Let me tell you, a little something about myself[/color]
Lily was born the second child to muggle couple Matthew and Doris Evans. Both of Lily's parents are muggles and so is Lily's older sister Petunia. Once a close family, Lily and Petunia were driven apart by jealousy, longing and stubbornness, but family is family and when home from Hogwarts, Lily tries her best to engage her older sister in conversations, to keep the peace and try and rebuild the broken relationship they once had.
From the age of six years old, Lily had extraordinary talents unlike any her family had ever seen before. She lived with her parents and sister and grew close to a young boy that lived down the road and around a few corners. Severus Snape. They were the same age and it was one warm sunny summer day that Severus told Lily of the magical world that awaited her, Hogwarts.
Lily was of course enthused about all the magical things she would be able to learn and one day perform, she enjoyed spending her days with Severus and the young pair were inseparable. The only times the were ever parted were when Lily's family would go away for a holiday, but Lily always found herself wanting the company of her dearest friend. He was like a brother to her which was a comfort after the jealousy Petunia showed towards the youngest Evans.
Lily was sent her Acceptance letter and first thing she did was run down the road, heading in the direction of Severus' house though she did not have far to run for Severus was heading for her house to check she had gotten her letter. They celebrated with a hug and went down near the field near the river and spent the day lazing around, enjoying the summer sun.
The time for Hogwarts came and Lily and Severus travelled to the train station together. They boarded the train, said goodbye to her parents and Severus' mother and were off.
The train ride was not as comfortable as one would hope, rude and rowdy boys that introduced themselves and James Potter and Sirius Black ruined the first magical journey to Hogwarts for Lily. They picked on her friend and Lily detested them for it immediately. Even at eleven years old, Lily was extremely loyal and knew the difference between right and wrong, friends and bullies.
The sorting was not how Lily had expected it to go. She hadn't really known much about houses but thought she might be in Slytherin with Severus. He hadn't been sorted but she knew they would be in the same house, sadly she was wrong and that was the start of their withering friendship.
Lily joined Sirius Black at the house of the Lion and watched student after student get sorted before watching Severus become a Slytherin. Even though they were not in the same house, she smiled and applauded for him anyway because he had joined the house he had wanted.
The years breezed by for Lily, in the early years she knew little about the wizarding war but the more she read and the older she got, the more she understood of it and felt how sickening it was. Some classmates went missing and some other students form the school. Some students were pulled out of Hogwarts by their parents while others thought Hogwarts the safest place to be, and Lily could understand why. Headmaster Albus Dumbledore was a great source of comfort even if he'd never spoken a word to you.
Lily and Severus' relationship began to strain as he grew more and more interested in the dark arts and befriended more and more dark wizards in his own house. Lily voiced her concern for her oldest friend more times than she could count but he seemed not to listen or thought that he knew better. Eventually things snapped, the strain on their relationship broke them. Severus called Lily a mudblood out in the open and Lily knew then that things were never going to be the same between them. She knew he was sorry and she knew he had never thought of her like that before, but he thought of other people from the same sort of heritage as her as 'mudbloods' so why would she be any different? Even after all his apologies, all his attempts to win back her favour, the stubborn red-head did not budge. Instead she started to ignore him until eventually he stopped annoying her.
As if Severus Snape hadn't been enough drama for one high school life time, there was another. James Potter. The arrogant toe rag that followed her around like a sick puppy dog with big hazel eyes. Lily knew he just wanted her so that he could annoy Severus and so she ignored him, ignored his advances and just carried on with her life at Hogwarts.
Now in her sixth year, Lily is already studying for the up and coming exams in May and June. She is the Gryffindor sixth year Prefect along with Remus Lupin whom she really doesn't mind, despite the fact he's close friends with James Potter and Sirius Black, the two biggest trouble makers the school has ever seen.
