The bell rang out across the grounds and Serena put her books away. She slung her backpack over her back and headed out of Greenhouse five. It wasn't that she hated Herbology, it was just that she wasn't as good at it as she was some other subjects. She'd much rather be in muggle studies or failing that charms or care of magical creatures.
Hurrying out of the greenhouse as fast as she could, she accidentally bumped into another student, knocking his books to the floor. "I'm so sorry!" She said in almost a whisper. She helped to gather up the books before heading up to the castle as fast as she could. She wanted to get lunch fast and then spend the rest of her lunch break in the library before she had to go to Divination.
Sitting down at the Hufflepuff table, she spooned some mash potato on to her plate and had a couple of sausages and gravy. She ate quickly and had a goblet of water before walking calmly up to the library. She didn't want to hurry too fast because she'd just eaten and she didn't want to get into any sort of trouble with a professor or prefect for running through the corridors.
Coming to the library, someone pushed the door open and knocked Serena to the ground. The other student started apologising and then just walked off. Serena stood up and dusted herself off. "No problem. I'm fine." She said in her soft, quiet voice, even though the other person had hurried off quite fast and was far out of range.
Walking into the library everything was quiet, Serena walked up to Madam Pince's desk and waited patiently for the librarian to arrive. Eventually when she did, Serena could barley hold in her excitement. She'd come every day for the past week, hoping the new books Madam Pince had ordered in had arrived. "Has my book arrived yet, Madam Pince?" She asked eagerly in her gentle Irish voice but Madam Pince shook her head. Darn Serena thought I was sure it would be here today. But instead of leaving the library and getting ready for her next lesson, Serena let herself fall quite heavily into a comfortable chair, tucked away in a corner of the library (that she was often known to inhabit) with a slight "Hmph." she was now in a little bit of a mood and really couldn't be bothered with getting to Divination on time, if she decided to go at all.

Reese quietly sat in the middle of the classroom taking notes on a peice of parchment, rapidly dipping his quill in ink as soon as it ran out so that he didn't miss a single word that Professor McGonagall spoke about their current lesson in Transfiguration class. Human Transfiguration. While they'd taken time learning some of it last year, this was much more advanced transfiguration, only for the best of the best of students that survived N.E.W.T level classes with McGonagall. Once she was finished talking, she decided to give the class a demonstration of just what she was planning on teaching them how to do. Just as soon as she finished asking the class for a volunteer, Zabini was the first to raise his hand, earning a few laughs and snickers from his fellow Slytherins who usually sat in the back of the class while he was in the middle. Just as McGonagall called his name, Reese stood up and made his way up to her, doing as she directed him to and stood beside her, facing the class before him. The many girls all stared back at him with looks of admiration at his incredible good looks, and he certainly looked back, though his attention was stolen by the Professor as she then explained what she was going to do to Reese to the rest of the class.
Luckily, before Professor McGonagall had the chance to turn Reese into a most comfortable arm-chair, the bell for lunch rang and she dismissed her class which left in a hurry, telling them all that they'd pick up where they left off the next time they would meet for class. Making his way through the last of the exiting people, Reese picked up the heavy Transfiguration text book they were using for this year, and shoved the unravel parchment of notes into the open pages that they had been instructed to read last night for class today. Placing a cap upon his bottle of ink and his quill safely away from anything it could put a mark on, Zabini exited the classroom last before joining up with the gang of Slytherin boys whom he usually hung out with. On their way to the Great Hall, they'd teased him mercilessly about how he was such a teacher's pet and all for being the first to raise his hand volunteering for Professor McGonagall as if he were one of her precious Gryffindors or something.
For lunch, all Reese decided that he'd have time to eat would be a nice serving of the mashed potatoes and a few of the delicious sausages the school had out today with a goblet of pumpkin juice. Enjoying a bit of the on-going conversation that the group had started up last night down in the dungeons, Reese laughed a bit before it hit him that he had a prior engagement that he should've been getting to. Hopping up from the table with quick speed, Reese rushed as fast as the teachers would allow him to go before they considered it running to the revolving staircase, taking it all the way up to the third floor where the school's Library was located, pulling open the door as soon as he got there, rushing inside and down an isle.
Now that he was inside, Reese could finish up what he'd set out to do and what he should've done before. Finding a seemingly quiet place to sit down, Reese pulled the heavy Transfigurations book from his bag and opened it up to the page that had been saved by his parchment of notes from earlier. Removing the parchment and placing it somewhere else, Reese continued his bit of reading that he had been too tired to do last night, thankfully McGonagall hadn't asked too many questions about the part he hadn't read. A few minutes into his reading, and there was a slight disturbance across from him, the heavy sound of someone plopping down into one of the chairs present in the little corner of the library. Lifting his head up, Reese looked over toward the Hufflepuff student, glaring at her plainly as he opened his mouth. "Shut it, I'm trying to read here." He told her, before turning his attention back to the words on the page infront of him.

Serena heard a familiar voice telling her off and telling her to 'shut it'. To her that really could have been any student but the familiarity of the voice started to give her a sensation of butterflies. She looked about from the direction the voice was coming in before her eyes landed on Reese Zabini. For a second she felt her heart skip a beat and she thought she was going to be sick. She hadn't spotted him when she had come in and truthfully she hadn't expected to see him in the library. She thought he should have had a lesson now but that was his old timetable. She had to get a hold of his new one and memorise it and soon.
Shifting about in her chair she pulled at her school robes to straighten them out a little. She felt like she had a frog in her throat and that she should say something to him but she didn't know what. He was so handsome and strong and an amazing quidditch player but he would never like her. She was just a half blood and he wasn't one to associate with half bloods because he was a Slytherin that only liked pure bloods like most Slytherins did.
"Oh, I - uh, yes, quiet. I didn't - sorry. I should - oh!" Serena fidgeted with her robes and her seating position in her chair. Her soft Irish accent was ruined as she stuttered and stumbled over her words not knowing what to say to Reese or where to go. She wasn't sure if she should stay or make herself scarce. She wanted to sit and watch him but it would be too obvious from here but she didn't want to move because where else would she go? She still wanted to be in the library and still wanted to sit in her seat.
