Lily looked about at her dorm mates beds. They had all been neatly made while they had been in lessons. Lily always pulled her covers up and tucked in her sheets at the start of every day anyway. It was a habit she had even though she knew the school had house elves that did that sort of thing. Still it was one less thing for the creatures to do and Lily really didn't mind.
The weather outside was ghastly. Lily actually wouldn't mind running about in it if it wasn't so cold but you didn't really get a chance of warm weather and rain when you were in Scotland, it was all cold and you were lucky if it wasn't always snowing, icing up or haling. Still, the monotonous sound of the rain pounding against the window pane was cause for Lily to place her homework down. She was sat on her bed, reading over it but the constant hammering of the rain, all though boring, was off putting. Still wasn't as if there was a lot else she was going to do today, maybe she'd head to the library.
Packing some things into her school bag, Lily decided she'd head to the library before curfew struck and she had to do her patrols. She'd had dinner early this evening and so most of the other students were probably just finishing up their mains before moving onto desert. This would mean the library would be almost completely empty save for a few that wanted to get their homework done either in advance or before their lessons first thing tomorrow.
Swinging her legs off of her bed and standing up, Lily straightened out the creases she'd made in the red and gold covers. She spent a little time straightening out the curtains that hung around her bed and the straightened up her prefect badge that sat on her uniform. There was no sense in changing into something more comfortable yet, after all she had to be in uniform for her prefect duties so she'd only have to change clothes again.
Taking a step forward, Lily neglected to spot a pot of ink she'd left on the floor. She stepped into it, kicking it forward and as her other foot came forward, about to step on the jar of ink, she quickly hoped over it before landing funny on her left foot and falling to the ground. She'd sprained her ankle and knew she'd not be going to the library or doing her duties tonight. Whipping out her wand from beneath her Gryffindor Robes, she gave it a wave and cleaned up the mess of the ink and put the bottle back in her night stand where it belonged, carefully she got herself up and hopped and swivelled herself onto her bed, propping up her pillows and leaning against them. She waved her wand and got herself some ice, took off her shoes and socks and popped the wrapped ice onto her sore ankle to reduce any sorts of swelling that might occur. Well now she was going to have to stay here for the night and write a note to the Head Girl letting her know she would not be able to fulfil her duties tonight. What fun.

It was like magic! Every morning Emilia would leave her bed a mess when she was always running late for classes and when she arrived after dinner It was always neatly made! Trickery! Although, Emilia knew exactly the reason for it. House elves... But, it was always fun for her to ignore the fact that of their existence in Hogwarts and pretend that they did it themselves. It's wasn't like she felt like it was their job to make the beds, but between jumping out of bed, getting dress, and running to class or breakfast she didn't have the time!
Rainy days, no matter is Emilia had gotten ten hours of sleep, they always temped her to fall asleep during class. At least it wasn't storming though, rain she could deal with. Time like these, she wished she had a class outside when it wasn't raining so during class it would start to downpour on them and watch every one panic over rain. Although, that is a little mean, it would be quite funny to see.
Emilia took her grand time eating. Normally, She would eat obnoxiously fast so she ends up over eating and feels really sick later. Today, She decided that she wasn't going to let herself do that so while sitting at the Gryffindor table, surrounded by friends and peers. It was a night filled with joy and laughter until dessert came around... Emilia decided that she shouldn't have dessert tonight, which sometimes was a bad thing but if hunger was to strike sometime later that night, she had a think of cookies in her trunk from the other night she could eat.
Moving her way through the halls and up the staircases of doom. everyday after dinner, she would always mistakenly took the wrong the staircase and ended up on the opposite side of where the hallway that leads to the Gryffindor dorms. "DAMN YOU STAIRCASES OF HELL" she snapped at the staircases before jumping on one and figuring out how to get to the to the hallway she needed. It must of taken at least twenty-minutes, already frustrated she made her way to the Gryffindor common room. as she walked in, her foot caught on the rug causing her to trip and fall face first to the ground. "Oh come on! really Hogwarts?!" she muttered under her breath before picking her and her things up and shuffling up the stairs to the girls dorm.
Dragging her feet into the dorm room and let out a big sigh. At this point she was literally dragging her messenger bag that was filled with all her books behind her. The instant she walked in she noticed Lily chillin. "Lily.... Hogwarts is out to get meee" Emilia whined as she shuffled to her own bed and throwing her bag on it before crawling to lay on it. Her face was faced down in her pillow for a moment before she turned her head to look at Lily. Noticing the ice on her ankle and nodding lightly. "Well, more like out to get us." she playfully joked.
Suddenly, a thought came to her head. Emilia rolled over except, she didn't realize she her lower half of her body was basically on the edge of her bed causing her to fall off her bed when she rolled over. She sighed again before ignoring the fact that Hogwarts wanted to kill her, and got up and moved towards the window next to Lily's bed. She looked out the window trying her best to see if there was a certain creeper chilling out side her window. she repeated the action to the next window that was closest to lily's bed and then the window that would have a decent view of Lily's bed. "Don't mind me.. Just making sure there isn't a certain... obnoxiously large bird creeping out the windows" she laughed softly. Of course she was referring to James Potter.

