It was the last weekend before the Christmas holidays, and like usual, Sirius found it within himself to throw a party. He was going to throw it within the Gryffindor common room, but was told by McGonagall that she was not in the mood this year, and if he tried to have a party in the common room, then she would personally unceremoniously toss him onto the train back to his home, and make it within her power that he didn't go home with the Potters. So Sirius decided to have the party outdoors instead.
Sirius knew the forest like the back of his hand, due to the fact he had been adventuring back there for years now. He knew the perfect spot that he could bring students back to ... it wasn't so far back that they would be in any imminent danger (as far as he was aware), and also wouldn't be found by any other professor other than Kettleburn; but he doubted Kettleburn would mind. In fact, he wouldn't be surprised if the Professor had joined them!
Sirius had made his way out hours before everyone else. Like usual, he had a theme. This theme was beach theme. He had decided that the party would be at an opening not far from the lake. There were enough trees to block the party and the fires he was going to procure, but close enough to the lake that people could slip away if they felt like it. Enjoy the moon over the lake and all that schnazz.
He set up fires all over the place. He had transfigured normal trees into palm trees (although McGonagall had been in awe about why Sirius was coming for extra help just to learn how to Transfigure trees, of all things). He had even managed a special someone in Hogsmeade to lend him their surfboards that they had bought while on vacation to Australia. He had promised he would return them in one piece... he hoped he could make it. He also had dug a hole (magically, of course), carved out a couple seats and filled it with hot water... like a hot tub. He had miraculously been able to levitate many benches from various locations at Hogwarts up to the location for people to sit on. He also did his best to remove as much snow as possible, but it was rather difficult.
After decorating some more, his last move was to cover the place in a sort of shield in hopes of keeping the heat from the fires in. It wouldn't be much of a beach party if people were just going to freeze to death. When he looked around himself, he noticed that the shield also managed to keep out the raging snow storm. It had a cool effect in which you could see the snow storm all around them, but you couldn't feel it. Keeping in the heat was working well, too.
Once everyone had found the party, Sirius had full intentions of putting up a better shield to make them invisible to passers-by. He was so thankful he was talented at magic, or else this would have been impossible to do by himself. He had already sent all the invitations, and when he was done, he immediately stripped down to his outfit he had decided to wear. It may not have been as racy as he would have normally chose to wear, but after his thong at the jungle-themed party, he doubted he could out-do himself. He just wanted to see who would try to imitate him from that moment by wearing a thong to this one... he was just hoping it would be a lady.

Remus stayed at Hogwarts for the Christmas holidays, as per usual, really. He would've liked to go home to his family, but there was no way to get around the full moon in the Christmas holidays, it was always there, and it was easier for Remus to transform at school than at home, anyway. Remus sort of hoped Annelise would also remain at school, but didn't think she would. After all, she was the only child now, thanks to Fenrir Greyback, and Remus didn't doubt her parents wanted her home for the holiday season. It was only for a few weeks - he wouldn't die if she wasn't there. It wasn't quite the Christmas Holidays yet, though. This was the last weekend, and Sirius had been cooking up something.. Remus wasn't even sure what, he'd been trying to pry it out of his friend and, when that hadn't worked, guessed he would find out eventually because Sirius sometimes asked him for help with the spellwork - but apparently Sirius had gone to MacGonagall this time, so Remus could only guess..
Then again, Sirius had never been very good at keeping secrets. Or, at least, he couldn't keep his mouth shut about things he was excited about - and Sirius was excited about this party of his, so in the end, Sirius had told Remus when and where it would be - and the theme, of course. A beach theme for Christmas, hylarious but strangely brilliant! Remus thought that everyone (whoever was invited) would probably love it. He knew he would, he didn't like winter much, being more of a summer sunny person. He also went to the place of the party a little early, just to see if he could help Sirius with any details before going to pick up Annelise. He knew it wasn't very far into the forest, but he just wanted to pick up Annelise. Not to make her feel safe or something, he just.. wanted to. Would be proper, right? Either way, by the time he arrived, the place already looked pretty amazing. "You should become a professional party planner after school," he complemented his friend, grinning and nodding. "You're good at this kind of thing." Remus leaned against a palm tree and looked at one of the hot tubs Sirius had crafted. "The water's so clear, what filtering spell did you use?" he asked, generally interested. "Apart from the fires, how were you planning to keep the place warm?" Remus was currently wearing a long, dark, warm coat. "Are you expecting people to show up in dress code?" If so, Sirius was going to need more than a few fires to keep people from hypothermia! Then again.. Remus looked at the barrier around him and nodded slightly. "Ooh - keeping the heat in!" He grinned. "Clever." There was no denying Sirius had definitely grown in the past year, not just emotionally, but certainly magically as well.
