Let me tell you, a little something about myself[/color]
Silvanus never grew up in a home where he was left wanting. He had a little sister, but they were both treated extremely well. Their parents were not the richest on the block, but they certainly got by. Being Pureblood, their parents taught Silvanus and his sister their bigoted ways against anyone who wasn't Pureblood. However, being interested in Care of Magical Creatures taught Silvanus that not being just human wasn't really a bad thing.
Silvanus' years in Hogwarts were fairly easy. There were few subjects he had difficulty in, and his looks caused him to get any girl that he desired. Having so many choices meant that he never actually settled down, it just made him big-headed. He had also been in Slytherin in his time at school.
After he graduated, he wasn't sure what he had wanted to do with his life. His professors had urged him to be an Auror, but he didn't care much for that. He tried running his own business, but failed due to being, well, lazy. Finally, he decided to return to Hogwarts to teach Care of Magical Creatures. Originally, they had been skeptical about bringing him into the school as a Professor, but they eventually relented.
Teaching at Hogwarts made Silvanus' mindset different. He had to be there 24/7, and it was like he reverted back to being a teenager. Due to this, he got along with students well, but perhaps a little too well. After rumours of Silvanus going after seventh and sixth year girls, he got an official warning, saying his job would be on the line if any more rumours got out. It doesn't mean that Silvanus doesn't spend some 'extra' time 'tutoring' some of the older students.
