Be who they want to see:
Charli isn't a very extravagant looking girl. Probably the most noticeable part of her would be her hair. It is a bright, shiny, wave of red, which is usually seen gently cascading down her back. It is very long, but it is not very easy to work or deal with, so usually it is just left down, or maybe it is up in a haphazard bun or ponytail, or maybe even the occasional braids. Usually her hair is slightly messy, and when Charli was younger it was much messier--she had sort of a red afro. Luckily, the longer her hair grew and the older she got, the less frizzy and afro-like her hair started to look--although her hair isn't exactly perfect, as the one time she tried to straighten it, she ended up looking like a wet dog. Charli's hair is very thin and smooth-looking, and it is probably one of the only parts of her appearance that is likely to turn heads.
Charli's eyes are like little sparkly sapphires, A light blue in color, they contrast nicely with her red hair--if she does say so herself. Her irises are sort of star-burst-like in the way they are colored--the darkest shade of blue is around the outer edge of the pupil, and the rim of the iris itself. Charli's eyes are usually filled to the brim with an ever-changing mixture of mischief, challenge, and daring. They are sort of large, and they are nicely and softly integrated into her smooth, pale skin.
A few freckles dot the bridge pf her nose, and Charli's skin looks sort of like porcelain--smooth, pal, and seemingly fragile (no matter how hard she tries, tans are virtually impossible). her face is sort of roundly shaped, as if God knew when he sculpted her, that she would be continuously laughing, or at least smiling. Although her skin might be rather pale, her cheeks have at least a pleasant sort of glow to them. Other than that, though, you might say her face resembles notebook paper--the blue lines as the eyes, the red lines as the hair, and the white paper itself as her pale skin. Her red hair frames her face nicely, and altogether you could say she was a sort of pretty girl--she isn't beautiful, no, but she isn't exactly defined as ugly either.
Charli is sort of a petite girl. She is kinda of small for her age, but it has never really stopped her. She's not short, exactly, she's fun sized (you know, like the cute little candy-bars?). Usually you would think most of the boys would want the short, small girls--you know, they're so easy to cuddle, hold tight, and hug or whatever. But most of those little girls actually have curves--not Charli. her body is more angular, although she isn't completely flat, she's sure it won't last for long--her mother keeps randomly telling her that, which is sort of awkward. Charli has very long legs, and her arms aren't exactly short either. Against her wishes, her long limbs don't add anything at all to her height.
But the real strangeness is reserved for her sense--or lack of--style. Jewelry is a girl's best friend. You'll never see Charli without at least a few bracelets. Colors are also a girl's best friend--especially when they're neon and contrast to the point where they match. Charli is on love with patterns, and sometimes she even mixes and matches them. Recently, over the summer,Charli realized that she dressed kind of weirdly--so she toned it down slightly, which wasn't really necessary as the uniforms were reinforced.
But that leaves no one:
To discover that inside:
Charli is an extremely cheerful person, and you'll be hard-pressed to do or say something that will put her down for any amount of time. She lives in the moment, and 'the now' is basically pretty much all that matters to her. the past is the past, and you can't change it--she believes in regrets and such, but she absolutely does not believe in living in the past. She thinks that since you can't change what you have done, there is no use thinking about what could have been or what might have been--the only way things could be is how they currently are. This makes her a pretty practical and sensible person, and usually she is pretty down-to-Earth and level-headed.
She is very much energetic and bouncy. You don't need to wait for a sugar rush top see her more hyper side. You'll almost never see her completely exhausted, for she is good at finding ways to keep going even when she feels like giving up. Determination is key! Sports are a way she finds to exert some of her leftover energy, although she isn't a complete sport addict--she has never been one, and she most likely never will be one. Although she isn't the athletic, sporty chick, she still manages to stay active and healthy. Usually spry and sprightly, but do try not to get her overly excited--or be prepared for a few terrible long minutes of bouncing off the wall, and then some calm and collected attitude. Sometimes she can be too much, although usually she manages to keep her cool and not manage to be all too annoying.
One might call Charli the 'different' girl. She does things how she wants, and rules are just setbacks to her--setbacks that are generally ignored. She might sometimes be found doing things sort of frowned on by the general, rational, sane, and decidedly 'boring' people in today's society. Charli doesn't care about categories or labels that are so frequently handed out as you grow older, and she will ignore anyone who tries to mold her into 'one of them' or something that she is most definitely not. Not that she doesn't respect people who change who they are for reasons unknown to her, because it isn't really her place to criticize--even though she may not agree with people changing who they are, Charli can be described as accompanied with a pirate-y sort of swagger and aura, which suits her high-sailing, spunky, and fun personality quite well.
