Well I'm orbiting the world And it's so pretty and so lonely My little love affairs are all scheduled 'round the TV guide And my sex life has all been plagiarized In an attempt to meet a harsh deadline
His head was pounding slightly but that was alright. Remus had ample distractions for the rest of the night and for a moment, he couldn't be gladder that some professors actually tended to give their students work during the holidays. New years had only just passed and Remus knew, he knew, he had been staying up too long (Gryffindor New Years Party in the common room a few days ago..), knowing his transformation would occur less than a week later - he should've taken all the sleep he could get! But he hadn't.
He was fine, though, and he smiled a little as he looked at Annelise over the rim of the book he was reading. The common room had been busy and intrusive on his senses, despite the fact it was the christmas holidays, so they had moved here - the room of requirement had been a place of pleasant privacy for the both of them and he was glad to have Annelise here with him. He didn't know how it worked, he wasn't even sure if it worked, maybe his brain was just playing a trick on him, but he felt calmer, somehow. Remus had no idea if Annelise was aware that the full moon was but nights away. He didn't want to say, either, he didn't want to bother her by saying or make her feel like she should've known or something. Remus didn't expect that from her. He was just glad he could sit next to her, on the sofa, and read a book without having to worry about making excuses because he looked so tired, it felt so good to share this with her, even if the thing he was sharing wasn't particularly positive.
As he yawned, his jaw popped softly, joints and tendons complaining, already on edge in advance, and he smiled at Annelise quietly, moving over to take her hand in his and kiss her palm, just because he could and wanted to. It wasn't particularly late, but the fire roaring in front of them gave the room a lazy, warm feel to it - or maybe he was just high on pheromones. "Not tired yet?" he asked, though he expected the answer to be 'no', it wasn't that late yet, he was just tired. Mentally tired, not so much physically. His brain had had it with thinking, but his body was in no mood to sleep and probably wasn't going to unless it was some time past twelve. "Or bored?" His tone turned mildly teasing, smiling lopsidedly at his girlfriend.

Going to the room of requirements had become a favourite place for Annelise. Her main reason for liking it so much was because of how private it was. She had to admit that she wasn't one for crowds, but going to Hogwarts sort of forced crowds onto people. You slept in a room with a bunch of other people, your common room was shared with even more people and meal times had even more people. Honestly, Annelise found it a bit overwhelming at times. Besides, she liked to look nice, so before she could do anything in the morning she had to shower, do her hair, apply her make-up and get dressed. She missed being at home where she could wake-up and immediately eat without all of the in-between. What girl enjoyed being seen fresh from being woken up? Probably none.
Spending time with Remus was probably the closest Annelise got to such a luxury. Even though half of the time they were doing their own thing (one of both of them doing homework, reading, etc), she still enjoyed it more than anything. Yes, she liked having conversations with him, but being able to be together comfortably in silence was golden. She couldn't help but wonder how many couples were able to do this without feeling awkward. Annelise was happy they were able to. Besides, after a while, weren't most people just talking about nothing anyways?
Unfortunately, Annelise was aware of the impending full moon. She didn't want to mention it in case he didn't want to talk about it. She was happy to pretend it wasn't coming, if that was what he wanted. Honestly, the closer it got, however, the more nervous she became. It was the first full moon since she had found out his secret. She didn't know how to react, for neither herself nor Remus. Did he want her to act normal, or did he want her to ask questions? Honestly, she felt as if she had asked enough questions. This was now the real life side of things, the part where asking questions wasn't really helpful.
Annelise smiled as Remus kissed the palm of her hand. The palm was one of those areas that was so often neglected of gentle touches, that when it was done, it felt like a million nerves opening up.
"No, not tired... although you're starting to seem like it," she said, fondly, as she ran her finger along his jaw-line. She wasn't exactly tired, more lazy. It was so comfortable being next to the fire and Remus. She felt like she never wanted to move. Annelise moved closer to Remus and kissed him quickly and gently on the lips. She smiled yet again and continued with, "And never bored."

Remus sometimes felt a little bad for their lack of conversation at times and especially since he had told her about his secret, he had a feeling sometimes she meant to ask him things, but maybe didn't. Truth was, he wouldn't mind if she did ask him questions. After all, it had to be a pretty strange situation for her, she might have a lot of questions, even trivial ones, and Remus had opened up to her for a reason - he wanted to include her in his life, and that included sharing things like this.
Moving his book aside, Remus smiled a little wider. He couldn't concentrate on the words now, anyway, and when he felt Annelise touch him, even if it was only gently, he suddenly seemed to realise he had a body, as though she made it real by touching it. "I'm not tired," he quietly muttered before leaning into the kiss and smiling. "I haven't felt more awake all day."
He wasn't lying. Shifting a little, the book slid off his lap, onto the thick carpet on the floor with a soft thud he paid no attention to. Remus pulled Annelise a little closer, wrapping an arm around her to hold her against him, staring at the flames in the hearth. "Besides, even if I was, I don't want to sleep." Pressing his lips to her temple, he closed his eyes briefly, just holding her close. He felt like he could do this all night, just sit there and be, Annelise invading his senses was extatic in its own way and yes - it completely made him forget about the book on the floor, with a folded page now. "I wouldn't want to miss a second of you," he softly said, blushing a little.