As people started to arrive at the party (and it began to be obvious to Remus that Sirius did, indeed, expect people to come dressed according to the theme), he nudged his friend a second. "I'm going to pick up Annelise - and I just remembered we've had this bottle of goblin absynth at the dorm for ages, want me to bring it?" he asked, putting his coat back on to brave the snow storm outside the barrier.

It wasn't exactly that Sirius was trying to hide the party from his friends, it was just... he wanted to do something by himself for once. He wanted to say that he had learned how to Transfigure the trees or the hot tubs without Remus' help, wanted to be able to say he thought of the theme without Peter and that he created the shield without James. As much as he loved his friends, and particularly their help, he also wanted to prove that he could sometimes do things by himself. Besides, with James and Peter M.I.A lately, it was hard for him to go to them anyways.
It wasn't long before Sirius could sense he wasn't alone. No, he couldn't sense people in the same werewolf-y way that Remus could, but it was like ever since he became an Animagus, his hearing had become somewhat better. He heard the cracking of the twigs, and for some reason he had expected it to be Lena. He had no reason for why he had expected it to be her - he hadn't spoken to Lena in forever anyways. When he noticed it was Remus, Sirius' face broke into a wide smile.
"So, what do you think?" Sirius asked, happily, motioning to all of his work behind him. He laughed at Remus' suggestion. "Party planner? You're telling me that swim-wear model wasn't the first thing that came to your mind when you first saw me?"
Sirius grinned in a joking way. He could only imagine how angry his family would be if he became a model - better yet, if he became a model for some Muggle agency. The image in his mind almost made him laugh out loud, but he would never do that. Truthfully, he didn't know what he'd want to do after school, not one bit. But as far as he was aware, he wasn't any further behind than any of his other friends. None of them had voiced to him what they wanted to do with the rest of their lives, and certainly Remus would have the hardest time.
Sirius found that Remus was rambling, so instead of cutting him off, he just listened. It amused him.
"Moony... are you nervous about something?" Sirius asked in a mock-accusatory voice. He didn't even bother trying to answer any of Remus' questions, as he was fairly sure that Remus answered them all for him. Even if he hadn't, a magician never reveals his secrets, does he? He looked Remus up and down, and then said, "Are you not dressing up?"
Sirius frowned somewhat. He had worked hard on making the party come together by himself, and would no doubt get detention for moving the benches without the school's permission, as well as the unlikely chance of him being caught sneaking back into the common room at some unGodly hour. The least he hoped from his friends was that they were going to dress up and be good sports about the whole thing. Then again, he didn't want to say this out loud in case he was to say something that he didn't mean.
Sirius then noticed people arriving, and was glad to see that, like usual, the girls would come wearing as little as possible. It was wonderful how little he could make girls wear by just throwing a party. It was very easy, and he doubted very much how proud their parents would be about how quickly their daughters took their clothes off. Not that Sirius minded. Just as he was getting distracted by the pretty ladies, he realized that Remus was talking to him. Sirius shook his head and caught the last part of Remus' sentence, completely not hearing the part about Remus picking up Annelise.
"Yeah, sure, that would be great," Sirius answered in a somewhat distracted voice as he looked around at his wonderful creation. He frowned at the current lack of people rushing over to talk to him, so he turned back to his friend and handed him the cloak he had been wearing to set up the party. "You better take this, I won't be needing it."

Really, Remus wasn't insulted that Sirius had organised this all on his own. Better yet, really, he had come early just to be there in case Sirius had forgotten something, so he could help him fix it. He wasn't there for any sort of credit, absolutely not, and he was very glad to find that his friend had organised everything perfectly - including all details. He couldn't help but feel proud. He grinned back at Sirius when he greeted him, clapping his friend's shoulder and laughing. "What I think? It's absolutely epic!" Remus walked around, chuckling as he spotted the benches from school. Sirius was going to get in trouble for that, but that would be totally worth it. "Party planner? You're telling me that swim-wear model wasn't the first thing that came to your mind when you first saw me?" The corner of Remus' mind twitched. "Sirius, the first time I saw you, we were eleven," he said dryly. "Plus in case you haven't noticed, I'm not a shirtlifter." He laughed softly again. "I suppose you could be a swim-wear model if you wanted to, though. You should give it a try, I wonder when you'll really grow sick of all the attention," he joked.
