Poor boy wont know what hit himIf he was not a know it all then this would never have happened, but in Adel’s mind he had it coming. As soon as he raised his hand to answer a question that no one knew the answer to besides the cute teacher himself, he was doomed. Who knew so much about stupid faries anyways? she mumbled to herself as she briskly walked out of the classroom. On any other day she was the last to leave the room, but not today. Today she had different plans, plans that involved poor unsuspecting victims. She almost felt bad for him, almost. Like she said anyone who that much about everything in that class deserved to have this head on collision with this one tracked mid little girl.
Stepping outside of the door, she rested against the wall watching all the other students file out of the classroom. She waved to some, but her bight blue eyes searched for one in particular, Severus know-it-all Snape. Pressed against the cold stone she propped one foot against the wall and the other firmly on the ground. Shifting her books to one hand, she began to fidget with her hair. She was not exactly patient and even if she had only waited a few minutes it felt like hours. Though when the poor boy stepped out, Adel pushed herself of the wall and was on the attack. Slipping up right behind him, she widened her stride so that she was barely a step behind him.
Boy.You. Know-it-all she called out. Though since she was the impatient little miss that she was she reached out and grabbed his arm. Wrapping her delicate little fingers around his arm, she tugged on him. Then without warning she pulled. Most people are fooled by the pretty face and think there is nothing much behind it. They would be wrong, so very very wrong. She is a determined and she is an athlete, a deadly mix. Thus she was a lot stronger than she looked, thanks to Quidditch. So with a tug or rather a yank she pulled him past other students, into a side corridor. come on she said softly as she proceeded forward not looking back at her poor captive. Finally stopping she turned sharply towards him.
Severus right? she said as she cocked her head to the right. She looked him over and offered him a wide smile. She was half way certain of his name, after all they have been going to the same school for long enough. She took several steps closer to the boy, he would either back up into the wall or would stand only inches apart from her. She never had a problem with personal space, but this tactic normally made little boys back off. I need some.. the word help was not in her vocabulary. She did not need help, because that would mean she was failing at something and was admitting it. So instead she chose her words more carefully. I need your assistance, and am willing to make a deal she did not know exactly what Slytherins wanted, most times their motives confused her, but what she did know was that they never did anything unless they got something in return. Though she had accepted this and was willing to make a deal with the devil.
this might just be a head on collision word count: 558 lyrics: none Hey, Severus I couldn’t wait. Hope you don’t mind! I have a bunch of muse for this character

Severus knew that after answering a question as ably as he had, he'd be in for a more carefully placed trip jinx than usual when he left. So Severus hung about behind the majority of the class so as not to be an easy target or a source of amusement for a large crowd. Here was safe , there was a professor and that foursome wouldn't try anything in front of Professor Zolnerowich. or if they did, Severus was sure that the Defence against the Dark Arts Professor would be able to protect him, or punish them at the very least. And That course of action was infinitely preferable to getting his own revenge and the punishment that came with it. HE always accepted the consequences and detention meted out. After all, some of the things he'd done could be considered assault and would be grounds for a three weeks stay in a lovely North Sea Island Resort: Azkaban. Compared to that, scrubbing the urinals in the Boys' loos was a minor inconvenience.
He judged it safe to leave and he'd spent far too long pretending to read the chapter in his book and packing up his things. HE stood to leave, collected his satchel and tucked his chair in. He checked the corridor briefly and it seemed too public for them to try anything. Not that that had stopped them before, now that he thought of it.
Severus took off, long legs taking him towards the library with evenly paced strides. He heard footsteps close by and glanced over his shoulder. The only person nearby was a Hufflepuff. He turned back to the front and kept walking.
"Boy.You. Know-it-all" Was that him? He ddin't even think it would be, considering everyone knew his name. THe MArarses had made certain of that. Everyone knew Snivellus Snape. And barely anyone refused an opportunity to cosy up to the gryffindor gang by inflciting that name on him.
Fingers closed on his arm and the hairs on the back of his neck stood up, his whole body preparing for a duel or at least a minor tussle in the corridor. Adrenaline started pushing his heart rate up and he felt hot and cold shivers work their way up then down his spine. He needed to see who it was, so turned his head towards the unknown attacker.
Tsk. Just that Hufflepuff again. HE tried to pull his arm out of her grip with an irritable shake. Not only did he fail, bu the found himself being almost dragged to a side corridor. At this point, his imagination had gone from thinking about possible pranks into decidedly murky teenage territory. There was a pink flush across his sallow face, not a fetching look on an already unattractive face. What did she- Why were they- Surely she didn't mean to...Was he about to be used? if so, did he really mind? Probably not. So many questions ran through his brilliant if misguided mind.
