Let me tell you, a little something about myself[/color]
Ian Baxter is a half-blood wizard. His father was a wizard, and his mother was a Muggle. His mother, who is rather dim-witted, didn't realize that when her husband took out this random stick and pointed it at things, was creating magic. His father had to legitimately sit her down and explain to her that he was a wizard. After telling her, his mother had merely replied, "Oh, so you're a magician!"
Ian was the first child in his family, but not the last. He had two younger sisters. His father was a Ravenclaw when he went to school, and Ian had been expecting to follow into his father's footsteps. Instead, he became a Slytherin. He didn't particularly mind, mainly because he knew nothing of House rivalry. Due to the fact that his father didn't participate in such rivalries when he was in school, he never realized how bad it was, particularly between Gryffindor and Slytherin.
Ian had always been a sociable bloke (albeit owning a somewhat short temper), and therefore when he tried to make friends with everyone he could, he didn't understand why the Gryffindors and many Hufflepuffs wouldn't talk to him. He was rather taken aback, and got the distinct impression that perhaps Gryffindors were snobs. He had done nothing wrong, so why was he getting stuck-up noses?
In Ian's third year, he decided to try out for the Quidditch team due to the fact that his friends had. He tried out for every position, but the one that was best for him was Beater. Many of his mates thought that his slight frame might make him a good Seeker, but the position wasn't available. People were actually surprised that a boy with such a slender frame could be such a good Beater. Ian learned to absolutely love Quidditch, and it became his favourite passtime.
Classes were something that he wasn't the best at. He tried his best, but nothing seemed to come to him without great help. He always wondered if he had inherited his mother's "slow" gene, but realized that he could be witty, and was good at things once someone showed him one-on-one.
Ian always got along with most people. Although if provoked, Ian could say some nasty things, it wasn't really in his nature. The only people he seemed to have issues with were people who judged him because of what House he was in. Ian always seemed to have a girlfriend, but none of them worked out. He wasn't too worried anyways, because who married their school sweetheart anyways?