"Moony... are you nervous about something?" His eyebrows shot up. Was he? Remus hadn't really thought about being nervous about anything, they were just going to party and have fun, right? He shrugged a little. "Maybe?" He half smiled. "I told Annelise about - you know, but that conversation went rather well, so I can't be nervous about that, right?" He hadn't really told Sirius about his conversation with Annelise yet, he hadn't been able to find a right moment and it wasn't like it was that big a deal, right? So he'd told someone. His girlfriend. And they were still together, no big deal, right? To be honest, he was a little glad when Sirius asked about him dressing up. "Hmm? Oh, yeah - I will. Just going to pick up Annelise first." He nodded and smiled. "Wouldn't dream of being a party pooper," Rem assured his friend and smiled. He was just going to pick up Annelise and ask her to help him glamour up his arms and legs to hide the worst of his scars. There was no way they could get rid of them all, probably, and Remus wasn't sure how long the glamour would hold, but it would at least make it seem less bad. Part of him didn't know why he bothered. Hadn't Rita Skeeter told the entire school about his scars in that stupid excuse for a newsletter last year? Then again.. reading something was one thing, seeing quite another.
The fellow-students arriving seemed pretty excited about this and Remus smiled. Sirius had outdone himself and everyone seemed to think so. Also, his theme had worked well - because let's not fool anyone, this was a way for Sirius to see hot chicks in bathing suits. Everyone knew it, including the hot chicks, so there was no harm, really. "Yeah, sure, that would be great." For a moment, Remus was tempted to ask Sirius something else (something like 'and will you wash Pete's dirty socks for a month?') because he knew his friend was distracted, which meant the answer would probably be 'yeah, sure' again. He stopped himself, tough, took Sirius' cloak and told him he'd be back in a flash.
It was quite a difference, the party and the snow outside, and Remus gasped for a moment, cringing at the cold and running back towards the school as quick as his legs could carry him. Cold, cold, cold.. part of him just wanted to run back, but no, he'd promised Annelise he'd pick her up. First, he stopped at his own dorm to pick up that bottle of Absynth and change. His costume wasn't very revealing, but reveiling enough for Remus' tastes. A pair of bermuda's covering his legs untiljust past his knees, a brightly coloured hawaii shirt and paper flower-chain on his torso. He also had slippers to wear, but he wasn't walking through the snow with those! He would wear a pair of wellies and change his footwear at the party later. After checking he had everything he needed (wand in his back pocket), he exited the tower and walked towards the Hufflepuff dorms quickly. All they needed to do was a touch of glamour over his lower arms and legs and they were good to go for a night of fun - Remus was quite in for a night of fun.

Ah Christmas. A time to spend with family and loved ones at home, which is where a lot of people had gone. Lena had decided to stay at the school because it was just easier than being at home. And Remus had decided to stay over the break as well so that made things a little better to handle, even if her best friend was spending most of his time with his new girlfriend. She didn’t mind all that much and, in fact, was extremely happy for Rem and Annelise. They were really nice together and she was glad it had all worked out. The difference was just that she was now stuck hanging around in the dorms or library and reading more. But with the birthday present she’d gotten from Remus, she was pretty glad for the time to just be able to read it. Katsurou had seemed to be a bit busy lately too so she hadn’t seen much of him either and she hoped it meant he was getting along well with all the other students lately.
Today was the only day that anything would really be going on during the break except Christmas Eve and Morning. Sirius’ Christmas Party was tonight and she had really actually not planned to go because things were still awkward between the two of them but she figured that maybe he would be too busy being a host and flirting with the other girls, that she would be basically invisible and so could still enjoy the party. After that she just grabbed her bathing suit that she didn’t actually get to wear that often, when it was hot enough to go into the lake she was generally too busy with class, so at least it would get some use with the beach theme. It only took her a few minutes to pull the black suit on, brush her hair and pull it into a ponytail with her hair falling in waves down her back, and to pull the hat on that goes with the suit. She studied herself in the mirror then puffed out a soft breath, figuring she had to go now, or never. From the mostly empty sounds of the dorm, Lena figured just about all the others had already left. She grabbed some sneakers and pulled them on, as well as her cloak, and tucked her sandals in the pocket of her jacket as she left to head to the Forbidden Forest. Once she got to the Great Hall she cast a self heating charm on herself to keep her warm before she left and hurried down to where the party should be.