When Remus told Annelise that he wasn't tired, she wasn't sure if she believed him. Despite all of her studying on Greyback, she couldn't remember what kinds of signs or symptoms showed before the full moon. Besides, when there were articles about Greyback, they hardly mentioned that he showed dark circles. More likely they were describing his brutal murders. As well, the man had dark circles all the time anyways. Well, kind of like Remus. She just found that in the past couple of days, they were more exaggerated. then again, so were hers. She kept having weird dreams about him transforming. All of her dreams were irrational. They all consisted of Remus turning and somehow attacking her. It was silly, considering that he hadn't (as far as she was aware) attacked anyone in the six years he had been at Hogwarts.
Annelise was just about to ask him a question when he pulled her closer to him again and kissed her on the temple. It felt really nice, too. She blushed at his words, but couldn't find anything to say back. Her questions seemed irrelevant, and she was sure she could ask him some other time. It was funny how he could make her mind seemingly become randomly clear and empty.
Annelise put her hand on his face and pulled his face towards her so that she could kiss him. Instead of pulling away quickly, she kissed him for several moments, not allowing even an inch between them. She only pulled away so that she could mumble, "I love you."

Remus looked more tired around full moons, which was generally the consequence of going nocturnal and not sleeping a lot. Also, his mind was easier distracted than it was, usually, and physical things were prone to distract him. It was almost as if Remus Lupin, who was usually so much, too much, in his head, turned around and stopped overthinking things. And really, between you and me, that is probably a good thing, too. Although the moon was close, transforming was far from his mind, incredibly far. He was too taken in with Annelise to properly worry about such things, and just having her close was enough to keep him occupied. The light in the room was dim, but that couldn't hinder him as he looked at her and ran his fingers over her blushing cheeks gently. Merlin, he was close enough to smell her blushing - and it was intoxicating.
Only faintly aware that his mental boundaries were down, he smiled into the kiss, closing his eyes and feelingsmellingtastingohGodtasting her. He shivered slightly as she pulled away, whispering an 'I love you' of his own before kissing her again, deepening it this time, pulling her a little closer. He just wanted her closer than this. In the back of his mind, he realised he was being more forward than usual, but he dismissed the thought for now. Annelise wasn't complaining, was she? Neither was he and this was nothing no couple had never done before, so he wasn't overly concerned about it. Running his fingers up the side of Annelise's neck, he trailed upwards and laced his fingers in her hair. Everything seemed magnified, his heartbeat in his ears, and for a moment he pulled back to draw breath, lightheaded by the lack of oxygen.

Annelise had a hard time thinking with Remus so close to her. It was like everything just vanished from her mind completely - her questions, or nightmares, the fact that the full moon was around the corner... everything. The only thing she seemed to focus on was the surprising softness of his lips, and his smell that she could differentiate from anyone else, even without a werewolf's nose. She had become accustomed to everything about Remus, even before finding out his secret. To her, they were all parts of him, not symptoms of the disease. She loved him, even the parts that he tried to hide from everyone else. And for this reason, she did not pull away.
Annelise focused on everything, from his kisses to his hands in her hair. She didn't worry that he was messing up her hair, or the fact that she no doubt had some sort of ridiculous expression on her face. He had seen her cry harder than anyone else before - he had been there when her brother had been killed. He had never even threatened to leave her, and she doubted that this step wasn't going to be the step that pushed him away. He was not Sirius Black, he did not merely go after girls just to get physical action from them. On the contrary, over a year's devotion proved to her otherwise. Even when she barely even spoke to him for that while after her brother's death, he did not go to anyone else (as far as she was aware), and when they began to speak again, it was like no time had passed at all.
Annelise's hands were hardly as innocent as Remus'. Her hands went to the hem of his shirt, and find their way up the back of it, touching his skin. It was almost kind of strange that she had never even touched his back before. He usually stayed covered for obvious reasons. Many of his friends paraded around topless (or nearly topless) occasionally, but not once him. She tugged the bottom of his shirt up suggestively. She did not want to pull it up all the way in case he felt uncomfortable or didn't want this, but on the other hand, he could merely go with it. Honestly, she was nervous either way.

