Let me tell you, a little something about myself[/color]
Nick's mother and father first met in their seventh year of Hogwarts, he was a Ravenclaw, she a Gryffindor. They were childhood sweethearts and their relationships lasted past Hogwarts and well into their working lives. His mother worked within the Ministry despite her muggle background and his pureblooded father worked with the environment, mostly making sure that magical creatures/plant stay hidden and secret from the muggle population. Despite both of their busy jobs they both had plenty of time for their energetic son.
Nicky attended a muggle school whilst awaiting for his Hogwarts letter. Kids always find it difficult to keep things quiet, especially when it comes to keeping the secret of the magical world. Of course he slipped, quite a few times in fact, but everybody believed that it was just a child's imagination running riot. Which nobody would put past Nic, he always seemed to be babbling on about something completely out of this world, even his parents thought his over active mind was hard to keep up with at times. He'd been moved from one school once after he accidentally performed a spell in which the school building itself suffered damage. Apparently it's not constructive to have pudding in the taps and pipelines.
The Sanders family is neither rich nor poor, they aren't a worthy adversary for anybody and they do their utmost best to remain just a normal family. That is, until Nic's dad stepped forward to join the Order, standing against the Purebloods values that he and his wife despised so very much. If the world were to work under their beliefs then their little family never would have happened, they wanted to make sure that other people never lost the chance to have what they had.
Nicky had absolutely no idea what was going on, he wasn't exactly well versed in the political and terrorist levels of the wizarding world. So when the news of the death of his father was delivered on November ninth, when Nicky was ten years of age, he was devastated. But he and his mother worked through it together, their little family still strong despite the loss of the man of the house. It still hits him hard even today, in fact, it's pretty much the only thing that can bring him down, 99% of the time he'll be happier than most.
Nick has rarely turns around and says anything cruel to anybody, not even an animal or a plant. He has a lot of respect for everybody, even the Slytherin's, but he doesn't much like it when they go out of their way to be mean to others. Nick has a bit of a hero complex, he will step in to help somebody that he doesn't even know, usually by just trying to distract both parties in some way. He doesn't really have a sense of danger, his obliviousness will one day be his downfall but he's far too optimistic to really think it ever will.
Hufflepuff was the one house that he wanted to be in, it's the house that his grandparents on his mother's side were in. His father's background is entirely pureblood, but the nice kind that don't wish to kill off muggles, so there are a few people who know of his name. They also know that he's the product of a pureblood/mudblood creation. Insults for this usually go straight over his head though, he's the type of person who is quite literally impossible to insult. Everybody bounces off of him just as much as he bounces off the walls. There's seriously no point in even trying to bring him down.
Nick's best at Care of Magical Creatures and Defence Against the Dark Arts, he likes animals and he loves casting spells, the novelty of being able to do so without many repercussions has yet to wear off for him. He's had two boyfriends and the one girlfriend since he's been within Hogwarts but he has yet to lose his virginity. His first kiss went to a Slytherin who was just trying to use him, he still holds a bit of a candle to that boy now but he'll never admit it to him, because he was quite badly betrayed. He had a picture perfect image in his mind of spending forever with the Gryffindor girl he dated, imagining that she and him would be like his parents.
Unfortunately it wasn't to be.
Now he pretty much just does whatever he wants, he's a social little bunny and he's usually found with at least one or two people he knows close by. It's most worrying when he's left by himself, more often than not he'll just latch onto the closest person to him for company. Even if that be a grumpy, sour faced Slytherin.
He's been stunned and found in a cupboard before, been there done that, doesn't bother him ^^'
He does have one love that's probably never going to fade, he adores the marauders. Their pranks are something that's led this boy to attempt his own, each and everyone of his own pranks results in him being the victim but none the less he does try. In order to try to get some pointers he has tried to approach the four boys but their popularity leads this poor Hufflepuff to fade into the background somewhat, but recently James has become obsessed with a certain Gryffindor, leaving a certain estranged member of the Black family free for pestering. He wants to be recognised by the marauders, almost desperately..
