Let me tell you, a little something about myself[/color]
Cassiopeia was born to Iosif and Nikita Dolohov with less than open arms, making her childhood less nurturing and happy than others. Little did she know, she had been unplanned and the fact that she was a female turned her father off from ever even wanting to communicate with her. He had been hoping for a boy and when she popped out, as female as could be, it was almost more than he could bear. For as long as she could remember, Cassie and her father had never gotten along, seeming as though they had gotten off on the wrong foot since her birth. Her brother was the apple of his eye, showing real sportsmanship. As was to be expected, Iosif shoved his beliefs down his childrens’ throats, not giving a shit what they thought about the matter. From day one, Cassie just couldn’t wrap the concept around her mind. She was unsure of what benefit held from being on the dark side. In her eyes, it seemed that as soon as you transferred all your loyalties to the dark side, you stripped yourself of all freedom you once had, leaving you a cowardly fool wandering the world, trying your best to please the dark lord or else your life would become caput. The entire existence sounded dismal to her and upon voicing these views at the mere age of eight, her father exploded, forcing her to spend the night in the basement. Her brother and sister, though they protested, had no way of getting past their father and his anger.
To this day, Cassie claims this is the night that changed everything. While curling herself into the corner, she could practically feel the darkness overwhelming her, grasping and tearing away at her soul with fingers as cold as ice. Her fear of the dark stems from this mere memory and whenever a nightmare presents itself, she can see her dad’s cold, empty eyes shining out at her, his teeth painted white, his unforgiving nature apparent in the form of his smile. Eventually, tired of being swallowed whole, something sparked inside of her. Even now, she can remember something breaking inside her, as if her soul had finally snapped. The door above the stairwell flung open, light finally breathing into the room, wrapping itself around her fragile frame. Racing out of the basement, she didn’t care of the consequences and jumped into her bed, the sheets far over her head as her mind raced over the contents of the night. She swears this is when her cold nature sunk in, hence her reason for being sorted into Slytherin. Luckily, she had been sorted into Slytherin alongside her brother. Her and her sister didn't talk much, having grown distant though Cassie didn't put up much of an effort. She wasn't much one for relationships.
As each day passed, she grew more frustrated and pissed at how mundane and predictable the Slytherin lot were. All they cared about was their money, their clothes and whatever slut they had banged that night. All they wanted to do was strike fear in the hearts of passersby, which was always followed by a guffaw from the crowd they happened to be parading about in. Since she was young, Cassie’s thoughts had always been elsewhere; on the universe, the stars, planets, you name it. It was during these times that she missed seeing her brother as much for he was the only one who could really put up with her crazy theories, which were mainly, if you have to put it so bluntly, “muggle.” Though she was Pureblood, Cassie had always been fascinated by the Muggles and their perceptions on their world. One that particularly stood out to her was Albert Einstein, who was apparently the genius of his generation, placing him far above anyone in her mind. She had always been fascinated by the unexplained, which is probably why she wanted to end up working in the Ministry as an Unspeakable. Another Muggle habit she had was smoking, though none of her family knew she smoked, except her brother. She could give a rat's ass what anyone here thought so she doesn't bother hiding it anymore.
Eventually, however, the dark side called to her and she knew that no matter how hard she tried, she would follow in her father's footsteps. It just seemed so easy and killing was in her genes after all. Her hatred for people was more than enough reason for her to want to end their miserable lives. They were all just so pathetic, only caring about their daily activities. It was sickening and she vowed to end it. Being as secretive as she was, it was easy to keep her alliances unknown from everyone, and though she hadn't told her family, she was sure they'd jump for joy. If anybody found out her true colours, she doubted they'd be surprised. Her dismissive and cold nature was hint enough that she wouldn't be transferring to the light side anytime soon. She's still on the fence, harboring these feelings of wanting to reject the dark arts for she looks at her parents and is overcome with disgust but she knows it's most likely where she belongs, in the dark where there's no relief.
