Let me tell you, a little something about myself[/color]
Charity Michelle Burbage was born an only child. Her parents separated when she was thirteen years old and in her third year of Hogwarts but before that her life had been ideal and she had been very certain that nothing could go wrong for her.
Charity was born to Michael and Jacqueline Burbage one mild day in April. She had no other brothers or sisters and no younger ones ever came along due to difficulties between Michael and Jacqueline's relationship over Jacqueline's inability to conceive again. Charity was there little miracle baby really and was spoiled growing up by both her parents.
Both of Charity's parents were from magical families, making Charity a pure blooded witch but there was always something she couldn't understand. On her father's side of the family there were a few relatives that she had heard talking nastily about 'mudbloods' and 'muggle borns' and all though it took a few more years to understand what they had meant Charity did not understand why they didn't like muggle borns.
Growing up in a wizarding household meant that Charity wasn't really faced with a lot of muggle things or the muggle way of life, but once she was accepted to Hogwarts and sorted into Hufflepuff Charity became to realise that her father's family weren't the only ones that disliked muggle borns.
Charity made a few close friends in Hogwarts that were in her house and a couple other friends that she wasn't quite as close to in other houses but she never became friends with a Slytherin because when she had been at school they really were the bad ones and had caused a lot of trouble and called her friends a lot of dirty and disgusting names.
Being the free-spirit and exceedingly loyal and passionate loud mouthed person she was made Charity into a fighter and not one to sit back and take the sort of name calling, taunts and threats of magical and physical violence that came her way. If someone threatened her with magic, she got in before they could and if someone threatened her with violence she had thrown the first punch along with the second third and fourth before they had even realised what was going on.
Boys never really interested Charity much while she was at Hogwarts because her passions had been her friends and muggle studies. Outside of Hogwarts was a completely different matter. Charity immersed herself in the muggle world by living amongst them in a muggle community and learning how they managed in their every day lives. She got a job in a muggle technical shop and fell in love. Repeatedly.
Charity fell for so many different guys and they for her, but like her parents marriage it never lasted. She married twice and divorced twice and started dating another man, all muggle borns. Before, between, after and sometimes even during her marriages she had other lovers, males and females but mostly males. Charity was never afraid of anyone's opinion of her and liked to keep her private life private.
Charity broke up with her last boyfriend and there was a big fuss and threats were made. She was abused and for the first time she used magic in front of a muggle. He had no idea she was a witch until she had him hanging upside down by his ankles, staring at him through her blooded black and blue eyes. Charity was twenty-seven at this point and decided that now was the time to start blending back into the wizarding world, but she didn't hate muggles for what her one ex had done to her and so she went to Dumbledore and seeked out the position of muggle studies Professor. She was not needed straight away and so she stayed close by, working in Hogsmeade until one visit from Dumbledore saved her from being a waitress at the worst tea-house the universe would ever see.
Charity has been the muggle studies Professor at Hogwarts for almost eight years and helps Dumbledore with the Order if her requests it of her though she is more of a supporter than an active member.
