Narcissa had just finished attending another charity function for with her mother, though had made excuses not to stay longer than she had too knowing that she most likely would end up having being told that it wasn’t the “Black “thing to do but if she had to stay there a minute more listening to old ladies asking her when she was going to settle down and marry a worthy pureblood male she would either scream or hex them all where they stood. Sure her parents had hinted a few times that there was an arrangement with one of the oldest pure blood families for her hand in marriage to their son, but the name of the family had never been mentioned for some reason so there was still hope in her heart that Lucius would fall in love with her and ask her to be his wife.
After making her way into the Leaky Cauldron and ordering a Elderflower mead, she forced her way over to the comfortable chairs by the fire noticing that a few of the people at the tables stop their talking to watch her. Slipping off her long coat, she placed it on the side of the chair before relaxing into it and taking a small sip of the mead. The warmth was just what she needed, just as the time away from her family was needed once more; thing between Bellatrix and Andromeada were often heated making life more stressful than it was at other times. Allowing her eyes to close while savouring the taste, she rested her head back blocking out the noise until she sensed that the other chair had been occupied.
Opening her eyes again her heart started to beat faster at the sight before, there sat the man of her dreams and thoughts most of the time. Lucius looked to her like what she had heard people say angels looked like, his blond hair and light blue eyes taking her breath away. Smiling she sipped her drink before finally saying something. “Hello Lucius, how are you?”

The life, that he had chosen at this point, Lucius was having second thoughts. It truly was starting to be a pain.. Some days he wished that he would listened to his father, and gotten a decent job, However there was no going back now. Abraxas Malfoy was truly proud of his son. If father was happy with Lucius' that's what mattered. With a sigh.. he made his way into the Leaky Caudron. His mind thought about... how he wished his parents would say yes or no of.. the person he was going to marry was a Black or not. If it was.. he hoped that it was Narcissa, and not Bellatrix.
At the bar, he was talking to the person who owned the place, about this and that that. When she walked in. Narcissa Charis Black. The most lovely of the Black women. He bid the owner goodbye, and took fire whiskey with him. Since she had her eyes closed, he just pulled out the chair and sat down. The sound of her voice was lovely, as were her lovely eyes, and soft blond hair. It took Lucius a moment before he could gather himself and respond.
"Hello, Narcissa, I am quite well.. How are you?" He questioned her with a soft smile. She truly was breathe taking in his eyes. He took a sip of his fire whiskey, as he waited to hear her lovely voice once more. The voice that made him melt, into a pile of Lucius goo. For sometime now.. he had wanted to ask her out.. on a date or something. However.. if she wasn't the one that he was supposed to marry. He truly didn't want his father to be upset with him. That was the last thing on earth, that Lucius ever wanted. Abraxas Malfoy upset with him. He feared his father almost more than anything on this earth. Even though there was nothing wrong that he'd ever done.. it was just the thought of disappointment that he didn't like.. his mind was soon drawn out of his thoughts by her voice, he out the mug, down on the table between them. As he wished that there was nothing between them.

Narcissa’s heart stopped and then kicked into over drive when Lucius smiled at her, if she had been standing her legs would have become weak and fallen to the floor; which is most certainly not the place for a pure blood female much less a Black. She had seen two sides to Lucius over the years they were in Hogwarts together even though he was two years older than her; one was the public side where he could make you feel as if you were the scum of the earth or his best friend. Then there was the side of him she was seeing now, were she was feeling as if his world revolved around her and she really wished it could be this way forever. Returning his smile she finally answered his question realising that she had been silently spending too much time looking at his perfect face, but oh what a perfect face it was to get lost in. “I am well thank you. Mother has been trying to keep me busy and out of trouble by volunteering my time to head her charity work, as you may know it can get rather boring and tedious. Are you keeping busy lately?”
Lifting her drink from the table she held it on her hands trying to give them something to do other than ring together under the table, taking a sip she allowed her eyes to skim over his perfect face taking in how he was wearing his hair to how his eyes silver eyes had a spark to them. Oh how she wished it was him that she was destined to spend the rest of her life with, she had even dreamed of what their children would look like when they decided they wanted to have kids; at that thought she blushed a little. “So tell me how is your cousin Tanith coping being back at school? Last time I saw her, was in Diagon Alley and after we bumped into each other I offered to help her find a better dress maker than Madam Malkin. Oh forgive me please for being rude and not asking how your parents are as well, I did not mean to be so muggle like.”
She placed a petite hand on her chest, ashamed that she had forgotten one of the biggest things that her parents had drummed into them as children; when meeting other pure bloods it is a must to ask about their parent’s health early in the conversation. It was something she would have to punish herself for when she returned home, for she needed to be as perfect as she could especially in front of Lucius.

