It has been hell these past few days, Rabastan decided that he was going to purchased an average sized home on the outskirts of Hogsmeade, just tucked away enough to not be noticed, but not far from school so that he and Integra could finish their seventh year at Hogwarts. Holding Loretta's hand, Rab was making an afternoon delievery of his latest potions and antidotes for the Hospital Wing. It was a nice day, not to hot, but not freezing. Recently he had purchased a child's cloak for his little girl and it was lined with a thick green velvet for wealthy looks as well as warmth. He had discussed his plans for the girl with Integra, and only she needed to know what was happening. The fact she agreed to it was nice, though the Lestrage's weren't particularly happy about the child, she was already warped from Rabastan's imperius so that she believed in how he was raised, she knew who people he's seen were (those that are important anyway), and she has a particular fondness for Lucius, granted, Lucius has no idea who she is, yet.
"Loretta, stay by my side until we're finished. Do not talk unless you are spoken too, and please do not take after your mother." Rab adjusted his cloak on his shoulders, he was dressed in a nice pair of pressed slacks, black dress loafers, with a black shirt stitched with emerald green thread and a green vest to match. Loretta's hand was small in his, and he held onto a box that was charmed to be light as a feather. While he made his way through the school, hoping not to run into anyone, he began to think that perhas this is good, that everything that happened was meant to be. There are no coincidences, it was meant to be like this. Finally reaching the doors, he let go of his daughters hand and pushed open the large doors that opened into the Hospital wing. The light filtered in and the two were standing in the entry way, there were a few others in here, and he hoped that he could make a quick in out. Rab's daughter shied away for a moment, before remembering who she was. 'Loretta Lestrange' she was a proud little girl, who loved her mother and father as they were and didn't question many things.

Notes: I'm going to make this before the Lena/Silvanus situation... since Bridgette/Silvanus haven't resolved their thread yet.. : )
Silvanus hadn't been planning on making a trip to the hospital wing, but some things were unavoidable. Teaching a course that involved magical creatures no douubt had accidents, but Silvanus didn't really care for those. Half of the time, the students were merely being absolutely ridiculous. In this case, it was even more special case. Emma McCoy apparently thought it would be amusing to attend class by sitting in a tree. She had thrown a stick at her friend, and in that course of action had fallen out the tree. The young girl was now nursing what seemed like a broken arm.
He had grabbed her by her said broken arm when he had 'helped' her off of the ground. She had yelled at him for hurting her further, but Silvanus had merely rolled his eyes.
"Class dismissed!" he had shouted in a very irritable tone. Yet another incomplete class. He supposed that he could have gotten someone else to assist Emma back to the castle, but he was hoping to give her detention after her arm got fixed up. Besides, he didn't really want to be in class anyways. Although the upper year students were more of his favourites, he still had to teach. Some of the students were completely daft. Although Emma was usually good in his class, her actions sometimes just frustrated him.
They made their way to the hospital wing. He looked around and saw Madam Pomfrey. She'd have to do. The Healer came over and gave him a reproachful look. He wanted to tell her to not look at him like that, but in the presence of a student, he could do no such thing.
"Miss McCoy fell out of a tree. Seems she broke her arm," Silvanus explained in a bored drawl. Madam Pomfrey looked at Emma as if she was expecting Emma to say something against Silvanus' story. He didn't particularly care for this woman. He ignored her facial expressions and looked around in hopes of seeing Bridgette. It would be nice to have some decent company while McCoy got fixed up.
A few moments later, however, Rabastan Lestrange entered clutching a little girl's hand. A whole host of comments came to mind, but Silvanus avoided them all. The boy was a Slyhterin, after all. Silvanus had a soft spot for his own kind. He merely glanced at the little girl, back at Rabastan and continued looking for his friend. There was nothing he could say to Rabastan. What would he? Why aren't you in class? Why do you have a little girl? They were all questions he didn't care for the answer to.

"OUCH!" Emma complained as Silvanus grabbed her by the arm she had just fallen on when she had fallen out of the tree. "Do you mind? Just make it worse, why don't you!"