She...She knew his name..He nodded at the smile he was offered. Still mostly off-guard from the way a girl a head shorter than him had yanked him over to the wall. She was closer now, and he belatedly realised he was probably looming over her. That and he wasn't entirely sure what she wanted. He leant back, feet stuck to the floor in a remnant from Spinner's end politics that dictate never to step back. "I need some.." She couldn't have had more of his attention if she'd suddenly done a backflip naked. "I need your assistance, and am willing to make a deal." Severus remembered the serpent crest on his robes and straightened a little, managing to say rather awkwardly. "I see..."
She was smart though. Whatever assistance she wanted, probably in Potions, or wanted some brew or another made for her, she was willing to trade goods and services. He briefly considered his options. IF he over-reached himself, she could easily walk away, and from what he'd seen of her, she was aware of how Slytherins operated. Attempts to con her or manipulate her would be shot down. She was a Hufflepuff, fair to a fault.
He doubted she'd be willing to trade on sexual favours and he didn't need that added to his current reputation. He could ask for money, but was too proud and also didn't need "charity case" added to his list of faults.
Or he could get a little more information before bartering. "Alright. What assistance do you require? I won't do anything illegal." Not without appropriate increased trade-off. "Unless I'm well persuaded. " He'd managed to gain a little composure by now.

The I.V. and your hospital bedGagster at least that is how she would describe it. Her wording might leave something to be desired, but the fact was it described the feeling rather accurately. She had never felt intimidating in her life, not until now. She stood five foot five and possible a few inches taller if on her tippy toes, but she never really towered over anyone. She also had this troubling habit of smiling. Smiles are not so intimidating unless you are the Joker. So when the boy who doesn’t smile and who towers over everyone acts like she is going to attack him, she could not help but feel a little bad ass. Most people take her for a ditzy blonde, not a terrifying gang banger. It gave her a boost of confidence, not that she needed any more. Don’t worry I don’t bite.
When he glanced over his shoulder, she did not give it second thought, but when his whole body tensed as she grabbed his arm her mind was forced to think about it. at least not hard she teased but her tone dropped off not as cheeky as the words implied. Though it was his fault, as she was lost in thought. She pulled him farther into the corridor perhaps farther than she had intended, but at the moment she was thinking, and not about rainbows and sunshine.
She did not know how it started, but somewhere along the way two boys declared war. It had been going on since she could remember. but did that make it right? She had always been friends with Sirius Black, but the Potter kid she never really knew. As far as Remus went, she did not like the kid, but she was a bit biased. He took away one of her good friends Annelise. Maybe it was not entirely his fault, but she blamed him when she need someone to talk to and she was not there. Annelise was with him, and it was not only just that one time. Though she always thought that group of Gryffindors’ were good clean pranksters. maybe they went to far? It was funny how you never think about something, until it is right in front of you.
She had stop walking and even gotten his name correct, before she cleared her mind. Obliviously she had not even been thinking about the here and now because she still gripped his arm, though her grip had loosened once she knew he was not going to bolt away. Sorry she mumbled as she let go of him. Not knowing what exactly to do with her now, she played with her hair. It was a good thing that he was more off guard than she was, because she might have lost her never. She did not like being caught of guard, like she had done to the poor boy. Though when she caught him of guard she truly meant no harm, but his reaction had consequences. She never thought about Slytherin and Gryffindor competition. She did not want, but here she was thinking about it, and she did not like where her thoughts lead her.
This was no accident Shaking her head slightly, as if that would help clear her mind, she looked back up at him. She tilted her head and smiled. He did not back up, which she liked. She was sizing him up, unlike most males she did not have to pull it out and measure to see who is the bigger man. Instead she liked to test reactions, so she knew who she was dealing with. Good news he passed. Mind clearing a bit she was able to get back to her old self, the one who had no filter between brain and mouth. Whoa you are kinda tall.
Running her hands though her hair, something she did when she was thinking, she was glad to have his full attention. Lets say she did not do well if she was not taken seriously. In turn she listened carefully to his reply, she paid attention to his words. Smart boy, he did not use the wicked word help. Instead he mirrored her choice of words, he really was smart. nothing too illegal she said with a smirk, what could she say she was a bit of a trouble maker.