Remus was far from thinking - doing was so much easier. Besides, there wasn't really a 'thinking variety' of kissing, was there? And if there was, it wasn't half as great. Now, of course, Remus didn't have much experience when it came to kissing, but he'd seen Sirius do it often enough - and really, it seemed to come to him pretty naturally. Sensation overruled thought and as Remus made a soft noise into their kiss, his only thoughts were 'closer'. It wasn't even quite a thought, it was a pull in his mind, something strangely possessive that made the area below his stomach twist, an unusual 'mine' sort of feeling, even if he knew in the back of his mind Annelise wasn't 'his' in that possessive sense that overwhelmed him now. He didn't care, he just wanted her close.
Feeling her hands, on his shirt, to his back, under - up. That was good. Better. He'd forgotten they were wearing clothes and the moment he realised the only next thought possible in his mind was 'off'. Remus vaguely realised that he normally didn't think such forward things, let alone do them, and that he should maybe try to slow himself down as not to overwhelm Annelise - but he was functioning on instinct mostly and that thought soon got drowned out by feeling again as he felt Annelise's hands move, exploring. Moving his hands out of her hair, he covered her hands with his own, feeling her fingers lace with his. For a moment, it seemed almost like he was going to pull his shirt down, but he didn't - pulling back from the kiss reluctantly, he pulled his shirt up and over his head, dropping it beside the couch (and almost into the fireplace) carelessly. He didn't feel as self conscious as he'd thought he would and that made him smile faintly. As much as he wanted to just try and snog Annelise senseless, he held himself back for a moment, quietly breathing and looking at her, her reaction. The light of the fire danced in both their hair and eyes - and on Remus skin, and all over him, it glistened in faint (and less faint) white lines and near his shoulder in still pink, angry scar tissue, as Greyback's wound had never quite faded. Would it scare or disgust her? Would she be curious and touch it? Remus certainly hoped it would be the latter, to be honest.
And still, he felt more relaxed than he had ever dared think. Taking Annelise's hand, he kissed the palm as he'd done before, kissing to the inside of her wrist, along her arm to the inside of her elbow - where he could feel her blood rush, pulsing beneath his lips - and so kissing himself closer to her. Part of him wanted to rush, wanted to just get lost in a whirlwind of kissing and undressing and - what exactly? He held back, though. Remus had no idea where he was going, he was just acting as the idea to do so arose in him, but whatever way this was going to go, he didn't want to rush this.

Annelise could practically feel her heart beating out of her chest. Honestly, she could actually hear her pulse, and she wondered if Remus could hear it as well. She didn't know where this was leading, exactly, but a part of her did. She didn't know if she was making a bigger deal than what it really was, but she didn't care. Honestly, neither of them had ever really touched each other in this way before. It was nerve-wrecking, they were young... it was exciting. All she knew was that she felt immensely comfortable with Remus, and none of this made her nervous in a bad way.
Annelise had always assumed that this sort of closeness would make her scared. She, like most girls, figured she would be uncomfortable with this. But she had been together with Remus for so long, and the fact that he had never pressured her or even asked her if she wanted to move forward made her feel that much better about the whole situation. They were doing this because it felt natural and just happened, not because they had talked about it or because one of them really wanted it and pressured the other to.
Annelise looked at the scars on Remus' body carefully. She had never seen these ones before. She touched them lightly with her fingertips, and then leaned over and kissed each one she found individually. She looked back up and Remus and kissed him deeply again, feeling a need in her to be closer to him... to be closer to him than she ever had before.

[Skip past nakedness? I never skip past nakedness, lol P: So your pick it is, then - I always play sex scenes no matter what, lol (though we might want to put up a mature warning in the topic title if we do xD). Anyways, your call, I'm fine either way. (:]
Remus couldn't quite hear her pulse, maybe because his own was being so loud - that and the fact that he was going more on touch than on hearing at the moment. He had vaguely realised what they were doing the moment he pulled his shirt off, but only vaguely, in a 'we'll see where this goes' sort of way. When it came to things like this, it was better not to have a specific goal in mind and just let things happen as they did, without pressure (although, deep down, he couldn't deny he was at least a tad nervous - of course he was!). His nerves were easily ignored, somehow, but other urges. Remus just wanted to have her close and grow familiar with every bit of skin she had and as he thought this, it was almost overwhelming how much he felt he loved her, his chest tightening, leaving him a little short of breath, in a lightheadedness that felt surprisingly good and exciting.
He'd always thought this would never happen. Well, not never. He'd always assumed it would be later. He had no idea when this later was supposed to be, he somehow had just always had the feeling that it wouldn't happen until 'later', that being some undefined time in the future he had no knowledge of. Better yet, Remus had always thought that once it did happen, he'd be all uncomfortable and stupid about it - and now he wasn't. It actually all felt pretty right and the bit of nerves he did have wasn't bad, it was just excitement and curiosity and butterflies and things. It was like a normal consequence of their relationship. Very good.
A tinge of self-consciousness. He couldn't deny that it was a little unfamiliar to have someone see him without his shirt so freely. Even his friends didn't see him like this very often (and they liked teasing him about being a prude), but although his cheeks coloured a little, he couldn't help but smile at the feel of her skin on his, fingertips brushing over raised scar tissue - and then her lips on them, making his breath hitch. He tilted Annelise's face up a little, pulling her closer to kiss her again and slipping the hand that wasn't resting in her neck under her shirt, dancing over her back lightly, mapping her out.