Emma proceeded to be even more annoyed when Silvanus ignored her whining. When he dismissed the class, Emma groaned again. So now everyone was free to do whatever they pleased and she was being escorted like a kindergartener to the nurse. He freed her arm, but they walked in almost complete silence. It wasn't like she disliked Silvanus, but she didn't appreciate when someone grabbed a body part of hers that was injured. She cradled her injured arm with the other one. She had to admit, every time she went up a stair it felt like her entire arm was given a million needles all at once. Emma supposed that if she was going to have to spend some extra time with a professor, she should be glad that it was on that was at least good-looking. It wasn't like she was looking for anything with him, but he didn't hurt the eyes. They entered the Hospital Wing. When he stated that her arm was broken, she became annoyed again. He couldn't have mentioned that earlier? "I'm sure it's not broken," she said, but without much conviction. It did hurt quite a bit, and it was rather similar to when she was younger and had broken her wrist. Just as she finished her sentence, a boy in a year above her (Slytherin, too, she knew) was holding the hand of a young girl. She didn't really feel like she should say anything considering she didn't even know his name. She had seen him around, of course, he was rather hard to miss. He was good-looking in a non-traditional way... more of a standing out sort of fashion. What was a student doing clutching a little girl's hand? They almost looked like father-daughter. It was impossible, though. He couldn't be much older than 17, so if he had a kid that age, he would have had to be older - or things were just weird. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

This day, Bridgette had been mainly working on a student, Emilia Mcinnis. The child had gotten in to some type of pickle and ended up dislocating her shoulder. " Now Ms. Mcinnis, please understand you cannot do anything that involved moving your elbow above it's natural height for a few days. if you do, it'll be real painful for you and we don't want you in pain now do we? now get back to class youngin" Bridgette smiled happily at the young girl and motioned Emilia out of the bed and off to class.
Bridgette moved from behind the curtain that Emilia had required seeing as it was hard to fix the girl's shoulder while she wore a shirt. Bridgette moved over to the sink to wash her hands for the next person. the moment she turned her head, she saw her close friend Silvanus and smiled once again. She dried her hands and moved towards them. Silvanus was talking to Madam Pomfrey whens he walked up. " Oh, I'll look at her arm, if you check on the student vomiting slugs over there." Bridgette said to Madam Pomfrey. Her eyes went to the young girl, young like the student she had just finished treating like a badass. "how much does it hurt?" Bridgette asked the girl as she examined it with her eyes.
Out of the corner of her eye she saw a student walk in with a a child. A CHILD. Bridgette's face grew with excitement at the sight of a child, a little girl too! She's always loved children, and always have wanted to have them, but at this moment in her life she didn't see her self settling down just yet. the thought of having kids of her own made her happy. " May I help you?" she called out to the male student that had just walked in with the little girl. Bridgette looked back at the blond student that Silvanus claims she broke her arm. "Please have a seat on the bed number 3, I'll be right with you. and Don't move your arm too much. If it is broken, we don't want to make it worse." she gestured to the the bed.

Time seemed to stop for a moment and everyone seemed to be staring at the two in the doorway. Rabastan looked down at Loretta, and took a breath. He's never been nervous, and all hopes of no one seeing them had been dashed, but this didn't help. Silvanus was here, tending to Emma McCoy, a teacher and a student, just his blasted luck. Rab didn't mind that Ms. Hamett was here, after all he was delivering potions for the Hospital Ward. Loretta hadn't wanted to move so Rabastan scooped her up into his arms, as well as holding the box, which was still charmed to be feather light. 'I'm scared.' the little girl in his arms spoke, Rabastan just smiled and held her to his chest.
"Ms. Hamett, I've the monthly potion delivery from the Lestrange family for the Ward." He spoke confidently, as he set the box on an unused bed. No other words escaped his lips and he looked around at the situation. 'Father, who are these people?' Loretta shifted to look out at the situation. There was Emma who had taken a seat on the bed Ms. Hammet told her to sit on. Silvanus who taught CoC, and Ms. Hamett who was a healer. Under normal circumstances he wouldn't be caught in the same room with a few of them, and by now Silvanus was probably questioning why he was in the hospital wing instead of in class.