Lena burst through the bubble of warmth near the lake and felt the instant change. The self heating charm was removed as well as the cloak and sneakers before she slid the sandals on and set her stuff down in one spot where they hopefully wouldn’t be trampled. She took another breath before looking around, wondering if any of her friend’s had gotten here yet.

Annelise wasn't even aware of the Christmas Party until Remus had brought it up randomly, as if he had expected her to know about it. She wasn't even sure what she thought about it... she wasn't much of a party person. In fact, she would have much preferred if there wasn't a party. She knew about the storm outside, and she couldn't quite get over how romantic it would be to just sit by the fire with Remus as they watched the storm outside. She didn't know what got into her lately - she just felt extremely lovey-dovey. Annelise also couldn't help but wonder whether the Room of Requirement would make a window for them to watch the storm. It must, right? It could supply anything else that they desired.
Annelise kept the idea from her head. She didn't want wishes of doing something else disturb her from enjoying the party. She decided to not opt for a bathing suit, but instead chose to wear a sailor's outfit. She paired it with a pair of flats, and curled her hair and left it down. After all, it was a 'beach theme,' not necessarily a bikini theme (and if so, she wouldn't want to see what Remus was wearing!) Annelise tugged at the hem of her skirt somewhat self-consciously. Would she have been better off just wearing a bathing suit? She doubted any other girl would choose to wear something other than the least required amount before going naked. She sighed, trying not to think of all the half-naked girls there. She knew Remus didn't want anyone else, but she couldn't help but to wonder whether his eyes ever wandered. They must, right? He was still a guy after all. She argued to herself that he was a good guy. After all, Annelise herself didn't look at other guys.
Annelise twirled in front of the full-body mirror that some other girl had brought to Hogwarts with her, trying to make herself feel more confident. Although she didn't drink really, she couldn't help but crave one in hopes of it really being liquid courage. She ignored her own thoughts as she caught the time, and realized she had to go let Remus into the dorm. The one nice thing about Remus telling Annelise about his condition was that she could try to help cover the scars. She didn't know how successful she could be, especially considering she wasn't the greatest at a lot of spellwork.
Regardless, she went to the entrance of the Hufflepuff common room, exited, and found Remus already there. Annelise smiled somewhat self-consciously.
"Did I keep you waiting? I didn't mean to, I'm sorry," Annelise said, rather quickly. She looked down at her own outfit and blushed a little. "I didn't wear a bikini, I mean it's beach-themed, right, not bathing suit themed?" she took a moment to look at what Remus was wearing and then finished with, "Well, you're not in a bathing suit really, either, so I guess we both had somewhat of the same idea!"
Annelise bit her lip, and then turned and allowed both of them into the common room. It was extremely empty, as most of the Hufflepuffs had already stolen off to the party. Annelise turned to Remus, and her eyes fell across his scars. She really had never seen this much of his skin, and therefore had never seen all the scars before. She had to admit, there were way more than she would have ever imagined; of all shapes and sizes. She merely looked back into Remus' eyes and said, "What do I do now?"
Annelise was somewhat worried that she wouldn't be of any help, and that they would take so long that they would miss the party altogether. Even though she didn't particularly want to go, it was one of Remus' best friends' parties, and she knew that it was practically customary to go. She didn't want to be the one who caused him to miss it. Besides, it could be fun. She glanced quickly at the bottle in Remus' hand and then tried to focus yet again.

Sirius couldn't help but grin and feel proud when Remus clapped him on the shoulder and told him it was 'epic.' He knew his friend thought that it was genuinely awesome, but it was still good to hear. He enjoyed hearing that he was good at something - it was quite the difference than what he heard at home. At home he did everything wrong. It may have seemed selfish of Sirius, but whenever he got compliments, he felt like it was a big deal. It was perhaps the reason why he occasionally bragged... because he wanted the compliments. He wanted to be admired.
