Let me tell you, a little something about myself[/color]
Oliver McLaggen was a muggleborn, but that did not stop both him and his brother Tiberius Sr. from becoming influential men in the Wizarding World. They both started working at the Ministry shortly after they graduated, and before too long, Tiberius became adviser to the Minister and Oliver head of the hit-wizard squads. The choices of Sue Goldwell were almost as surprising as two muggleborn boys achieving such things, however, as she was a pureblood witch expected to do nothing but marry and have children. That wasn’t the life she wanted for herself, however, so against her parents’ wishes, she started training to be a healer once she graduated from Hogwarts. A few years later, while visiting a wounded partner in St. Mungo’s, Oliver was officially introduced to Sue, and it did not take long for the two to start dating and subsequently get married.
Alastor was born in April of 1979. As his mother was a pureblood, he was brought up around magic, and like his father, he displayed signs of magical talent at an early age. He was also frequently taken to Quidditch matches and various social gatherings with other influential witches and wizards, so it was no surprise that he came to see himself as one of them. His younger sister was born not long after himself, and Alastor never learned to be happy with sharing the attention.
Alastor got his acceptance letter to Hogwarts the summer before he attended and he was very excited. He knew that he would be attending, as he had been displaying some magical qualities since he was six or seven. He tried to get on the Quidditch team for the first three years of Hogwarts, and failed, due to age, or level of ability. Whatever the reason, he was finally allowed on the team as Keeper during his fourth year when the keeper had to go to St. Mungo's after being hexed violently by a Slytherin. He was kept for the rest of the year and then was reinstated as keeper the following year.
