Let me tell you, a little something about myself[/color]
Born into a family of great riches, his father is the running head of family with the estate in his name. For a long time now, the Mortelle family has served in a different way, though their magic is of great caliber, few secrets seep from their lips. One is that of their wine making, it has changed over the years, and a few members have dropped off the face of the earth. Potions, it is their trademark, especially poisons, hence the booming wine business. Most of their work is untraceable. Even so they have been considered assassin's in the muggle world.
They are a very happy people on the outside, but it is the inner workings that must be watched. Each Mortelle has been trained after they received their education through Hogwarts and if they are born without magical abilities, you would be cast off and murdered in an undisclosed location. Breeding has it s down sides, since the decline of pure-blood is on the rise, only the main section of the family are allowed to court any other pure-blood, granted there are a few dirt-bloods in the main line. Their inequalities have been over looked for the better of the family name.
There have been some ties with the vampires of the world, only for business purposes, though it has been said the branches of the Mortelle family are acclimated to be changed into such creatures, and the main line is to remain untouched. They possess a unique quality for the wine as well, whoever said the Mortelle's were a sadistic family, they are correct. Vampire blood is one of the main ingredients in the wine, though it is very minute in amount, it gives it a bitter sweetness.
The Italian Mafia has been after the family for sometime, and has failed in every attempt to bring it down, it s obvious why, considering that the family is chalk full of magic, and well, they slay their own family members in order to gain a high-selling wine.
Vicente was born in the early spring of 1960. It was an accidental pregnancy, but the love he received from his mother was over the top. He was named after he grandfather and once he found this out he began going by his middle name, Joram. Early on into his elementary years his father, Vincent, started to become slightly distant, he was not in contact with his child, even though he was to carry on the name. Urging for that attention it was apparent that Joram was going to be a problem child, full of snide comments and ruthlessness. Many fights at home had been lost, but the one thing he strives for was to be on top like his father and the edge was starting to wear down. So he decided to send his interests else where and picked up the cello.
He was three quarters of the way through the age of ten when the letter had arrived. Hogwarts. At that moment Vincent praised his child and thus begun the journey of a lifetime, he was to carry the family name. Knowing that his son was not a squib he was finally welcomed into the family as the next in line to take over the business and keep the ties together. Though the attitude Joram presented left Vincent highly doubtful.
During his first year at Hogwarts, Joram was sorted into the House of Slytherin, it only made sense for his family s nature. During his first two years he did not make many friends, in truth he avoided anyone and everyone, but he started to crack out of his shell during his third year. Becoming more or less himself he showed his true side, cocky and very forward.
PS. My accepted character points go to: Ravenclaw because I'm nice like that