"Me? Grow sick of the attention? Never," Sirius replied with a big grin. He couldn't imagine ever getting sick of attention, of ever trying to not be in the action, of being up to something. Really, if he was to ever become a swimsuit model, he knew that it wouldn't be the attention he would get bored with, it would no doubt be the job. He could never imagine sitting still for long. He assumed that's why he never had a girlfriend. It was like he couldn't focus for long enough. He didn't even know what he truly wanted to do with his life... most likely something that was adventurous and wouldn't make him bored, although he couldn't imagine what that would be. All Sirius wanted at the moment was enough money to save up for a motorcycle. Since the age of fourteen, he knew that was what he wanted first after he left school. It was like he didn't realize that he would still require somewhere to live or a job.
Sirius frowned when Remus mentioned the Annelise conversation. Remus had mentioned it briefly before, but Sirius had been quick to change the subject. He was not impressed with Remus telling Annelise. Annelise was Remus' first girlfriend... what made him think it was going to last? All it would take was a break-up, and she would tell everyone. Really, all it could take was for Annelise to get a best friend. As far as Sirius was aware, Annelise didn't really have any friends. He was hoping it would stay that way. Remus was careful to not tell his best friends for years before admitting what he was after they found out, but then he was seeing Annelise for about a year and he spilled the beans willingly? It wasn't like he was going to marry her or anything. Even if the relationship were to last for another year, and then they graduated, they would no doubt part ways. Besides, he would probably tire of her by then anyways. Sirius didn't even care that Annelise stuck around even though she knew what he was... in his mind, she didn't see that he probably couldn't have kids (or wouldn't be willing to risk it), or even support her if their relationship continued. Sirius merely rubbed his nose in an irritable fashion until their conversation about Annelise had gone away. He had to admit to himself that he felt foolish for ever thinking Remus dating Annelise had been a good choice. Then again, he didn't know Remus would ever do anything so reckless - that was Sirius' job.
Sirius was happy when Remus changed the topic off of his girlfriend. Great, he would be dressing up - although, truth be told, Sirius had forgotten about Remus' scars when choosing the theme and therefore felt a little guilty.
"I knew I could count on you," Sirius said, in reply to Remus saying he was going to dress up. There were already a few guys who had shown up wearing regular trousers. Sirius frowned at them. If they were going to gawk at the ladies, they may as well dress the part themselves! Sirius narrowed his grey eyes, pointed his wand at two of the boys dressed regular, and next thing anyone knew, the boys' jeans dropped to the ground, revealing their boxers underneath.
"Closer to bathing suits than what you were wearing before!" Sirius yelled, happily, with his bark of a laugh. Did people really expect Sirius, or any of the Marauders for that matter, to allow anyone to show up not in theme? It was one of the main reasons why Sirius didn't expect any Slytherins to show up - he doubted many would dress up, unless it was black-tie. He couldn't imagine his brother or Snivellus showing up wearing a bathing suit. The Slytherin girls... well, he had a hard time imagining that, as well.
Remus soon departed, and Sirius called after him, "No shagging! Make sure you get back in a half an hour's time, or I'm coming after you and dragging you back here naked!"
Sirius then pulled his attention away from his werewolf-friend and back to the party. No James, no Peter yet. He was rather disappointed. What was more important than coming here? He was certainly hoping that ladies weren't part of the equation. Whatever happened to friends coming first? Lately, Sirius felt like he was the only one abiding by putting his friends first, and he didn't know if his feelings should be hurt or not. No, of course not. He was just hoping the reason James and Peter were late was because they were carting in a large amount of alcohol, or were planning some master prank and lost track of time.
Feeling somewhat bored, as no one other than Remus had approached him thus far (surprisingly), Sirius made himself comfortable by sitting at the edge of one of his homemade hot tubs. From this vantage point, all he saw were legs. Hairy man legs, and long, smooth lady legs. If he was able to get over the man legs, the view was rather good. Some Ravenclaw fourth-year girl sat with him for a while before her boyfriend showed up and whisked her away. While he watched the girl go, Sirius then noticed Lena standing there, looking a little bit awkward, and he didn't know why. To be honest, he was surprised that no guy had walked up to her either. Yes, she was shy and quiet, but that had never stopped Sirius in the past. In fact, he realized he didn't even feel hesitant towards her, despite the fact that he had no idea about how she felt towards him. He knew he wasn't ready for a relationship - their last fling proved that. It didn't mean that Sirius didn't feel attraction towards her. He just hoped that she understood. Honestly, Sirius had somewhat expected Remus and her to start dating. He had heard about them spending time together in the summer, and Annelise hadn't really been around anyways. He almost felt bad, as he could tell she had feelings for him that he just couldn't reciprocate, especially in a mature manner.
