YOU KNOW WHERE THE WORLD IS AT , - - - - - - - get what you want with your lucky eyes
Ella had been, well, pretty out of it for the past few months. She had avoided public places and avoided people altogether. It was almost as if she had completely disappeared, except for Quidditch practices and her own separate Quidditch practices. After all, she was extremely determined to become a professional chaser. She knew she'd make it one day, even though Adrian unrightfully had the Quidditch Captain spot.
At the moment, Ella was not playing Quidditch. She was, in fact, taking a break. And her idea of a break was going for a nice cool swim. So, she had pulled off the clothes that she had worn for her own special Quidditch practice, revealing her multicolored bikini, and jumped into the lake. Considering the fact that it was late evening and getting pretty close to curfew, there weren't exactly many people outside. In fact, most people were giving her weird stares for jumping into the lake when she'd have to go in soon anyways. Everyone was pretty much on their way out, except her. Ella was the odd one out, like always.
The moment Ella's skin made contact with the cool lake water was the moment that she felt an instant burst of relief. It felt so nice to be in the water after a long sweaty and heavy training practice that she had forced herself to go through. Some people thought her insane for having her own personal practices, considering Adrian wasn't exactly easy with practices, but nobody really understood how badly she wanted to be a professional chaser. Not even Adrian.
She stayed in the water, not making a move to leave, when she heard someone else's voice.

It was the first time Kira had been outside since her near death experience only to be saved by none other than Remus Lupin who, for what they are and their instinctual feelings toward one another, should be her mortal enemy. They had differing views, that was certain, but there was a level of understanding between them. She did worry just who would find out her secret through him though she did not think he would intentionally tell to harm her or anything, but she knew that to someone close to him he would probably be a poor liar. In truth, she anticipated his close friends finding out, it was just a matter of time in her mind.
Outside was a place she really did enjoy, though it was a pity that she could not do so during the night when it would be safest for her to venture out. Still, being a half breed still had its advantages and she knew that at the current hour of the day she could stay out until curfew without having to worry. It was what she had planned on after all so as to avoid the risk she had previously and unwillingly brought upon herself the prior time. Another thing Kira decided was best was to go out to the lake instead of just wandering about the lawns. If something did happen like before she could probably find comfort in the water, though she thought it ironic that many muggle tales tell of supernatural creatures, including vampires, told that such creatures could not cross bodies of water, perhaps even really go in them either.
With the shake of her head she pulled her cloak tighter around her to block most of the sun from her skin, which still felt a little tender from her near fatal accident a couple of days before. Upon reaching the lake she stared out at the open water, letting her thoughts wander a bit for a while. There were several students on their way back to the castle already, though she had been late getting out to the lake anyway so it was understandable. After a while there was one student that caught her attention who did not seem to be leaving like the others were slowly doing and that was a girl swimming around in the lake still. She seemed familiar, though it was hard to get a very good look at her as she went in and out of the water.
"The water looks quite refreshing," she said as the girl appeared at the surface again. Upon getting a better look at her face she did recognize her. The girl was a Slytherin above her year she believed, Ellie or something similar if she had heard right. She was also known for practicing quidditch so much and Kira was sure she had seen her out on the pitch by herself quite a few times.