Lily sat on her bed for a little while before deciding she'd best get on with writing a letter to the Head Girl. It was nothing major, just a quick note explaining she was currently bed ridden but would be more than happy to help out tomorrow with extra duties, if she didn't offer to do extra she would have felt guilty, she didn't know why, it wasn't as if she could help getting injured but she supposed the thought of letting people down just got to her, she liked to try her hardest to be there for people and for her duties, that was probably part of the reason as to why she'd been made a prefect in the first place.
The letter was written and folded into a swan before Lily sent it, the door to the dorm opened to let the letter out and closed behind it, not long after the letter was sent however, the dorm door opened up once more and in came Emilia. Lily had to admit she didn't know Emilia as well as she probably should. They got on well and always talked with one another when in the same room but they didn't really know one another as well as Lily was wanting to right now, being stuck on her bed however would probably give a very good opportunity to get to know Emilia better.
"Ah, yeah, well this is my own fault for leaving an ink bottle on the floor." she sighed a little reluctantly. She'd completely forgotten about her bottle of ink which was out of the ordinary for Lily because usually she was very tidy and had a pretty good memory. "What's the castle been doing to you?" She asked, wondering if Emilia had gotten stuck in the sinking stair, it was the first thing her mind always went to when people mentioned the school was out to get them. So many students became a little complacent with that step and as such, so many got stuck in it, some more often then they should. Some people really didn't learn but Emilia was a smart enough girl and Lily doubted she got stuck in the stair on repeated occasions.
Lily stiffled a giggle as Emilia rolled off of her bed and onto the floor. Her dorm mate was certainly fun to be around and kept things interesting. Lily watched as Emilia went from one window to the next and laughed at her comment. Lily never really thought about anyone peeking into their dorm but now this was certainly something she was going to be a little paranoid about for a while, after all Lily really wouldn't put it past James to fly up to their window and see if he could sneak a peek of the girls getting changed. Heck, Lily wouldn't put it past any of the boys at school!
"Good thinking, though I'll probably be a little paranoid from now on about being spied on while I sleep!" Lily shrugged her shoulder a couple of times, getting comfortable leaning into her pillows a little more. "Any sign of anything or anyone?" Lily chuckled softly, she doubted James would be foolish enough to peer into their dorm, he was cheeky but he wasn't a pervert, at least Lily didn't think he was, that by was always full of surprises though.

Emilia looked through the windows carefully, examining the outside to see if there were any peeing toms around of the sort. "from what I can tell, I don't see any boy's floating around, so I'm going to go with no, there are no boys being creepers." she laughed softly as she moved away from the windows. Emilia strolled over back to her bed and crawled into bed. She rolled on to her back before glancing at Lily again. "I wouldn't put it past potter to fly to one of the windows and be all creeper like and watch you sleep or something... But I don't think he'd watch dress, he has some morals." she laughed softly.
Emilia let out a yawn before stretching a little. "So how have you been lately? we don't seem to talk much for people that sleep next to each other" she said before rolling on to her side and propping her head up with her hand. It wasn't until then she realized how bad that sentenced actually sounded. " I MEAN, like next to each other in different beds but sharing a room" she nervously laughed as she tried to make it as least awkward as possible but for her it seemed to be the exact opposite affect. "I'm just going to shut up now...." she said before planting a sheepish smile upon her face.
Emilia did was she always did when she was nervous. she started to bite her lip lightly. the only things there were going through her mind right now were the fact that she now probably made it uncomfortably awkward for her and Lily. This would simply not due. Emilia turned her self around so her feet were by her pillow and her head was by her trunk. she reached down and on hooked her trunk before pulling the top up and opening it. Some how in some way she maneuvered herself around the trunk and reached in, pulling out a little bag of goodies she had taken the night before. mainly they were just cookies. She figured they could have a little something to nibble on while the awkwardness consumed their souls. She moved away from her trunk before closing it, seeing as she didn't want to close it on her hand or something.
Emilia did a 180 turn with her entire body so her head was at her pillow once again. she opened the bag and reached in pulling out a chocolate chip cookie. Sure that wasn't the only kind in there but it was certainly her favorite. "Would you care for one? I stol- borrowed them from the kitchen just after dinner yesterday." she grinned happily. Emilia was always willing to share her things.