"Oy! Lena!" Sirius shouted. "Care to keep me some company?"
She was looking very nice in her outfit. It was different than most of the bikinis he saw around, but then again,t hat was what attracted her to him in the first place. She always just looked different. He hadn't spoken to her in what felt like ages, and therefore was sort of curious to how she had been lately.

To be honest, Remus was a little worried about Sirius' lack of response to his story about telling Annelise. What was up with him? Remus didn't get it. After all, hadn't Sirius been the one to push Remus into asking her out? The only reason he could think of was that maybe Sirius was afraid Remus would forget about his friends - but if he feared that, it wasn't going to be a problem. Remus was never going to drop his friends, not after all they had done for him. At the same time, Annelise hadn't been wildly enthusiastic about going to Sirius' christmas party, either.. Remus hoped this wasn't going to be a problem. He didn't want to end up in between. He quietly frowned as he pondered it. James hadn't really objected, nor had Peter.. Was it maybe something between Sirius and Annelise? Something personal? Remus blanched slightly and his heart lurched at the thought. Had Annelise and Sirius been in a fight? Or worse: were they attracted to each other? Everyone knew Sirius was more attractive than Remus ever could be, plus he wasn't a monster once a month. He shook his head and swallowed his fear. They wouldn't do that to him. Then again - no one can control their feelings..
Remus wasn't that much of a party animal either. Maybe more so than Annelise, sure, but still.. he didn't get drunk quickly (huzzah for a werewolf's metabolism!) and he tended to be fairly responsible all-in-all.. but that didn't mean he didn't know how to have fun! Still, had Annelise told him she'd have liked something more romantic, just the two of them, he would've listened to her. Of course he couldn't just skip the party, he didn't want to disappoint Sirius (plus, let's be honest, Siri knew how to throw a proper party), but I can tell you that Remus wouldn't at all object sneaking off for some privacy at some point.
Annelise needn't worry so much about her clothes. After all, I think we can all agree Remus is not so very into slutty girls who only dress as less as they can just because they can. In fact, he smiled pretty damned widely, a little stupidly, and very in love, as he spotted her, walking towards him. "Did I keep you waiting? I didn't mean to, I'm sorry." "You look amazing," he said, at once, forgetting about her rambling insecurely and half-ignoring her compliments directed at him. Taking off his hawaii flower chain, he put it around Annelise's neck and pecked her cheek. "Looks better on you than me anyway." All the nerves that had strung themselves up in his stomach had vanished as soon as he'd seen her and with the Christmas holidays starting and school off his mind for at least a week, Remus felt in a state of seldom relaxation and ease. He was going to enjoy himself - with his best friends and his wonderful girlfriend. What could be better? What could be more normal-teenager?
He could feel Annelise look at him and blushed slightly. "I did part of my arms already, but I'll need help with the back of my calves?" Remus said, though it sounded more like a question, really. "The spell is Episkano Amemptoi, all you do is say the words and point your wand." He wasn't sure if she was familiar with the spell, but it wasn't very tricky. Even the pronunciation wasn't. It was Greek, so it wasn't so bad. He smiled. "It's harmless, trust me."

He had been looking forward to this party since he had heard about it. It was in passing and really he hadn't received a formal invite but he doubted anyone would mind. he usually turned up at a marauder organized party...though if he remember correctly the last one he had turned up at he had been completely off his face along with the rest of his friends. They had been drinking a muggle drink that Frank's uncle had sent in the post...tequila! If your wondering his uncle had taken a trip to Mexico. He had been welcomed into that party like a long lost brother and he hoped this would be the same since all his mates had ditched him to spend time with their girlfriends. It sucked sometimes going out with someone who worked a lot, he only got to see her through the floo network which sucked then again he was just happy she still wanted to see him. Dressed in his beach gear (his uncles work once again) Frank cast a quick heating charm on himself before setting off. The party was over the grounds and he didn't want to get there to late. Armed with his wand and a box of warm butterbeers the lonely Gryffindor set off, he hoped tonight would be a laugh. If everyone else dressed to the theme there was sure to be a few good pictures. ---- He made quick work of getting over the grounds ever thankful for remembering to charms his feet to stay warm. The snow melting in his flip flops was annoying but he could dry himself off when he got there. 'Wow' His first thought, the area looked awesome. Lena had been trying to stay out of the way and unnoticed. She remembered the costume for Remus’ birthday party last year and what she had worn and what she was wearing now might be a little less revealing but it was a little more uncomfortable too. She didn’t have a skirt or anything to help cover part of her legs. She couldn’t help but bite her lip and look around, watching as all the others started partying. No one had even tried to talk to her yet and it was probably because she didn’t talk much herself and that she was trying to be as invisible as possible too. That no longer became possible as she heard someone suddenly shouting her name. Lena blinked and looked up, her hat tipping up out of her eyes so she could see, to find the person who had called her over. She thought it was Sirius and she was right. She blushed slightly and nodded before walking over, trying to ignore the variation of looks people were giving her at being summoned by Sirius Black.
