"Drug poznayotsa v bede."
- Russian proverb ("A friend in need is a friend indeed.")
Paws softly landed on the sheets, quietly sneaked up the bed and eventually pounced Dimitri's chest. He groaned. "Net, Sappho.." Still, he half smiled and scratched her behind the ears. "Dobraye ootro. Just don't wake me up again this early when it's Sunday, okay?" He sighed and turned around again, but his pet was set on gaining its owner's attention and nuzzled his hair and face, purring and getting under the covers. Eventually, there was no getting around it: Dimitri was up and awake.
Still a little tired, though wide awake now, he got out of bed and streched, then shivered. The British climate had seemed so mild to him the first winter he had stayed there, but after about ten years, Dimitri had gotten used to it. He flung on a dressing gown and, yawning, shuffled downstairs, Sappho happily following him - hoping for something nice to eat, no doubt.
"What made you get up so early anyway, hm?" Dim mumbled to his kitten as he filled her bowl with the food she'd been begging him for all the way down. "You're not usually up that early, I'd say you're rather fond of sleeping - more than I am, even," he teased the animal a little. Sappho wasn't listening. Dimitri had put her bowl down while talking and it had absorbed her full attention.
"Did someone rouse you from your sleep, perhaps..?" Dimitri muttered to himself, walking towards the window and pulling the curtains back a little to peek outside.
He wouldn't be surprised if there'd be death eaters waiting outside. Times were hard and people were unreliable. It would only be logical if there was a death eater knocking on his door to try and persuade him to join them, especially concerning his dark background and his talent for it.
Dimitri was just about to close the curtains and make himself a cup of tea, when he noticed something moving in the corner of his eye...