The cat was now out of the bag, three people in Hogwarts who were not family now knew, that this was his daughter. Rabastan was freshly 18, Loretta was two, which means that Rabastan was 16 when this girl was born. It wasn't impossible, and no one really remembered Rab from when he was younger, so he could of had a one night stand. "Ms. Hamett, I was wondering if you could give Loretta an unofficial check-up. I've not been able to get to St. Mungo's for a proper one, and my parents left the country and with me being in school and working with my studies I find it difficult to set up an appointment, that is, after you tend to Ms. McCoy here." Rabastan knew mostly everyone in the school, and Ravenclaws were not without surveillance, he knew names, he knew faces and he knew people.

Silvanus was extremely grateful for the distraction away from the students in the form of Bridgette. The fact that she warded off Madam Pomfrey was even better. Sometimes he felt like he didn't even have to communicate with the woman for her to understand him. He supposed it came with being literally his only friend. She even managed to pass Emma off onto a bed instead of having to stand next to him! The only way this could get any better was if he could leave. Unfortunately, school protocol stated the Professor had to stay with a student until they were healed or until they came up with a healing plan. The only problem was that Bridgette was now busy with multiple people, which didn't really add up to him being able to socialize with her much.
When Rabastan said 'Hamett', Silvanus was honestly a little confused until he remembered that Bridgette actually had a last name. Most of the time he spoke with her was outside of their shift hours, so it was always Bridgette this or Bridg that. He never, ever called her by her last name, so it was no surprise that Silvanus looked around expectantly as if some other woman was in the room. His eyebrow raised when the girl called Rabastan 'father.' Rabastan was being very polite, but Silvanus couldn't hold in one question that he had,
"Erm, Rabastan," Silvanus began slowly as he examined the unlikely pair. He liked the young man, which was why he didn't have a problem calling him by his first name. Usually Silvanus reserved last names for people he didn't particularly care for. "Where exactly are you housing your -"
he paused in order to be able to formulate the next word, "Daughter?" Silvanus didn't want to come off as rude by any means, but the curiousity was getting the better of him. He felt a little more comfortable asking the question, especially since Emma was off on the bed with her broken arm. He doubted that she would be listening in on the conversation through her pain. To be quite frank, Emma was beginning to feel like her broken arm wasn't a priority. Oh, look, a child. Let's all focus on the perfectly healthy kid and just leave her arm in splinters. Well, she was being dramatic. All that she knew was that it took two seconds to fix her damn arm and it would probably take longer than that to fawn over the child. Despite the striking pain in her arm, she merely replied with, "It's not so bad. I'm occasionally getting a sharp pain like a thousand knives, but overall, tolerable."
Of course, the moment the healer's eyes fell upon the child, Emma was put into the back of the woman's mind. Emma frowned as she was sentenced off to a random bed.
Cause that's what I need... to rest, she thought to herself miserably.
Instead of saying what she thought, though, Emma merely replied, "Yeah, that's cool."
She walked over to bed 3 and took a seat. She didn't really pay anyone much mind considering she was a little preoccupied with her broken arm. The less distractions she had, though, the more she realized her arm hurt. What was people with children? All kids are, are like little dumb, drunken small people with social problems. She heard Rabastan say her name, so she just waved her broken arm at them in a "It's fine" sort of fashion. While everyone fawned over the bastard child, Emma decided to test her arm. Mainly to see how fair it would bend and what kind of loud cracks she could get to come from it.

the sudden fact that the hospital wing was become more and more busy by the second and for a moment this morning, she thought today was going to be long and boring. fate had a different Idea for her. After Bridgette banished Emma to the third bed, she made her way to Rabastan. "oh, thank you!" she said as she took the box he had been carrying. her feet led her to the near by counter and placed the box there. She turned back around to returned to him, feeling he was going to say something else. Bridgette knelt down to the little girl and smiled happily once Rabastan finished speaking again. " Loretta is it? what a pretty name you have there." she smiled at the young girl. "you are so cute!" she added before standing back up, smiling at Rabastan. " I'd be happy to give her one. actually, I could probably do both at the same time. it should be easy. please follow me" she gestured for the two of them to follow them. Bridgette was trying to hid her excitement for to give an unofficial check up on this cute child.
