Let me tell you, a little something about myself[/color]
Serena was born to Terry and Marjorine Aurora. She was a middle child of a large half blood family. She grew up with plenty of brothers and sisters in Ireland and each of her siblings was known for something, usually to do with their personalities, Serena was known as the quiet one because she was never loud enough to shout above the noise her siblings made, or her parents shouting at them all but it was never really in her nature to be loud.
Apart from coming from an exceedingly large family life was pretty easy going for Serena. They never had enough money for the finer things in life, but her parents worked hard, loved all of their children and provided a roof over their heads and food on the table every meal time.
Never having been able to afford much growing up, Serena spent a lot of her time at the local muggle library reading all sorts of fictional books. Murder mysteries, fantasies, horror etc. It was there her interest in books and the muggle world was spiked and she started reading about cars and machinery and finding out how it all worked.
Being in the middle of all her siblings, Hogwarts was just not a big deal when the time came for Serena, her eldest siblings had been thrilled and her parents for them, but by the time it was her turn to go, she had hand-me-down robes and books. Her parents saved every time so that each of their children could have a new wand and Serena knew she would cherish her wand above everything else. It was the only thing that was hers that she had owned and that had never belonged to someone else.
Upon her arrival at Hogwarts Serena was stunned, the school was far more beautiful than she had ever imagined. The stories from her siblings and parents could never have compared to the beauty and wonder the castle held for her, especially the library, stocked full with magical books from ceiling to floor.
The library practically became Serena's second home while at Hogwarts. She spent more time there than she did in her dorm. She never made any real friends but was always accommodating for anyone that was in need of her help in any sort of way whether it school work or help finding lost property.
Some say Serena would have done well in ravenclaw with her never ending thirst for knowledge, but she is more than content in Hufflepuff and those that have spent any sort of time observing her could see why the house of the badger suits her so well.
