The weekend was a beautiful thing and Alecto couldn't wait for it to start. She'd had no lessons at all this morning thanks to free periods and so she had spent her time focuising on some of her school work for once. For the first time since she'd been at Hogwarts she had completed all her remaining homework after waking irritatingly early, well apart from Care Of Magical Creatures but she was certain she was going to get a good grade in that regardless of what she turned in, and decided that now it was time for some food. The young blonde's shoes clicked along the stone path that lead from the dungeons to the great hall, she was wearing her Slytherin uniform as she had lessons a little later but seeing as she had skipped breakfast, now was most certainly the time to chow down.
Taking a seat in the sea of green at the Slytherin table, Alecto found herself a slightly secluded spot. It wasn't that she wasn't a people person, she just didn't like the people she didn't know. Being the well hated sort that she was, Alecto sat facing the Great Hall, looking out at the mix of colours. The majority of people stayed at their own house table, but here and there were a few colours that were out of place. Alecto didn't really care too much, she just liked to keep her eyes forward so that she could see any incoming attacks upon her. Some people really might class Alecto as paranoid but she truly believed she was being smart after all when you pissed a fair few people off, they tended to want to get some sort of revenge.
Today was Friday and as such, fish and chips were a part of the menu. Alecto grabbed a piece of battered plaice and put it on her plate. She looked at the mashed potato and chips and decided today she'd go for chips, she was tired of mashed potato. To go with the unhealthy fried stuff Alecto added some of the coleslaw and a healthy green salad to her plate. That was certainly a better looking meal. With a dab of tartare sauce and a wedge of lemon Alecto started tucking in to her meal, eyeing all the other scrumptious looking foods around, praws, crab and of course the regular sorts of meats for those that were crazy enough to dislike sea food. Though looking down at her salad, Alecto sort of wished she'd gone for a few steamed vegetables but if she was still hungry after, she might have vegetables instead of a desert.

Lily never skipped a meal. To her it was the way you maintained good health and she'd never been sick a day in her life. Fresh air, sunshine and three meals a day were kept her going with a piece of fruit as a snack in the morning and biscuit or two in the after noon but for now, it was lunch time. Lessons had finished up and Lily was packing her things into her backpack. She was left alone in the classroom as she dropped her bag and the ink at the bottom smashed open. Lily sighed to herself, just her luck today, she'd tripped over some poor first year that morning and now this, knowing her luck of the day she'd probably take a tumble down some stairs, or put her foot through that sinking step.
Clearing up the mess with a quick spell Lily headed as fast as she could down to lunch, fish was a favourite of hers and she didn't want to miss out. She had a free period after lunch which she intended to use for studying and then she had one more lesson for the day before it was dinner time. Lily hoped that she'd just have a quiet day with no interruptions from certain pests but there were also a lot of other things she hoped for that so far, hadn't yet happened so she didn't know why today would be any different.
Heading down multiple sets of moving stairs carefully, Lily managed to navigate her way to the Great Hall in one piece. She scanned the Gryffindor table for any familiar faces and all though there were some, there weren't any friends she'd sit with and she didn't want to intrude on others conversations or ponderings so she took a seat alone and started filling her plate up with all sorts of yummy seafood. Friday's were the best for lunches she thought as she grabbed a prawn cocktail and started filling her mouth with the yummy goodness, there was always so much selection.