Honestly, this wasn't the first time she'd given a check up on a child. in the muggle world, she used to do it all the time and it really wasn't uncommon for her to deal with young parents. "Silvanus!" she snipped at him and flicked his arm before shooting a stern look at him. "just because you're a professor doesn't give you the right to be all nosy in the student's business, first off, it's rude and second off, I'm sure there is some sleeping arrangement the girl has. If you're that curious, ask at a more private moment" she hissed at him. honestly, she was really curious but it wasn't any of her business and actually felt really bad about snapping at Silvanus. "if you're going to ask kinda confidential questions, you should at least be more courteous about it. like 'Oh Rabastan, would you mind me asking as to where your adorable daughter is sleeping?'" she tried to mimic his tone of voice but it just ended up being silly. then she realized the way she worded that sounded really creepy. "actually, I'm sorry. the way you said it sounded more correct. The way I said it... probably would have made you sound like a pedophile... please forgive me." she laughed nervously.
She walked to bed four, next to Emma who was sitting on bed three. Bridgette instantly noticed that Emma was testing her arm. "Emma McCoy!" she exclaimed as she rushed to the girl. " please lets not test your arm alright? don't want to make it worse than it already is now do we?" she smiled nervously. Bridgette lightly touched Emma's arm around checking for swelling "now if it hurts anywhere I touch, I want you to let me know okay?' she declared. Bridgette started to touch her arm, starting at her wrist and moving up to her forearm, slowly applying pressure. " once I'm done with this I'll check your arm for mobility, which could be excruciating painful."

Rabastan looked over at Silvanus with a bright smile, once Ms. Hamett moved them to a more comfortable area. Loretta shifted and stood behind Rabastan as she came over and started talking to her. Rab placed a hand on her shoulder, trying to comfort her and make her be a little more open and accepting. "Thank you." Speaking to the healer he helped the dark haired girl onto the bed and she clung to him.
"Ms. Hamett, it is quite alright." a laugh escaped from his lips, finding himself in this sort of situation was outlandish. "She's been living with my parents in their house, but I've recently purchased a home in Hogsmeade." That wasn't a lie in the least, aside from the child living at the Lestrange home. "Integra and I, have kept it quiet until we were comfortable with revealing it." Looking at Emma, he shrugged his shoulders. "Don't act like I didn't give them the option to take care of you before her. Besides it looks like you need more help at the moment." Rabastan's tone was final, spoken like a true Slytherin, or Lestrange for that matter. He gave the two adults respect, but was here mostly for Loretta.

Silvanus cringed at Bridgette telling him off. Women and their high-pitched, nagging voices! As much as she was his best friend, he really disliked when she spoke like his mother. He was about to make a comparison between the two women, but then realized how unprofessional that would be in front of current company. Psh. Why did they always have to act like adults and professionals in front of students? Students acted immature outside of class, so why wouldn't faculty sometimes? They were still people! It was for this reason that students feel like it's OK to disrespect professors or whomever. They don't see them as real people. They instead see them as these robots, sometimes with attitude problems, but robots who apparently don't think or feel.
"Hey, don't pretend you're not curious too," Silvanus responded to her with an infuriating grin on his face. It was the best thing he could say under the circumstances. He didn't refer to her as 'mother' and didn't pull a face or anything similar. Silvanus cringed at her comment about pedophiles, especially as his mind immediately went to Lena and how all he did was think about her. "Don't tell me how to say something if you can't say it better yourself," he said under his breath, a little darkly. He hoped she would just overlook his stupid comment as him being himself. Usually it was why they got on so well. She was able to overlook a lot of his (many) negative qualities. When Rabastan himself told her that it was fine, his dark eyes fell upon Bridgette in a 'told you so' sort of way.
"How did you afford to buy a house?"
