Hello All!

As most of you can see Siri and I have been working our tail feathers off to provide a more streamline and less busy forum layout. With this I'm assuming that there will be questions asked and wondered about so I'm going to go over the basics.

``Where are all the board categories?

You can find the categories and board listings by clicking on any of the category images labeled: basics, character, Hogwarts, world and ooc. Clicking on these images will change the board beneath the navigation board and show you all of the open threads and what not. The reason we decided to do this was to consolidate the forum so you do not need to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page just to find the newest post.

``Where is the cbox? I can hear it but cannot see it!

On the far left side there is a 'HIDE :: SHOW' bar, click on that and it'll open a peekaboo side table. The reason we decided to use this feature is because I know many of you are tired of having multiple tabs open just for the Cbox alone, but this also works if you have tiny screens. (Looking at you Emilia! :D). Also, with that side table, it is fixed, meaning: if you scroll down it'll still be in the same spot so it's ALWAYS readily available for use and there is no need to scroll up to look what someone said, or switch tabs.

We will be doing the same thing on the right hand side. As you can tell at the moment (11/16/11) there is nothing there. This is where the In-Character Cbox will be going. I know that it hasn't seen much use and it is a good tool to have. In the future I look to improve this Cbox to the upgraded one, it makes good work of planning out what your character will do or say in short bursts. Look forward toward the future!

``Facebook Style Like/Dislike;

You can find the thumbs up and thumbs down icons at the very bottom of each post next to the 'report to mod; link to post; and back to top' links. It'll add a little bar across the bottom of each post stating who likes or dislikes this.

All we ask is that you do not abuse this feature and make other members feel like crap because you dislike everything they do. The admins and mods of this site will see this as a personal attack and possibly throw the Ban Can at you for five days. If the problem persists we will remove this awesome feature and trust us we don't want to!

This feature is very useful, if you still have problems figuring out how it works let one of the admins know and we will help you! Don't hesitate to ask one of us! Just remember that if you clear your browser history you're going to want to make back ups in word documents or somewhere else so that you know what it was before you posted it up there.

If there is anything else you feel needs to be addressed or if you find errors and cannot access certain things post it in tech support and either Siri or myself will get to work on fixing the issue. If its something you wish not to post directly on the board PM any of the Staff and we'll take care of it!

Just wanted to add that if anyone wants to "hide" the tabbed box, all you have to do is click the header called "Navigation." It hides the tabbed board and makes things look even simpler!
