Hello hello hello. Well, I'm looking for friends/enemies/love interests and everything in between for my character Tanith. So, here goes

A bit of background, methinks? Well, Tanith is a fifth-year, pureblood, Slytherin. She's quite timid, mostly the kind of girl who has in the past always kept her head down and attending social gatherings only through blackmail and bribery most of the time. She has a sort of tough outer shell, and tends to be quite bitchy sharp tongued, shall we say, with people that she doesn't know. Tanith's father Porcius is the younger brother of Abraxas Malfoy, making her the cousin to Lucius Malfoy, in case anyone was confused by the surname or whatever. Having a severe lack of heirs in her own branch of the family they are considerably less-wealthy than Lucius' branch but are nonetheless distinctly well-off. Tanith's sharp tongue and reluctance to mingle with her classmates, coupled with the rather pompous sounding upper-class English accent, means that to others she can seem like the typical stuck up little rich girl. Even to those in her own house her demeanor would inadvertently give out the impression that she thinks she's above other people. More often than not, it's not the case. Most of the time she's just self-concious, although she does find most superficial gossiping girls secretly mind-numbingly boring. So, I guess all that might gather a few enemies? People in other houses, or the kind of other girls that might rub up against Tanith? I'm open to ideas!

As for friends - well, Tan is quite a dreamy, clumsy girl. She usually ambles through life and doesn't nessescarily go out of her way to make friends. I imagine she would have a few acquaintances through assosciation or whatever, but I'd like her to have a few besties. I think I'd like someone more outgoing perhaps, someone completely different to what Tan' has experienced so far in her life. I'd like to see her come out of her shell so I think I'd like someone who's quite extroverted who would be a good counterpoint? Obviously she would be more comfortable in picking friends from Slytherin but in the whole - emerging from shell, confusion thing, Ithink it would be fun to have good/bad influences from other houses. I think Tanith might get along better with boys seeing as she's not much of a girly girl but I would like her to have some girlfriend-like confidantes.

Now, l-o-v-e. I like drama, and I'd like lotsa drama for Tan's love life if plottage allowed it. Being kinda shy and self-concious, I think there's perhaps the possibility for an unrequited love? Or perhaps a platonic friendship growing into more? Either way it would take her a while to come to terms with her feelings so it would be fun to build up I think. But, aside from actually falling for The Right Guy I think there's the possibility for some self-destructive relationships along the way. Tanith's quite impressionable and I imagine she'd be easy to manipulate so being duped by some love rat or infatuated with someone who's completely wrong for her might make for some good drama too.

But, I'm new here and so's this character, and I'm completely open to ideas. So lemme know!

so they share a dorm and both have recognizable surnames. i'm thinking good friends? Cissa will like her as a person, but thinks tan makes herself unapproachable. plus, the girls look very similar, so i think cissa would be annoyed with the fact that she sometimes gets mistaken for tan. thats all i got, lol. its kinda lame.

I don't think it's lame, haha, I like the idea of good friends seeing as they would share a lot of time together. Perhaps Tan would like Cissa as a person too, but be secretly jealous at how outgoing/wanted/gorge Narcissa is? I think she might sort of be a friend who lives happily in Cissa's shadow haha, what do you think? Also, seeing as Narcissa's seeing Lucius she could use their shared dorm to whine about him anytime she wanted to Tanith lol.

Lysandra&&Tanith

And here is Lysandra. She is cousin to Narcissa and Andromeda. I haven't established her relationship with Cissa yet but she is very close to Meda. She is also fifth year and would be in the same room. Because she possesses a name like Malfoy, Lysandra automatically put her on the good company list. I didn't read what her position as a purist was though. Lysandra is at a very confused point in her life as far as the importance of blood purity goes. Any ideas?

Theodore&&Tanith

And my sweet Ted. He is seventh year and Head Boy (pending acceptance). He is generally nice to everyone, particularly females. Whoever said chivalry is dead has not met Ted. Either way, if ever Tanith needed anything, Ted would do what he could to help her. That's just how he is. I don't have any specific ideas for him

Lucius & Tanith:
I'm not sure what you want their relationship to be. I was going to leave it up to whatever you thought would work for your plot, but I know that their personalities are very different so perhaps there would be some sort of trivial annoyance with them? Particularly because Tanith is at the minute quite confused about her position over blood purity etc, although I'm not sure whether she would confess that to Lucius of all people. Perhaps they used to be close due to family etc, but her confusion over purity leaves them a little estranged, if she does tell him of course. Like I said, Idk, whatever ideas you have.

Lysandra & Tanith:
Aw, she sounds lovely! I think Lysandra and Tanith would get on well. Seeing as she seems quite fun she could maybe show Tan' how to relax a little, and they would spend a lot of time together if they're in the same dorm etc. Also, like Lysandra, Tanith is quite confused over her position on pureblood importance as I mentioned, so that might give them something to bond over? Idk, I think they have the potential to be really close if you'd like them to.

Ted & Tanith
I love Ted Tonks haha ^^ I don't really have any specific ideas either but like I said in my post Tan's not really a girly-girl so I imagine she would get along well more so with boys. Especially nice-chivalrous boys like Ted haha. But saying that, there's always the friendly house-rivalry aspect seeing as he's a Hufflepuff. A thread might be fun between them too.

I think because they are family and she hasn't made any moves against blood purity, Lucius would be plenty nice to his cousin and because they share the same last name, any move against Tanith is an indirect move against him. I think Lucius would be like an over protective older brother type and would certainly encourage her to follow purist ways.

Sounds great! Lys could certainly use some female love

Maybe some friendly banter about whose house won the last quidditch game, which side the other is rooting for when their own house teams aren't playing, etc?

I'm not really sure. Of a good family maybe they know each other, briefly not caring to much about the other. Maybe Meda or Tan gets jealous of the other talking to Ted Tonks? Secretly of course.

Hm, yeah that sounds interesting Maybe 'Meda sees Tan talking to Ted Tonks and get the wrong idea, and that would make her realise her feelings for him?