Silvanus continued to question him, almost like a little kid who was asking about the birds and the bees. "You've hid a child for what - 3 years?" He turned to Bridgette as if they were suddenly alone. "Since when are students allowed to live off school property during the school year?" he turned back to Rabastan and finished with, "Not that I care. Just means I have less students to have to supervise," he grinned, hoping that a fellow Slytherin would understand. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Emma was able to make her arm crack in a way that actually made her laugh. Did it hurt? Certainly. The laugh was due to the fact that she wished Emilia was there to share it with, or Matt to gross out with. She apparently got the attention of Bridgette, although she was rather saddened that her cracking competition with herself had to end. Emma, however, heard Rabastan's comment, and something about his tone didn't sit well with her.
"Oh, sod off,"
Emma remarked, bitterly. "I said it was cool that she helped your ... child out before me. However, unlike apparently you, I still have classes to attend to after this. Just because you're a teenager father and apparently you think you talk smooth, doesn't mean you have the right to attempt to put me in my place." Emma realized she probably shouldn't have ran her mouth like she did, but she was a rather impulsive person. She was also kind of angry. The boy was only a year above her, and probably not even a year older. Who was he to talk to her like she was a child? There was no way that a Slytherin wasn't going to retaliate. Well, even if he didn't retaliate it would annoy her. That would only mean that he was trying to continue with this 'Oh, look at me, I'm a child with a child and therefore it makes me better than the girl who's a virgin and would at least have the common sense to use a condom.' Luckily, however, she was in a room with two adults. No doubt either of them would be pleased with how she just spoke to Rabastan, but they wouldn't allow any violence or anything of the like. Besides, Bridgette was successfully blocking her view of Rabastan due to fussing over her arm. "It hurts everywhere you touch it," Emma replied, honestly. She quite liked Bridgette. She seemed a bit fiesty, but like she knew what she was doing and like her patients weren't an inconvenience. Emma smiled at her, "You act like this is the first time I've broken my arm."[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Bridgette nodded, the hole reason as to why she had snapped at Silvanus is because she thought it was rude to straight up ask such personal questions. hell, if she had a child she'd share her room with them until the child was old enough to come to Hogwarts and such. As Rabastan explained that his little girl was staying with parents she was almost relieved. It'd be weird if Loretta was staying with Rabastan... or well.. with the mother. Bridgette ignored how he spoke to Emma, she should have said something but wanted to take the unlikely gamble of Emma just shutting her mouth for once.
Bridgette's eyes understood what Silvanus meant. She was in fact curious, probably even more curious than him. She love children and just the fact that she was around them made her even happier than a dog getting 50 tennis balls. but Bridgette just rolled her eyes at him, at his comments anyways. He was giving her attitude and she just didn't want to deal with it, of course she wouldn't deal with it at all. It was just how he was. She simply ignored the comment and continued what she was doing.
"Magic Silvanus. Everything is possible with a bit of magic" she nearly quoted a book from her childhood. before smirking at her own joke that probably no one understood except her. being halfie an all. "He doesn't have to be living off school property, he could have a nanny or something to take care of the child while he's here or something. Why must you dig into other people's personal lives Silv" she questioned him.
Bridgette tried her very best to ignore the comments going on between the two students. she felt it wasn't her place to step in and stop it. she was just a healer after all. she wanted nothing to do with arguments no matter how bad they would get at times. Physical fights were different. She would have to deal with the aftermath of it and she didn't want even more work than she already had. "Yes, Ms. McCoy. I knew very well how many times you've been in here with something broken. You and Ms. Mcinnis come here quite often, although you are the only one that manages to break something." she laughed softly "not that it's a bad thing. it certainly keeps things exciting around here." she added.
Bridgette move her hands to Emma's arm, bending it, straighting it, overall just moving it every way a normal arm should be able to move. also checking for bend in the arm where it should be straight or vise verse. " now do you feel any tingling or numbness? besides you know, pain in general" she smiled sweetly.
Her eyes turned to Rabastan. Swiftly, she moved across the room to a desk and pulled out a little checkup list. Some students require often check ups do to some condition they have or of the request of their parent. She returned, this time in front of Loretta. She pulled a quill out of her hair and dipped it in some ink near by. "Mr. Lestrange, has your daughter received any vaccines yet? If not, I'll have to get her some shots today or if you have her checked up with another healer they will have to give her shots at that time. Other than that, have you noticed anything? an ear infection or maybe she's been sick on an off? Has she had the chicken pocks yet?"
