that. Too bad it doesn't work on me like it does the first years." Yes he had seen her scare some first years with that imitation who were throwing snaps in the halls. I was quite amusing as he and Sirius watched them all scatter before Lena.
No, I don’t think so. I don’t really do flying. I like to keep my feet firmly on the ground. I’m already a klutz on the ground, I’d probably end up killing myself in the air on a broom.
He rose an eyebrow. Lena didn't 'do' flying? Did that mean she has never flown? He was puzzled. How can it be the Lena managed to not learn flying as a first year? Cause from her statement it sounded like she never learned to fly. "How can a witch not 'do' flying?" he asked with a chuckle sure that he miss understood her response. But then again he maybe wrong so he quickly added. "You do know how to fly? .. I mean you have been on a broom before, haven't you?"

Clothing: click meeeeTagged: James Lena continued to pout as he held it out of her reach. She really couldn’t get it now unless she took a flying leap for it and by some miracle caught it before she fell down 6 stories high of stands. She’d die if she tried going for it so she just set her hand on her hip and pouted at him, hoping her soft innocent look would work. “Come on, James. Please let me have my book back?” She fluttered her lashes at him, throwing on the sweetness. His disgusted look at her book almost made her break out into laughter but she kept it in, her lips only twitching up in amusement. “To each their own,” she repeated, agreeing. “And obviously your own is looking at typically girly animals such as unicorns. Do you like bunny rabbits too, James?” Her eyes were bright with tease. "You know you are scary when you do that. Too bad it doesn't work on me like it does the first years." Lena laughed and shrugged. “Was worth a try. And you know you love when I imitate her. I bet she’s in all your nightly dreams. Why else would you get in detention with her all the time?” Lena did like picking on the first years when they were being too loud and rowdy and she only had to do her McGonagall impression and they’d scatter. It was nice having the power.
At her comments about flying she watched his face, noticing his expressions of confusion and almost smiled. "How can a witch not 'do' flying?" She shrugged and looked at him innocently. “Pretty easily I would think if I don’t. Other witches and even some wizards must not do it either.” She blinked when he quickly added onto his statement and she blushed slightly and looked away to the stair below his hanging feet. “Um….kinda? I know how to fly in theory…”

To each their own .... And obviously your own is looking at typically girly animals such as unicorns. Do you like bunny rabbits too, James?
He laughed. "Why sure! I like to dive bomb them and zap their furry butts. You know, their white tails make perfect targets. Besides they are quite fast and unpredictable, fun to chase, weaving in and out of the trees, making fast direction changes, perfect for quidditch training!" He shot her a sly look "How did you know my secret?" he asked amused and playing along with her, making the whole rabbit chasing up. However come to think of it ... it wasn't a bad idea for practice unless you were the rabbit of course.
He leaned back and laughed as she teased him about his detentions with McGonagall. Shuddering when she mentioned he had nightly dreams of her. He did get a lot of detentions with her and probably should get more, for he was always up to some sort of pranking with and without the other Marauders. Fact was out of all the professors there, besides Dumbledore she was the one he most respected. She didn't let him get away with nearly as much as the other professors, she was firm and took no excuses and in a way reminded him of his mother.
He watched her closely as she tried to put off the fact that she didn't fly by saying there must be others that don't fly. Seeing her blush and look away confirmed what he had been thinking. Her words sealing it ... Lena didn't know how to fly! He looked at the book, then at her and smiled mischievously as an idea began to form. He stepped off the broom, taking hold of it he shifted it to the hand that held the book, holding both in the same hand, firmly. He walked over to Lena smiling, "Time you learned!" He then moved quickly he reached around her and took her wand, slipping it into his shirt before reaching for his wand. He flicked the wand at the book and it began to flap and fly like a bird. "Sorry for disarming you, " he grinned "but i couldn't have you just summon the book back when you are going to have to fly to get it." He smirked at her and slid his wand inside his shirt next to hers. "Now let's get down to the business at hand ... getting you on this broom and flying up to get that book." He held out the broom for her to take.

Besides they are quite fast and unpredictable, fun to chase, weaving in and out of the trees, making fast direction changes, perfect for quidditch training!" Lena raised an eyebrow at the whole line of bull coming from him and her lips twitched in amusement. To continue the game though, she had to pretend she wasn’t about to die laughing. So she schooled her expression after a minute and snorted, as ladylike as possible(even though snorting could probably never be ladylike), before talking. “I know all kinds of secrets about you, dear James. One’s you’d be shaking in your boots over me knowing.” Her eyes lit up slightly, loving teasing and being mischievous with him. She knew he really hadn’t done that. James wouldn’t hurt a little rabbit, even if he was trying to work on his quidditch skills. Everyone knew James was brilliant on a broom. He probably could go a whole season without practice, and still win them the games. “If I had a fluffy white tail would you try to target it too?” Lena raised an eyebrow at him again, smiling.
Lena knew that when James started to smirk, at any point in time, it never boded well for anyone nearby. And as she was the only one close, looked like his little Marauder heart was going pitter pat, wanting to do something about her little secret. She was doomed. When he climbed off of his broom she took a step back warily. He would never hurt her but she still didn’t trust him as far as she could throw him when it came to him and that blasted smirk. His innocent act didn’t work on her. So, even though she was on guard, it was still a shock when he suddenly snatched her wand out of her back pocket and hid it away in his clothing. “James!” she yelled, moving toward him, intent on getting her wand back. It was one thing to take her book. It was another to take her wand.
The next thing she knew her book was acting like a bloody bird, thanks to him. Books weren’t supposed to fly. When he apologized she snorted, not believing him for a second. “James Potter, if you don’t give me that wand back I swear I will tell Lily that you attack bunnies.” She knew her threat was empty and she knew he knew. But it was worth a shot. "Now let's get down to the business at hand ... getting you on this broom and flying up to get that book." She sighed and her hands landed on her hips once again. “James, I really don’t know how to fly. And I don’t think a crash course is going to help me unless you intend for me to do as the name of the blasted thing, and crash.”