She paused a moment, realizing that he probably was not used to her unusual manner. since you seem to excel in the Defense Against the Dark Arts Class I can assume you would be able to tutor me in the class. My grades are not want I want it to be that was the truth. She did leave out the part were she thought she was falling in love with the teacher though. She had not told anyone, who would listen anyway? So instead she wanted to excel in the class so maybe just maybe she would catch the professors attention. Though that was not the only reason she had come to Severus. He was also quite adept at another class; potions. And there was something that interested her more than the Defense Against the Dark Arts Class. She wanted to become an Animagus. though there is something I want more than a good grade, which is much harder to achieve. I think I could use your skill with potions, but she paused not sure what to say. The whole phrase but I don’t trust you did not seem quite diplomatic, but then again she did not even trust herself. I am not sure if I am even going through with it that was the full truth. She never considered herself a coward, but messing with magic above her head made her think twice.
Let’s just concentrate on the first Taking a deep breath, she looked down at her feet a moment. How far was too far? Closing her eyes she bit down on her lip. Lifting her head back up she batted her blue eyes at him. Reaching forward she tugged lightly on his robe. I can be very persuasive. She stood on her tiptoes and whispered her words lightly very close to his ear. so what is your price?

She didn't bite....SHE DIDN'T BITE?! surely that was a flirt? was that a flirt? maybe it was encouragement, mayb e it exasperation at his paranoia. Dmnit why didn't he /know/ these things. He needed a book about being a teenager. NOT HARD?! That must be a flirt. Mustn't it? Severus felt his breath catch in his throat and knew if he didn't try and get an ounce of control not only would he embarass himself by squeaking when he spoke, but he'd probably end up trying to hide an unwanted bodily reaction with his robes. And when she was so close there wasn't a chance she wouldn't notice.
Was it Macnair or Wilkes who'd said girls only played with their hair when they wanted you? Must have been MAcnair. OF the two, he'd taken more bludgers to the head. But probably taken more girls to his bed too. He should just...just try and play it cool. Be calm, a little suave if the opportunity presented itself? probalby best not to push his luck.
A red flush burst across his gaunt cheekbones. Previously he'd thought his height was his one advantage, less the scrawny limbs it gave him. Now though... "Is that a problem?" He tried to phrase it as a challenge, but just came off uncertain.
"nothing too illegal" THose words piqued his curiosity in an instant and he leant forward slightly. He was not stupid enough to break the law for breaking the law's sake, but when Potions and the Dark Arts were concerned, he didn't believe in restricting knowledge, particularly when it was such powerful knowledge.
So...she wanted to learn? that wasn't what he'd been expecting, and he found himself to actually be quite flattered. He knew he was reknowned for his Dark Arts knowledge, but also for its counterpart to the extent that someone would come to him for help? He seemed to grow an inch taller as he straightened, puffing out his chest ever so slightly.
"I suppose I could teach you, provided you do actually attempt to learn from me..."
Severus' eyebrow shot up. "really? And of course you plan to register yourself afterwards?" Not that it would matter to him. "There are potions that would assist you in acheiving a full transformation with a lower risk of becoming stuck in the animagus form...However..." He paused here and leant slightly back against the wall. "they are exceedingly difficult to brew, and were I caught....It's a lot of risk you'd be asking me to take."
Severus calm composure, typical slytherin cunnning and natural ability to block out distractions shattered as his keen black eyes zoned in first on her lips and then on her fluttering eyelashes. When her hands tugged at his robe he lost almost all ability to speak. Was she propositioning him? "Uh...I...You can?" He winced a little as his voice cracked, shifting up an octave in a millisecond.
Severus was staring straight ahead, one hand balled into a fist in his trouser pocket and the other clutching his leg to stop himself reaching out for her. The ugly flush that had made a brief appearance earlier returned full force and made it very hard to think. His cheeks were warm, his trousers were uncomfortable and she smelled fantastic.
The irony that here he was, a rather desperate young man seeking some kind of female company, considering asking for anything but that which he craved was not lost on him. Surely after all the signals she'd been giving him she couldn't compalin if...
"I still have to do essays and attend lessons of my own, and as I said, the potions you refer to are very-" He swallowed. "very risky...If I were to tutor you, it wouldn't be unreasonable to ask for a similar service from you." HE stated it, hoping that his false confidence would cover his true nervousness.
"I'll tell you more about the subject I would like tutoring in before your first lesson." He mentally flicked through his timetable. " Tonight at seven thirty...meet me in the abandoned staffroom on the lower level." No-one ever went near it because of the rumours that it had been abandoned when the Bloody baron had encouraged PEeves to stab the staff. The truth was, it wasn't as comfortable or as central as the current one and showed too much bias to Hufflepuff and Slytherin due to its location. Probably the intentino of the then Headmaster Phineas Nigellus Black.