Yes, Charli is quite the daredevil. As a younger girl, she was the kid who would happily accept a dare to do a back-flip off of the monkey bars, and come to school the next day with a broken arm--and still smile about it, sort of even proud of herself. She loves the cool adrenaline rush that you get when you get when you do things that are daring. She'll give anything you throw at her a go--be it food, people, pl,aces, experiences, anything. Charli might be considered a crowd-pleaser, but attention-hogging or attention-getting is never really her aim. She sort of tends to gravitate to people who share this trait with her, because having a partner in crime is an exhilarating feeling. Solitude isn't a problem, though she prefers being around people more often.
Fear is something Charli always works hard at to vanquish. She has tried to keep it totally from her system, but it isn't easy at all. She isn't afraid of much, however, and what she is afraid of has a reason, and the fear is no where near the level of a phobia--unless she can help it. Her toughness goes hand in hand with her bravery, and she is anything but a pushover. You'll know if something is bothering her (usually) and you'll never be able to take advantage of her. Charli had been feared by bullies when she was younger, and admired by the victims of bullies--no one's lunch money was stolen and no one got beat up if she could help it (which, usually she could). Dealing with people is a strong point of hers, and along with being tough mentally, she is tough physically. She doesn't yearn to solve every problem with her fists, though she will throw in a good punch if it is necessary and acceptable.
Who isn't slightly nerdy? As a kid, Charli sometimes stayed in for recess to read some interesting history books--usually mythology and legends, maybe even just some good ole' war stories. You'll have a hard time stumping her in that subject, because World History is one of her strong points. She loves to travel, and she has extensive knowledge on every place she hopes to visit after college, and maybe even after high school. Charli loves to dream when it comes to this, and one of her great dreams of traveling involves leaving Paradise Pier and Maine as soon as possible and going out to sea, with pirates and a huge ship and a giant squid and loads and loads of pirate treasure.
Fun and slightly crazy are words that could most definitely be used to describe Charli. Life is love, no matter what it throws at you--all of it is there for a reason. So basically, Charli believes in two things to do when you get overwhelmed by obstacles and hardships--grin and bear it, or remind yourself that you only live life once; in other words, do whatever you want and be as crazy as you can. Usually the latter is what Charli decides to do, and when she goes into her little crazy-modes, she is completely giggly and it is impossible not to laugh with (or at) her. The life and soul of almost any group, Charli is sort of like a family's new puppy; clumsily scampering around and around on the hardwood floors, sliding and grinning.
Whose life isn't touched by ambition? Ambition is what keeps humans going. And with all that energy, Charli must have quite a bit of ambition to keep her going. Ambition is plentiful in her, although it is no where near the level at which she would be called 'arrogant'. Charli just sets high goals and standards, continually challenging herself. If she gets knocked down, she gets back up--face it baby, that's life. The harder it is to reach your goals, the prouder you will be and the greater the reward will be when you reach them. Charli goes for the gold, always--she knows that you should aim for the moon, because even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.
Charli is constantly looking for better things to do, and sometimes she might have a hard time staying focused on things she feels are a waste of time--mainly, homework. There is one thing that is guaranteed to occupy her for a while--get her into the swing of travel and history. Get her going on a long rant, or a story, or just get her daydreaming about her aspirations. Any of these will get her to stay still, or at least quiet, for a long while.
Charli is filled with a strange sense of wanderlust, never being able to stay in one place for too long--there is so much out there to experience, so much that she won't get to see if she continues to just sit on her butt in boring old Maine. She has always housed a strong desire to leave her home, sail out into unexplored waters, maybe with a friend or even a boy--she hasn't found just the right person yet, though.
Independent is a word that could easily be used to describe Charli. She isn't very concerned with others, as she feels most everyone should be capable of taking care of themselves and making their own decisions--independence is and important lesson to learn in your lifetime. Charlihas never really been much of a motherly figure due to her belief about not being concerned with others, and kids aren't one of her strong points--she can get sort of careless at time, which gets her into sticky places. Things are done however she wants them to be, which usually means she works alone--she's find with working in groups, though, as long as you can keep up!
Life is approached with carefree energy and enthusiasm, excited at all the opportunities life presents. Charliviews life through a magnifying glass, paying attention to the little things and the intricate details, seeing each and every tree as well as the forest it makes up. Each day is a gift, and enjoying it is most important, and you only live once. Although Charli doesn't dwell on the past, she does look to the future--she loves to dream and imagine about what could be.
Charli has been known to act rashly at times. She usually quickly makes decisions, sometimes without considering the consequences. The young are young for that reason though--to make mistakes. And mistakes are made so that they can be learned from. No matter the ups and downs, you'll make it through--even if you make quite a few mistakes and act a bit too rashly at times.
What kind of teenager is one who isn't sarcastic? Charli uses sarcasm a ton, but usually it's not in a sneering way, but more of a funny, witty way. Charli uses many witty remarks, and she is an unusually intelligent girl. She is quick-thinking with a sharp tongue, and jokes and sarcasm are just some things she is good at.
