Alice was the kind of hogwarts student who simply couldn't let the school go. She'd quit her job at the ministry. Frankly she hated serving tea to large men. She hated serving tea to anyone. As far as she was concerned they could take their damn sugar cubes and shove them up their- anyway... Alice had quit her job and instead of staying in her flat in London and living off her parents, she'd taken up busing tables for Madam Rosemerta and staying above the Three Broom Sticks. This way she got to see most of her friends and was free to come and go when she wanted. Not to mention she had access to the library at Hogwarts. It was like a second home to her.
Climbing the stairs she made her way to the shelf lined walls of her sanctuary. It was no secret that Alice Hallows was a book worm. So the librarian was not at all shocked to see her there today. With a slight wave Alice made her way to the back of the shelves and took down a book she'd more than likely already read.
It was then that a tuft of dark hair caught her eye. She quickly thought James but given where they were she knew better. "Havok?!" He was an old friend of her's a few years younger than she was. They'd studied together a good many time.

He was bored out of his mind and his father and mother were gone for winter break so instead of heading home, he decided to stay and get caught up in some of the subjects he was lacking behind in. Havok was a brilliant kid, but his mind was else where it was common for him to get caught up in muggle studies, but that was because he learned from his father. He was knee deep in a book and he shook his head, getting facts straight for a potions paper. Never been really great at potions, but he was a master at DADA. As he heard his name, his eyes peeled from the pages and saw Alice. "Oh hello." Not thinking anything of it he looked back down at his book and took in the last paragraph until he thought about who he had seen.
"ALICE!" He about screamed her name as he jumped up and pulled her into a hug. "How have you been? I haven't seen you in a couple of years!" Then it dawned on him, why was she here? She graduated, and to make certain why he hadn't seen her in a couple of years, well that was because she didn't actually attend the school anymore. "Wait a second....why are you even here?"
Dumbfounded he watched her, ever since he was a second year he's had his eyes on her, but knew she was off limits so he gave up indefinitely. Eyes scanning the library for a moment he was more lost and confused than anything else. He wanted to get this paper done tonight, but if he didn't it wasn't going to kill him. Havok has always been of the quiet sort, not really one to engage in conversations, but if he was, it was sometimes difficult to make him stop.
Though after the years, it was hard to forget who helped him with his assignments, lead him to understand some of the most difficult papers in charms, or even the mechanics on casting a charm. They became rather good friends in her time at Hogwarts, but he was never one to intrude on personal information. "Are you still working at the ministry? Though I would assume you're not considering you're here." He was severely confused, but would soon get over it.

He didn't seem too happy to see her, but just as she was turning awkwardly to leave him alone, he screamed her name and she as being pulled into hug. Laughing she hugged him back and grinned. Havok was such a good friend to her. "Couple of years?? I only graduated last June you goof!!! Have you missed me that much?"
Once she was released from the embrace, she brushed back a bit of her hair and leaned against the table he'd been hunkered down at. He sure talked a lot when he was comfortable with the other person in the conversation. Alice liked this because it made her feel like she talked less. Quite often she felt as though she were talking too much. So when others stepped up to the chatter box she was a little relieved.
"Yeah, being a tea tray girl is not all its cracked up to be. I hated it honestly. I quit about a few months ago maybe? Now I bus tables for Madam Rosemerta at the Three Broomsticks and she lets me stay at the inn. I just came up to the library to get more reading material. Witchy Weekly gets kind of boring after a while." I smiled at him. Alice was a Hogwarts junky. Maybe she'd never leave. Noo.. that was silly. She'd end up getting married and having kids some day and...She was getting a little ahead of herself. "So what have you been up to? Not going home for hols huh?"

He laughed it off casually, of course where was his mind, or right, Havok was studying up on some of his behind classes. "Ah, but Alice, you remember how I get when I'm knee deep in a book, or working on a paper, and not to mention it seems like years," he smiled up at her from the table and taped the side of his head.
"I could only imagine being a tea tray girl, did you wear a dress? That would be awefully awkward for me I believe." Laughing quietly he leaned back in the chair and watched her for a few moment. "Three broomsticks isn't so bad, great atmosphere to say the least, you get a few shadey sort, but not as much as the Hogs Head. You're lucky Madam Rosemerta is a nice lady, though you're a nice lady yourself. What was that thing you use to tell me when I was in a sour mood?" He thought on it for a while then lifted his fingers and blurbed out, "ah! You can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar! Thats what it was. Hum." He bite the inside of his lip thinking nearly silently and laughed.
She wanted to know about him and he nodded. "Mutti and Vati, they decided that they were going to go on vacation, Vatti is back from a military break and she wanted him all to herself, so they left me here to rot." His lips curved upward into a grin and continued, "I don't really mind staying here for the holidays though, I've much to catch up on, and the only class I know that I am passing is Muggle Studies, and the way the Slytherins have been acting up lately, it only spells trouble for me."
