The building itself was beautiful Emmeline knew, in fact it was the only reason she had wanted to own this place. The small church come Apothecary was alone in its own little dead end road, it was the only building left from when muggleborns had tried to include their muggle religion into the magical world, it hadn't gone over well with some of the pureblood families and it was only shortly after this church was finished that the whole pro-christian group was wiped out in a still unknown explosion that managed to spread from house to house in the middle of the night killing whole family's. The building had been under lock and key since then and it was only Emmeline pushing the fact that she was pureblood and showing off her plans that she had been allowed to buy the place.
Inside it was as she expected, the roof had leaks, the wood was damp and crumbling under her feet, the old oak front door had resisted any attempt she had made to open it with the key, so much so that she had finally lost her patience and blow the thing up. Surrounded by splinters of wood now Emmeline looked into the gloom of her new shop with her breath held. There was more water damage than she had been expecting and a few scorch marks we dotted around the large room beyond from what she could see they looked like spell marks, nothing she couldn't fix. What worried her though was the floor, even from where she stood she could see that the middle of the wooden floor had at one point collapsed, the building hadn't been cheap and she had a feeling that getting the place suitable enough to not only brew but sell potions in was going to cost her twice as much.
"Grrreat" She sighed, rolling her r's had become a bit of a habit of her's so she ignored her slip as she turned from the building to glare at a near by innocent tree "Now what?"