Lily shrugged her shoulders whilst thinking to herself. She scratched the end of her nose and sighed softly. It was a strange sort of infatuation James had with her and the even stranger thing was she was actually already somewhat accustomed with it. It wasn't as if there was anything she could really do about it now but turn him down, repeatedly, as she had been doing for what felt like forever. It was a shame the boy didn't let up, they could have been actual friends if he wasn't such a pain in the arse, or such a bully.
"The thought of him watching me sleep isn't exactly a comfort either and if he's thought of ever doing that sort of thing then surely other boys would have." Lily thought for a brief second, surely Hogwarts wouldn't allow boys to spy through the girls windows and vice verser. "Maybe there's a spell on the windows that prevents people from looking in but you can still see out, sort of like those two way mirror things." Lily was certainly going to spend some time looking into this.
Lily laughed softly at Emilia's clumsiness. It wasn't a physical thing that she did like Lily sometimes managed, it was a verbal sort of clumsiness where she tripped over her own words or said things without putting much thought behind how they would sound once they were out of her mouth but it wasn't as if Lily minded, it was all part of Emilia's charm and charisma and made her the person she was and lily wouldn't change any of her dorm mates for the world ... though she might ask that they be a little tidier.
"Not to worry, not to worry, I know what you mean." She said with a slight grin. "I've been doing all right, studying and prefect duties are keeping me pretty busy these days, I should be making more time for my friends though, it'd be nice to have a girly day or something, maybe after the exams are over so we can all wind down. Maybe pull a few pranks one the boys, give 'em a taste of their own medicine." Lily wasn't the cruel sort and she didn't like to see people upset, but a few harmless pranks here and there would be sure to lighten the moods of the girls after exam time, surely there was nothing better to do then to let off a little steam, especially after all the pranks the boys pulled over the years.
Lily eyed the cookie. It looked yummy. "Thanks." She said, smiling and taking one, she wasn't a fan of eating on the bed because she hated crumbs, they were the worst, but if she was careful she'd be able to maybe not make any at all, or she could try and use magic to clean them all up, even the ones that were hard to see and yet still managed to somehow get in under your covers and irritate your hand or feet or somewhere exposed and yet when you go to look for it, it suddenly disappears. Lily was probably over thinking this a bit but she was a little analytical about things. Taking a bite of the cookie, Lily held her free hand under her chin to catch any crumbs, sure enough some fell onto her hand. "Those house elves sure know how to make some great cookies!"

Emilia laughed softly. The thought of James actually trying to sneak a peek at Lily amused her, Not that Lily wasn't attractive but something told her James was a little bit of a gentlemen to not peek in on girls. "I don't think it's possible for a boy to peek in on a girl or vice versa. but.. Just in-case we should start closing the curtains at night... Or put some type of charm up so we could look out but they cants see in...Cave Inimicum i think it's called... I'm not too sure I was never good at charms." she admitted before rubbing her chin lightly.
Emilia sighed with relief knowing Lily understood what she was trying to say. " Perfect duties sound boring. Personally, I'd never ever become a perfect. I'd be horrible at it, Bullies, that I can stop but the fact that I'd have to keep people in place while I'd be one of them who would be braking the rules too." She realized she had said a little too much. "but of course you didn't hear that" she added before laughing lightly at her slip of the tongue. but the thought of pulling prank on a boy after exams did sound fun. "We should pull a prank on someone... maybe dye someones hair hot pink" she laughed.
As Emilia held the tray of cookies, she smiled brightly as Lily took one. pulling the tray towards her before taking one and basically stuffing it in her face. She's always had a soft spot for sweets. these cookies were some of her favorites; so she was happy to share them with Lily. "are they Delicious?!" she asked happily. Personally, She didn't care if crumbs got on her beds, It wasn't anything that really bothered her to the point where she couldn't sleep. "I love the cookies they make, well, I love basically all cookies, except ones with nuts in them... those aren't as good as normal chocolate chip. Also white chocolate kind of bothers me... I don't like it, although it's suppose to taste like normal chocolate, I don't think so. It has a funny after taste." she ended up rambling again.
Emilia rolled over onto her stomach after placing the tray of cookies on the little table that sat between Emilia and Lily, just in-case Lily wanted another one. "How's classes been for you? I don't remember if I asked this or not." she laughed slightly at herself and her memory problems. "oh! did you see the fight a few days ago? I guess a Hufflepuff got sick and tired of being picked on some Slytherin's and did something about it. Good for them." she thought of. It wasn't everyday that someone for that badger house did something about being bullied. It happened every once in a while but not to often as it should.