The sound of her voice was entrancing. It made Lucius feel things that he'd never felt before. He leaned on the table, how he just wanted to reach for her hand. But he forbid himself to such things. Her mother had been keeping her busy? Typical Mrs. Black. Dare Lucius tell her what he had been doing? He knew that her sister Bellatrix, the rather insane one was part of the same group that he was. So perhaps she knew.. Lucius couldn't stand Bellatrix but he tolerated her for the most part most of the time. He knew if Narcissa was the one.. he was going to marry which he sure hope she was he was going to have to get used to her.
"Busy enough, even though I don't have a paying job, mind you that anger's my father quite a bit but I do think that he is getting over it." Lucius leaned a bit more on the table as he took a sip of his fire whiskey. Narcissa asked about his cousin. And his parents, lovely Cissa muggle like? Never. He gave her a soft charming smile before he spoke once more. "She is doing well enough, I suppose, I have been a bit busy lately and have failed to keep in such close contact with her, as I'd like to... my parents are well.. father is annoyed at me like always that's not new. Mother is proud of her only son." To a point Lucius was a tad bit of a momma's boy. She pampered him and took care of him.. while his father cursed at him for being a failure of a son.
He had made himself a vow that he'd never be like that to his son. If he ever had one. But he had a feeling that apple's didn't fall too far from the tree. And that he was becoming more and more like Abraxas everyday. After returning the mug to the table he spoke once more. "And your family, Narcissa how are they?" It was polite to ask. And he did want to make sure that the fellow pureblood community was well. That's what mattered. The pureblood's and select halfblood's (like the dark lord) not the filthy muggles. Lucius' finger tapped softly on the side of the mug as he waited to her hear lovely voice once more.

Continuing to watch Lucius left Narcissa not know what to do with her hands anymore, and if she continued to hold her glass of mead it would be undrinkable. Placing her glass down she folded her hands on the table, leaning forwards so that she could shut the rest of the establishment out and just concentrate on looking and listening to Lucius. A smile lit her face as he talked about his family, though she really didn’t normally get along with Tanith the day they had ended up shopping together went rather well and they hadn’t ended up killing each other like they might have if they had been that same age. Cover her mouth as she lightly giggled when he said his father wasn’t impressed that he wasn’t working but his mother was proud like always, she had often heard how Mrs Malfoy was always proud of her only child.
Without thinking she placed her hands on top of his, lightly patting it in a manner that spoke that she knew what he was going through when it came to his family. So far things were far from good in her extended family; Andromeda was being stubborn and not following what the rest of the family thought, Bellatrix was having more and more mood swings that it was hard to be in her company for more than fifteen minutes and as for her cousin’s one was classed as a blood traitor and the other was being strange and trying to ask questions that she didn’t care to answer. As for her parents they seemed to be so much more concerned with being a pureblood than they ever had before. “My family are as good as can be in times like these, thank you for asking. Mother and father are doing everything that they can to keep the proud name of the Black family going strong, but there are a few that are trying to tarnish the name though that is not to spread any further than you and I for I feel that I can trust you not to tell anyone else.”
Finally realising that her hands where now resting on top of Lucius hands and that they were out in the public eye, she slowly started to remove them nearly whimpering at the loss of that closeness that a simple touch was giving her.