Once she reached his side she carefully sat down next to him, trying to give him a smile. It felt exceedingly awkward being around and talking to him because they hadn’t talked in so long but Lena was determined to give it a try. She did miss her friend, even if she did still have feelings for him. So she tried to tease him about his invitation. “Why don’t you yell a little louder? I don’t think the people in London heard you clearly.” She looked down for a second before back up to him. “It’s a nice party. Your transfiguration magic is getting stronger.” And she did mean it. What he had done on his own was fantastic for their grade. Lena couldn’t help but be proud of him for being able to do all of this.
She had noticed his unusual choice of clothing for the party and almost commented on it but decided to leave that teasing for a little bit longer.

It wasn't that Annelise expected Remus to skip Sirius' party by any means, it was just that parties weren't really her thing. Besides, she felt intimidated every time she went lately - she knew it was jealousy, but it wasn't a feeling she was used to. She never went to parties before meeting Remus (which was a little funny considering he didn't really seem like the party-type himself) so she didn't know how she would have felt before. She was sure they'd do something nice soon. Unfortunately, she hadn't been keeping track of the moon cycle as she thought she would. She had expected to be staring at the moon all the time, but rather found herself feeling too busy or tired to do so.
Annelise smiled when he said that she looked amazing. 'Amazing' was one of those words that Annelise believed that no girl could get bored of. It made her feel something more than average, which was always nice. She smiled wider when he put the flower necklace around her neck. She fiddled with it for a moment, not exactly sure what to say.
"Oh, that doesn't sound difficult at all!" Annelise exclaimed, happily. She went around Remus and looked at the back of his legs. In fear of seeming like she was staring, she only glanced for a quick moment. It wasn't as bad as she thought. She expected to see things like half-opened wounds, but only a couple of marks were still pink. She couldn't help but wonder when the last full moon was. If he was this healed, either he healed quicker than normal people, or the moon had been a while back. Either way, she quickly pointed her wand at the backs of his legs and said, "Episkano Amemptoi!"
Annelise was pleasantly surprised when it seemed as if his scars faded.
"Hey, it worked!" Annelise stated, proudly.
Annelise kissed Remus on the lips quickly, and then said, "Shall we head out? Is it cold, do I need a jacket or anything?"

Forcing away his worries and trying to focus on a nice evening, Remus smiled at Annelise a little. "More than amazing, actually. Forget I said amazing, you look unbelievable," he stuttered, silly and not eloquent at all, but well-meant, and very much enchanted by the girl in front of him.
"Oh, that doesn't sound difficult at all!" He smiled. "It isn't," he assured her, looking at her over his shoulder. She seemed a little on edge, uncomfortable, but that wasn't much of a surprise to him. It was a good thing that she hadn't seen his chest yet, though, that was worse - easier for the wolf to reach. He heard her voice say the words and smiled as he noticed the pronunciation was flawless - Annelise really needn't worry, she was better at spellwork than she thought - and then the static tingle of magic as it coated itself around his skin, hiding the scars.
"Hey, it worked!" Turning around, he smiled and hugged her for a moment (not really willing to let go, actually, but he had to if they wanted to walk over to Sirius' newest spectacle). "Of course it did," he muttered under his breath, pressing his lips to her forhead. "Don't sound so surprised, I knew you could do it." He looked around when Annelise asked him if she'd be needing a jacket. "Oh, yes-" He nodded, showing her his own cloak (well, Sirius's!), and the wellies he'd brought. "Snow's quite deep, so unless you're willing to risk freezing your feet off.." he joked, chuckling. "Or I could carry you, of course, if you wanted." His voice was still joking, but really - he would.
