Emma is a sixteen year old Ravenclaw. Growing up, many people questioned how she wasn't in Gryffindor as she has a very Gryffindor-like personality. She is intelligent although her study-habits leave something to be desired. She has a bit of a sharp-tongue at times, but for the most part just likes to joke and have fun. She tends to get herself in trouble every now and then, but tends to avoid it. She can also be a bit of a worrier, but tries to not let others know. Emma is from a pureblooded family with two older siblings. Her brother was a year ahead of her in Slytherin, but he dropped out the previous year while her sister was a year above the brother and has since gone on to be a Healer (she, too, had been a Ravenclaw).
Emma only had one serious boyfriend between fourth and fifth year. They broke up and although she was sad for a while, they're still on good terms. She doesn't have trust issues or anything of the sort. She doesn't avoid relationships, but doesn't seek them either. Instead she thinks that people should focus on their lives and if a romantic interest comes along, then that's great. If not, that's fine too.
Emma can be a little opinionated at times, and somewhat loud depending on what's going on. She's the most well-known of her siblings as the other two were more shy. Due to this, there will be people who don't like her as they may think she runs her mouth too much. Usually, though, Emma gets along with most people. However, she doesn't get along with know-it-alls or people she may consider "weirdos." Emma also occasionally has an issue with authority, so Head Boy/Girl or Prefects may be a concern for her depending on their personality.
Emma is also the Beater on the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team. She may not be the best player out there as she occasionally misses the Quaffle, but when she does hit it, she hits it hard. She is known on the Quidditch Pitch for particularly hitting people in the head with the Quaffle (and once or twice with the Beater's bat).
Emma's looking for everything really, from any House. Friends, enemies, someone to be her ex-boyfriend (I wrote in her history that he was a Ravenclaw, but any House would do) or anything else you can think of!

As per our conversation: I think Eric would not understand her much at all. His feelings for her would be completely mixed up, but there would be a tension between the two that he could never ignore. The sexual tension would be matched only by how he loathes the way she makes him feel. When he is around her profit becomes second hand, and he does not like that much at all. Yet, the attraction is completely overwhelming and hard to ignore. He wants her, but oddly enough he wants her for more than just capital gain. He would never tell a single soul, not even himself, but there could be a future in this one. The road to get there would be long, forked, and often bumpy. However, sticking with that road could end up in the two having finals. A relationship that could last longer than gold.
For the here and now (on the site's timeline) I would say there is a strong mutual attraction that neither can ignore. They have a hard time feeling out each other beyond the initial want, but he will know he does not like seeing her with anyone else. It might not be love right now, but there is a seed of something growing. Love/hate relationship between the two for now, let it evolve and see where it goes from there?
Yes?

ERIC & EMMA
Agreed! I couldn't find better words to put it into myself. I think Eric would fluster her a bit because she didn't see herself starting a new relationship at the moment, but she's very attracted to him. I think she'd try to stay calm about the whole thing, but I think due to the fact she's a bit... impulsive, she gets frustrated by her inability to persue Eric. Also, due to his unwilling ways, she may get a bit snarky at times, which is where the "love/hate" thing comes in. All in all, I liked the way you worded it and am looking forward to their threads!
